|1.07km from city centerMy stay at The Fuzzy Log was overall a good stay. The staff were friendly, the shared spaces were fantastic - a fully-stocked kitchen, plenty of lounge space inside and outside, with a few game tables. They had lockers to leave bags pre-check in / post-check out, which is super handy. My deep dive room was very comfy for one person - I don't think you'd comfortably fit two suitcases in the space though. The mattress was okay. The main issues is the cleanliness - the toilets were filthy for almost my entire stay. One bathroom didn't have toilet paper for almost 24hrs, there was pee everywhere all over toilets and the floor, there was water and hair everywhere in the showers. I was truly bewildered because the hostel wasn't rowdy over the weekend so I don't know how they got to be in that state. Also one night, the shared kitchen was full of dirty dishes and food in the sink and on the benches. These are usually complaints directed at the people staying there, not the hostel itself, but I think more truly has to be done to have rules in places and added cleaning.

|1.07km from city centerI stayed in one of the pod rooms that was extremely comfortable and cozy. The price for these style rooms was also extremely affordable. The hotel was in a perfect location in Ljubljana, wedged in between the town centre and bus and train stations. The hotel also had a beautiful terrace area with surround views of the mountains and city. My only inconvenience I experienced was that the WiFi was down for the first two days which wasn’t a big issue for me but was for the handful of people that were there to work also.

|0.4km from city centerThe rooms are independent and the ”hostel” gives a level of security. You can use the common kitchen (small fridge on each floor) which looked ok. The room was clean. The beams were beautiful but the room was tiny, there was very little space to stand in (I am 1.77). The quality of the mattress (of the single bed - which I tried) pillows and bedding was poor. For the entire time I spend there (Tue - Wed) the common toilet smelled horribly and the floor was sticky - not properly cleaned- to the point I avoided using it as much as possible. I stayed there at the end of September, I do not know how they handle it in peak season. I booked the accommodation directly from their website for 55 EUR for a night, but as I have seen the same rooms in platforms selling for 70-90 EUR per night, I had higher expectations. Due to its proximity to the center and the comparison of the cost for other accommodation, for one or max two nights its OK, but definitely not more.

|1.02km from city centerWe stayed 3 nights in Asteria hotel and loved it. Location is very good, 10 minutes from train and busstation and 15 minutes from the old city. Supermarket is near the hotel. We, a couple, had a big room for 3 persons. The bathroom divided the room in 2 sleeping parts, and we had a small kitchenette and a nice terrace. The kitchenette is not really for cooking, but there is a fridge, 2 hobs and some stuff as glasses, cups..., good for a drink or making a tea. Everything was clean. Airco worked good. Wifi was good too. Breakfast is very good, with eggs as you wish, yoghurt, fruits, , cheese, ham... It consists of a small buffet and a service at the table. It is lovely to eat outside in the patio. The people working there are very, very kindly and helpfull. Next to the hotel is the restaurant ”Das ist Walter” with typical plates and good beer. So very easy if you do not like to go far in the evening. I can just recommend hotel Asteria.

|0.83km from city centerThe hostel is only 5 minutes walk from the station, do not look for the entrance, the reception is in the English pub, you have to leave a small deposit for the key on your arrival. The rooms are on the first floor of this pub, they are spacious, the beds are of good quality, safe under the bed to put your belongings. Bathroom and toilet clean and in correct number. The city center is only a 5-10 minute walk away. The small negative point is that there is no real reception if needed, nor a kitchen or common room. Good for a few nights.

The hotel staff were so kind to us and last minute adjusted for a late check in because our train got severely delayed. The free breakfast was also very good and had lots of offerings, beyond a typical hotel breakfast (even ones we paid for!)

Not only is the location perfect, and the rooms comfortable and very clean, but there is a gorgeous rooftop pool and deck and a fabulous restaurant downstairs. In the price of the room is an over the top breakfast (in USA standards at least). We couldn’t believe we got a sit down breakfast with a waiter with the price of the room. It was quite the treat. On top of the amenities, we were in a bit of a sticky situation and the front desk staff helped us through it all. They were so kind and friendly and we felt completely taken care of. I can’t say enough good things about this hotel and the people who work there. Top notch!

Nous avons réservé deux nuits sur Ljubana dans cet hébergement, dans un premier temps via booking, ma carte étant refusée (en cause une opposition car celle-ci a été piratée), j’ai donc directement appelé le propriétaire afin de refaire une réservation et donc lui donner une nouvelle emprunte bancaire. Nous avons été débité du montant et même 100€ de plus qui était annoncé sur booking !!! Tout a été confirmé, nous avons reçu une confirmation ainsi qu’un lien avec nº de réservation, 3 semaines avant notre arrivée. Arrivées depuis Bohinj vers 18h30 et fatiguées de la route, le propriétaire nous ouvre la porte de façon très désinvolte, pas vraiment digne d’un accueil. On comprends qu’il faut un code pour accéder à la résidence et notre incompréhension semble le déranger. Nous nous annonçons en lui donnant notre nom et nº de réservation. A son visage nous savons immédiatement vu qu’il y a un problème ! Il nous explique qu’enfaite notre réservation n’a pas été prise en compte et de surplus que c’est de notre faute ! Je lui explique que travaillant dans l’hôtellerie la faute ne nous revenait pas mais que c’était lui qui n’avait pas fermé sa chambre avec booking quand il a pris en compte notre réservation ! Vous l’aurez compris, nous sommes face à un surbooking ! En plein été alors qu’il y a très peu d’hébergement sur la capitale ! Je lui explique qu’il doit absolument nous reloger ! Il fait mine d’appeler un confrère et nous explique qu’il n’y a plus de place. Il m’explique qu’il nous rembourse sur le champs et je comprends aussi qu’il ne compte pas faire plus d’efforts pour nous reloger. Je lui montre que sur booking il y a des hébergements et qu’il doit nous reloger. Sur quoi il refuse en me disant que je suis particulièrement osé de lui présenter un hôtel 4 étoiles ! Je lui demande alors de trouver la même prestation qu’il propose ! Sauf que vous l’aurez compris il n’y avait plus rien à moins de 200€/nuit. Nous insistons et il refuse et ne reconnaît absolument pas son erreur, il nous dit même que c’est de la nôtre ! Il nous propose la ‘petite’ chambre de sa fille, et nous lance qu’elle ira dormir dans un camping ! Très honteux de sa part ! Il finit par tourner ses talons et courir vers des escaliers en nous laissant en plan, sans solution ! En lisant les précédents commentaires, je comprends que je ne suis pas la seule, il y a un mois quelqu’un s’est retrouvé dans la même situation. Morale de l’histoire, il faut se méfier de cet homme et de cet hébergement. ATTENTION !!!

Also the tub is slippery and hard to get into. The elevators were quick and there were several. However, there were some problems which we had not expected in an inner city hotel. We went out for a meal both nights of our stay and when we got back around 9.45 we fancied a drink only to find the bar closed at 10.00pm. On the first night we did have time for a glass of wine but on the second we were told the bar was closed. This was disappointing as we had already been out and did not want to go out again. We had one full day in Ljubljana and the weather was glorious. When we went back to the hotel after being out all day we wanted to go into the Terrace Bar and sit outside with a drink and to read a book. When we approached the entrance to the bar there was a barrier across it. We asked the reception staff if we could go up but were told it was closed for a photo shoot. This is not what we expected on a hot afternoon. The information from the hotel also said there was a restaurant but when we asked were told it was only for group bookings. These little touches make a difference and consequently we would not stop at this hotel again.

|0.67km from city centerThe hotel is pretty nice, though I’m not sure I’d choose the interior design colors. Room was clean when I first got it. Bathroom door wasn’t closing properly. Lots of TV channels to choose from. The walls are thin- you hear a lot of corridor noise. In general I had good time in spite of a very unpleasant incident with the receptionists (they apologized later). I wouldn’t pay extra for a castle view room as I did this time. It’s really not too impressive as you can see yourselves in the picture. Breakfast was good. Reasonable variety and fresh. Location is good. They started a pilot where they only clean your room upon request. I love the plan but! When I did ask to clean it, my mouth washing glass wasn’t changed and the room wasn’t as clean as when I first got it. I’m quite specific person and my standards are high but I do recommend this hotel in spite of the deficiencies. It’s not much to improve and I hope it will. If you’re sensitive to noise, it might not be suitable for you.

We were leaving on a tour early and couldn’t make breakfast so the staff arranged for us the pick some sandwiches, fruit and a drink the night before. We arrived on a Sunday when no shops were open and needed washing powder. Some was dropped up in minutes despite reception being closed. The restaurant below was good value and delicious. Apartment was big and quiet. Location to the castle and Old Town was a stones throw away.

|2.04km from city centerThis is a little story about how important is front of house and that customer service is essential to run a hotel. I can assure I am not a Karen in any way and I am not easy to be annoyed. We came on a business trip for 1 night only, exhausted from the car ride from another side of Slovenia. We came about 5 pm, with 20 degrees and full sunshine outside beaming through glass windows of the hotel. Although it says the hotel has air conditioning after we informed the reception that it doesn’t work, our receptionist ( who looks like she had a bad day) explained that IT IS WINTER. And the air conditioning is not turned on in the whole hotel. Use the windows instead. We then dreamt about the coffee. Not a single kettle to use in the whole hotel, restaurant closed. We couldn’t even buy a bottle of water (no water in the room). We went to town. We received a parking hob with a £20 deposit for the parking space and at night before our very busy departure I wanted to return it. I have been told that I have to unpark my car in the morning, put the parking block up, LEAVE THE CAR IN THE MIDDLE OF THE STREET with no alternative parking available, get myself back to the hotel desk and then give it back. When I said it is quite problematic to do in the morning this way I would like to return tonight, I got reprimanded, rudely, that I have to do it otherwise my deposit will not be given back. I then heard her slagging me off in Slovenian when I was waiting for the elevator. I hope someone takes notes for the staff training… The room was clean and cosy, slightly small to my liking but good value for money.

|0.7km from city centerI was thinking that I only need a place to stay while breaking-down my trip back home from Italy, so the most important ”attribute” for it was not to spend too much time driving in the city, to be close to the highway and, at the same time, to the city center. And Wud is perfectly located. If you do not need to spend too much time finding it, if you do not have too much time to find a parking place, if you need to rest and you are looking for a quiet area. From my window I could literally see the mountains (or hills) even if the room was on the ground floor. The room was absolutely clean, big and comfortable. Good lights, good beds and pillows, good taste everywhere. The bathroom (shower room) is actually integrated in the room, only the toilet has a space of its own. Nice TV set, Philips Ambilight. Good breakfast, excellent coffee machine and coffee, very nice people at the reception desk. 100% recommend this hotel if you need to rest one night in Ljubljana. But not only for that, I think it's a good place to choose even for a city break. I'll stay there for sure next time. It is rated three stars, but believe me, it deserves more.

It only costs 5 euros to get from the bus station to the hotel, which is slightly more expensive than Beijing. In fact, if you take a taxi, there is no need to worry about location It's not far away, the hotel is super cost-effective, clean and comfortable, and the surroundings are very quiet. There is free chocolate powder in the room. The key is that the breakfast is too rich. I ate this and wanted to eat that. Highly recommend this hotel!

If you can upgrade to a suite, they are great. Sauna was hot, clean and not another person in sight. Breakfast has many options, both hot and cold. Omelets can be made to order and are served hot! One morning we were surprised with octopus ”carpaccio” - delicious. The best surprise was when we were not motivated to leave the hotel for dinner - so we tried the Robin Restaurant - the hotel's main restaurant. We were hesitant but found all of the food freshly prepared and at a high level of quality. The service was excellent too and our server knew the menu and dish contents as if she herself were preparing the plates! The prices were very reasonable for the food that was served - on hot plates - as it should be! Highly recommended!!

Clara was very helpful and friendly, and suggested some fantastic restaurants. The rooms were clean, spacious, and comfortable. As advertised, there isn't a person at the front desk at all times, so if you need support 24/7, this might not be the place for you. I was totally fine with that, however. Staff was readily available by text or phone, and they were pleasant and unobtrusive. I definitely recommend Galeria Rooms if you're visiting Ljubljana!

What's more, the breakfast was particularly lavish. Our room turned out to be almost a suite - and all this for a very reasonable price. If you're looking for comfort but no great luxury, this is the ticket. Particular thanks to the staff who were friendly, helpful and enthusiastic.

What I liked:
1. Very friendly and helpful staff
2. Spacious room with great view
3. Comfortable bed and accessories
4. Delicious and varied breakfast
What I didn't like:
1. Everything inside is new and looks nice, but it feels like the cheapest materials were used)
2. There was a crackling sound in the ventilation system from time to time. The technician came twice but found no problems. However, it really spoiled my sleep.
3. The gym has very poor equipment and bad ventilation. You have to breathe the smell of rubber from the flooring.
4. Pakring price - 30 EUR per day
In general, the hotel leaves a good impression.

The room for us, at the first floor with the view of the parking, was just a little wonderful! A beautiful bedroom, a beautiful bathroom and a living room with super-accessory kitchen. We used the bus to reach the centre and the girl at the reception explained everything in detail (stops, bus number...). We would be happy to return!
