It is a large hotel with big rooms, large reception area, easy parking, has a grand feeling to it.
But the hotel is not being kept up well. Walls have marks on them, carpets have stains, it looks and feels old. And so instead of making renovations and modern changes, they include breakfast buffets and lower the price some days. It’s too bad, I’m sure when the hotel first opened, many people talked about it.

Spacious, super clean and a big bath with full scenic views as it opens into the bedroom with a glass pane that could be closed off with a screen. It had a stunning floating tub that I enjoyed particulary! The balcony was spacious and overlooked the pool. We had a double room, deluxe. The scenery from the balcony was incredible. It had complete privacy as it had treetops and a gorgeous river view beyond the pool views which were right below. They arranged for netflix connectivity on the smart tv as soon as we requested. The rooms are new and well maintained. The resort is well run. From time we checked in things went smoothly and every request from the room was taken seriously and responded to at once. Check out was delayed by some unwarranted time. Took almost 20 min from the time we came out from our room though we checked out at the same time we had informed them prevous day. So not sure why so much delay even if they wanted to check the rooms. Most hotels take negligible time even if they wait for the room check as its merely a formality and all the bills ought to be ready. With the result our cab was made to wait for 20 min as it had came on time for airport drop! The pool service was lacking. The pool itself is strangely designed in depth . Its sloping sharply from 0.5m to 1.6m in a very narrow distance so felt odd . Also there were no pools handles to hold on to walking in and out of it. So getting in and out was very challenging. Especially so for those with accessibility issues and for senior citizens. Not to mention dangerous as well as the risk of slipping is high. Also the pool deck area has no accessibility slope so had steps or was one really high height to access . Other than that the pool was lovely and very relaxing as it was exquisetely set admist a lotus water garden of pink and white giant lotuses. The whole resort garden was beautifully maintained. Pool service itself was poor. Nobody to get the towels or clear the dirty ones off the loungers. Nor was there any proper service. Every time I would have to go over all the way up to the pool bar and cafe and ask for a menu or for somebody to come and take an order. At times I had to stand for a really long time at the pool deck and look for somebody to come attend or catch an attendants attention. The showers were in a really odd far off place and in a closed off room so had to walk all the way there which entailed a lot of steps again. It would have been easy if there were an open shower by the pool area. The resort itself is very serene and calm and right by the river. The location is sublime and you can enjoy the beatitude and calm that envelops the place naturally. I really was looking forward to enjoying the balcony. But it was ruined by nightfall as it has a big light that comes on automatically. So we cannot enjoy it the way we like. Ideally I like to sit at dusk and enjoy the birds and the fading light. |1.35km from city centerI recently stayed at the Sheraton Can Tho and it was an absolutely amazing experience. The hotel rooms were spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated. I felt like I was staying in a luxurious retreat with all the amenities I needed.
The breakfast buffet was simply awesome, with a wide variety of delicious options that catered to all tastes. I especially enjoyed the freshly squeezed juices and the omelette station. The staff were always attentive and made sure that everything was perfect.
The club lounge was a great touch, providing a relaxing space to unwind and enjoy a drink after a long day of exploring. The staff were friendly and attentive, making sure that all my needs were taken care of.
And last but certainly not least, the gym was absolutely amazing. It was well equipped with top-of-the-line equipment and had a great view of the city. I enjoyed working out every morning and it was a great way to start the day.
Overall, I had a fantastic experience at Sheraton Can Tho and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a luxurious and comfortable stay. The great rooms, awesome breakfast, club lounge, and gym all made my stay a memorable one. Thank you to the staff for making it such a great experience!

|0.35km from city centerEvery time we went to Can Tho, we stayed to the Saigon Cantho Hotel. This time we saw the deterioration of this hotel which is no longer a 3 star hotel. Very nice welcome. The people at the reception are always friendly and professional. They are very customer-friendly. There is no longer a bellboy to carry the luggage and show the rooms. Our bedroom and bathroom were clean and quiet. THE NEGATIVE : the buffet breakfast included in the price is a disaster, a joke of bad taste. No respect for hotel guests. The servers are completely incompetent : one of them, the tallest in size, hides behind the counter to play on his phone. The other boy, behind his soup cart, tries to do his job and that of his friend, but seems to have no motivation. No manager came during our presence to monitor the work of the servers. They are left to their own devices without any control from their leader. Buffet food is miserable and looks like leftover meals from the day or days before. Many customers enter the buffet breakfast room, watch the culinary disaster and leave without even having a coffee. Such a situation is unworthy of a 3 star hotel. From now on I will stay in another hotel in Can Tho.

Beds were low and hard. The bags were brought up at the arrival, and we opened the door of 416 with the key of 417. The room was large and simple but clean. Only the bathroom was strange. You have to shower behind a glass wall but the water must flow five meters to the other side of the dish, the whole floor is wet and glittering. When you get up early, you must let the hot water crank run long before you have hot water. We had to sleep in a building against the hotel, which you reach through a kind of renovated garage with here and there rough.

Our room was beautiful, the pool area was really well designed and we loved learning about the brilliant green policies and processes that make this an ecolodge. The highlight was the Mekong delay tour with our amazing guide Vincent. We visited Cai Rang Floating market, a local market (on land!), a rice noodle factory where we got a go at making some noodles and a fruit farm where we rowed through the orchards. Vincent was so enthusiastic and told us loads of interesting things about the life in Can Tho. Thanks for an idyllic few days!

Our nice tour guide Mr. Hai picked us up at 5 in the morning at the hotel. With a small boat (not a tourist boat) in the morning mood we went up the river to Cai Rang. During the trip Hai told us many interesting details about the market Cai Rang, life in the market and at the Detalta. Then it went to a pasta factory and in an orchard. We can highly recommend you tour with Mr. Hai!!!

|6.96km from city centerThis is a small family run accommodation, with home cooked meals and a personal touch. The family were friendly, with the 2 younger ladies having good English. The room was lovely, and although we chose an air con room which was described as being first floor and not on the water, this did it an injustice. It was up about 5 steps onto the verandah, and although the verandah wasn't sticking out OVER the water (as some of the rooms were), it was right next to the water and facing it. So we were very pleased. I guess the room was a little on the small side, but it was perfectly fine for our needs, with a comfortable bed and good air con. I don't think staff came inside the room at all during our stay, but they did leave fresh towels outside for us each day. We had fun trying out the kayaks one day, for the life of me I don't know how we didn't fall in as it was so wobbly on getting in! We also used the hotel's free bikes, which was great. They gave us a map of where to go, to get to Can Tho itself, and talked us through it to ensure we were clear. I was then able to easily follow the route on Google Maps. We really enjoyed the cycle trip, it was a good chance to venture out on our own, and to explore Can Tho. We were asked each day to confirm what time we wanted to eat, I guess with it being home cooked food it helped them to plan ahead. All food was delicious, you didn't choose from a menu - which I hadn't realised, so was a bit alarmed when food just was brought to the table on our first evening, as I am vegetarian and my husband is not very adventurous with his food! But they had remember I had noted being veggie on my booking and had done me something specially, and we both really enjoyed our food. They had an honesty system for drinks, where you helped yourself, and wrote down on bit of paper what you had consumed. Then at the end they used that to create your bill. The only small thing I'd say is that I hadn't realised from the online photos, that there is actually nowhere near the pool to sit and sunbathe. It wasn't a big deal for us, we still took a couple of dips in the pool, but had we intended to stay more nights we'd have definitely been a bit disappointed there. All in all we loved staying here, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

The hotel lobby is somewhat lavish, the room I had was basic, but clean (especially compared to where I’d left!), and the bed was comfortable. Walls are a little thin, so you can hear folks in the hallway, and the hotel is generally a little worn. But a good value for the price.

The owner is also a friendly but comfortable hotel with a sense of distance. I also booked a boat to the water market here, which is also appropriate and reasonable. If you raise the drawback, the power supply and the key are integrated, so if you go out, you can't charge your mobile battery!

|0.65km from city centerStayed here for 3 nights in September 2019. It is located on the Hai Ba Trung Street, and therefore, walking distant to many of the local attractions. We had a window room overlooking the Can Tho River. The rooms were clean and sheets were changed, every day we were there. Bed were soft and we had a good sleep. There was a TV with both local and some foreign channels. A fridge was provided with complimentary water. Hot water facilities for tea/coffee were available. All toiletries were provided. There was cold and hot water in the shower. Wifi was strong and constant. Breakfast was adequate. There was fruit juices and coffee. All the staff was very helpful throughout our stay. When we told them, that we will be checking out early morning to catch our flight back, they packed breakfast for us. I found this hotel, an Ideal place to stay. Will stay here again in future.
