This is my second time in Japan but the first time for me to check in a capsule hotel. First Cabin TKP Ichigaya did not disappoint. The front desk staff were ever accommodating. I chose to station my luggage in the lobby - I didn't have to worry about their security. There was high regard for cleanliness and privacy was respected by the clients. There were more than adequate toiletries available. Sleep quality was excellent as the capsules seemed to be soundproof. The safe was very useful for me everytime I had to go to the washroom or bathroom. A flat screen tv was available too but I didn't get to use it at all. Every floor had its own wash room and toilets. The bathroom was in the ground floor; two private bathrooms were available apart from the public bath. Got to use the washing machine located there too. When I had to do some work or study, I just had to go down to the dining area or lobby. Probably the best advantage for me was that First Cabin TKP Ichigaya was just 3 minutes away from Ichigaya station and only 20-25 minutes by foot to the venue of my conference - Toshi Center Hotel in Prince St. It was also the same distance to the St. Iganatius Church where I attended mass on Sunday. For less than 3000 yen a day, I sure had a good bargain.

We stayed here at tguestd of our Japan trip, on arrival at reception were told we had smoking rooms as requested, when I said no we booked non smoking rooms, the senior Receptionist said that our booking was for two smoking rooms and that was what we had. I asked if we could have non smoking rooms and were told no we are full and we have a group coming in, we lasted no more than ten minutes in the room, we went back to reception with the booking form from Agoda which clearly said we booked non smoking rooms, Which the same form was pushed back to us saying, we don't need it, it's pre paid, so I approached another receptionist with the booking form and highlighted the non smoking rooms, the original receptionist stepped in and demanded to know where the booking said that, I placed my room key card undermining it, then he hastily started writing down room numbers and told us to go back to our rooms and they would get our new rooms ready, were moved within ten minutes, this should have been done at check in, it left a feeling of being badly treated and not valued as a guest. Breakfast was even worse, clearly only aimed at the Japanese and Asian guest, a huge selection for Japan/Asian tastes but for Western tastes very little, we found this the worst of our hotels in Japan, the location was good, but would not stay here again or recommend it, after all this the mini fridge didn't work and after everything else I just couldn't be bothered dealing with it, the room itself was great once we had rooms that did not smell of cigarette smoke, all to late though

The hotel is in a good location, opposite Hanzomon Subway Station Exit 5 with a vertical elevator. Turn right out of the hotel. There is a small fast food restaurant with ramen and fast food. It is cheaper and the menu is in Chinese. Go ahead, turn right at the traffic light (you don't need to cross the street). There is a sushi restaurant. The taste is ok, but it is more expensive. There are two supermarkets near the hotel. Turn right at the traffic lights and there will be one 7-11 across the road. The hotel turns left less than 100 meters, there is a family, family mart, things are more than 7-11. The hotel room is really very small. The triple room is a standard room with an extra bed. The luggage cannot be spread out. After taking out the items, you have to put it together and put it away. Otherwise, you ca n’t pass it. The toilets are also very small. The overall facilities are older, but still relatively clean. The hotel service is good. If you ask for directions at the front desk, the receptionist will take out the map to explain it in detail, and then write a small note intimately, write your Japanese and English in your destination so that you can go out Ask for directions. Free dhc skin care products are available at reception. There is also a late check-out service that costs 1,500 yen per hour. Because we were with the elderly and the flight was late, we delayed the check out by 4 hours. If you check out more than 4 hours, you will be charged for the whole day.

I had stayed at the Hotel Grand Hill Ichigaya during my last stay in Tokyo this week. The location is pretty good, near the metro and JR stations; room and bathroom space somehow bigger than regular business hotels (at least the room where I stayed). Recommended!

We selected Diamond Hotel because of the close proximity to matters we need to take care of in Tokyo. This is really an overnight stay hotel for business travelers. Rooms are very small and cramp, sufficient enough for a single person at best. Furnishings are a bit dated but everything is clean and functional. No place to store your luggage, 2 hangers on a wall hook, no dresser drawers, no closet. Essentially you live out of your luggage. One small in room TV with zero western stations. The hotel buffet in Plumeria Restaurant was reasonably price when added to the initial booking. The price was less than $10 USD per person. If you buy the breakfast buffet in person, you will pay 1400 yens. Plumeria Restaurant offers a mix of western and Japanese breakfast items. Dinner price at Plumeria Restaurant is around 2200 yens for a thin steak, 1 floret of broccoli, 1 slice of carrot, 1 dollop of potatoe, 1 tea cup of soup, and 1 mini cup of coffee. The pork cutlet dinner there is around 1700 yens. For dinner, you can do much better at nearby walkable restaurants. Several mini markets and grocery stores are close by too. Hanzomon Metro Subway Station is less than 5 minutes walk from hotel. You can reach most areas of Tokyo via train transfers. A refreshing walk to the Imperial Palace grounds is quite doable from Diamond Hotel also. Diamond hotel and Plumeria restaurant staff were very polite and attentive to your needs when asked. The free WiFi internet connection in the room often drops off. WiFi connection in the lobby is better.

It was an enjoyable stay. The hotel is clean and functional. There is a convenience store on the corner and its very close to a subway and the imperial palace grounds. It is a great hotel for someone in Tokyo looking to explore the city but no more but considering Tokyo prices I think its a good buy. I didnt like that I had to buy a ticket to watch a limited selection of movies. I think the selection could be greater if you have to pay. The room is small (fine for me im solo and small)but the amenities in the room are good. Overall it was a good stay.

It was our first time in Japan and Rhodes Kagurazaka Hotel, located in a safe and quiet neighbourhood and a mere 5-minute walk from the Kagurazaka station, was the perfect place to stay. Place was well-kept, clean, organized. There was laundry powder for doing launders and complete kitchen utensils and cooking ware. Keys were in the room when we arrived at close to midnight and we simply had to walk in. Upon check out we also simply had to leave room keys inside the room and left quietly. Receptionist was very helpful with directions and other concerns of first-time travelers to Japan who can’t speak Japanese. There are 7-11s and other convenience stores nearby, coffee shops and other restaurants. We almost lived like locals! We had a blast.

Booked Japanese-style rooms, two large people with five-year-old children, live comfortably, outside the window is the Imperial Palace moat, you can see the Tokyo spire at night, the hotel breakfast is divided into Western and Japanese two kinds of food, the combination is reasonable, The western restaurant is in a good environment. Children are also charged at 1300 baht for adults, because there are many convenience stores around the hotel, and there is an original kitchen where the wife and children eat at the hotel and it is very convenient to buy them back. The hotel is located in a non-commercial area, quiet in the evening, not far from the Nanmen Gate Station, the traffic is convenient, stayed for four nights, next time you go to Tokyo will consider this hotel. On the last morning, I walked from the hotel along the Imperial Palace Mohe River to the Double Bridge. It felt very good!

The price is cheap, the location is good, the procedures are convenient, and the living is comfortable. The price of Shinjuku 400 is very good. Will patronize in the future.

This hotel is definitely above and beyond expectation. We were family of four with two young toddlers, stayed here for 6N, apart from being very clean, the hotel surprised me with a free internet mobile phone which allowed free calling to some selected cities free of charge. The mobile phones comes with free mobile data hence you can make use of it to navigate in the city with online map. It is also very near to Tokyo station. On the day we checked out, we took taxi to Tokyo station to catch Narita express at 6+ AM in the morning and the taxi fare wasn’t expensive. There is also 24 hrs convenience store opposite the hotel.

Access to the Namboku Line is fairly convenient and location is quite convenient. You can also access the other Nagata-cho station on the line through the Akasaka Prince Classic House facing the other side. The cleanliness of the room is kept perfectly and it is very comfortable. On the other hand, I could not understood what front desk clerk speaking because of his fast-talking. Maybe too busy and not his day?

I used it because there was a concert at Nippon Budokan. As we were close to Kudanshita Station, we were able to come without hesitation. Thank you for changing your smoking reservation to a non-smoking room. The room was clean and amenity was available, so I was able to spend the minimum amount of luggage. I was worried about the fact that there were few towels in the room and that it was difficult to adjust the temperature of the shower, so it was not moderately warm. Towels were good because we could get a spare at the front desk, but it would be helpful if we had a lot of towels in the room if possible. The breakfast bread was delicious. It was good to have other coffee and juice. I would like to stay if there is another opportunity.

If you loves omakase breakfast at Toyosu market, shopping at Venus Fort, Diver City, Aqua City, visiting the TeamLab Borderless and TeamLab Planets, and hot-spring at Ooedo Onsen, that's the perfect location. Even gives you quick access to Disney resort and Haneda Airport! Small rooms as usual but the one with twin double beds is excellent for parents with two young children. The only downside is no car-rental nearby.

Check in was a breeze, efficient and high tech. Godzilla head is an interesting feature of the hotel (esp. for fans), and location is great, right in the middle of the happening area. room size is good, can even be bigger if the toilet is joined with the bathing area. can bring the 2 single beds together to form a large bed.

Suidobashi/Tokyo Dome
Their service is nothing short of excellent. They have staff who are fluent in English (and other languages as well, I suspect). Me and my friend came thinking that we would be staying in a Single Room with Extra Bed since that was what we booked as we attempted to be more economic. However, to our pleasant surprise, our room was upgraded to a much much bigger room for free. We are very thankful to the helpful staff for making our stay pleasant and extremely comfortable. The location is great as it in located somewhere in between Iidabashi and Suidobashi which is pretty much close to the geographical center of Tokyo. Head east you will be able to visit Akihabara and Asakusa quick. Head west, you will be able to hit Shinjuku, Harajuku, and Shibuya. The neighbourhood is fairly quiet and the Tokyo Dome is just a 10-15 minute stroll away. If I am coming back to visit Japan, this hotel will be a clear top choice for me. Haven't had the opportunity to have the breakfast at this hotel, but I will certainly try it out on my next stay here.

Shinjuku
Location is perfect, in the heart of shopping district Shinjuku. It's also walking distance from Shinjuku station. Economy double room is very small for two people. The plus point is the Airport Limousine Bus counter is just right at the hotel lobby and the hotel is one of the stop for the airport limousine. Overall is very good. Will come back here again if we travel to Tokyo.

Shinjuku
Great location. Nice places to eat all around. And a market with Sega machines and video games. Lots of convenience stores and cafes. 7 Eleven, Lawson, etc. We are vegetarian and found an authentic Indian restaurant on way to station from hotel. Hotel has shops and restaurants on Ground Floor (called 1F) ie. Family Mart - great for instant food packs etc VERY difficult to locate Reception/ Check-in Counter. Come to the THIRD Floor (3F) and you'll find it! Very secure. Use your hotel key in the lift to go up to your floor. Very small rooms at the hotel - Take one with TWO SINGLE BEDS - then bed size is very decent for 100 kilo women!! Rooms have TV, lots of ports to charge phones etc. Fridge. Electric kettle. Bathrobes. Slippers n shoe horn - See pictures... VERY LITTLE space for bags. Loos are amazing. Electronic pots etc. BEWARE - getting tub is very high - So buy a small ¥400 foldable footstool to step in and out - buy from shop called Daisu in underground passage to station. CARRY your own TEA (Chai) if you are used to it. Only green tea and coffee in room. No milk provided in the room either. So if you took the room with free breakfast, that's good - You can pick up milk and sugar sachets there. See instructions for coffee carefully. Its not simply a sachet. Water has to pass THROUGH it. Response to room service usually VERY prompt 5 restaurant choices for free breakfast (if you took that choice) of which 2 are American and can serve you vegetarian choices. See pictures attached for the Manhattan restaurant view! Very hearty breakfasts! 2 bottles of mineral water provided daily. All linen is changed daily, EXCEPT for bedding. Most staff understand English - else use Google Translate. If you choose to reach this hotel from the airport via Shinkansen, reach Shinjuku JR station, ask where the cab stand is, expect to pay approx ¥650. If you choose to walk with luggage, then take a 4-wheel medium sized suitcase each at the most. 2 choices - walk straight out of South Exit and cross road just once 10 minutes later. OR use the underground path for easier movement of luggage, and walk about 15-20 minutes (if with luggage) towards Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building - plus may have to climb one small flight of stairs in final stretch.
