Great job on a remodeled old-school motel, redone in a 60s style, but with some modern improvements. Bathroom was completely new and spotless. Bedroom was a little small by modern standards, but still plenty adequate, and as the bathroom, very clean. Room had a queen bed, TV/wifi, small sitting table, dresser, and a little room to walk around, with bathroom to the side. Nice steakhouse half a block away, and several other eating options within a 5-10 minute walk. The front desk is not staffed 24/7, so check ahead and make sure someone is there if you don't have reservations. I got there around 4:00PM, and had no problems getting a room, but you may have to make other arrangments at other times of the day. Overall, a great option to the chains, and very reasonably priced.

One night stay over. This hotel was perfect! Good price, well maintained and clean with a polite and competent staff. Breakfast was simple cinnamon roll, banana, juice, apple that was given at check in in a bag, which was perfect for snacking (or breakfast). We snacked as a great breakfast spot is next door. I’ll be back.

'Had it to do again, we would have stayed here 6 instead of 5 days all-said-and-done rather than moving on to Hiawassee, GA on the 5th day. 'But then again, I promised my wife a cross-section of Northern GA & Western NC for her Fall Retirement Vacay and that's exactly what she got! The staff here were absolutely Wonderful. We felt truly welcome throughout our stay, as the Staff were always vigilant with acknowledging our "coming & going" as we went about our daily tasks/tours at hand. Definitely, without question The Best Accommodations in Murphy! Location was perfect w/ the only drawback being a very limited breakfast buffet due to COVID-19 restrictions. No doubt during normal stays they have wonderful breakfast buffets. We'll be back! Thanx to all!

Having stayed at River Valley Harrah's many tines, The Staff and leadership continue to impress and give patrons a friendly visit. We stayed Halloween Night 31st , from the Desk Check in process - to the table dealers and the Casino Cage people especially Amanda and Pam . Friendly and efficient. Dinner at the Landings was as always great/ the table service/ food preparation on time. not Rushed . Service done with Your Safety in mind.. Masks/ Gloves/ spaced tables. we had the Burger and Chicken Parmesan.. The added high light was the Pumpkin Carving- Contest that the Employees entered and were they superb . The effort /detail was outstanding. This will continue to be our place to stay and gamble and have dinner//// already booked for Thanksgiving and added dates .

We stay at this hotel every year during Christmas while visiting family in the area. It is clean and located centrally for us. During this year's stay, we encountered a few issues that were frustrating. On the second morning, our television stopped working. We went to the front desk about 9 am to let them know. We told staff that we would not be returning until late that night and if we needed to change rooms, we would like to do it now. We were reassured that the tv would be fixed or the cable boxes switched out while we were out for the day. When we returned at 11 pm, the tv was still not working. We went back to the front desk and were told that no one had looked at it, as promised. So, we were forced to change rooms late at night, with two children. This was frsutrating due to the lack of follow-up. The room that we were switched to had multiple electrical outlets that were loose (the cord would not stay plugged into the outlet tightly). This was also frustrating, especially in the bathroom where you had to try to hold the plug in with one hand while drying your hair. This stay did not meet our expectations based on past visits.

From the time we checked in until the time we checked out 4 days later, we had a perfect stay. We were greeted by Alexis T. when we first arrived at 9:00 a.m. and even though our rooms weren't available that early, she provided PERFECT customer service. She offered to hold our luggage for us so we could begin to explore downtown.....she did it with a smile and could not have been more welcoming. She also told us that breakfast was still being served and if we would like to partake to please do so. She set the bar very high and is a perfect "face"for the hotel! Our rooms were very clean at check in but we did not ask for our rooms to be cleaned after that. We only asked for clean towels and the housekeeping staff were gracious in giving us the amount we requested. We enjoyed the evening reception (provided 7 nights a week/4:00-7:00 p.m.)held in the lobby one evening. That night they had complimentary chicken wings, chips with artichoke dip and cubed cheese......all hot and very tasty! There was also an acoustic guitar player in the lobby providing very nice music (low volume). The morning breakfast was very well presented as well.....one morning they ran out of bacon - no big deal! This hotel is located a 10 minute walk from all the action on Broadway. Super location! I would 100% stay and recommend this hotel to anyone in need of a hotel while visiting downtown Nashville!

My wife and I were celebrating her birthday last week, and Nashville was where she wanted to go (I certainly didn't mind though). We checked in on Wednesday March 4 for three nights. My first thought of the lobby area was it reminded me of the Contemporary Hotel in Disney World minus the monorail running through it. Our early check-in went smoothly as our room was already available, and it was one facing the park, as we requested. Regarding the room itself, it was overall clean and spacious. Next door at Bridgestone Arena, there was a concert the first evening, a hockey game the next evening, and another concert the last evening. We did hear their noise, but glad we didn't also hear all the music from the other side (rooms facing Broadway). Our check-out experience went well too with no discrepancies in our final bill. For breakfasts, we enjoyed the buffet in the lobby. It was nothing spectacular, but still had all the usual breakfast foods. Our only issue came with the coffee shop where on Thursday March 5, it didn't open until after 7am. It was an issue as we are early risers and were specifically told they opened 6am weekdays. Regardless, I would certainly consider staying here again the next time we're in town.

We spent two nights a week ago traveling for fun as a couple. It was a fantastic experience from our initial contact (the hotel actually called to see if we needed anything for a smooth trip or arrival about a week before we got there, which was a nice touch), to the check in with Elliot who was very helpful and friendly, and then all the way through our stay to our check out. Ellington's has a terrific happy hour and outdoor deck - Wonderful cocktails and appetizers (go for the pimento cheese to wash down with a nice dry martini!). The room is absolutely fantastic. We stayed in a Cherry Suite which is a big larger and has everything you will need. The beds and pillows are very comfortable, and the bathroom large. Morning coffee is excellent in the lobby. The location is terrific - right next to Painter's Alley and a few blocks from Broadway and other sites. The developer and designer did a great job of making a new hotel feel truly vintage. Valet parking is a great way to go. We even had to leave around 5:30 am for the airport, so we called the night before to make sure we could access our car, and they had it pulled up waiting for us. Overall, you can't go wrong staying here. We will make The Fairlane our Nashville hotel for sure!

My husband and I stayed here for our tenth anniversary, and it was definitely memorable! We had to change rooms twice, once because the AC didn't work, and once because the ceiling was leaking. However, the beds were super comfortable, and the atrium, pool, and fitness rooms were great. The restaurant has very good food and great atmosphere. Everyone, especially the lady that worked the front desk in the mornings, was very nice, and we got moved quickly and easily both times. I would recommend staying here to anyone, though it seems the hotel could really use some updating. We would stay here again.

First the good- we loved the location and would stay here again because of that. Plus, We actually liked the minimalist rooms. They felt very clean. We had read reviews so we booked a larger room with windows. Now the not so good- very unhelpful desk staff. We requested housekeeping but it didn't happen. Next, they checked us out a day early. When I stopped to ask about it, I was met with argument and insistence that our reservation ended now. I showed my emailed confirmation and then it was, Oh, Ok, I'll check you back in. Of course, when I got my final receipt, they charged me the now higher price than what I booked in January, for that last night. I emailed (no response) and called but it was again just argument, and my mistake somehow. Finally, the AC quit working that day. We reported it but the whole day passed without anyone taking action. When we checked back in the afternoon. They said, they couldn't work on it because we had our stuff in the room. They had not given us another room or said that was a problem in the morning but now just kept saying , they couldn't fix it because of us. Just to stop that argument I finally said, "OK, what now?" They then offered us another room for our last night. I don't expect any response to any of this. I see their canned response to every negative review. It's just a full disclosure to those choosing. We'd stay here again for the location and we were comfortable until the AC situation. If service and hospitality is important though, stay somewhere else.

The hotel is wonderful and the staff was exceptional. Emily at the lobby bar, Phyllis and Barbara in the cafe to name a few. Faults: no concierge on staff to help Nashville newbies on local dining venues or sights. Front desk staff very kind but called upon to fill this position and not really good at it. Also when checking in the front desk staff were constantly being interrupted to answer the phone which was a bit rude. Last but not least the valet parking situation! We waited almost one hour for our car Sunday morning to be delivered. This can only be attributed to poor planning on the part of management. We were told our car would be available in fifteen minutes so we proceeded down and joined at least another fifty to seventy five families waiting. It had to be known how many would be checking out that morning and should have been planned for. Not Marriott standards.

I was in Nashville for a business convention and stayed at the Hyatt Place Nashville Downtown due to its proximity to the convention center. The staff was very kind and welcoming. The hotel was clean and rooms are nice size. we had an issue with the hair dryer and GFI outlet in the bathroom and the hotel fixed both issues in 5 minutes. Great Customer experience. The breakfast buffet in the morning is nice, but NO restaurant in the hotel. Fortunately the hotel is surrounded by restaurants. Parking is $40 per night FYI. The only problem with our room was the view was covered by an A/C unit.

My first time staying at an Aloft hotel, but not my last. This property was quirkier than the typical Marriott properties I stay at, but happened to be the least expensive at the time of booking so I gave it a try. I was there for 3 nights with my son (17) visiting Vanderbilt University. The hotel had a very urban feel to it, the room was very spacious, including a sitting area. The bathroom was also spacious, however I didn't like the door-less shower. While it looked interesting, practically speaking you end up getting water all over the floor. The beds, pillows and bedding were comfortable and there were two TV's in the room allowing us to watch different channels. Amenities included a small gym, pool table in the lobby, lobby bar, and a place for a small band to perform (however no one performed during our stay), and a refreshment area. I was least impressed with the refreshment area. While there was coffee available, no breakfast was laid out each morning. We found out later (after complaining about the lack of breakfast) that you had to order your food from the bar and they would make it for you. Since I don't go to the bar that early in the day I never knew, equally my underage son would have never walked up to the bar to order something. In my opinion, this is awful planning on their part. But, aside from the food issue this was a great hotel at a good price.
