Although off main city blvd, this boutique hotel is still in a very busy part of town, so there are many grocery stores, small malls and restaurants in easy walking distance. We had a driver/guide, so very secure parking security was requested and we had a gated area. Surrounded by dozens of old-style (ugly) Soviet era apartment buildings, this was a newer, happier smaller building that appeared to have started out as private condos. Our large 2 room hotel apartment also appeared to have started out as a possible private home and then moved to a hotel arrangement. There is a large restaurant on ground level, but is not normally open (used as an event space I believe). Breakfast is small but adequate, served in sunroom by reception. Our suite #5 had a large refrigerator, nice firm king bed, balcony and cable TV channels. Good WiFi. Bathroom very clean with great towels. Water in shower takes a little time to warm up, then all is well. No hand-holds in shower, with a high lip, so may be hard for some to climb in and out safely, Excellent A.C. Some English channels, but don’t expect any CNN or FOX or CNBC in Eastern Europe. Would recommend.

From the elevators to the stairs, to the beautiful spa, to the bar and restaurants, every little detail is very thoroughly addressed. Rooms are large and comfortable with the highest end products from the marble to the air conditioning , very few 5 stars hotels in the biggest and richest capitals in the world can match them. It is a small hotel, perfect for both business and pleasure, with an extremely friendly staff. The restaurant is an AMAZING Italian place, and the Sunday brunch if you find yourself there is a MUST.

We arranged 5 days event in the hotel. During preparation and contracting period, the hotel administration was just perfect: sending all the details, preparing all documentation and arranging the requests. The hotel is in 10 minutes walking distance from the central street. Very supportive and nice staff. The registration of guests is fast. all rooms were prepared and the hotel manager allowed us to check-in earlier free of charge. The rooms are very clean and big enough. Almost all of the rooms have balcony. The food is awesome. Fresh coffee :) The management and staff of the hotel are the best.

I can only blame myself for choosing this place. I chose it because of it's location (close to the center) and price. And now it is good lesson for me to read reviews before and trust to them. A day before arrival I asked via email (in English) could it be possible to check in earlier than official check-in (14:00). The answer was no. Still I didn't have other option - after the long night flight I arrived at 10:00 am and I got the room (with the terrible smell of smoking). Actually hotel was empty - 2 rooms next to me were empty for next 2 days. I think negative reply to my request was because question was asked in English. For this hotel Russian works better for sure. I was informed that breakfast will be from 8:00 to 10:00 and it was good for me. For my suprise next morning when I tried to figure out where to find breakfast I was blamed that I haven't informed the staff at what time I would like to have the breakfast. Actually nobody asked :) For the next morning it was asked 3 times :) and still not in time.. The best heat was on my last morning, when I checked out and asked whether I could leave mu luggage until afternoon, and the reply was, yes for sure, leave it here - in the lobby. Just like that, in empty hotel there is no safe place for luggage. It is also worth to mention that my hotel room was not get cleaned during those 2 days. I don't know how it is possible to get 3 stars for this kind of quality. Actually I would like to suggest to remove this hotel from Tripadvisor list, because it is not the place where someone would like to stay. And for hotel owners suggestion would be to go and stay in some other hotel just to see, how they are working. And don't expect any smiling you back here...

It's a very basic and simple bed and breakfast. The owner who deals with the guests is very kind but doesn't speak English which makes it very hard. For example, before arriving we had asked about a vegetarian breakfast because we realized you were served a set breakfast. We were told it was possible, but when we arrived we got a lot of meat. Also, when we left it was impossible to ask him to help us get a taxi for the airport so we had to wait about 30 minutes because there were very few taxis around. As for the room it was dated and the linens were very old. It was also very cold, the heaters wouldn't turn on and we couldn't ask for help or another blanket because of the language. Location is very good because it's very close to the city center and the attractions. In summary, I would recommend to look for something else. For a couple of nights you can survive, but just be aware that it has its limitations.

I said here on business and wasn't sure how good the value for money would be. I wasn't disappointed. It was fabulous value for money. The downs first; It's not in a great area and we felt uneasy after dark. It was quiet and the bar was not open. I understand this when the hotel is not busy. On the positives; the staff were wonderful. The breakfast very good with a lovely friendly service. Shame only one cup of coffee was included but it was so cheap not to notice. I felt sorry for the young lady who had to ask if that was OK. The rooms were large and spotlessly clean. They are well equipped but I would have liked more English TV. The wine and the mini bar was great value. Strange to keep red wine in the fridge but once warmed it was very good quality. I was told the owner has a connection to the producer which is nice. I would say this is one of the best value hotels I have staying in in Europe. The Yandex Taxi App is a MUST as it's as good as Uber but amazing value. Just make sure the driver stops the clock at the end. Just ask "How Much" so he has to. Tip well as I saw the driver don't earn much. A good trip made better by this hotel. Excellent.

The hotel has rather quirky gardens, a gym, excellent Wi Fi and a choice of 2 swimming pools - situated on the 5th floor terrace and at ground level. I did not use this facility but I am sure that both pools would be very welcoming during a hot Moldovan summer. The hotel is fairly modern, with friendly staff, and has comfortable bedrooms that are airy and clean. I only ate breakfast. The food was very appetising. Our experience at Mon Ami Villa was a very pleasant and comfortable one. Staff are friendly and chatty at reception; the added benefit of Mon Ami Villa is their twenty-four hour front desk which made things easier when accessing the premises after midnight. The twin room - 305 - had two delightfully firm mattresses (own preference), wall-mounted television, desk, safe, large bottle of water, minibar and walk-in rainfall style shower. Beside the expected levels of traffic in the mornings, there was little to no noise. We weren’t disturbed nor had any issues with the facilities available to us. This review may well have touched five star if the breakfast had been just that little better. Whilst there is an array of fruits, cereals, meats and cheeses, biscuits and a solid coffee machine, the hot foods weren’t overly impressive. If there were more variety in terms of cooked breakfast options, it would’ve have made the two mornings we had at Mon Ami Villa extremely pleasurable. Despite this, we enjoyed our visit and would recommend their property to other travellers. It is a five-minute walk from the main, busy high street and a fifteen-minute jaunt to, say, the Arc or Central Park. We also had luggage stored free of charge on our final day and both check-in and check-out processes were smooth. Thanks for having us, Mon Ami Villa!

No cleaning and ironing servises are provided and you should do it yourself and if youl come for the breakfast at 10:30 you can find that some dishes are emptyr. Olga, Vienna

This was my second year to stay in this hotel so I knew what to expect. It was really nice to be back and see if it's still as good. Yes, it was. The welcome was nice, some of the front desk personnel was the same and some new. Young people who did everything to make the stay pleasant, giving advice or just chit chat. The room was spacious and very fresh and clean. The speciality of the place is without doubt the breakfast in the basement. The manager of the hotel makes her best to make it a real experience of art. It changed a bit every morning and I saw her taking pictures of her creations. I don't need so much in the morning but it was a real pleasure for the eyes. The hotel is within walking distance from the center, but in a hot day I took a taxi. What I really liked is that the hotel is next to Valea Morilor, the nice park with a lake and that is perfect for a morning run.

The hotel is really nice. First, the welcome... Extremely friendly receptionist and helpful! The rooms are clean and well equipped. Maybe one small comment on the bathroom where the shower is a bit outdated and lacking water pressure. The pool is large, clean and welcoming. We were advised that the bar was open H24 and it was true! First time I experienced this kind of 'availability'... We were not speaking a word of Romanian or Russian but the staff made everything possible to understand us and make our stay as enjoyable as possible. Thank you very much!

I stayed in this hotel for 1 night right end of December 2019. Everything in this hotel met and probably exceeded my expectations. Stylish and clean room, friendly and cool staff, relatively good breakfast (I think it was for free), great sleeping quality, and an excellent location as it's a walking distance to the city center. I truly liked how personalized the experience was as the staff left a post card addressed to me on the desk inside the room and they also provided a bottle of water, which is a nice gesture. It's a cool hotel and I highly recommend it, without any doubt.

I stayed with a friend. Twin beds in an artist room. What an amazing stay from start to finish. We arrived on an early morning train (got to hotel about 8am) and we were allowed to check in immediately without extra charge! Had a nap then went to explore. Reception staff were on hand to provide maps and advice. We wanted to do some tours so reception staff worked on our requests while we were out then presented options. Fantastic service. The whole stay staff were on hand to help, food and drinks were spectacular and cheap (order a black tea). Loved every minute and will certainly return.

Overall we had a good 3 nights here. Our room were decent enough, good value for the price, and overall the hotel was very nice. We had breakfast and one evening meal in the hotel, all fine, but we expected the menu to be much more Thai than it was. Hardy a Thai dish on the menu. Locally food options were limited, there is a 'English pub' close by (with no English beer, no English on the menu, and no English speaking staff...but lot of pictures of tower bridge and red phone boxes). Our door lock had a few problems, not sure why, they gave us a bottle of wine on leaving to say sorry which was nice - the staff were all good and most spoke some English. The area isn't the best to be honest, we had a rental car, so not an issue, but its a bit far to walk into town. The hotel has parking, but I think other people from the nearby gym/supermarket use it. Main bad thing was the pool area. Not only is it very small, but you have to pay £20 for an hour to use it! We love swimming, but decided a massage (for the same price) was a better way to spend an hour. We had 2 hour long massages, a Thai one for about £22, and a European one for £15. The Thai one was esp good. Overall we had a good stay here.

On my first visit to Chisinau I was looking for some hospitality comfort and I was happy to find this new Courtyard in the center of everything. It is a well designed property and offers some of the best acomnodations in Chisinau. The location is excellent. Rooms, even though small, they are cozy and welcoming. Service is excellent from the check in to everything else. When I arrived in my room, I found tiered tray of fruits and hand written welcome note. You would expect such things at luxury properties, not at a Courtyard in Chisinau. However, they are very attentive to details. To show their world class ambition, they named their restaurant New-York and it serves very good local and international fare. If I ever go back, this is the place where I will be staying and I recommend it to you!

I stayed here as part of a group tour so it not somewhere I would normally have chosen. It is central for the city and within walking distance of the main city centre sights. The hotel has a fairly impressive entrance even if it is a little dark and poorly lit. Check in was swift and I was allocated a room on the second floor. The room was something else. An explosion of brown fabrics and textures and truly awful to look at. Even if you took the approach of it being kitsch it was still awful. Bed was very uncomfortable and with scratchy synthetic fabric bedding. Air conditioning did not work and the old TV showed just a handful of channels. The room and the rest of the hotel was very clean though. There was a fridge with a few items in a mini bar and a huge wardrobe for hanging stuff but no safe in my room. The bathroom was tiny and looked dated and tired. There was plenty of hot water and also clean towels. Breakfast was very poor. A small buffet with no fresh fruit and no eggs on one day. No milk for cereal one day either and juices were highly processed. Service non existent. There was free wifi in the hotel which did work at all times. As for the bar - forget it. It was closed hen we we're there and the staff had no intention of serving you. You could sit in reception where the staff blared out pop music videos on their huge tv but nowhere else to go to relax if you wanted to.

Stayed here for 3 nights with a friend in September 2019. The hotel is easy to find as it’s right in the centre of Chisinau by cathedral park. It’s also directly opposite the Radisson Blu. We got a Yandex from the airport which cost about 150 lei. It was late but we were checked in quickly and efficiently by the night receptionist who was very welcoming. Our room was on the 11th floor. The hotel is set out with reception on the ground floor. Conference rooms above this. The gym, restaurant and breakfast room are on floor five, then rooms start on floors 8-11. There are floors 12-13 on the lift but I guess these are private residences. The lift was quick and we found our room which was more like a suite. We had two large twin beds which looked out over a panoramic view of Chisinau. The room was tastefully decorated with quite a bit of furniture; we had two chairs and a small coffee table, two bedside cabinets, a tv stand and small flat screen tv with cable box (we couldn’t get the box to work but it didn’t matter) a desk lamp and desk with chair, as well as a floor lamp. There was a well stocked mini bar, plus a wardrobe with iron and ironing board and a safe. The room was spotlessly clean as was the bed linen. We didn’t hear noise from any other rooms and the air con was good, although we did also open the window a couple of times too. The issues for us was the plug sockets - the nearest one that I could use to charge was by the bathroom. The bathroom was large with a full sized bath and shower over this. There was plenty of hot water and great water pressure. They provided some toiletries too. The shower had a shower curtain which wasn’t ideal but was okay. They also provided dressing gowns and slippers too. Breakfast was back on the fifth floor. The buffet had a good selection of fruits, salads, hot food (bacon, sausage, fried and scrambled eggs), sweet things and juices plus tea and coffee. We also had an evening meal when we arrived in Lud’s Pub - this is also on the fifth floor and does an array of different meals. We had some chicken nuggets to share as a starter, then I had steak and my friend had duck. Both were really good if a little pricey but then it’s a hotel restaurant. The drinks were also good and the service from the staff there was exceptional. The WiFi in the hotel was a bit temperamental - the range meant it sometimes cut out a bit and it sometimes was a little slow especially when we were in our rooms. Down in the communal areas, it was much faster. The reception staff were great. Location-wise, the hotel is an ideal base from which to explore Chisinau. We also went out for drinks on Friday and Saturday night and felt safe walking back to the hotel in the early hours. Overall, I enjoyed my stay at this hotel and so did my friend. It’s good value for a great location.

A very central hotel in Chisinau, the capital of Moldova. Excellent service, marwellous breakfast and lunch and dinner and I enjoyed it very much. It was somewhat puzzling understanding how to put on the lights in the room. You are supposed to put your card key into the box on the well. Put it straight in and then push the buttons inside the room so you get light. There was so much to do during the conference of Olof Palme International Center, Stockholm, Sweden, so four days conference went by like lightning.

Our family stayed at the Bernardazzi Grande when we went to Moldova for our sons wedding. Will definitely stay there when we go back to visit. Very nice accommodations, super friendly staff, and enjoyed the free breakfast. Very walkable location. And I love when hotels provide comfy bathrobes!

We spent here more days last week for a celebration. The visit was a pleasant surprise for me: a modern location and obvious efforts for keeping high standards. But...the neverending problem = the lack of staff. Here, for example, there is insufficient upkeep/maintenance team: impaired lock doors, a safety box closed [which they did not fix, despite our demand.], malfunction of HVAC device. In particular, the trouble with car parking: there is one much too small (only ab. 10 places) for a such large hotel (ab. 150 rooms). On the other hand - suitable trumps: large and comfortable rooms (as a superior category ones); good and various food for breakfast; young and kind desk staff, eager to learn and improve education. And I may their permission for a suggestion: get and keep the trend for environment-friendly servicing = it's not necessary to replace towels or glasses every day!...

Check in cold, abrupt and unfriendly, (check out much better). Public areas really nice as was our huge room, both definitely 5 star. Bar/restaurant hardly a bar, just a restaurant it seemed from the formal layout inside, why no seats at the bar? Nice outside with views but chilly this time of year, staff nice. Some outside areas a bit tatty, as seen from the room and know it's out of season but even so. But nice location in an impressive, upcoming city with great beer and wine. Would stay again.
