Although I couldn’t imagine a terrible-review-scenario until recently, Hotel Theatrino unfortunately showed me it’s possible. Anything nice that could be said about the hotel was unfortunately completely derailed after finding out about a bed-bug infestation. After 2 nights of stay we discovered insect bites on our legs and arms, and after deciding to flip not just the matress, but the entire bed (which I honestly never thought of doing after coming to a hotel, we found dozens of those creepy-crawlers swarming inside the bed frames and around the bed springs, in all life stages, so the infestation has been there for a long time. And not only should something like this never go unnoticed, especially in a 4-star hotel, but this even happened after months of hotels being closed down during the COVID-19 lockdown period, which should give the staff more than enough time to make everything absolutely spotless and perfectly ready for reopening. And as a cherry on top, after contacting the receptionist of the hotel (which btw was very helpful and understanding) about the situation and after requesting to talk to the management, the manager gave us the message via said receptionist, that they are willing to knock off the price for only the last night. So after demanding to speak to him for a third time, once again we got contacted by the receptionist that our stay will be reimbursed. Manager still refusing to talk to us or contact us and hiding behind his staff like a coward. And because the management refused to get in touch with us, we shall be informing local health department authorities about the situation to insure that the infestation will be actually dealt with, and not just ignored by the management like we were.

Staying here in Prague was the right choice for us. This quaint hotel just on the edge of Prague was perfect for what we needed. We were upgraded to the Jr. Suite that was situated on the top floor overlooking the streets of Prague. One thing I must mention in this review is the shower/tub. If you are looking to stand up, I would & out. Be careful. There are 2 tram stops btwn the hotel, a grocery store across the street, plenty of restaurants & 1 of them has local Czech Republic cuisine, great prices too. We had the best weather & the entire trip was easy going. We were never rushed or late for anything. Transportation was very easy to move about. Watching "YouTube" instructions before we left on transportation was helpful. We bought a 3-day ticket when we arrived at the Airport & that made everything easy with getting around the city. The Metro is so easy too, as are the trams. Everyone we encountered spoke English making the experience much nicer. Learning & understanding their history was a plus. Read up on the country's history before you come, it will make you appreciate their culture& way of life. We took in the Natl Museum & we took the Hop on Hop off bus to give us a good feel of our surroundings. Great place for pics. We highly recommend this Hotel for all your needs, breakfast included & had many food choices. They even packed us up a breakfast to go when we needed to leave earlier then breakfast time for our trip back home.

I've stayed in better and in worse hotels, so I know a bit what standards are. For a hotel that promotes itself as Premium 4-stars (on their signs), Olsanka unfortunately falls short. Let's mention the small stuff first. 1. Room interior is not finished, there is is a huge slab of drywall uncovered as we walked into the room. There is blobs of plaster on the ceiling just covered with paint. 2. Walls are so thin, we could hear conversations and other activities in the other room (3-5am..) 3. Info-tv is out of date 4. Reception number should be the first fast-dial on the phone.. 5. Cleaning staff just brings new towels daily, hasn't changed bedsheets going on day4. Also hasn't managed to bring new tea/coffee refill packs or even clean the cups. 6. Door hinges in all the rooms need to be oiled badly!!! 7. Shower corner is so small (80cm) compared to the entire bathroom, could have easily fit 1m shower corner with room to spare). Bathroom floor is cold. Shower head is barely staying up, is dirty and broken. Shower door is missing a screw. 8. Breakfast was a sad attempt as well, as they advertise it as Premium.. Cutlery looks cheap, from like 30 years ago, soviet relics. 5-min eggs were inconsistent, one day they were runny as hell, the other day hard-boiled. Didn't even dare to touch the "boiled" eggs.. Basic scrambled eggs was missing!!! Salt-shaker filled with salt granules larger then the holes of the shaker! Vegetable selection consisted of roughly chopped tomatoes/cucumber/paprika, "salad" bar was mainly mayo covered dishes. 9. Late-night receptionist is only there to take notes, unable to help with a basic question of "Can we get a pack of tea since the cleaning lady didn't bring any". 10. Ceiling panels in the halls are gray, dusty and grimy, leaves a dark feeling to the place as a whole 11. Vending machine is over-priced and selection is terrible 13. Pillows are filled with something what makes your feel uncomfortable while sleeping. 14. Mattresses are too soft, we sunk right in. Overall a lot of cut corners that would make a huge impact on a Premium feeling. Just so that not everything is negative, here are some positive notes to work on: 1. Room temp was adequate for December, didn't freeze or sweat 2. Breakfast croissants were fresh and tasty 3. Our room interior lighting scheme was very nice, impressed me from the first moment.

We stayed here (two adults, two kids) for two nights with a large group of families as my son was playing in a U12s football tournament in a nearby town. I really can't fault this hotel and would happily stay there again. Luxury it certainly isn't, but it's only a 30m walk (or short tram trip if you're lazy) to the centre of Prague old town and has plenty of restaurants, bars and parks very close by. The desk is staffed 24hrs by friendly staff and breakfast, 7.00-10.00am, is varied and plentiful. What's not to like? However if you want to spend time in your room this is probably not the place for you, not least as there's no TVs!

Fabulous, buffet style, continental breakfast. Clean, spacious and comfortable room with complimentary toiletries. Room serviced to a high standard daily. Welcoming, helpful and informative staff, this is a superb, recently refurbished hotel in a great location, a 20 - 25 minute walk or a 5 -10 minute (24 czk) tram ride to the centre. The Hotel is situated in Zizkov near to plenty of reasonably priced places to eat and drink thus avoiding the tourist trap, inflated prices of the centre. Enquired about tea and coffee making facilities in the room on booking and they were there on arrival, I don't think this is the norm in Eastern Europe so we were very grateful and also very pleased with the lovely touch of a complimentary bottle of wine - thank you. Only one, very minor, negative - no curtains/blinds in our room which was fine as we were on the top floor but the morning light could disturb the sleep of some especially in the summer.

Absolutely beautiful city. So much history. Friendly people and very affordable. I took the 6 hour bus, walk and boat guided tour for about $50 which included lunch and coffee and cake towards the end of the tour. I was so impressed that I will go out of my way to visit there again next time. I stayed at a very small family run hotel that was only about a 20 minute ride by subway to the city center.

We arrived at the apartments to a warm welcome from the receptionist and where shown to our room we had a twin room, double room, bathroom with shower and washing machine a separate room with toilet then a kitchen dining room with fridge freezer microwave and hob. We would have liked a toaster but we managed to overcome this issue. Both bedrooms had large tvs and ample storage space and armchairs. There is a tesco metro in the next street and several restaurants in the area with one we found to be very good just up the street from the apartment called Mona Mia. The old town is only a short tram ride away and can be accessed by a short walk up a street from the square thats found at the bottom of the street from the apartment We found the room to be well equipped and generally very clean and I did move an armchair in the bedroom and find that it had not been cleaned behind as there was tufts of dust on the floor Would definitely return to these apartments if in prague in the future

What a lovely hotel to match a lovely holiday! Staff were so helpful, it took us around about 15 minutes to walk the city centre (The scooters are a good cheaper way to get back and forth, me and my boyfriend couldnt stop laughing using them) room was massive and clean, tv was abit old fashioned with hardly any channels, but other than that the hotel was perfect, cant wait to come back to prague and use this hotel again! thankyou three crowns! x

The service was great Gregory welcomed us with a smile, he was very polite showings us the surroundings. There is a private parking but the entrance is a bit too narrow for larger cars, like SUVs. Everything else was great, we had cleaning service daily, new towels new toiletries. Old town is 20 min walk, you have supermakets and restaurants around Zizkov neighbourhood.

We stopped here using a deal from Groupon. We weren’t looking for a place we wouldn’t want to leave but wanted somewhere to sleep and shower. That’s what we got with a half decent breakfast thrown in. The hotel is a reasonable 3* in my opinion our room on the top floor was large and light with very little noise disturbance. The staff on the whole were good though the receptionist was a bit moody on check in and a couple of other times. They did make a mistake, letting us into our room which hadn’t been serviced from the previous guests. We let the receptionist know and it was sorted by the time we returned from a visit to the old town. On the whole we were pleased with the standard of the hotel for the price that we paid

Nové Město
We just got back from our 7-day trip to Prague and we had the best hotel experience staying at Park Inn Hotel. The whole staff was very kind and available for any request 24/7. Our room was gorgeous, extremely spacious and cozy, with two walls covered in large windows that faced the Moldava River and the streets of Prague. The bathroom had both a shower and a bathtub, which was very comfortable since I prefer long hot baths and my boyfriend takes quick showers. Moreover we had three different Dove hand-body wash/shampoo dispensers that were free to use. The cleaning service works everyday, but I noticed a few problems, like some dirt on the carpet in a corner behind the entrance door and two or three rose petals under our bed on our very first day (maybe because it was February 15th and we checked-in earlier than we were supposed to, so the cleaning lady didn't have enough time to and they also offer laundry service. There's a restaurant on the ground floor where we had breakfast everyday, and it serves a vast range of dishes and beverages (eggs, bacon, sausages, baked beans, cheese, potato pancakes, butter, bread, pastries, jams, cereal, milk, smoothies, all kinds of coffee and tea and so much more). The restaurant is also open for lunch and dinner, but the prices are a lot higher than in a local restaurant in the city, so we didn't try it. The hotel is 4 minutes away from two different tram stops (Vytón [where there's also a ticket machine with a card reader in case you don't have any change] and Albertov) and just 300mt away from a tiny supermarket named Tesco for any groceries necessity.

Myself and my husband stayed here for three nights as part of BA package. The hotel was only a short transfer from the hotel and is right next to Metro and Tram transport links. The hotel is very modern, clean, and quiet - at times we felt like we were the only people staying there! The reception staff were always very polite. We were able to get into our room as soon as we arrived and they were able to always help us - we bought transport tickets from them at reception, changed money from notes to coins and also used the luggage storage service upon checking out. The only slight disappointment is that there were a range of items provided in the fridge in the room (water, beer, pepsi and cholocate) and we were only aware that these were chargeable upon checkout when we were billed for them! We have stayed in many hotels around the world were obviously items in the mini bar are chargable, however this has always been made clear on a sign in the room, but we have also stayed in hotels were the items are complimentary. Also don't forget you will get billed a nightly tax at the end of your stay. We did however have a lovely stay at the Diplomat and nothing was too much trouble. We would return here if ever returning to Prague.

My husband booked this as a surprise 18th Wedding Anniversary get away. The hotel is beautiful. Comfortable and immaculately clean. A stone's throw from the metro which was so easy to navigate. We went all over. The Architecture is just stunning. We were lucky with the weather....not too cold, but all courtyard bars have blankets to snuggle under with heaters. Be prepared to walk alot if sightseeing is your thing. And no high heels. All the streets and roads are cobbled. Food and drink are so cheap and the beer is crazy cheap. We lived our time away. The breakfast was a huge selection. And although there isn't tea or coffee making in the rooms, it's available all around the hotel complimentary. We loved the little linen bag you hang out every day for a little surprise. Easy check in and out. Definately recommend.

Witt Kopf
This hotel is located on the edge of Prague's Old Town. It takes 20 minutes to walk to Prague Square, which is a long way. Uber is recommended (Uber in Czech is very convenient and cheap). The hotel facilities are a bit old and had to be renovated about 5-8 years ago. The lobby downstairs is very bright, the afternoon tea in the lobby bar is delicious, and there is a small casino on the ground floor (Prague has many such small casinos, this is considered regular). There is a small shopping mall downstairs and a supermarket inside (not 24 hours, it closes at about 20:00)

I am a frequent traveler to the Czech Republic, so I am frequently coming and going through Prague. I have stayed at many hotels in Prague ... and The Emblem is absolutely the best. I stay nowhere else now. #1 ... is the SERVICE. Absolutely stellar staff ... Erika, Teresa, et. al. have gone over the top many times to make my visit the best. #2 ... LOCATION. Right near Old Town Square ... near Charles Bridge ... near the trams. Perfect location. #3 ... SPA ... massage ... fitness .... #4 ... FOOD ... the attached Michelin-star'd dining restaraunt is spectacular. I recommend The Emblem ...without reservation. It is the best.

Thanks to BA cancelling my flight, i ended up with a night here at the Grandior. Centrally located for the Metro, trams and only a one stop metro ride from the Main railway station. I have stayed in Na Porici before and there are loads of good bars & restaurants close by. The hotel public areas and rooms are immaculate. Service was some of the best that i have had in the Czech republic, that can sometimes be a little surly at other locations. At breakfast time, guests are asked to wear masks to the buffet breakfast, however once at the table these can obviously be removed. On the subject of the breakfast it was more than adequate. If i was a little picky, i would like to see the selection of cold meat and fresh fruit expanded. The only pain for me at the hotel was that the lifts are operated by the room cards and these could be a little temperamental. Thought being so close to the road would be noisy but shouldn't have worried. Would definitely stay here again.
