We were going to Mayo Clinic for an annual visit but wary of staying at a hotel due to Covid. Usually we stay at another HIE but this location was new and had excellent reviews. I found a great deal on the HI website and booked it . The location is a bit away from the main road and they share a parking lot with a building supply store. Inside, the hotel takes cleanliness and safety very seriously. There is limited interaction at check-in and goes smoothly and efficiently. Rooms are not made up for the length of stay to make sure no one enters the room. If you need anything, such as extra or clean towels,it can be taken care of at the front desk. The room has been stripped down a bit to limit surfaces. The King room was huge. The bathroom was spotless and had refillable amenities rather than individual soaps, etc. The thermostat was wall mounted and kept the room a perfect temperature. Entry to the room was by a chip reader. The TV was a bit delayed in response to the remote and wanky so I wasn't sure why but think it had to do with the Wi-Fi. Not a big deal. The staff was friendly and greeted us as we went in and out. Breakfast was handled by requesting the attendant get what you needed from the kitchen. You kind of had to lean in to look about and the items seemed more sp****s than usual. I understand this was all a safety measure but it was a bit off-putting; we do what we have to in order to be safe. The attendant was very accomodating and helpful. We did not see many people partaking in the free breakfast. My one concern was not with the hotel really, but I saw guests outside not wearing masks and I observed a few walking through the lobby without masks; inconsiderate on their part and I would suggest the hotel make a stronger statement to guests entering rather than posting signage that masks are required. A good value and a safe environment, we would definitely go back to this location if and when we need to return to the area. Overall, HIE again hits the mark and proves to be one of the top in their class of hotel. Many other chains could learn a thing or two from them.

Parking here is free and I am a huge fan of hotels who do not try to make profit of every inch of its square space. so I was happy that the parking was free here. The place had very friendly staff and the lobby was super cute. They had a bar as well as they have breakfast every morning, I am just not sure of how much the breakfast is. The grounds are breathtaking, the view at the backyard staring to the Gulf of Mexico is amazing, theres plenty of siting back there and even a fire pit to just sit there drink some wine and enjoy the view. I didn't see the gym none the less I liked the other parts of the hotel. The room is also some amazing thing They have it nicely set up as a little office space and bedroom with a mini living area, it was well decorated and well planed, the space was very nicely used for sure. I am super impressed with the hotel.

The rooms are always clean and the stay bus always exactly what is needed! Especially during this pandemic time, the hotel was spotless and all regulations were being followed by staff and guests which was wonderful to see. Hotel staff was not very friendly at check-in. Considering I’m diamond I usually get a water or snack on arrival. I got nothing . I wasn’t told anything about the new rules since the pandemic. I was charged $75 for the dog for 1 night. Our room seemed clean at first glance . We moved the footstool and found toe nail clippings under it. Yuck! The shower had mold in it. The next morning after rinsing our dishes and placing them in the dishwasher - I found other dishes sitting inside. Breakfast consists of a brown bag with juice, muffin, granola - breakfast sandwiches are available but not heated. You have to take them back to your room to heat in microwave. When I asked for coffee I was told that it was in the rooms. None available in lobby. We had - 1 cup upon arrival the night before in our room and 1 cup that morning. The desk clerk did give me a few pods along with creamer so I could go make my own in the room. My daughter stayed at a Home 2 Suites the week before in Ormond Beach and no additional pet fee was added - they had a hot breakfast of their choosing including waffles and toast. I don’t feel this hotel was up to the Hilton standards. It cost us over $200 for 1 night and wasn’t that great.

I want to preface this review by saying I’m a hospitality management professional. I am not just a typical hotel guest. I will begin with the good. The room itself seemed in good repair. The front desk staff was friendly. The location can’t be beat. I noticed things like door guards to protect dings which told me that ownership takes their property seriously. Now the bad... First of all, there seemed to be a layer of grime on everything outside. If you have exterior corridors your maintenance should be doing preventative maintenance like pressure washing stairs and breezeways. The cobwebs collected dirt and leaves and it just felt dirty. Based on the plants and things in the windows of some rooms it is evident that people call the hotel home. This is something that doesn’t particularly bother me, but when those residents leave their door open and smoke in hallways and feel the necessity to not just speak but holler at everybody they become a bit of an annoyance. Staff can’t police the residents behavior, but with multiple buildings you could put all long term guests in one building to limit exposure. My neighbor was annoying and loud and it was very obvious he lived there. My first impression was hearing the management banging loudly and yelling “you’re gonna have to come out of there!” And I assume it was an eviction of sorts but it was excessive and it left a bad feeling. This is for ESA in general, your software that your staff uses is clearly buggy. Every one of these desks I have checked into have had issues. The clerks are all clearly struggling to perform what should be basic seamless tasks. So you guys need to tighten up too. I don’t like to leave bad numbers because I know it can effect things so I am giving the property 5 stars. In all honesty you guys earned about 3.5.

As a team, we stay in a lot of different hotels for a lot of different tourneys in a lot of different cities. Many of the families have additional siblings and travel all over with them as well. Hotels are pretty much just a part of our life, and as such, no one makes any comments one way or the other. Weekends like this past weekend are an exception. Nearly every family made a point to tell me how wonderful the Sheraton accommodations were -- not just once, but several times. As a team, we couldn't have been more pleased with our weekend accommodations. The rooms were updated, clean, and exceptionally comfortable. The showers were large and had great water pressure. The suites accommodated those who had slightly bigger families with ease. The covid precautions were evident and appreciated. The value for the cost blew everyone away. Thank you for taking the time to work with us and make sure our weekend was a good one. Added bonus: we won the tournament! :) The hotel would have still been awesome if that wasn't the case, but as a total package, the weekend couldn't have been much better.

We have stayed at this facility several times. Unfortunately, we had to stay here during the COV-19 crisis. On arrival we were greeted by a Chuck at the front desk. (I think he’s been at the hotel as long as it’s been open 😃) Chuck’s greeting was very warm and very professional, as usual. The check in process was very efficient and he explained all the details of the hotel during the crisis. He explained how the hotel was cleaning the rooms. He further explained they were only booking rooms that had been vacated for three days. A very warm professional team member.! The room was very clean and “smelled” good. The Bistro was serving breakfast from 0700-1000 am and 5:00-8:00 pm, otherwise they were closed. They only offered room service or takeout. We ordered our dinner and breakfast and enjoyed them on our “lanai”. The wait staff was very friendly and warm. The food was excellent! We obviously didn’t like being at the hotel during the crisis, However, the warm and extremely friendly staff made our visit very comfortable.

I stayed because of the TA reviews and I am glad I did. It was clean, comfortable and Kim the night auditor was fantastic. She helped out my dad who dropped his keys in the chair where he was sitting while I was checking us in. The next morning she saw him getting coffee at the coffee bar and she returned it to him. I am sure we would have been looking for them for hours but she made sure that didn’t happen. The girl at check out was friendly and that’s what you need when you are just getting ready to get on the road. Dan F.

The room appeared renovated; although not quite thought through. The sort of desk space directly faces the TV. While there are variety of intriguing lighting fixtures, there just isnt enough lighting in the room. Loved the big and clean windows! Front desk and lobby are a construction disaster area. Yes, rooms may look OK, but lobby and reception area is part of the stay’s experience and it was not good. I asked if 2 guests with primary guest being platinum can utilize breakfast benefit but consume breakfast at different times. The answer was no and I was offered a worthless 750 points to waive breakfast vouchers alltogether....Nice hospitality twist here... The concierge lounge supposedly exists somewhere, but I wasnt even told where it is, and there is no service on the weekend. Considering hotel’s unattractive state, it may be beneficial to at least try to treat your guests a little better? If the status entitles a guest to a certain benefit, it may not be a bad idea to provide a better “sorry” if the benefit is not available or you are actually unwilling to offer it? I definitely will not return after such a lovely unwelcoming (and very typical of Jacksonville) welcome. Last, but not least, elevators are annoyingly slow.

My 90-year-old mother and I received care that was above and beyond any and all expectations in a very difficult season of our lives -- the COVID 19 Pandemic. From the moment we received our welcome by Laney, the general manager, she and her staff did everything they could to make our lengthy stay with them -- we were there about 5 weeks altogether -- pleasurable and met all our needs, often asking if there was anything more they could do for us. They made us feel safe, cared for and almost like family. All the facilities were in exceptionally excellent condition and the service that was provided to us was always prompt, courteous and even kind. We grew to love each and every person on that staff, each of whom always served us graciously, even in a season when all people were under duress. We will never forget the great gift this was to us as we waited for a safe time for us to return to New York, where the pandemic was strong. Thank you to everyone. Words cannot adequately express our gratitude! Thank you, Laney and team! We love you and we will be back!

I selected this property ahead of time as we needed to spend one night in Jacksonville for a seminar. While the $99 price tag was lower than some properties within 10 miles of the Jacksonville Ice and Sports Complex, this is not a $100 hotel. There were lower priced and higher priced properties with terrible reviews, so this one felt like one to take a chance on. The hotel itself was clean and bright with interior halls. The staff, both at check in and checkout was very friendly, helpful and polite. The room was clean and comfortable. However, this place didn’t feel any different than many of the Quality Inns we’ve stayed at that were under $70. The property is in an area that feels borderline unsafe. Yes, there are several restaurants within walking distance, but I wouldn’t walk to them after dark. The property description states restaurants and shopping within walking distance but we didn’t see any place to shop. Walls are thin and we heard our neighbors all evening. Had to call the front desk and complain. Breakfast was the standard free Choice array. Microwaved eggs and lots of carb heavy options. Choice hotels like to sneak in a $1 or $2 safe charge on your bill. If you do not use the safe and say something at checkout they will credit you back. This is a sneaky corporate policy that is not the property’s fault. In summary, nothing wrong with the hotel at all, it’s the location and price that felt wrong.

We stayed at this hotel the week of Thanksgiving 2019. It was my birthday and wedding anniversary. We was suppose to stay at a rental property but the owner never contacted us back so that really screwed up our vacation. However, upon arrival Toni at the front desk took such good care of us and we had a very nice suite room. She made sure we was taken care of. Our room was very clean and the lady making breakfast during the week was so kind and the breakfast was very good. That was our second time staying there and will definitely stay again, Thank you Toni you Rock!!!! Also the location was safe and great places to shop and eat.

The hotel desk staff was excellent but this covered many failures over a three day period. The Fitness Center machines were dirty, TV's inoperative and the cleaning rag dispenser was bone dry demonstrating a lack of cleanliness. The rooms have paper thin walls and I was awaken all three nights with neighbor noise. OK but annoying at 0330. The room had dents and was dirty. Broken tiles on the floors and in the elevators and just overall dated and damage to wood furnishing everywhere. With the COVIT 19 starting to be an issue I was shocked at the lack of cleanliness. I swabbed my phone, flat surfaces, switches and door knobs and came up dark brown with dirt, Edges of bathrooms tiles had dust fur as did the light switches. One day they forgot to empty the trash, 2 days no soap or shampoo left, 1 day no coffee left, 1 day no coffee cups. The Front desk always supported replacements but you shouldn't have to ask everyday for service items. Breakfast was excellent but the floor area was sticky underfoot. Internet was excellent and easy assess to the airport BUT... Not up to Marriott standards

After a long tiring flight, drive from airport to hotel, met with unfriendly," I could care less, please move on" attitude on part of young desk clerk. My first experience at Aloft and will be my last. No offer to explain their property and/or services or amenities, no directions to the elevator ( near the check in desk which I should have noticed but didn't). I literally walked across the lobby and down the hall on the other end trying to find elevator. When I asked about food, she was annoyed and informed me I could go outside and walk around and find restaurants close by. It was after 8:00pm and being older female and tired, that wasn't an option. I'm also healing from a broken foot. I did learn they have "bites" that can be delivered to your room and chose that. The guy that delivered it was wonderful as was the young chef the next morning. Very kind and very good customer service. The desk clerk literally wasn't going to let me check in due to confusion about the credit card left on file to pay for room. It was a work trip and not my card. She said it was just to hold the reservation not pay for the room, but that wasn't accurate Mistakes happen....not upset about the confusion at all. She just could have been kind, caring, apologetic and offered to call her manager. I gave my personal credit card to check in until the confusion could be cleared up. The commercial Marriott has where the desk clerk drives to pick up costumer who broke down in the rain, desk clerk learns sign language to assist future customer is a wonderful ad. Obviously not reality but do get kindness most of the time. To be fair, I wasn't in a good mood when she told me I couldn't check in using the card on file. I was tired and hungry and hoping to get to the room as soon as I could. All it takes is a smile, kind word and "I'm sorry for the confusion" to calm a disgruntled customer. This girl had apparently had a bad day long before I showed up. She couldn't muster that.

The bedding was just as good as the intercontinental that I stayed at earlier in the week. The rooms are being redone. I must have gotten one of the remodeled ones because it was nice. There is a fridge in the room and a microwave. Usually hotels I stay at don’t have those and I liked the convince of having them. Daily breakfast is provided. The only thing I would suggest is cooking the sausage longer. I would recommend this hotel and will stay again for sure.
