What a wonderful, authentic Italian experience! Sure, you can choose to stay in a posh modern apartment that could be anywhere in the world—or, you can book here and live like a true local in a wild & wonderful historic apartment. Plus, you'll have an incredibly helpful host in Francesco, who went well above & beyond to make sure I had everything I needed. I was delayed a day due to a missed train connection, and Francesco helped switch my reservation to the following night at the last minute, with no penalty. He greeted me and showed me around the space, which felt like walking into an Italian fairy tale. He upgraded me to a massive room with a huge balcony, which was eccentric and colorful and ornate, with tons of personality. The rooms are in an old building up a sweeping flight of marble stairs, and just a short walk from charming Bari Vecchia. I had every amenity at my disposal, including complimentary breakfast at the cafe downstairs (the typical B&B breakfast service was suspended due to Covid regulations). When I left, I hired Francesco (rather than a taxi, and at a much better rate) to drive me to the rental car office where I picked up a car. We had a fantastic chat on the drive over, and instead of simply leaving me at the door, he waited until my rental was sorted out. Then he loaded my luggage into the car and explained some of the operating tips to me, since it was the same make and model that he drives. He even waited to make sure that I got it started OK and was able to maneuver it out f the tight parking space before going on with his day. To me, a host's kindness is one of the most important parts of any stay—and you can't go wrong here!

The position is good, close to the central station. The hotel is in a very old building with lift. Check-in starts at 3pm, however they let us get the room in the morning because we didn't book it. The room is big, very old and noisy (there is a busy road the front). The bathroon like hospital (terrible) with smell of sewer. We've paid €50 to stay 4h30 only. I don't recommend this place!

Perfect location! Room and bathroom is quite small but as we visited Bari for seeing places and enjoying the food we did not need more space. Giovanna, the host, is a fantastic person. She gave us a lot of useful information about transport, places to visit, shopping or restaurants. My wife bought, based on Giovanna's recommendations, a very nice necklace and she loved it. The apartment has 3 rooms for renting and is located right on the main street, Via Sparano and is 200 m from the main Railway Station/Bus Station and 900 m from the old Town of Bari. From there (Train/Bus station) you can reach everything: Alberobello, Polignano, Monopoly, airport, beach, etc... The breakfast is delivered in your room and us excellent, one of the best breakfasts that I had in Italy, a country that is not famous for rich breakfasts. Overall, I really recommend this place.

Location was perfect. Pia was an awesome host. Welcomed us on check-in. Briefed on us on what to expect for breakfast, recommended sights, booked a car and driver for us and gave clear instructions for check out. The B&B was just across from the main train station and the subway to the airport. Downstairs are McDonalds and Burger King but there were many better local eating places. The room was spotless and toiletries were replenished everyday

I stayed here for just one night on a short stay in Bari. The hotel is in a great location. It is handy for arriving in the city as it is on the opposite side of a pleasant square from the central station and metro, and also the airport bus stop. The lovely old town is a 10 minute walk away, at the end of the main shopping street. The hotel is located on the 3rd floor of an apartment building, with no obvious signage, so is not easy to find so look for the McDonalds on the ground floor! In the lobby of the building, there is a lift to the 3rd floor and the hotel. Very friendly and helpful reception staff. All very covid-aware, I'm pleased to say. The room was spacious and very clean, and bed comfortable. It had tv, wifi, ac and a balcony. The bathroom was clean and modern. Breakfast was fine and served in the room. Very reasonably priced. If I return to Bari, which would be nice, I would stay here again. Recommended.

We stayed in Bari 102 for one night in mid-November 2019. We enjoyed Bari more than expected & wished we had planned for a longer stay at this beautiful B&B. The family running 102 is so genuinely warm & wonderful. Agata & husband Nicola’ speak some English, but their son Marco is fluent (as too is their daughter, who was not in Bari when we were there). The B&B is situated perfectly: a pleasant 5-minute walk north from the central train station, & then from the B&B another pleasant 5-minute walk north to the southern edge of the Old Town. The FAL station where you catch the train to Matera is on the same piazza as Bari Centrale. Our room & bathroom were large, modern, bright, spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated & super comfortable. We even had a small balcony overlooking Via Andrea da Bari (the quiet street below). Breakfast at 102 was a spectacular assortment of meats, cheeses, fresh fruit, juice, pastries, …everything was perfect, including the coffee. Agata recommended a few places for dinner (we chose Tiella - - a 5 minute walk east - - which we loved). At 102, we felt like we were paying a visit to close friends or family. Although we were in Bari for just 27 hours, our visit was very memorable (a stroll along the Lungomare, Basillica San Niccola’, Bari Castle, Piazza Mercantile, …) and we can’t wait to return for a longer stay, using Bari as a base for the region. We generally prefer hotels to B&B’s, but 102 is a gem & we wouldn't think of staying anywhere else when we return. Grazie mille Agata, Nico e Marco. Speriamo di vedervi presto!

Located on the top floor(there is an elevator but you have to walk up another flight of stairs) of a building, this small B&B offers wonderful personal service and a delightful rooftop terrace. It is an easy 10 min walk from the train station and 20-30 min walk to the historic old town. Our room was spacious, modern and immaculate with a superbly comfortable bed and pillows.. Our friendly hostess, Samanta was amazing and gave us a wealth of information about touring and restaurants. Loved La Cecchina restaurant and recommend highly. The breakafst buffet was varied and you could order eggs any style. We recommend highly and would certainly stay here again if in Bari.

We loved staying at Zodiacus. It's halfway between the train station and the old town, so it's an ideal base when staying in Bari. We would eat dinner at 9 or 10 in old town and then walk back to the hotel... very easy, very pleasant. There are small cafes and bars all around the area... you won't see them on a Sunday afternoon, but the cafes will appear on Monday morning, and the bars on Monday evening. Yet the neighborhood still feels quiet and residential. It's a perfect blend. One evening we arrived back at the hotel around 11pm and Vito was standing outside, waiting for a guest to arrive... the train had been delayed, and he stuck around so he could check them in. That's some impressive service! Would definitely stay here again.

Ideally located just 5 minutes from Bari Central Railway Station and just 10 minutes walk to the old town. Rooms are on the second floor with lift access, although there are a few steps up to the lift. Our room was large, clean, modern and airy with a balcony on to Melo street. This is a small hotel of just 6 bed rooms and a communial room – breakfast room/reception room. We did not book the breakfast that I understand most people take to their rooms which was very basic, but were able to use the communial coffee and tea facilities. Its easy to buy breakfast out or buy supplies in – there is a supermarket 50 meters down the road. Our room was cleaned every other day. Check in and check out was efficient having been confirmed by email in advance. We were met on arrival by our English speaking host who provided information about the hotel and tourist information. This hotel was excellent for our stay.

Our first impressions of this b and b were good. Shabby chic decor, both a kettle and coffee machine, fridge and bottle of water every day. location was handy for town. Having the rubbish skips outside not very pretty especially when they collect the rubbish late at night. Our first night was a nightmare due to noise from the drainage or plumbing system. Its an old block with many apartments and I think the drainage for the whole block could be heard from our room.At first we thought it was the person next door having a shower and banging the wooden sliding door. But this continued in a cycle all night long. I dozed off at 3 am nearly in tears. As no staff on the premises there was nobody to complain to till the morning. Francesca who was on duty was apologetic and said she would report the problem and one look at the black rings round our eyes would have shown we were telling the truth. I realized after that her apparent surprise as the noise was probably an act. When we returned i checked further back in reviews and noted that some people had experienced the same problem. I think that people in that particular room were very unfortunate as we had paid almost 90 euros a night not to sleep!!this explains the high grading that the b and b gets. If we had been able to sleep which is the minimum i expect in any accommodation i would have rated it as good.!!during our stay the noise continued and nothing was done to explain the situation or offer a remedy. We contacted our booking agent too when we returned but not one word of apology from the hotel or explanation. We had had to pay all the fee up front which was perhaps an indication that all was not well. Our trip to this beautiful part of Italy with so many interesting sites nearby was ruined as we were so tired to enjoy. Certainly the worst place we have ever stayed. We are not compulsive complainers who moan about everything, this is the first time we have ever complained about our accommodation. Within this last 2 years we have stayed in a wide range of hotels in Porto, Seville, Krakow, Bratislava, Turin and have been satisfied with our hotels. I booked Gatto Bianco the same way but reading reviews but I now realize you need to go much further back in the reviews to find the faults not just the most recent.!!When you give your review becareful as the way the questions are worded you can be unaware that you are giving them a high score, things like breakfast, room, cleanliness may have a high score but you are never asked basics like could you sleep due to noise!!!

We spent 3 weeks at Mammadada. We felt like at home. This place is elegant, clean, well-furnished, and perfectly managed and organized. We traveled with a baby, and our host, Antonella, made sure we had everything we needed for her. We rarely used the car because Mammadada is conveniently located close by places of touristic interests, shops, and restaurants. We'll definitely use it again. Highly recommended.

This was my first visit to Bari Italia. Stefan, owner of Bari Centrale hostel was superb. He was just finishing renovations. He put me up across the street at Dolci Emozion run by Antonia. I was given a large room with a large bathroom certainly more than I paid for at Bari Centrale. Thank you Stefan. I did visit Bari Centrale and really liked what I saw. I recommended it to a friend of mine from Australia and she loved staying there. Excellent location too!

The property is located on a reasonably quiet suburban street about 10 minutes walk from the centre of town .We were greeted by Elizabetta , who is a delightful host and speaks very good English . The property has secure off street car parking whi ch has a narrow entrance which is ok for a normal car but not say a large SUV . Our deluxe room was very comfortable and included a wonderful terrace that would happily seat 6 . The bed was very comfortable and the whole property was sparkling clean . Very good shower and we had a jaccuzi bath as well !! Break fast was excellent and for such a small property with maybe only 4 or so rooms offered a very wide choice . Beautifully presented by Elizabetta . It was a wonderful way to start our tour of Puglia .

Stayed twice. Last week of June 2019. Our hosts, Alessandro & Angelica, were wonderful. The house is very clean, and on both occasions our rooms were SPACIOUS and SPOTLESS. You get a private bathroom. Oh, and for traveling a partner, bathrooms have "his" and "her" vanity. It's in quiet neighborhood and a brief 10 minute walk (less if you walk fast) to the sea (Adriatic). We walked down to the beach and spent some time looking for interesting rocks. You can swim in the crystal blue (literally) water, but there are no life guards. Neighborhood kids were swimming. Our hosts gave us a brief tour of the community, took us to a family deli (italian meats to die for), and handled transfers; we flew in for a cruise. To wrap up....you won't find a more accommodating host than La Villa. Book them! Period.
