      I was in Abidjan on business. The presentation of this hotel attracted me. I then booked for 3 nights. When I arrive, a courteous driver greets me. After 15 minutes drive, we arrived at the hotel. When I pay for the trip, the driver reminds me that the hotel shuttle is free! I was welcomed by a clean and courteous receptionist, dressed in a beautiful African tunic. I was struck by the cleanliness and African style of this beautiful hotel. After the checkin formalities, I was taken to a standard room. what struck me was that the photos I had seen on traveler networks and on the hotel website are authentic and true to life. The bedroom, in addition to being fresh and comfortable, combines beautifully Africanity and modernity. the comfort of the bedding almost made me miss the business meeting I had in the morning. In the restaurant, a copious buffet is served, always in an African urban atmosphere !!! Ivorian dishes by the way European cuisine makes me lick my chops !!! finally, this three-star hotel has a very good value for money. more interesting still, the flexibility of room rates makes this little African paradise accessible to all budgets !!! I highly recommend :)

The peacocks wandering around are beautiful, the food was delicious, and the pool and staff are lovely. The owners of the hotel, Yohannes and his family were impeccable hosts to our group and I couldn't have asked for a better trip. I would recommend this hotel 1000% and can't wait to visit again!

      Sofitel Abidjan Hotel Ivoire

      On my first night at Sofitel in April 2022, between 1.30 am to 2.30 am someone tried severally within an hour to enter my room at night and my only luck was that I locked the door behind. I reported this incident to the hotel and it was quickly dismissed without any proper investigation. I was only told it was drunk client who lost his way and tried entering my room and that the guest has already checked out. This did not make sense to me because when I peeped through the pin hole of the door, the person I saw did not look drunk and looking for his room but was focused on gaining access to my room with a card but for the inside. With this doubt in my mind, I requested to look at the CCTV footage of the incident just to confirm the drunk story I was told but the hotel refused citing privacy breaches. They sent to my room food and a bottle of wine to apologize as if my safety can be equated to food or wine. I tried to talk to everyone possible including two managers (Mr. Morel Koffi and one other Lady Manager) but they all did not do anything about it. Anytime I asked to speak to the hotel manager, I was told he is not at post. I spent an awful lot of time of my busy schedule (about 3 hours in all) to try and engage the team and find a solution. They kept on playing games with me until I checked out after 6 nights. This is a hotel I use frequently (about 5 times a year) and my only reason was to be sure of my safety so the next time I return I will have the peace of mind to go about my business but Sofitel let me down big time and I have no other option than to leave this review.

Miss Rosine and Brigitte in bar and Mr Guy kouakou in reception ..,they are all perfect, helpful and patient with me despite i was extremely angry due to my tireness and long bad trip... I congratulate seeing then they are able to manage bad times.. Room so good, hotel in the heart of city, so near the best shopping centers.. they have free airport transfer too.       We checked into a suite (#1040). We were shocked at the poor maintenance of the suite. In the large living room, there are 4 ceiling lights. Only 1 of the 4 could be turned on. 2 bathroom lights needed to be replaced as they were very dim. After setting up all our belongs, we had to pack up and move to another suite with functioning lights. This ne suite still has its problems. The foot pedal on one floor lamp (suite 3055) does not function such that the lamp has to be unplugged to turn it off. I ordered room service dinner: cheeseburger with no lettuce and 2 scoops of chocolate icecream. After 1 hour and 3 phone calls, i received the cheeseburger with lettuce and no icecream. I couldn't get a diet soda. In this American brand hotel chain, barely anyone understans English.

      Excellent 3-star hotel, with an enticing value for money ratio. The hotel premises are situated in a highly strategic position, not far from the airport (current fare by taxi 3000 FCFA max.) and really close to the lively areas of Marcory/Zone 4C and Koumassi. Both the PRIMA and Cap Sud shopping centres are within walking distance. Rooms are clean, quiet and comfy, completely aligned with the usual Ibis standards. Very good A/C. Powerful free WiFi. Local and international TV chains available, also in English language. A well kept medium-size outdoor swimming pool is available (hotel guests only), as well as a restaurant and a 24/24, 7/7 bar. Staff are polite, friendly and ready to help whenever needed. Throughout our stay my family and I felt very safe thanks to the effective security measures in place. Covid-19 prevention and protection protocols fully applied. This hotel has definitely become the basis for our future stays in Abidjan!

      Basic hotel where the rooms are simple and refurbished a few year ago. The decor of the hallways and stairs is in need of attention but, hey, you don’t sleep there. The entrance is now tucked away down a tatty alley so take the photos of the Art Deco building with a pinch of salt. Simple breakfast was nothing special but ok. I didn’t fancy any of the hot offerings and there was no toaster but the croissants were good as was the coffee and juice. Free shuttle from the airport was an unexpected bonus. It works on a scheduled basis so won’t work for all (the return didn’t by the front desk was helpful in making sure I wasn’t ripped off with a taxi to Grand Bassam). WiFi fully functional and an ask for a higher fee than I had booked at on Booking.com was sorted with no complaint or hassle (or apology!).

      So, I visited ibis in July for 3 weeks with my husband for a short term getaway and was completely satisfied with the service they offered us. I recommend that everyone wanting to visit Abidjan comes to Ibis!! I was honestly so happy with my stay, the food, the layout of the rooms and the clean bedrooms. Upon arrival, I was very apprehensive as it was my stay in Africa, West Africa and didn’t know what to expect. This one employee in particular called Sabine Yebe made me feel less anxious upon arrival, talked to me throughout the day just to make sure I felt safe and informed me on the history of Ivory Coast, and also tourism favourite places. It’s so nice to have employees like Sabine Yebe to make people feel very safe and cared for. Thank you so much!

      Movenpick Abidjan opened it's doors late December 2020; maybe not the most ideal moment for such an investment, but with quality service one definitely will get customers. As an early Valentine's surprise we went a night out in our own home town for the very first time. To be short : It was the perfect choice. Located in the heart of the Plateau area, business travelers might choose the hotel for convenience. The huge and secure parking garage (no charge) is a big plus in an area where you can need an hour to find a spot.. The Executive room on the 7th and top floor was of decent size, bedding perfect, amenities (including nespresso machine) good. TV was not working, we didn't bother, but honestly forgot to report it to reception next day (Room 720 Mr. manager in case you read this ;-) ). Not having a printed guide in the room, as the TV and App were not working, was problematic.. Check in at 14h took a bit of time, but went smooth in general. We started of with a drink on the outside terrace. Good seating but prices were overdone (3000 XOF for an espresso and 16000 XOF for a glass of wine are just way beyond Abidjan 5*price level). Movenpick should reconsider this, otherwise they will have thirsty guests, and these don't stay for a drink, but will find it in the area immediatly around the hotel. We then joined the Executive Lounge for Happy Hour.. The staff, service, drinks and food made us really smile again. We had to temper their enthousiasm as we planned to go out for dinner later that evening. Breakfast in the Executive lounge was just great, although some of the choices were not available. Check-out at noon was fast. All-in-all, a very pleasant stay, thanks to the friendly and helpful staff and nice decor. Go and check it out yourself! It is worth it!

      I am a question here in Abijan on an international meeting organized by the Interpol and we were lodged at the Novotel Hotel. On my second day in the hotel which happens to be 08/02/2022 during breakfast, I mistakenly forgot my black Bluetooth at the restaurant, later in the evening I met him and explain to him about my lost Bluetooth after series of notification to other staffs but was all frutile, he was so stressed about the lost of the Bluetooth and he encourage me to go to my roo that he'll cross-check with colleagues. On today's date Thursday 10/02/2022 during the lunch hours he came to with a bag and still say sorry for what I went through that he has found the Bluetooth and gave it to me This staff of yours is very humble, respectful and above all honest. If your management is thinking of awarding staffs for their diligent service to guests, I strongly recommend him as he'll help bust the name of this hotel high to international guests.
