0.77km from University of Haute Alsace IUTWe stayed here for 4 nights. The room and hotel had some good and some not so good points. Overall we enjoyed it so I found it difficult to choose between 3 and 4 stars. Because of the relative high price I choose 3 stars because I expected more. Good: - We asked for and got a room with a balcony. The room was very small, but nicely furnished. The bed was comfortable. I think it was a room that was not renovated yet but that was okay. - Breakfast was good with fresh bread, croissants, cheeses, ham, etc. There was omelet and bacon. Fruit, yoghurt and muesli. Things that were finished were replaced quickly and the lady in the breakfast room was nice. - Parking in the street is free and there was always a space available close to the entrance of the hotel. - It is a short walk to the center of Colmar. - There is a nice garden at the back of the hotel. Unfortunately the weather was not so good that we could use it. Not so good: - One of the receptionist (young woman) was not friendly. When I asked for extra pillows she was very abrupt like I asked a strange question. The other two we saw during our stay were friendly though. - Our shower was in the bath, which means you have to climb into and out of the bath which I do not like and could be a problem for older people. - In the bathroom there was hardly any space to put your things and the daily cleaning of the bathroom could have been better. - Downstairs (reception area) smelt of cooking most of the day, probably coming from the restaurant kitchen. A better extraction of smells would be good.
