Unfortunately, not a very good hostel to stay in. Location is great but if you know other hostels in Japan you notice a huge difference: there is no kitchen nor common room, smoke gets from the bar to the dorms and the bathrooms were dirty when i was there. Reviewing my stay on booking.com got me this answer (see image) so that explains a lot..

We booked a Twin A room which was spacious and very nicely appointed with 2 most comfortable twin beds, a couch and a dressing table, in addition to the cabin bathroom. The airconditioner was individually operated and there was a humidifier/ionizer ensuring great quality air (the windows could also be opened). Situated a 2 minute walk from the station (East exit), the rooms were quiet - although we could see the railway line, we couldn't hear the trains. The staff were welcoming and let us leave our bags with them prior to check-in. The buffet breakfast, included in the price, had a good range of food. The hotel had free wifi, was spotlessly clean and great value! The location is extremely central - close to restaurants, shops, transport and walking distance to Himeji Castle. This was the first Via Inn we stayed in and based on this experience, we would definitely stay with them again.

The hotel is close to Himeji Castle, about ten minutes walk, you can also watch the light show. There is a convenience store next to it, and parking is convenient.

The hotel itself is no problem, the location is excellent, the breakfast is super delicious, the price is too high, the natural hot spring can be a day, the two bubbles are really super comfortable, the hot spring can be used, the bowl of free soy sauce ramen is super warm and the taste is also great. I feel that I can eat two bowls but it is not I am glad that the room is small but the design is very reasonable. The two boxes are also placed under the washbasin. The map location of Ctrip outside can be used with care. The complete positioning is not right. In the past, many walked a lot and many roads were very angry. Improvements will help you with your stay.

Some introductions say that this is a 3 or 4 star hotel is completely misleading. Regardless of the waiter's service attitude, hotel decoration, room hygiene are close to the 5-star grade. The only fly in the ointment is the landscape, but during the day you will go sightseeing in Himeji Castle instead of hiding in the hotel to see the scenery, and it is not important at night what the landscape is.

Got put off by the price of Kyoto onsen ryokan so we went for this one in Himeji before our Kyoto visit. We visited later than expected and asked our previous hotel front desk to call Ueyama Ryokan and told them about it. If you check their page , there should be a pick up service at Himeji station ( if it’s early in the day) but you may need to call them to book and arrange. We ended up running late in the evening so the ryokan front told the hotel front the route we should take and gave the exact time of the bus and bus stop we need to get off. Lucky that we catched the bus and found that their van was already waiting for us at the bus stop. Very impressed by this and felt relieved I didn’t make them wait for us longer or I would have been truly embarrassed and sorry. Because they are two fixed dinner time so your arrival time affects when they need to prepare your food. Try to be on time or at least call in advance so they know when to expect you. Our room is big and comfy but didn’t come with bathroom. There are public baths, outdoor public baths and family outdoor baths ( first come first serve). Love that you actually need to walked up the hill to get to the outdoor ones. The landscape is beautiful and the staff extremely friendly. This is a Ryokan located far from city centre so a 2 nights stay seems a better idea.

Great traditional-style Japanese hotel, with baths and multi-course meal. You get there fairly easily, either by a free shuttle, or by bus, though it doesn't come so often. Check the schedule with the tourist info center. The front desk staff don’t speak any English, but we were able to just tell them our names and get the key. After we got to the room we changed into yukata, a traditional but casual robe worn around ryokan. Normally, at this point you’d then head to the baths for a relaxing soak … but, unfortunately, we arrived at 6, so we had to go straight to dinner. Dinner was excellent. Many, many courses seated in our own private room. We were served very high-quality sashimi, tempura, yakiniku beef, and crab nabe (a traditional soup you cook right at the table), among other things. The chefs designed the course according to seasonally available foods. After living in Japan for almost 4 years, this was still one of the best Japanese meals I’ve ever had. If you’re still hungry at the end (I still eat American-sized portions!), make sure to ask for more rice by saying “go han, ku da sa i”. We opted for the room with the private outdoor bath. It adds on about 15000-20000 yen to the price, but if you can afford to splurge, you won’t regret it. We looked out on the night sky in the middle of winter and enjoyed the fresh air. The view could be a little better (probably nicer in the late spring, when the many rice fields in front of the hotel are growing) but it was still really memorable. Aside from the bath, the room itself offered a comfortable sitting room with reclining chairs and floor-to-ceiling windows, a nice place to watch a sunrise. The main living room was a traditional Japanese tatami room, nothing too special. The beds were quite comfortable, though the pillows are the bead-style ones that some Westerners don’t like. In the morning, we had a great buffet with both Japanese and Western food. There had to have been at least 30 or more options, and none of it was overcooked or rushed like you see in some buffets. Note that you can still wear your yukata at breakfast but if you do, you’ll be part of a small minority. Make sure to get up early, too. I think the breakfast service ends at 9:30 or so. Checkout is unfortunately a bit early at 10. Would have loved to get a bath in before leaving. Asked about late check out but it’s an additional 5000 and you can only stay until noon. So we just got the free shuttle at around 10. It can drop you at Mt. Shosha (highly recommended) or Himeji Castle on the way, but we just went back to the station. All in all, a great stay! It’s a little tricky to navigate with minimal Japanese, but if you’re feeling adventurous and want to have an authentic Japanese experience, you won’t be disappointed.

I used it on a business trip. The parking lot is located on the 3rd floor, so you don't have to worry about being tampered with by passers-by. There was a guide in the parking lot and there was a sense of luxury. Since it is connected to Himeji Station, I think it is more convenient to move by train. You don't need an umbrella even in the rain. I could see Himeji Castle from the room. I like the loungewear that appeals to the goodness of the material without using glue. The sauna and bathroom on the 4th floor can be used free of charge. It was a pity that the temperature of both the sauna and hot water was low. The family crest plate of the successive owners of Himeji Castle was nice and tasteful.

Size of the room type: Considering the price point, it can be considered in Shinjuku area. After all, you can't expect a large area of 20-30 square meters for a few hundred blocks. By the way, if the luggage is too large, it may not be easy to expand. Transportation: It is close to the subway station Shinjuku Sanchome, but it is not particularly close. You need to walk a long way. There are various undocumented inside houses. Unfortunately, foreigners dare not look into it. It seems that there is no other comment on living at high levels at night It ’s so noisy, and the sound insulation of the room has not been actually tested, anyway, it is quite satisfactory From the perspective of personal travel, overall is pretty good

The hotel location is very good, the traffic is very convenient, two subway stations are just outside the door, there are a lot of eating and shopping in the next two or three business districts, there is a shopping mall diagonally opposite, there is a Chinese restaurant on the ground floor, the cost is very high, the taste is also very good . The breakfast in the hotel itself is very good. There are three places to eat. The western breakfast on the top floor is the best, followed by the western food on the Lobby floor. The Japanese breakfast on the Lobby floor is exquisite but not full. The room is clean and hygienic. The area for two adults with one child is large enough. The bed is wide enough. The large bed is 2 meters wide. The garden inside the hotel is very beautiful, the garden is a standard Japanese garden, and there is an artificial waterfall. Generally speaking, it is very suitable for parent-child travel!

I use it most of the time when I stay in Tokyo, but the biggest merit is that it is close to the station and pasta! You don't have to walk long distances or wait outside because you use the limousine bus to Haneda. If it is not Corona, there is a bus from the front of the hotel, so everything is good in terms of location. The staff are very polite, and the rooms and bathrooms are large, with two towels, and you can use different towels at night and in the morning. think. However, it is a pity that there are many reservations for several days and the number of laundry is small and it can not be used, but is that the minus? I think.

Many places have been amazed by just staying in this hotel for two days. Needless to say, the hygiene of most hotels in Japan is very good. The charm of this hotel is that the service is really good, whether it is the staff at the service counter or the reception staff at the door, they treat any guest with a smile on their faces and politely. I remember when I checked in, the young lady who received me talked and laughed with me with a smile on her face. The service was superb. And there is also a service to deliver food to the room, especially during the epidemic, it is very convenient without having to go out to eat. The cost of meals is a bit expensive, and the taste depends on personal preference. It looks more delicate. I have ordered some meals, they taste great and they taste very satisfying.

Haneda Airport/Kamata
The hotel's location is very convenient, just on the departure floor of the International Departure Terminal of Haneda Airport. After reading other reviews, some said it was at counter L and some said it was at counter J. Go directly to the N check-in counter (the innermost one) on the departure floor, and then at the end of the counter is the hotel entrance. See Figures 1, 2, and 3. The front desk of the hotel is on this floor, then take the elevator to the floor where the room is located. The hotel is much larger than I expected. The 2nd to 7th floors of this terminal are all hotel rooms. The room is not big, but it is not too small. Because the child is not charged, there are only 2 beds that are put together. Slippers and pillows are for two people, you can go to the front desk and ask for another. Although the rooms are small, they are fully equipped and have bathtubs. The hotel's breakfast is said to be good, but it doesn't open until 6 o'clock. On our 8 o'clock flight, we didn't order breakfast. The restaurant also serves dinner. There are many other restaurants in the terminal, as well as fast food like Yoshinoya. If you have nothing to do, you can go to the observation deck to watch the plane take off and land. The walls and windows of the room were well soundproofed, and the sound of the plane taking off and landing was completely audible, but the soundproofing of the door was poor, and the sound of the corridor was clear. Overall, it is very suitable for people who fly early.
