All I can say is WOW! Everything was PERFECT. Here, there was little sign that the pandemic even occurred. Daily housekeeping, quality pillows and towels, open stores and restaurants…all of this made me so happy! The only thing I would have enjoyed was morning coffee room service, but I’m sure this hotel is recovering from the pandemic like everyone else. What a FANTASTIC stay. Gabriel’s restaurant was fantastic and was open until 10pm, which was wonderful since we arrived at 9pm from a long road trip. I will never stay anywhere else!!

AC Hotel is the perfect location when visiting UT. The hotel staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. The true stars of my stay were the Towne Park Valet Staff. John Moore was a life saver and went above and beyond what most valets would do. He helped repair my car to make sure I could leave the hotel safely and get on the road. Tyler was friendly and reassuring during this very stressful time. I cannot thank them enough. I will certainly be staying at AC again!.

The hotel is located north of the state government, close to Texas University, relatively quiet, and passers-by guests are cost-effective for the night. If it is a holiday in Austin, it is recommended to choose to be close to 6th St.

The room was very spacious, but still very dated. However, the bathroom seems to follow the pattern of Hilton brands during the pandemic of moldy bathrooms. I felt disgusting showering in the bathroom. As a Gold member, I’m supposed to get preferred rooms. I could only imagine what a non-elite member gets. Housekeeping remains a request only process and there is even a sticker glued to the mirror advertising the “free” housekeeping if you call. That makes me believe this policy is sticking around. It didn’t help I cut my finger on the door when coming to my room the first time. The front desk offered to sell me a bandaid for my wound. As a Gold member, I know Hilton doesn’t give free breakfast anymore but rather a 15 daily credit in restaurant. You certainly can’t buy breakfast for this price. Even the wines by the glass are in the 17-25 range, so the credit is really a coupon to squeeze more revenue out of you after taking away a benefit. There’s a reason I’m winding down my stays with Hilton and this property is a perfect illustration.

To begin, the atmosphere is lively! I am a lively person, but being there for business I was sad that I didn’t have more energy to truly enjoy the experience. This is a great hotel for a bachelorette or weekend getaway for sure! First, the front desk ladies are super friendly and welcoming— they also provided a poker chip for a complimentary drink. The bar was great as well and I thoroughly enjoyed the signature cocktail. The bartenders were very nice and accommodating. On to the room... small, but honestly, the cleanest room I’ve ever seen! It reminds me of European rooms which are small, but the fun isn’t in the room, right?! Very pleased with the comfortable and clean room. I’ll certainly return for pleasure on the next round :)

This hotel is a bit old and needs updating. The shower lacked hot water and the power outlets in the bathroom were inoperable. The headboard was old and tattered on one of the beds. Front desk employee was extremely pleasant and bubbly. Hotels are a bit pricey in Austin but if you want something a bit more current I recommend spending an extra 50-100 dollars. If you are in a pinch, this place is alright.

Last minute search for a rooms as I would be attending TASSP conference in Austin and our campus secretary found this chain. I arrived late to the hotel and it became a whose on first skit with the clerk. After that crazy chasing of my tail happened, I had a choice park on the street ot lay $30 a night in the hotel parking area. Walking into my room on the second floor and you get that very old carpet and stale air. It's best if you take your soap and shampoo and most importantly your shower shoes don't walk barefooted in the room. The room has an ironing board and iron but the board is not steady. The temperature in the room can be at extremes so careful when you adjust the temperature. This hotel is a long walk from convention center and you need to pass homeless area. I didn't have a good experience at this hotel.

Location was excellent! Close to many destinations from bars, clubs and restaurants, grocery stories (target, Whole Foods) Down the street from Franklins BEST brisket in Austin 😝 Friendly check in , pool is perfect for summer weather! Gave cleanliness a 4 bc toilet didn’t not work first day and when send plumber to fix he has to go out and buy a part that needed replacement due to not being maintained. Took half a day to get fixed and couldn’t use restroom to 💩 After new part was installed , toiled flushed and at times got stuck so we had to turn of the water from bottom of toilet and turn back in for feces to flush 😩 Other than that, we were closed to many locations assessable on lime light scooter. Friend lobby held our bags last day for us to explore and we’re kind enough to deliver pre stamped postcards ♥️

After a long day we finally arrived in Austin about 10:30pm. We followed the GPS to the address only to be redirected several times due to closed roads and construction. This is obviously not the fault of the hotel but maybe there should be a disclaimer on how to locate them! After about 45 minutes we FINALLY figured out how to get to the hotel. It was Thursday night and the night clerk was so nice. She chatted with us about how long it took to locate the hotel. We laughed about how she must have this and conversation over and over with disgruntled out of towners. We inquired about local places to grab food and she recommended using Uber eats because of the road issues. Either way she was delightful to talk to after our experience! We checked into our room 437. The room was clean but certainly outdated. The wood was very dark which made the room dark. There were not plugs on both sides of the bed so you could not plug up 2 cpaps. The bed itself was comforting but the pillows were terrible! They are the kind that are flat when you last on them. You'd need 5 or 6 to be comfortable. The bathroom was fairly small and had great water pressure! Plus the water got hot quickly. The people in the room next to us were smoking in their room and we could smell it in our bathroom. But it was late so we shut the bathroom door and went to sleep. The food for breakfast was very carb driven. No fruit offered. We opted to eat elsewhere. On Friday evening we once again got lost returning to the hotel so we decided we were going to check out and go to another hotel. As we were talking to the Friday clerk (8pm) and explained that we were going to checkout in the mooring instead of Monday she looked at us and said ok. Got on her computer made a few comments and appeared irritated. I asked her if she wanted to know why we were leaving. She didn't! Then we found out the elevators are no longer working. I asked if she knew how long it would be before they are fixed. I am on the 4th floor and have issues walking fire to 2 ankle surgeries and vertigo. She said nope no clue. Have good night. Seriously a terrible response. On Saturday we walked down to the lovely clerk and asked her if she knew we were checking out early. She pulled up our account and said nothing was noted. Then she inquired about our stay. We expressed the difficulty of navigating to the hotel (apparently many people are having this issue and canceling their reservations) and the smoke wafting into our room via the air vents. She was so apologetic. I told her I tried to tell the Friday night clerk but she seemed bothered to have to deal with me. The morning clerk discounted out room rate as well due to the issues. Overall if the traffic route was fixed and I was visiting we would stay here again. 2 out of the 3 staff we interacted with super nice. The smoking was the biggest issue overall! Plus the elevator was fixed Friday evening.

Ken the manager was super helpful with a noise issue. They have a shuttle that was a godsend during my eye surgery at Austin Eye just across Hwy 183. Since I was alone and couldn’t drive I was wonderful to be taken and picked up by a friendly driver. I stay here every time I’m in Austin 😊

I was extremely upset to see a movie with nudity and a scene of a nude man and a woman having sex (AKA porn) on the lobby / breakfast room television. I was even more upset when after asking the the manager, Diana, to change the channel she came into the area and I instead of just changing the channel to something more appropriate, asked the man seated behind me if it was okay for her to change the channel as if something like that was up for a vote among guests instead of hotel policy. To say I was angry at the way she mis-handled this would be an understatement . Despite the fact I stayed at this Hampton at least a half dozen times last year or so , I won’t be returning. Keep porn off public televisions and teach managers how to deal with matters of corporate policy would be my suggestion Hampton/Hilton. Otherwise the location is good and the rooms are clean. Too bad they allow unclean programming to be played on their television in the public area. Thankfully no children were in there at the time this occurred.

The good- the staff was really friendly. The pool is open from 6am to 11 pm, which was really nice, Because we have a toddler. And the pool was heated! The not so good- breakfast was a joke, maybe because of covid? There were no hot options except microwaveable sandwiches. No fruit or oatmeal. Just cold cereal and yogurt. Also I got up early to use the fitness room and run the stairs. There was a man sleeping at the top of the stairwell. He didn’t necessarily look homeless. Maybe just an employee catching a nap or a guest that drank to much. Either way items a little odd

Stayed here for a business event and was pleasantly surprised! The W has been in downtown Austin for many years now, and I was worried it would be a little worn down. This was a mid-week stay and the due to my Marriott status I was upgraded to a corner king suite. What a fantastic view! And the room was fresh and fun. I will definitely be returning. Andrew at the front desk was professional and friendly. Very helpful. I will say I was disappointed that the bar was not open mid-week and at 4:30 the restaurant bar was unmanned and dead quiet. Not even music to warm up the space. I saw another fellow traveler wandering around looking for a place to get a drink. Thankfully there are plenty of places around the W like Bob's, North Italia, and others.

A bit dated but clean facility nonetheless. Staff is helpful and friendly. After landing from flight out of CA and was looking forward to some real openness after COVID, this place reminds me of being stuck in SIP. I don’t mind the takeout breakfast, but the selection can definitely improved for what they charge. Banana, store bought muffins and breakfast bar, oatmeal packages, yogurt...how about so,e hard boiled eggs, more yogurt selection than just orange flavor? Maybe bagels and donuts? Even just milk and cereal would be welcomed by the kids...

Well this hotel has floored me in so many ways good and bad. Arrival/Reception After two cancelled flights and a hell of a journey from UK I couldn’t not face any bad customer service. The chap on Saturday evening (think called Jake) probably have me the best welcome I have had in any hotel globally. What an amazing young man. He made me feel happy to be here and I must say this chap talent with people needs to be recognised. Room The suite was spacious and very clean. Only downside no safe to store valuables. Pool Surprised to see holiday inn express with a pool a lovely add on. It is fine for what I wanted. Breakfast It’s free so I shouldn’t criticise. The amount of single use plastic made me sad and very disappointed that this hotel shows lack of care about the environment. Value for money Amazing value for money Now I will be back and back if only dealt with the plastic situation.

On the edge of Highway 35, the transportation is convenient. On the edge are Austin, football stadiums, hospitals, cemeteries, football fields, and so on. There are also some small special restaurants around, which is convenient. Breakfast is the easiest motel breakfast. Because of the hurry, so it’s okay, the room has oil, and it’s just cold. Stayed here for one night on April 23, 2022. We had been here before about 5 years prior. The road construction is still going on out front. Can get a little confusing getting to it at night. Overall, the hotel is still great. We stayed at a different Hampton Inn February 2022. We were on the second floor at the time. The ceiling there was really thin and could constantly here people up and moving around. We requested a third-floor room this time and got room 314. Room was very quiet, could not here any noise. The room faces away from the highway so no street noise. Back parking lot was pretty well lit at night. Room and bathroom were very clean. The TV is pretty big. Breakfast was good. Hot Scrambled eggs, Hot hashbrowns, Hot oatmeal. Make your own waffles, assorted muffins and some grab and go nutri-grain bars. Loved the variety of juices as well. Lobby also has coffee and hot chocolate available. All in all, great stay. When I'm in this part of Austin again I would not hesitate to stay here again.

The fact that the hotel's website doesn't mention that they are undergoing renovations is so deceiving. Even after booking, I never received any correspondence regarding construction going on during my stay. It was a complete shock to walk into the lobby and hear the noise level of the construction. They have set hours and I believe it was 12:00pm-5:00pm on the weekend but if you want to sleep in during the week, forget about it as they start at 8:30am. There is also construction going on across the street, which isn't the Hampton Inns fault, however if you want to enjoy the pool peacefully, you won't be able to. Additionally, there were several flying insects in the corners of my room that I didn't notice until my last morning before checkout. I really wish I would have noticed right when I got to the room. The fact that I slept in a room with bugs for 3 nights disgusts me. I have two videos of the bugs; however, Trip Advisor only allows for pictures. I'm sure this is going to be a great place to stay after the renovations are complete as their response suggests on another review, however if you are looking to stay in the immediate future, do so at your own risk. Being a Hilton Honors Member, I'm being generous with the star rating. The 2 star review is based solely on the location of the hotel. I have never been to Austin before and this hotel's location gave me the opportunity to walk everywhere. Highly recommend the location. However, I wish for over $700 they had at least given me the heads up regarding construction.

Front desk employees were friendly and had excellent customer service. No complaints there at all. Breakfast was as you would expect for this price point, and limited as you would expect due to covid. Beds were very comfortable. My lower rating comes from the cleanliness of the room. Nothing overly dirty, but I also didn't get a sense the room was well cleaned. There was lots of black particles under the bathroom towels and on the toilet tank top. The same particles are on the fan covering in the ceiling, so I assume it fell from there. There was also black handprints on the curtains, so that tells me the black stuff is obviously not something new. I couldn't tell if the remote had been cleaned (other hotels I have stayed at will have them in a plastic bag or something so you know it has been sanitized). We had about 1/3 roll of toilet paper, which was enough for out stay, but no extra toilet paper roll was left for us. Lots of little things like that which made me wonder how effectively our room was cleaned and prepped. We will be staying elsewhere next time.

First, our experience was definitely influenced by our Marriott status, which resulted in an upgrade of our room (using our Suite nights). We had a corner king suite, and it was definitely a sweet suite. We traveled to the area for a wedding and added some days and nearby excursions, so we were at the hotel for a total of five nights. The check-in process was smooth - Cole, at the front desk, was helpful and polite, and said, ”Hello,” to us every time we passed through the lobby when he was there. The M Club had good breakfast options, including some of the best bacon I've had at a hotel breakfast. Our room was tidied every day with trash removal, bed-making, and fresh towels. The hotel is located near several major roads so getting around the city was easy. There are also several other Marriott properties beside this one if you have a different preference for brand. We would definitely stay here again - if we ever go back to hot Texas - the temperature was over 100 degrees when we were there.

      Austin City Center
Our stay was simple and easy for Austin, Texas just down the street from the Great State of Texas Capital building or a short walk to the river. The hotel staff will greet you and have you wisked away to your room as fast as possible. Our room #2314 was a regular king room and the large size was good to have. The windows were floor to ceiling to have great views of the city day or night. Austin is home to the Texas music scene so many stay here for the access to all that is offered. The staff made sure our stay was enjoyable and I highly recommend requesting the charcuterie board with a great bottle 🍾 as it was sent up for us from the hotel. This hotel is designed for the business traveler in mind, great meeting spot and conference hotel. Book a breakfast, lunch or dinner at the Corner for a great meal. We utilize the valet service during our stay and the easy texting system works great. 👍 All in all a great stay next time your in Austin try the JW Marriott. #texastravel #visittexas #marriottbonvoy
