0.67km from University of Verona - Silos di PonenteWe stayed here for two nights in early October. I has already tried to find the place on Google Earth before we stayed here and all I could find was a brown door in a wall - but don't let that put you off! The Apartment which we stayed in was on the second floor at the front of the building - the other Apartments bar two appear to be private. The Apartment was huge with a large Kitchen/Diner, Double Bedroom and Bathroom. Although both the Kitchen and Bedroom have opening doors onto balcony's that overlook the road outside the double glazing is excellent and noise won't disturb you. We gave Patrizio a ring when we arrived, his number is on the intercom outside and he came to meet us. He is a great character and gave us some great advice about getting around and where to eat. Although 'breakfast' isn't included as such, there are free snacks in the apartment, juice and water in the fridge, a kettle with tea's as well as a Coffee machine and Patrizio will leave fresh Pastries on the door for you in the morning. We got a Taxi directly from the Airport (about 35 Euro) which took 20 minutes. The walk into the main square in the town takes no more than 5 minutes and its only 15 minutes to walk to the Roman Arena. Lunch and an Evening meal out for two of us with two courses and drinks was around 50 Euro. We went to the Arena (15 Euro) and visited a couple of beautiful Churches (entry 6 Euro). All in all Verona is a fantastic medieval Town, easily walkable as its flat with little traffic in the old town. The day that we left, we weren't due to get our flight until later in the day, so Patrizio took us to the Cafe downstairs where we were able to leave our cases and even bought us a Coffee - what a great Guy!
