We are just settling down for our last night in wonderful Verona in this lovely guest house. The guest house is simple but nicely decorated and within a ten minute walk to the main part of Verona. The staff have all been very helpful and courteous throughout and have tips and suggestions and were to eat and drink. The little things make all the difference for shirt stays like this. In the room is a fridge stocked with water, fruit, yogurts, soft drinks and some alcohol (alcohol at a modest extra cost). There are also snacks and a good coffee machine to use. There is even perfume and aftershave in the bathroom should you have forgotten to bring any! Breakfast is delivered to your door ever morning and has been a good start to the day. Close between crossings and pastries or a ham and cheese style breakfast. A great base to explore the city and have a nice nights sleep. Me and my wife would stay again. Thank you.

so I booked a room for 2 nights here. It is really close to the bridge and in less than 10min walk, you are at Verona Arena. The staffs are really friendly and helpful. The room was big and clean, and it even had a private balcony (of course it depends on which room you select). We actually booked a room with shared bathroom which was cheaper but upon our arrival, they said that we can stay in the other room with private bathroom and balcony. There is a small common area to chill with books and board games. The kitchen is really big and comfortable and we also cooked for lunch there to save some money. The breakfast is free and it is basic (which is normal, because I mean it is not a hotel or something). Maybe the only discomfort was one family staying in the other room that at 3 am coming back from the arena they were really loud. This has nothing to do with the B&B itself but rather uncivilized people in the other room. My overall rating is very good.

Stayed 2 nights in the studio and were happy with our stay. The apartment is located just over the bridge that takes you straight into the centre. The train station is quite far but there are public bus connections from the train station that take you to the via settembre xx-universidad stop for 2 euros. We were met at the apartment at the arranged time. The apartment has the basics you need. Some pots and pans, mini fridge, kettle. No microwave and no washing machine or dishwasher. Has dishes, utensils and a stove. We didn't do any cooking. There is a small table to eat, there are 2 complimentary bottles of water, coffee and tea. One thing that we found difficult was finding a supermarket close by but it could be because we just weren't looking in the right place. Best to ask if when you check in where there is one. The bed was comfy and place was clean. They clean everyday. A/c was ok for us but if you want it to be very cool then maybe it will not be good for you. Quiet area but some street noise if you open the windows. Door is secure but a bit fiddly to open so make sure they explain it to you. Overall good stay and would recommend.

We should have booked this in the first place! After arriving in Verona to find our original booked hotel no longer existed, we booked Veronetta House very last minute (whilst stood outside the front door). Despite our unexpected and very last minute arrival. we were made to feel so welcome and could check in early, leaving our bags and cooking ourselves with the lovely air conditioning. Excellent restaurant recommendations and providing us with a print out of the story of Carmen which we had booked to see that night were great extras. The location was ideal near the river, quiet at night but close to the Piazza and arena. The room itself was quiet, cool and comfortable with so many extra little touches (perfume, a mobile phone to take with you and complimentary soft drinks etc) which made out stay so relaxing. Breakfast was a bonus with so much attention to detail and there really was something for everyone! A beautiful house with a fantastic host. We thoroughly recommend. Thank you.

My partner and I stayed at Piano Tre over the weekend and we cannot quite put into words in how welcomed we felt by Sabina and the superb accommodation Piano Tre has to offer. We were welcomed with open arms by Sabina who kindly let us drop off our bags (as we had a very early flight) so we could explore the beautiful city. Sabina showed and recommended us everything you will need or want to know about the city. We also were able to communicate throughout our stay via WhatsApp to ask any questions if needed (this really helped as we needed assistance in arranging a visit to Venice for the day). Sabina made our trip so special and cannot imagine our stay without her friendliness and assistance. The room has everything you could need, Hairdryer, Coffee Machine, Water, TV, Snacks (included), full length mirror and so much more. It’s practical, in a great location (walking distance to literally everything) and has a minimal, chic boutique style and cleaned everyday (if you would like). If you ever get the chance to visit this beautiful Italian City I would highly recommend booking at the Piano Tre!!!!!!

We stayed here for two nights in early October. I has already tried to find the place on Google Earth before we stayed here and all I could find was a brown door in a wall - but don't let that put you off! The Apartment which we stayed in was on the second floor at the front of the building - the other Apartments bar two appear to be private. The Apartment was huge with a large Kitchen/Diner, Double Bedroom and Bathroom. Although both the Kitchen and Bedroom have opening doors onto balcony's that overlook the road outside the double glazing is excellent and noise won't disturb you. We gave Patrizio a ring when we arrived, his number is on the intercom outside and he came to meet us. He is a great character and gave us some great advice about getting around and where to eat. Although 'breakfast' isn't included as such, there are free snacks in the apartment, juice and water in the fridge, a kettle with tea's as well as a Coffee machine and Patrizio will leave fresh Pastries on the door for you in the morning. We got a Taxi directly from the Airport (about 35 Euro) which took 20 minutes. The walk into the main square in the town takes no more than 5 minutes and its only 15 minutes to walk to the Roman Arena. Lunch and an Evening meal out for two of us with two courses and drinks was around 50 Euro. We went to the Arena (15 Euro) and visited a couple of beautiful Churches (entry 6 Euro). All in all Verona is a fantastic medieval Town, easily walkable as its flat with little traffic in the old town. The day that we left, we weren't due to get our flight until later in the day, so Patrizio took us to the Cafe downstairs where we were able to leave our cases and even bought us a Coffee - what a great Guy!

We had room 1 with lovely small balcony for one week. Effortless check in and lovely to find water and a good bottle of Prosecco waiting in the fridge. Plenty of coffee pods. Unusually there is a kettle if you prefer tea. The location was unbeatable being a ten minute very pleasant walk over the lovely river into the historic centre. We loved the walk and the views down the river with so many ancient landmarks and monumental churches. We could have stayed a month and still had much to explore. Nicola, the super super host, explained the locality perfectly. We were totally immersed and lived like Veronians, buying gorgeous bread and croissants from the bakery around the corner, shopping in the farmers market for lovely fresh fruit and vegetables, amazing cheeses and everything we needed including the local wines so reasonably priced. the apartment is equipped with everything we needed and we did cook two or three times because it was fun to do so listening to La Traviata to prepare for the opera we were there for with the balcony doors open. You will hear a lot of church bells which we adore. When we did eat out there was so much choice and we took Nicola’s suggestions and were delighted. We loved though, strolling home, to go into the ice cream shop at the end of the street so much choice and some milk free choices. We totally loved the apartment, beautiful bed linen changed every 3 days, luxury towels every 2 days. The 16th century building is bagged with atmosphere having been ever so sympathetically restored by Nicola himself with a contemporary twist but the evidence is there with those frescoes and timber ceilings. Nicola was more than happy to arrange our dinner reservation and taxis to the arena for the opera and also a very early taxi on the day of our departure. Everything went like clockwork. We found Nicola to be a perfect refined Italian gentleman with very good English and really one of the most hospitable hosts we’ve come across and we’re are very well travelled. We really want to return to this home from home. It was perfect.

I am very pleased with my choice to stay in this hotel, it really met my expectations at full. It absolutely serves the purpose of visiting Verona (and Arena's Opera) on the one hand and on the other hand organising excursions to Lago di Garda and other locations around (Padova, Mantova etc). Nice quiet location and yet easily accessible, free parking very convenient. Breakfast could be better and the receptionist should have advised us about the closing of the reception and of the hotel after midnight, so we would not have freaked out when we returned from the opera at abt. 01:00.

The biggest hotel in Italy, the underground parking lot is very safe, the front desk will give a password, enter the password downstairs to park directly. The doorway of the car is farther away, and the door is flat. In addition, the hotel's breakfast is good. You can go to Lake Garda, not too far away, the environment is not bad. Recommended to stay in Verona for a few more days. A small but very comfortable city!

The best camper park I have ever been to. Everything is brand new. Super friendly staff with perfect English. Spacous pitch. A Bar with mini-market but also atm for coffee and snacks. A special luxyry for cats and dogs: their own shower. Kids play area and easy grey water spot. All inclusive package includes even wi-fi covering your camper area not just reception. There is a direct bus to old city and our taxi was 20€. These people really now how to build a camping area! Too bad there is no more than 5 stars available. You would earn more Stars compared to many others.

The hotel's rooms are clean and tidy, the layout is very characteristic, the bathroom is large, and disposable toothbrushes and slippers are provided. The service of the hotel is very good, especially the duty manager of the front desk gentleman, patient and kind. The location is particularly good, in the heart of Verona, walking to the Juliet House for 3 minutes. The breakfast is very rich, cappuccino, homemade raspberry yoghurt is especially delicious, all kinds of bread dessert, salad and fruit, salmon, roast beef tastes very good. We booked the "Double Room, Ensuite" for one night in Verona and we also asked the hosts to reserve a garage for us. The room was very clean and the location of the property is very good, as you are in a 10 minutes walking distance from the city center. The two hosts very friendly and they gave us precious information about Verona and the other Italian cities which we wanted to visit. The price-value proportion of the property is excellent and we definitely recommend you to book a room at CasapiuRooms.

I booked this B&B via Booking.com and was attracted to it, mainly due to its location, but also the fact that it only has 5 rooms so all guests are treated with utmost care and attention. I was impressed to see that as soon as I booked Gianni contacted me via Whats app, and kept me informed with the development of my booking all the way. Location - Perfect, its i9n the heart of the old town, and every tourist attraction is within easy walking distance. The old city walls are right outside the front door, the arena is 50m to the right and the bus station is a 15 minute walk away, ( allow 25 mins if you have a big case) Appearance - very good, it looks as though it has recently been renovated and I could find no real fault with our room at all. Staff service - After checking in I only saw Gianni at breakfast time, but he gave good advise about getting around the town, handed out free maps and could not be more helpful. He also spoke very good English. Food - There are plenty of restaurants around so guests do not have to walk far to find some good food. We had breakfast at the B&B and as expected it was continental breakfast fare, cheese, hams, bread toast, cereals, yogurts and bottomless tea and coffee. Its not 5 star but its much cheaper than anywhere else in town and will certainly fill you up. Rooms - Pretty good size, bed was comfortable, the room was quiet and it had a small TV which did not show any English channels, a safe and plenty of drawer and hanging space. Staff kept the room spotlessly clean. Bathroom - The bathroom was huge with a wet room style shower that was powerful and had plenty of hot water. Towels were lovely and soft and the hotel provided shampoo in sachets but no shower gel, so top tip bring your own. Trips out - If you feel that you have "Done " Verona, short trips by train will take you to Venice or lake Garda, both worth a visit if you have time. WIFI - Excellent throughout the hotel and free City Tax - I hate this but its not the hotels fault. The cost is 1.5 Euro PP per night Whats App - Gianni answered all my questions before arrival, I contacted him when I landed and he was waiting at the hotel for us when we arrived, service was superb. This is not the Ritz, but for its location and service its excellent value for money and I would not hesitate to stay here again when I next visit Verona.

My husband and I recently stayed three nights at B&B Santo Stefano. We travel often and always search for places to stay that are small, quaint, well located, and have something special about them. I always read every review of a potential place we might stay, and B&B Santo Stefano had all 5 star reviews. It turned out that all the positive reviews were true. This b&b proved to be in a perfect location, just over the other side of the Adige River, away from the more frequented areas of Verona. Our room had two large windows, one that had a great view of the Ponte Pietro Bridge which was just a stones throw away. The bed was very comfortable and we slept well because of that, and also because the windows must be triple glazed with shutters outside that can be closed at night to keep the room dark and very quiet. The breakfasts were very good and served in the room by Luca each morning at the time of our choosing. Luca was a great host. We definitely highly recommend this b&b.

We stayed in the Hotel Aurora during 7 days. Excellent location. Several minutes walk to all interesting and special points of Verona. Taxi near entrance to hotel. Of cause, because so central location, there was noisy. Especially at Saturday and Sunday. But it is central location. Additional point - reception situated in the first floor. From this floor there is lift, but from entrance you have to climb the stairs. But staff give us possibility to enter via another door with less stairs. It is really family hotel. The staff were so friendly. All our questions and requests were answered immediately. In any language: English, Russian. Especially we want to note the friendly attitude and help of Elena. Order a taxi, order excursions, recommendations on visiting restaurants, pastry shops,site-seeing. Room was small, but comfortable, excellent bed, good bath facilities. Several times a week the linens was changed, towels were changed every day. Staying in Aurora Hotel was one of the best in our trips. Thank you.

We stayed three nights in Verona and wanted to live centrally, B & B Ermanni lived up to this wish. The view from our room was in a gloomy backyard, but that did not bother us, the room was absolutely quiet, what you in a center can not necessarily expect. The room, as well as bathroom was spacious, bright, very clean modern and tastefully decorated. The same applies to all secondary rooms in this accommodation. Of course, there is also a highlight here and this is the top kitchen in Raffaelas B & B. There is wonderful, fresh breakfast and small talk that can easily turn into an interesting long talk with the owner or other guests. Helpful for our heavy luggage was of course the elevator. Parking was reasonable priced in a public, new car park in about 10 minutes walking distance. We will certainly be back at Raffaela, should we return to Verona.

My wife and I just spent a week at Fra. Lorenzo and here are our thoughts. Spectacular views over the city and river from this hillside location, beautiful building, immaculate grounds and pool.....a little bit isolated. All staff we encountered before and during our trip were wonderful, helpful and always smiling, though the hotel seemed, generally, understaffed. Other reviewers and management spend much time discussing how long it takes to walk to and from the hotel to the main town, via the path, and in our experience all are about correct. We are in our sixties, fit, healthy and regular walkers. The time taken, however, is not as important as the steepness of the path, particularly the 250/300m as you leave and approach the hotel. It is not to be underestimated!, is VERY STEEP and perhaps, reasonably, only for the very fit and healthy. Hotel has mini-van to town at 11:00 and return at 18:00....check times at desk as they may vary........more often would be better. Taxis are about €14 each way. Another reviewer comments that room cleaning seems superficial and we agree. This is perhaps as staffing levels permit no more. Breakfast is described by management, in response to another review, as American Buffet Style. We spend several months each year in America and are afraid that management’s description is only correct if you have been staying in a cheap, roadside motel. The cold buffet is adequate if predictable but the hot offering is only bacon and eggs. Judge for yourself if only bacon and eggs as a hot, breakfast offering, is good enough in a hotel of quality. Breakfast service, too, is poor. A single, clearly untrained waiter had to take orders, serve and clear tables. This meant that dirty dishes were not promptly removed. This problem is not the fault of the courteous, hardworking waiter (he is also the mini-van driver, does some cleaning and serves tables in the evening)...the waiter is doing all he can but would surely benefit from specific training and simply, more staff are needed at breakfast. At breakfast, too, guests have to queue in a line, with their coffee cup, to use the one coffee machine which makes a variety of types of single cups of coffee. After guests have lined up to get their coffee they then have to line up, again, to use the single toast machine. While you are in line your eggs and bacon are getting cold as they have been served to your table. Again, is this good enough for this hotel? Respectfully, in our opinion, the breakfast offering and service needs a complete rethink by management. There is much to enjoy about Fra. Lorenzo, particularly the current staff. Increased staffing levels, more regular shuttle to and from the town and a complete reassessment, of at least the current breakfast hot offering and service provision, would surely improve the guest experience and perhaps encourage return.

My visit to Verona was a stopover on my way to another country. A back injury turned into a need to rest before continuing my travels and this was the perfect spot. The friendliness of the owner/manager, Giuseppe was appreciated after a one-night stay at a more well-known hotel who managed to leave out the hospitality portion of their business. Art & Coffee was centrally located and the room was an eclectic collection of antiques, artsy collectibles and added touches that made you feel like you were staying at grandma's house. I liked the charm and near-Victorian feel of my room that was spacious, provided a towel, washcloth and bathrobe. This is a B&B, so please communicate your check-in time with the host so he can meet you outside the looked door of this vintage-style apartment building. He will open the outer door and take you to the second level of the B&B. There is an old-style lift that will carry you and your luggage to your floor if you wish to avoid the stairs. The coffee machine is so big that I missed it! Breakfast items included eggs, yogurt, pastries and various breads and spreads. I am gluten-free and there was a basket of GF goodies that I could choose from. The bed was very comfortable and all of the rooms were clean and saw them cleaned everyday. If you enjoy endless access to coffee, a home-spun feel, and don't mind being in the city center and hearing the noises of the city and intrinsic sounds of an older building (I solved this with earplugs), then this is the place for you! Guiseppe responds quickly to emails, text or phone calls and is very helpful and charming.

This is a smal and unpretentious place with an excellent location, 4 minutes walk from the Arena and yet just outside the ZTL zone so you can drive to the hotel without needing the permit. Parking in the adjacent public garage is 18€ for anything between 6 and 24h but so much easier than circling the area. The welcome was very methodical, every detail about the B&B explained, including light switches, keys, water cooler, free snacks all pointed out. Then a free map of Verona with all the attractions circled. Nothing was left to chance! In our room there was fresh fruit and cookies for all, as well as a carafe for water. Toiletries were small sachets of shampoo etc only. The room was clean and light, we had a 3 bed room with space for all our things, but not really for unpacking. Bed was comfortable but a bit creaky. I hope we didn’t disturb the other guests when we got back late after the opera, they didn’t disturb us but that could happen as the rooms are close together and all 3 shared a bathroom. Air condition was quite noisy but did a good job. We didn’t have breakfast but it was very cheap. In all, a good cheap option with excellent location.

What a magnificent residence! I can’t believe that places of this quality aren’t more known about. LOV sits in the heart of Verona. A beautiful old palace restored to 32 impeccable suites with full kitchen facilities. Immaculate, spotlessly clean, great views and incredible staff. They couldn’t do enough to help us.....book restaurants, get train tickets, organise car transfers and everything else in between. We were treated like family and felt exceptionally welcome. I couldn’t imagine staying anywhere else in Verona now. I’ve done Due Torre (dark, small rooms, pretentious, old and astronomically expensive) and Gabia d’Oro (beautiful hotel with great staff and fantastic atmosphere) and even Byblos Arts ( great hotel but too far away). The rooms at LOV are wonderful....spacious, beautifully kitted out and great bathrooms. I love the espresso machine with little capsules as well as the powerful showers. LOV has no restaurant but within 10 ft of the front door is a spectacular Italian trattoria serving exquisite pizza, pasta and all Italian favourites, and very cheap. So no need to have a hotel cafe or restaurant. It let’s the hotel focus on core hospitality. Then there’s another 100 places to eat within a 5 min walk, including a delicious ice cream place 25 feet away. If you are going Verona and want genuine luxury, stay here. You will love it. The hotel is on the 5th floor of an apartment block but don’t let that put you off, it works very well. The rooms were clean, spacious and very well appointed, particularly the bathroom. Breakfast was included and was more than sufficient. The reception was open for most of the day and all the staff were extremely helpful. Excellent views from the terrace on the 6th floor. You can walk to the centre of Verona in about 20 minutes or get a bus from just outside the hotel to the centre or railway station. I would recommend this hotel and would certainly use again.

Great, close to the train station, good room facilities, 15 minutes from the square and the central scenic spot, high cost performance, rich breakfast. The reception staff was enthusiastic, helping me with luggage storage in advance, and the air conditioning was also powerful. The fountain outside the hotel was especially beautiful. It was really good to use the natural river to create such a scene. It was really good that every time I entered the gate, there was no waiter to open the door. This is really the door. too heavy.

Cittadella - Porta Nuova
We spent two nights here for a brief post skiing visit to Verona. The hotel is well located, about 15 mins walk from the station and 10 mins from the amphitheatre. A very convenient if not eseciallypicturesque location. Although the hotel fronts onto a biggish road, the noise did not impinge on us at all, even though we had a room at the front. The decor is distinctive, in good way; coulourful and slightly bizarre furniture in the public area, less so in the bedroom and dining room. Our room was distinctly large and very comfortable. The furniture was stylish and the bed was very comfortable and large. We had a small balcony, too small to be of much use. The bathroom was not huge but perfectly adequate, with a decent walk in shower. The breakfast buffet was good; excellent coffee was provided and the usual array of fruit, cheese, cold meats, breads, jams, juice ... . Some cooked dishes were offered, which we didn't try. I'm not aware that dinner is offered. The reception area doubles as an informal bar, should you need it, not the that there is any shortage of bars in Verona. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

The hotel is absolutely first class, the room is large, the greenery is in the middle, the booked triple room, the room layout is reasonable, the service is thoughtful, the breakfast is a word stick, the surrounding environment is good, the main road is 10 minutes away from the core scenic spot, walk through the famous shop, go to About 25 minutes by the river, Verona's prices are close to the people, and the law and order is good. Although it is no more prosperous than the big city, there is definitely a quiet and elegant, the city is scattered on both sides of the river bank, the beautiful daze!

We stayed at Scaligero Rooms one night but we wish we could stay longer. The room and bathroom were fully renovated and super clean. We had the possibility to leave our bag before check in time which we really appreciated. Breakfast was tasty and fresh with various choices. The only suggestion we have for the staff is to start breakfast a little bit earlier, as 8:30am may be late for those who need to catch a train, or business travellers.
