The wife & I went on a birthday/anniversary trip and stayed at the Thompson. We have nothing but great things to say about this hotel. The rooftop restaurant was great, the staff was excellent, and the overall stay was better than we could've asked for. They truly helped make the surprise trip special and we will definitely be staying there again.

The hotel is wonderful and the staff was exceptional. Emily at the lobby bar, Phyllis and Barbara in the cafe to name a few. Faults: no concierge on staff to help Nashville newbies on local dining venues or sights. Front desk staff very kind but called upon to fill this position and not really good at it. Also when checking in the front desk staff were constantly being interrupted to answer the phone which was a bit rude. Last but not least the valet parking situation! We waited almost one hour for our car Sunday morning to be delivered. This can only be attributed to poor planning on the part of management. We were told our car would be available in fifteen minutes so we proceeded down and joined at least another fifty to seventy five families waiting. It had to be known how many would be checking out that morning and should have been planned for. Not Marriott standards.

The Margaritaville Hotel Nashville was the perfect last minute choice. We recieved a pleasant confirmation call updating us on the covid restrictions and regulations. Upon our arrival we were greeted by Ashlee. While checking us in she informed us about the hotel amenities, the open surrounding attractions, and excellent resturant recommendations. Ashlee was able to quickly and swiftly solve a small mishap without interrupting my birthday vacation. Round of applause for Ashlee's OUTSTANDING customer service! The hotels tropical decor is beautiful and unique from the margarita glass chandelier adorning the mezzanine to the inspiring water lover quotes written on driftwood by each elevator. We had the pleasure of staying in the lovely large King Suite. Its beachy decor was calming and relaxing. The king size bed and bedding made for a perfect nights rest. Our room had an amazing view of the pool and Nashville city skyline. We took full advantage of the beautiful weather by going to the pool daily. The pool is in the best location for sunbathing, relaxing, swimming, or snacking on delicious snacks whiie listening to the live band playing at night. Sirius radio plays catchy tunes all day, you will find yourself humming as you walk around the hotel. There is no wait at the valet. If you are addicted to coffee Starbucks is on the first floor and open until 2pm. I could go on and on but seeing is believing. Book The Margaritaville Hotel and thank me later.

Granted it was a new hotel and perhaps some kinks were still being worked out, but I wouldn't stay here again. The staff in particular were a disaster. There was no one to greet you at the curb when you drove up. I waited 5 minutes by the valet stand before going to the front desk for assistance. Turns out the two people working valet were sitting at a table inside relaxing instead of maning their post. I was given a card with a number to text so they could retrieve my car while heading down downstairs any time I needed to leave, but the text function never worked during my stay. The front desk staff wasn't much better. One employee told me she couldn't help me because she wasn't clocked in. My room was not ready at check in time, and they provided no estimate of when it would be ready, though they did offer to check my bags. They ended up changing my room because the one I selected during online checkin was still waiting to be cleaned. Housekeeping knocked on my room door at 11:10AM the day of my departure asking what time we were leaving even though check out wasn't until 12PM. Part of my rationale for selecting this hotel was because it was new, so I thought it would still be clean. There was a stain on the counter, the ledge and body wash dispenser in the shower were dirty (and empty), and there was a Qtip on the floor left from the previous guest. The bathroom was so small you couldn't use the toilet or shower without closing the door, and there is no exhaust fan. The water pressure was weak, and the shower head didn't have adjustable settings. There were loud noises between 3 and 4AM, and constant door slamming throughout the night. We could hear a couple arguing through their room door as we walked by. There was also construction either in the room above, below or next to ours judging by the ongoing sounds of a drill. Our stay included breakfast which was just ok. The eggs were not even close to warm, and the donut was cold like it was fresh out of the refrigerator. On the positive side, it was a good size room with plenty of counter space, blackout blinds, a nice full length mirror, and a large tv that swivels. The beverages in the lobby throughout the day was a nice touch, but it would be better if there were options for non-coffee drinkers as well. They had hot water, but lemonade or tea would be a nice addition.

We arrived the day that the country started shutting down due to the virus, but thankfully everything at the Tru was running fine. It appeared the hotel was a full occupancy, but the staff was able to keep up with the large breakfast crowds. I wish the room had a little more space for clothing/luggage. I guess Tru is geared to Millennials that do not pack much or only stay in the room 1 day, next time i would probably stay at the Home2 side of the building for a multiple day trip. Tru's seem to be better suited for a 1 night visit.

The 120 year old Historic Union Station hotel ia former train station) is a true gem in the heart of downtown Nashville. While part of the Marriott branch, it has the uniqueness and intimacy of a smaller boutique. The lobby's soaring stained glass ceilings and elegant chandeliers take you back to another era. The staff of the hotel provided us a truly personal touch. Shout out especially to managers, Chris and Bayley and Jackie at the front desk for exceptional customer service. Each room in the hotel is unique and we were fortunate to stay in a suite on the 4 floor. The room was spacious and comfortable and the decor modern and welcoming. We were here for our anniversary and the Union Station was the perfect choice for a special celebration. Being right on Broadway it has a central and excellent location where you can walk to all the entertainment, bars and restaurants.

So, pictures are very deceptive. I booked this thinking it was a decent hotel at a low price. We pull up and there's sketchy people everywhere, a handful of police officers were in somebody's doorway right next to the front office... We go to check in and the lady at front is still new, and she was nice and I have no issue with how she handled anything. But we were checking in and we weren't told our room number, we had to ask for it. Room 300. So they tell us and we go up there and are APPALLED. Mold in the shower, dirty toilet, run down cabinets, fire alarm going out, everything is just really gross. We try to sit for 10 minutes to see if we can deal with it and it's just disgusting. So we go back down and let them know the state of that room and they had "accidentally" gave us that room. A room shouldn't even BE in that condition. SO they brought us to another room with our bed requirements and it STANK of smoke and weed and was absolutely horrifying. I could barely breathe in there. He told us- "That's all I can do". He told us to pick between a room with mold and safety issues or one drenched in weed. And remember this place has a no smoking policy. I just don't see how you as a manager can comfortably show these rooms to people who are paying you to stay there. We asked for our money back because we could barely stand to be there and he said sorry there's nothing we can do because you booked through a third party. So I got ahold of this third party and they have no record of me buying through them. Then I went through the site where I booked them- because it wasn't direct, but was not the place he said I did it through- and showed them pictures and they're trying to get ahold of them, but to no answer. Super sketch and super disgusting. Literally have never been to a place worse and you'd have to see it to believe it. I just can't believe they showed us those rooms and said sorry, you can leave but you don't get your money back. And we left! We went to a local Hilton that was MUCH better and up to health codes and standards. Unfortunately I did not catch this manager's name.

Great location in downtown Nashville! We visited in July, so due to COVID there was not much going on in Nashville, but we were only staying for a night to break up a long road trip. The hotel was in walking distance to several local restaurants and places of interest. The kids LOVED the spacious outdoor pool area upstairs, as well as, the large hot tub. I used the gym and it was perfect for my daily bike ride and run.

My husband and I stayed here for our tenth anniversary, and it was definitely memorable! We had to change rooms twice, once because the AC didn't work, and once because the ceiling was leaking. However, the beds were super comfortable, and the atrium, pool, and fitness rooms were great. The restaurant has very good food and great atmosphere. Everyone, especially the lady that worked the front desk in the mornings, was very nice, and we got moved quickly and easily both times. I would recommend staying here to anyone, though it seems the hotel could really use some updating. We would stay here again.

We stayed here March 6 and March 7 2020 coincidentally right after the tornado. It was an excellent stay. The lady at desk was genuinely friendly. I wish I remembered her name. All staff we met were very professional and nice. The motel and our room was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was good and plentiful. Since there was the tornado and there was damage close by there were supplies that had been donated stacked neatly in the lobby to be distributed. That made me glad. In addition, when we were checking out there was a family who had been impacted by the tornado checking in. The desk clerk again was so kind. I heard her tell the lady that they would take good care of her family. I do believe they would!

Short walk to Broadway but if you are looking for great BBQ, look no further than across the street at Martin's. Valet is $40/day so if staying for a few days perhaps look for parking nearby. Our room's AC was not fully functioning, and we asked to have it looked at twice to no avail, but we are not squeaky wheels so we just dealt with it. The Staff at the front desk was super friendly and would have moved us if we asked, but we had unpacked everything and settled in before we noticed, so we didn't ask.

Great hotel. Very well kept, modern with nice beds. Breakfast and all but 1 worker were pleasant. The lady that cleans the food up after breakfast seemed to be having a bad day. We got down there just before they closed so I was putting some food on my plate. I left the lid open and went to grab another plate. As I do that she is grabbing the service utensils to clean them up. I asked her to hang on a sec and she just looks and me and turns away. Later on as I a was eating we got the pleasant "go away" stare. I get she has a job to do but at least let me finish getting my food before you try to take everything away. They close at 9:30, give me until then please.

Noelle is the kind of hotel that feels like home with a staff that feels like family. From the grandiose lobby to the cozy archives, from a surprise "anti-Valentine's" party at the Hidden Bar to sunsets by the fire at the RareBird rooftop bar, there is an adventure or a comfort around every turn. The hotel has become my ritual: in the morning, Sump coffee at Drug Store Cafe and in the evening, a visit to the luxurious gym or Netflix via screenshare in my bed. After dozens of stays, I have yet to see Noelle's gold accents lose their lustre nor its historical homages lose their charm. I fear that I won't know how much my time at Noelle has meant to me until I no longer walk feel the sense of calm and delight wash over me upon entering the lobby and being greeted by genuine hospitality. Which brings me to the hardest goodbye of all: Noelle's staff. When I first arrived late on a Sunday night, anxious for a work week ahead, it was Tye and Denise who soothed me, treating me like the friends we would soon become. Upstairs, a fresh cheese plate and a card with a personal note awaited me as if they knew exactly what I needed to feel supported on my first night in a new city. I never imagined that my offhand comment to Denise and Tye about doing a girls' night with my best friend a month later would be remembered, and that a chilled bottle of champagne would await us she we arrived. A few weeks later, Tye beckoned me behind the front desk to watch a video of a marriage proposal during Nashville's tornado. I watch, moved and transfixed, while Tye moves effortlessly between checking in guests and filling me in on details. It wasn't until later that I found out the woman in the video was a recent guest at the hotel, and that not only did Tye open her welcoming arms in the midst of the city's trauma, but she has been organizing care packages and donation support for her family ever since. I will never forget on the morning of the Nashville Tornado when I came downstairs, in barely sound enough state to rise from bed, to find that each and every staff member had driven miles to be there serving hot breakfast and checking on their guests. Isaac at Drug Store Café, who had been up all night only a few hundred feet from the twister, not only remembered my order by heart but offered to give it to me on the house when I dazedly couldn't find my card. Over the weeks, I've seen the staff look after one another with just as genuine a care as the guests. Seeing Tye and Denise expertly coach Alexandria, Hayley and other new staff, or the whole team work together when I mistakenly sent a tub of ice cream to the hotel instead of to my office (I can't imagine their self-restraint!) has been an unexpected joy. I never imagined that as a business traveller, I could find such a home away from home and a family in this talented, professional, and deeply committed team. Hotel is in a great location, with good quality rooms. The one bed suite has a full kitchen and separate living area. The only slightly strange thing is that there is no AC in the bedroom, just the living area, so it was 2-3 degrees warmer in the bedroom. Breakfast range was good, and actually served with real cutlery and plates instead of plastic like most hotels - kudos for looking after the environment Residence Inn. Jeanna Cacciatore on reception was really helpful with everything we needed, as were all other staff we met. And when we had to leave early to fly home, the hotel were incredibly accommodating. Nice hotel, good location, big comfortable rooms, nice staff. What could go wrong? As I walked into the lobby I was overwhelmed by an awful Air Freshener of some sort. I don't necessarily have a sensitivity to fragrances and chemicals but this was so strong I could taste it. I literally was trying to hold my breath so I wouldn't inhale as much. In the morning I came down for breakfast and once again was overwhelmed by the intensity of the lobby air freshener. Needless to say, eating in that atmosphere was out of the question. Likewise, while waiting for my car service I could not stay in the lobby and had to wait outside. I cannot imagine how bad this could be for someone with asthma or other auto immune issues. Made my eyes sting it was so heavy in the air!

Liked · The location was great and easily walkable to the main downtown attractions, yet far enough removed to be quiet. The beds were comfortable. A kind gentleman working in the lobby noticed we were lost and pointed my husband and I in the direction of Bakersfield (a nearby restaurant/bar), which had wonderful appetizers and drinks. Disliked · I rarely ever leave a bad review but this Hampton disappointed me on numerous levels. Upon check in the desk clerk had the nightly charge at about $100 more than we expected to pay. He had already assigned us a room and had keys layed out with our 6th floor room clearly marked. When I mentioned that the room rate was incorrect and not what I was expecting he had no idea that our reservation was even booked through Booking.com. He fixed the rate error but then assigned us a new room on the 2nd floor. For a hotel that went through the effort to add stickers claiming that the room had been sanitized, our room was gross. There was a tissue and a pill wrapper in the bathroom trash from the previous guest as well as easily cleaned up makeup all over the side table next to the sofa. The "desk lamp" was non existent, but the base was there with exposed wires hanging out of the top. We aren't sure what was smeared and dripped down the ottomans but were afraid to touch it. The business center had 2 computers. One was unplugged and inoperable. The other was unable to get online and gave error messages. When I asked at the front desk about it, I was told that they were aware and could print boarding passes or tickets for me, which was kind of them, but I was hoping to log in to complete some work that didn't require printing. Upon checkout, we were told that the valet employee was unable to bring our car down from the garage because he hadn't shown up to work and we'd have to go get it ourselves. Not a huge issue, just inconvenient and at $39 a night to park, I'd think they would have more than 1 valet employee working on the weekend.

This property is not as nice as most Country Inn and Suites. It's a bit worn and tired. Our bathroom had a section that hadn't even been painted! The commode seat wiggled enough to make you think it might fall off. Be prepared to have your credit or debit card charged a damage deposit. If you live in Tennessee it's $75; out of state it's $50. Also, if you're going to need a hairdryer be sure and pick one up at the front desk. There aren't any in the rooms! I've never had to do this at any other CI&S, and I have stayed at many. If I return to Nashville I will certainly try a different property.

My wife and I were celebrating her birthday last week, and Nashville was where she wanted to go (I certainly didn't mind though). We checked in on Wednesday March 4 for three nights. My first thought of the lobby area was it reminded me of the Contemporary Hotel in Disney World minus the monorail running through it. Our early check-in went smoothly as our room was already available, and it was one facing the park, as we requested. Regarding the room itself, it was overall clean and spacious. Next door at Bridgestone Arena, there was a concert the first evening, a hockey game the next evening, and another concert the last evening. We did hear their noise, but glad we didn't also hear all the music from the other side (rooms facing Broadway). Our check-out experience went well too with no discrepancies in our final bill. For breakfasts, we enjoyed the buffet in the lobby. It was nothing spectacular, but still had all the usual breakfast foods. Our only issue came with the coffee shop where on Thursday March 5, it didn't open until after 7am. It was an issue as we are early risers and were specifically told they opened 6am weekdays. Regardless, I would certainly consider staying here again the next time we're in town.

A perfectly fine hotel for those who may be in town for a few days and looking for a bit of room to spread out. In our case, we booked a two-bedroom suite for us and two members of the family. We got a quiet, immaculate, conveniently located space with an attached, well-lit (paid) parking garage. Here's what I liked. A comfortable lobby. Friendly, professional, responsive service. An above-average buffet breakfast and a spacious dining area. High-quality towels and bedding. Good water pressure in the shower. Lots of plugs for all those chargers we travel with these days. TVs in all three rooms. Electrically operated privacy shades as well as room-darkening drapes. A well-equipped kitchen. Gripes are pretty minimal. Oddly, the sitting area had no lights so if you wanted to do some night reading, you had to sit in one of the dining chairs or the one desk chair. The shower could have used a grab bar. Unlike the others in my family, I had an issue with accessing wifi, though an unlimited data plan on my cell phone easily solved that. That's about it. Bottom line, this was an excellent choice and one we'll likely return to the next time we're in Nashville.

Because I only stayed for one day, I live near the airport, in order to catch the plane. It is nothing special. The breakfast at the hotel was free, and the breakfast at the standard small hotel was quite good. It was too early to arrive, could not stay, ate a breakfast, and left the luggage to go out. The hotel is quite a lot of people living, and it feels more popular than the general airport hotel. Not far from the city center, how much money was forgotten by taxi. Overall it is quite good. The city is a city of country music, many related museums can be seen, there are theaters, and the lively city can not do it - all bars or music, the street has a special car on the parade, the car is lively Young people are singing and jumping, or percussion instruments.

I had the unexpected pleasure of staying at the Green Hills Hilton. It was a business trip so I didn't expect it to be anything but work--I couldn't even pop over to the really tremendous mall, but what made my trip so special--besides the large room, all the TV channels, perfect pillows and good bath products was the staff! Especially Teresa Najar. Even before I arrived I spoke to her on the phone and no one could be more personable and helpful. Plus she has a tremendous voice! She should be doing voice-overs. She provided me with extra coffee (no housekeeping if you don't want it during these scary times), towels, and her warm humanity. She was funny, sweet, and for that reason mostly, I will always stay here when I'm in town.

We had a good weekend at this hotel. It was easy to catch a uber to anywhere in town. The hotel had everything we needed. The staff was friendly and efficient. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The grounds were nice and well kept. I fully intend to return.

Stayed here right outside Nashville for a couple nights. The owner was so friendly and helpful! I felt welcomed. He addressed all my concerns and the room was clean and comfortable. Although they didn’t have a breakfast in the morning, he did have coffee brewing in the lobby in the mornings. Would recommend for an affordable place out of the mayhem of downtown!

We spent two nights a week ago traveling for fun as a couple. It was a fantastic experience from our initial contact (the hotel actually called to see if we needed anything for a smooth trip or arrival about a week before we got there, which was a nice touch), to the check in with Elliot who was very helpful and friendly, and then all the way through our stay to our check out. Ellington's has a terrific happy hour and outdoor deck - Wonderful cocktails and appetizers (go for the pimento cheese to wash down with a nice dry martini!). The room is absolutely fantastic. We stayed in a Cherry Suite which is a big larger and has everything you will need. The beds and pillows are very comfortable, and the bathroom large. Morning coffee is excellent in the lobby. The location is terrific - right next to Painter's Alley and a few blocks from Broadway and other sites. The developer and designer did a great job of making a new hotel feel truly vintage. Valet parking is a great way to go. We even had to leave around 5:30 am for the airport, so we called the night before to make sure we could access our car, and they had it pulled up waiting for us. Overall, you can't go wrong staying here. We will make The Fairlane our Nashville hotel for sure!

The location is just off the I24 road, free parking, good breakfast, cost-effective, suitable for car rental friends. Of course, if there is a team to stay, it will be noisy. Near the road, friends who are light should consider sleep problems.
