0.1km from VAL DOThis hotel has the best location. It's in the center of everything - next to McDonald's & across Galeries Lafayette. 1 km long shopping street Rue St. Catherine is next door. So many food and dining choices. Grand Theatre, Cours D'Intendance, Place de la Bourse are nearby. On the day we checked in, the road was closed to traffic -apparently on weekends. I dragged all our luggage thru several blocks of cobblestone road. I did not expect to suffer. All receptionists were welcoming and helpful. Room & bath interiors were very contemporary. Clean. Fine linens for bed and bath. Good quality toiletries. Nice shower. Generally safe and secure. I discovered too late that our room was left unlocked for almost the entire stay. It needed to be locked manually. Our things remained safe nonetheless. Breakfast spread is decent with healthy options. 5 kinds of Kusmi tea, coffee machine. Breakfast bulldog mural didn't really work. We opted to eat our take away dinner in the breakfast room due to lack of space and chairs in our room. TV, free wifi. The room was really small. Table counter is attached to the window. Inadequate room & bathroom lighting. Extra steps needed to reach our room. Extra annoying to carry our luggage to room. Small uneven carpeted steps unsafe for seniors. I requested a transfer but to no avail. Young quirky interiors gave off a weird vibe. Bedroom wall graphics darken the room. Everyday, the cleaning & housekeeping supplies cart blocked our narrow hallway. Awkward and scary to fit ourselves into a tiny space, just a railing with grills & gaping holes.

0.16km from VAL DOCost-effective. The location is very good, PAUL and McDonald's are near the street, it takes less than 1 minute to walk. Lafayette is also very close. Within 3 minutes. Tourist Information, Grand Theatre, tram station is also very close, walk about 5 minutes to . Be aware that Bordeaux has a pedestrian zone and the car cannot go directly to the hotel entrance. Hotel facilities have a Nespresso coffee machine, shampoo and conditioner, unlike other hotels only all-in-one. Note that the bathtub is a bit high. Breakfast costs $15 euro. Consider buying city day pass, 24 hours $29 euro. Pack the wine museum (tickets $20 euro) and some entrance tickets and public transportation (tickets $4.7 euro). If you go to the wine museum, the value for money.

0.21km from VAL DOThe entrance of this hotel in Bordeaux is small, it is only a single door, in the back streets, there are one-way streets that cannot turn around and are difficult to drive. Long parking is not allowed. Self-driving cars have to stop and walk for five minutes in the underground public parking lot of Bordeaux Exchange Square , 25 Euro a night. The hotel has its own restaurant, the front desk and other pictures are quite different from what is provided online. They are actually simple and all self-service. The accommodation only gives a very retro key, which must be handed over to the front desk every time you go out. The elevator in the hotel is very small, the room is small, the bed in the triple room is small, and the bathroom is also small. The room has a double-layered window that can be opened, carpet floor, good hygiene, and complete toiletries. Do not open the windows at night, because outside is a garbage dump, it is very noisy in the middle of the night, and there are always loud noises of loading and unloading. The hotel is close to major attractions on foot, low cost performance, not suitable for parent-child travel.
0.24km from VAL DOA good choice for a trip when you don’t have your own transport, as the hotel is right opposite the tourist information office and close to many attractions. It is also an easy tram trip from the main rail station to the Quinconces stop just across the road from the hotel. Our room was very pleasant, street-facing with large opening windows for fresh air. Very little traffic noise with the windows closed, even though on quite a busy street. The bathroom was modern with twin basins, a good powerful shower (but no bath) and a separate WC. There are rooms with baths. Breakfast was 19.50 euros - comparatively expensive, but a very good choice of mostly cold items. Smoked salmon, hams, dried sausage, cheeses, crunchy French rolls, cereals, cakes and pastries, plus plenty of fresh fruit and yoghurts. Nespresso coffee machine. Breakfast being available until 11 am and noon checkout were also good points. Reception staff we met were polite, pleasant and efficient. Would certainly stay again.
0.26km from VAL DOThe location is acceptable, in the central area of Bordeaux, 500 meters walk after getting off the airport bus, the gate entrance is on the side of the street, easy to find, arrive at more than 10 o'clock in the evening, there are many people at the entrance of the bar, and feel safe. The rooms are small, with good hygiene, comfortable bedding and average breakfast. The front desk was good, and the taxi was booked, a better experience.

0.28km from VAL DOThis hotel is perfectly located for walking around the historic district, for accessing any boat or bus tours and the Tourist office. There are plenty of good restaurants nearby. We took a taxi from and to the train station because we had luggage, however the metro stop is very near the hotel. We stayed here for two nights and then visited Saintes for a few days and returned to this hotel for our last night. The staff during the week were very helpful and friendly. The man on duty Sunday was not very helpful with our questions (however, he did arrange a taxi for us for 3 a.m. to the airport). Breakfast was not above average, but good enough, and it was nice to not have to go out looking for a meal in the morning. We had a room that looked out to a back alley. It was a decent sized room with a comfortable bed and a nice bathroom. Although there were windows, you could not open them at night, to cool down the room, due to the smell and noise from nearby restaurants and streets. With the windows closed the room was very quiet. Perhaps a room facing the street in front of the hotel would be better if one likes fresh air. We did not spend a lot of time in the hotel - so much to see in Bordeaux and so little time! - but I would recommend this hotel for those wanting a nice, clean hotel with a great location and friendly, helpful staff.

Hotels Near Val Do In Bordeaux Review
Breakfast is very good. The chef orders it now: omelet, shredded cheese, vegetables, mushrooms, etc. It's great. Other kinds of bread, fresh juice coffee tea. Meat has sausages, bacon. Peach apple, cantaloupe, pineapple and other fruits, a kind of Danone fruit yoghurt. All in all, including early value

I initially selected this hotel due to their website video and the location. I could not have been happier with my choice - for a solo female traveller this delightful place was absolutely perfect for my stay! A gorgeous and very well equipped little apartment for one, with a beautiful courtyard to relax with a coffee or glass of wine. I felt completely comfortable for my entire 5 night stay. I can't fault the staff, especially Lisa! They were so welcoming and friendly throughout my stay. I am not a person to ever return to the same place twice, however, should I return to Bordeaux, I can only see me booking my apartment again. Why would I want to stay anywhere else?!!
The city center is located across the river, but it is easily accessible by tram, boat, etc. The parking lot was in the basement of Super Carrefour next to the hotel and was spacious. There was a supermarket next to the hotel, so it was very convenient. There is a little distance to Citedvan, but I think you should use a boat. It was also in the range of rental kick boards and rental bicycles, so I was able to use it from the front of the hotel. The rooms are clean and easy to use and the cost performance is very good.

A charming little place, clean and very comfortable, walking distance to the old part of Bordeaux with lots of bars and restaurants. Our bedroom was a large room with shower and toilet to the side, part of the room. Bit quirky but character. A warm welcome but be sure to let them know time of arrival as there is no reception as such. Breakfast was light, continental but fresh. Lovely place for a couple of nights
My wife and I had a wonderful weekend here in November 2019. I chose this place for 3 reasons: (1) the room/suite on the website looked excellent and at a good price; (2) we wanted somewhere close to Le Rocher de Palmer concert hall (we had tickets to see Lloyd Cole [he was great]); (3) the owners were happy to allow us to check in early as our flight arrived in Bordeaux at 8.30am – I asked if it would be ok to check in at 10am and they said ‘no problem’. In fact, we arrived even earlier – at 9.30am – and they were there with a basket of fresh croissants to welcome us – even though, technically, we had not paid for breakfast that morning. Sylvie and Sebastian, who own/manage the guesthouse, are a lovely couple. They are extremely welcoming, very generous [they drove us to the airport when we were leaving because it was a holiday in Bordeaux and all the taxis had ramped up their prices], and extremely thoughtful. The suite was stunning – we chose the Aquitaine suite – everything very new and stylish, and the bed was, possibly, the most comfortable we had slept in! Little touches like macarons made by their friend really added to the experience. Breakfast with home-made jams and granola, fresh bread and croissants was first rate. The house is stunning – they have clearly spent a lot of money and time on its refurbishment. It’s a 3-minute walk to the tram, which seems to come every 5 minutes, and just 4 stops into the centre of Bordeaux and 3 stops to Le Rocher de Palmer. And it feels like an oasis of calm and style – Bordeaux centre, we found, can be very busy and noisy. The house, being a bit removed, felt like a very welcoming and comfortable escape. We thought it a great choice for a weekend break and would definitely stay there again – and recommend it to any of our friends. I give it five stars.

This is a lovely property which has been beautifully restored. The setting is very gracious as are the staff who are very earnest and helpful. It is on a residential street a few blocks from the central tourist district of the city. The breakfast was delightful. We found two drawbacks. While the location is not too far from the beginning of the central area, it is a good distance from a major portion of it and from many of the restaurants. Fortunately Bordeaux has a very efficient Uber operation which is very responsive and reasonably priced so this was a minor inconvenience. The second is that the room reserved for us was located on the troisieme etage (or what American would think of as the fourth floor) of a building with lovely high ceilings but without elevator service. Unfortunately one of us has medical limitations that prohibit that climb. The staff were able to relocate us to a ground level garden room which was described as being of the same grade as the reserved room but was decidedly more cramped and less gracious. We were very disappointed. For many this hotel is a delightful choice but I believe that anyone who may have physical limitations should make careful inquiry about the particular accommodations being booked.

The hotel has excellent service! (due to covid-19 the wine-cellar could not deliver the wines to the hotel, called the hotel who sent staff to pick it up instead so we did not have to carry the wine around) - Truly excellent service! Sweet touches with calling beforehand to enquire if there are any special needs, sweet welcome in the room etc. Great facilities, amazing garden with a brilliant pool you don't want to leave. Room was spacious and cool with a little balcony.(a small thing and depending on taste: Not a fan of not having closed bathroom, with shower in the room and little privacy for being "in the bathroom".) To conclude, we wished we had stayed longer!
The room is relatively large. The location is convenient. I have stayed 2 times. The price is very high. This is the business itinerary. The customer is also very satisfied. The breakfast is not very rich. But the stove in the house can be cooked with instant noodles.
Breakfast 12 Euro / bit, relatively simple, but balanced nutrition, bread, fruit, milk, coffee, tea, eggs, yogurt. The room is ok, two large beds, a balcony facing the small lake, the room has simple kitchen utensils, you can cook, there is a supermarket downstairs. In the evening, we also made hot pot on the balcony. Of course, ingredients and induction cookers should be purchased in Chinese supermarkets. The bathroom area is also OK, the bath water is very hot, and it is quite uncomfortable for the fatigue of the day. The parking lot downstairs is also quite big, next to a small lake, running well in the morning. The overall surrounding environment is quiet and suitable for rest.

The Hotel de Seze is an outstanding choice for visiting Bordeaux. Location: The hotel is in the city center, about a fifteen minute taxi ride from the main train station and an easy walk to the main shopping and sightseeing areas; there are multiple cafes and restaurants in the immediate neighborhood. Rooms: The Seze is a boutique hotel with around 50 rooms, and appears to have been updated fairly recently. We booked a basic room, which was comfortable, but extremely small and overlooking an interior courtyard. As we were adjacent to an elevator, we asked to change rooms, and the staff kindly upgraded us to the next room category, which offered more space. The bedding was extremely comfortable, and the bathroom fixture and amenities were excellent. One quirk: As is typical in France, the bathroom and toilet are separate. The toilet did not have its own sink, however, so you have to traipse across the room to wash your hands in the bathroom. Amenities: WiFi is free, and worked quite well. We didn't use the spa or any of the other facilities. We did have breakfast, which includes two options: coffee, juice, and pastry for 10 euros, or a buffet including fruit, cereal, pastry, eggs, and cold cuts for 20 euros - both a reasonable deal and of good quality compared with what you'd get at most cafes. Service: Staff members were genuinely helpful and accommodating. Check-in was fast and pleasant, and the woman at the front desk volunteered a map and highlighted interesting areas of the city to visit. Staff did their best to help when we asked for late check-out on our departure. Overall, the Hotel de Seze is a great boutique property, and was the perfect base for our time in Bordeaux.
The fact that this hotel is so new and represents extremely good value for money means that I can forgive its limitations and generally pretty basic amenities. It's close to the main railway station and the nearest tram stop is only some 5 minutes' walk away, so you can get to the rest of the city pretty easily. It isn't the most inspiring of locations, being situated in an area that is being redeveloped, so at times you are likely to get some construction noise, but this is by no means continuous. The rooms are undeniably small, and the bathrooms particularly so, and storage space is minimal (no wardrobes, just a small clothes rail, and no drawers or even shelves on which to put stuff, so you will end up either leaving most of your clobber in your case, or simply leaving it on the floor, which isn't great. No complimentary toiletries, so bring your own; no tea/coffee making facilities. Our room was quite stuffy, so you may well end up leaving the window open, thus inviting in the odd biting insect. There isn't much in the way of public seating areas; just a small group of sofas around the TV in the reception area. The staff seemed okay and friendly enough. Breakfast is available for an add-on charge of 6.85 euros per day, and it's not at all bad (be warned that you would have a bit of a walk to find somewhere else as the immediate area isn't big on eating places). The breakfast room is quite small, so finding a place can be problematic at busy periods. There's a fairly basic choice (orange or 'mixed fruit' juice; just two cereals; scrambled egg and bacon the only hot options; plus various breads, croissants, and the like). Also, the 'view' from the breakfast room must be one of the least inspiring I've ever come across... So far, so basic - but we only paid the equivalent of £39 per head per night, so a stay here won't exactly break the bank. For a couple of nights or a long weekend, it's certainly worth considering (and it's one of the few hotels in Bordeaux which offers twin rooms rather than only doubles).
The hotel is not in the old town, but it is 15-20 minutes walk to the old town and there are trams at the door. Opposite the hotel is the riverside pedestrian commercial street, very interesting. The hotel is a small apartment hotel. The rooms are small but orderly. The kitchen is small but can still be cooked. There are basic cooking utensils and cups, cutlery and forks, as well as a dishwasher. Breakfast is 10.5 Euro and the quality is good, although there is no hot food. Peer friends feel that the hotel is very good.
Good location, less than ten minutes away from the train station, other transportation is very convenient, equipped with complete kitchen utensils, cooking is no problem. There are supermarkets around and it is convenient to buy things. A medium-sized Carrefour supermarket is less than ten minutes walking.

The facilities of the Samsung Express Hotel are in harmony with ibis. Google maps are navigated to the back door of the hotel. The room is small, the toilet is in a small cubicle, and the bathtub is small. From the airport, you can take the 1+ line to the palais de justice station and walk for a hundred or two meters. It is convenient to not have a chartered car or a taxi. About 1 km walk to Pepelan Square in the city centre.
Apart from being far from the city, there is no shortcoming. The indoor parking lot is full and can only be parked. The charge can be stopped for up to 4 hours. But on both sides, there are no cars and no police placards. It may be farther away.

A retro-style luxury hotel in the middle of the city, in the center of the city center, the opera house is outside the window, there are commercial areas around, there are many restaurants nearby, the service is good, the environment is clean and tidy, it is recommended!
Very recommended to stay, cost-effective, the environment is very good. Beautiful environment, good geographical location, convenient transportation, comfortable and sanitary rooms, service staff are very enthusiastic, facilities are very humane, high-speed network signal is good, the view outside the window is good. The design of the room's small pendulum is also very distinctive. Next time, check in.
The location of Pull*** is about 15-20 minutes drive from the city center, but the tram in Bordeaux is very convenient. On the one hand, the frequency is very frequent, and the price is very reasonable. You can buy a 24-hour for $4-$5. Full-day pass, unlimited rides. The hotel room is clean and tidy, the space is moderate, the facilities are quite large, the pool table, the pool, the piano, the breakfast is also good. If time permits, I am willing to choose a hotel that is farther away from the city center, affordable and relatively new. In addition, there is a small-sized casino on the side of the hotel. The main game is to play slot machines, but the scale cannot be compared with the casinos in Macau. It is just one more night entertainment destination.
There are so many fantastic things to say about this place! It’s not just beautiful and comfortable, but the staff was outstanding. I’ll start with the latter. My husband had the unfortunate luck of falling ill during our time there. They were quick to accommodate and find us a driver to bring us back from our Sunday group tour in St. Emilian, which was 40 minutes away. Once we returned, they offered to find us a doctor and checked-in with us frequently to see how he was feeling, even after we’d checked out. They were always available even on Sunday. It’s hard to get this sort of attention from a regular hotel or hotel staff, and it was very comforting to have had that when one of us wasn’t feeling 100%. We are so grateful for the extra attention. As far as the B&B itself, we stayed in one of the top rooms. The pictures online made it seem so beautiful, so we compromised on a building without a lift and it was so worth it. All of the rooms were nicely spread out so that it felt private, and the room was well-equipped with all amenities, including a filtered water pitcher so that we weren’t pinned to the bottled water in the fridge. There was additional information in the room with restaurant recommendations and other suggestions to make the most of our visit, and that helped us plan some parts of our stay. It was conveniently located, so we were also able to rent bicycles from them one of the days and explore the town on our own. The breakfasts were great, fresh and generous. We had an early start before breakfast one day, and they prepared a bagged breakfast for us to take with us on our excursion. I simply can’t say enough good things about this B&B and the staff, and I highly recommend it. Everything about it was perfect despite our own personal hiccup!
The room is a bit small and the parking is convenient

The hotel is excellent! We booked 2 rooms for 3 nights and we both thought the rooms were great (small but functions perfectly!) very comfortable beds, great showers, super clean, tidy and all necessary items in the room - hairdryer, shower gel, wardrobe, safe etc. Breakfast is a good selection of boiled eggs, breads, cheese, pastries, crepes, coffee/teas, juice at a really good price. The location is brilliant, near Place Gambetta just on the edge of the old city pedestrian streets. We were right beside all the main sights and the longest walk we had to get to a particular restaurant was 14mins. Highly recommended for a great city break.

Catch up the parade, go out from the train station, spent more than 30 euros taxi to the hotel. The heart is bleeding. There are several Chinese restaurants nearby, which taste good. A few steps away is the tram stop, which is convenient for transportation.
Stayed here as the final stop of our mini tour of the Bordeaux region as a base for exploring the city. As the review title says, everything was pretty much perfect and we were delighted with our stay. The hotel is modern and finished with class. Fixtures and fittings are high quality and everything worked perfectly. Staff were helpful and enthusiastic. Room service was prompt and of a very high standard. The location is perfect for exploring the city, being just off the river, 100m from a tram stop and a 15-20 min walk from all the major sights. The only slight issue we had was when the fire alarm went off due to a kitchen problem at around midnight on one night and the shift staff could not work out how to turn it off for around 45 mins. However, mistakes happen and we were left some beautiful canales and a thoughtful note the next day to apologise. Perfectly dealt with, just like everything else. Highly recommended!
We stayed two nights in Mauriac in July and were so happy with the reception we received from our host, Pierre. He did everything to make our stay easy and comfortable. The room is perfect - private deck, great bed and shower - and he tailored breakfast to my dietary restrictions. Breakfast on the deck was perfect, varied and delicious. Very good coffee. The hotel itself is setback from Rue Borie so that our room was actually in the interior of the city block meaning NO STREET NOISE whatsoever. That is fantastic because streets in old Bordeaux are narrow and vehicle noise can be really lirritating. We had a rental car that was no problem, since we reserved a spot in the garage. Up the street is the other wine museum of Bordeaux where you can get terrific recommendations on wines to buy from the staff and at all price points. On Rue Notre Dame there is a great Hawaiian coffee shop, a cool bar, a real Mexican restaurant, a millenial hardware store and maybe the best bread bakery in Bordeaux. L'esprit de Chartron is the perfect place to stay to enjoy all of this.

We enjoyed our stay at this boutique hotel. The room décor was extremely cool, and the room was well-designed. We had a balcony overlooking a quiet street. You need to punch in a code to enter the hotel at night. The staff were extremely helpful. They helped us select restaurants, and were able to advise based on first-hand knowledge. They even phoned the restaurant to book a table for us. We also wanted to visit the nearby town of St Emilion. We asked the staff member for help, as the rail journey did not seem to be direct. She mapped out our options, including a half-day tour, which we eventually chose, as it was the best value in terms of time and money. She booked the tour for us, the driver collected us from the hotel on time, and we spent a very enjoyable afternoon wandering and wine-tasting in St Emilion. On our last day, the staff booked our taxi for the morning, and followed up to check that it was on its way. The hotel is in a charming stone building and has a beautiful courtyard garden. Although it is a fair distance from the station (about 15 minutes by taxi), it is very comfortable and stylish and I would highly recommend it.

A good choice for a trip when you don’t have your own transport, as the hotel is right opposite the tourist information office and close to many attractions. It is also an easy tram trip from the main rail station to the Quinconces stop just across the road from the hotel. Our room was very pleasant, street-facing with large opening windows for fresh air.
The hotel is quite far from the train station. Large rooms, clean. Very convenient facilities. Contacting the housekeeping is very difficult to check in. Not having to call, have to call the central contact number. Calls very hard. Must allow the person who is speaking French to be very difficult to contact before staying
