|1.34km from city centerAttended this hotel after booking due to lovely looking pictures. Was very disappointed on arrival. Firstly, the outside makes the hotel look awful, it’s situated above some shops and has a huge billboard attached to it. Once inside the lift is terrible and was shocked to find you had to manually close the doors. Once inside room found it to be very run down. Headboard was scratched severely and parts were broken, aircon was very outdated and looked dirty, wardrobe didn’t shut properly and a couple of other issues. The main issue though was definitely the bathroom. On *********** no pictures of bathrooms are shown and it is obviously why. They are horrible. They’re so outdated, sink was stained, toilet sloped, shower and bath were horrible with a nasty shower curtain (looked so bad I didn’t even use it). Will say the bathroom looked clean but it was so stained and old I felt dirty using it. One bonus was that sheets were clean which made the stay bearable for one night. But just be aware this hotel now looks nothing like the pictures advertised.

Rooms are spacious enough but some of them are located over a street with a night club and are very noisy all night (especially lower floors) - this has to be mentioned at check in to relevant customers. Staff is very friendly and helpful - especially at reception. Rooms cleaning needs some improvement as some negligence showed and called for our intervention. Breakfast is great, large choice and comfortable dining room including outdoor seating Fitness center is quite small and at basement - could have been located on an upper floor facing the old city - would be wonderful

Positive points: - The breakfast offers a wide variety of options suitable for different dietary needs. - The hotel is generally clean and maintained to an acceptable standard. - The location of the hotel is convenient, being well situated in relation to the city center. Negative points: - The first room had a noisy ventilation system in the bathroom, which would only stop after 10-15 minutes of turning off the lights. Additionally, the showerhead was broken, and the water pressure was barely noticeable. - The wifi provided by the hotel was often unstable or unreliable. A suggested tip was to use a personal hotspot connection from a phone for better connectivity. - There was a lack of shower gel in the provided toiletries, with mostly shampoos available, which was inconvenient for showering. The staff was helpful. If I could, I would rate it 3.5 out of 5.

|9.24km from city centerStopped here in a King Suite with my husband for 2 nights, visiting family and was seriously impressed. The room was bigger than most of the flats I've ever owned! Everywhwere was kept clean and we really liked the fact that there were sofas on each floor if you wanted to relax/have a drink/wait for lift. LOL, Not that we're lazy. Every member of staff we came into contact with were helpful, friendly and courteous. Don't expect a full English or American breakfast though, it's traditional fare. Everything we had was fresh and flavoursome - cold meats, salads, cheeses, etc. 10 minute walk to the metro and retail park. A fraction of the price of hotels in Bucharest and only 20 minutes on the metro into the city centre. Only 10 days to go before our next visit and cannot wait to get into the outdoor pool and top up our tans!

The food and service was excellent, the only minor faults for not giving five stars was the room was far to hot and not controlled well with the AC unit, so dread to think what it would be like in the summer months? The room service and bar shut far to early, so if you want to eat or drink later in the evening do it before coming back to the hotel. The staff were amazing, but keep hold of your plates at breakfast or they will be zoomed away!!

|0.45km from city centerMy teenage daughter and I stayed here recently for a quick getaway and were not disappointed in the least. From the moment the online reservation was made, the staff communuicated via email asking about airport trasnfers and tours as well as any other requests that we may have. Andrea, Alex and Christian all went out of their way to make our stay as pleasant as possible. From offering suggestions for things to do, restaurants to eat at or just basic conversation about the area, all of them were extremely helpful and never seemed too busy to chat. We also enjoyed seeing the resident cat, Tom, hanging about in the lobby. We had the Nautica room and found it to be both comfortable and spacious. The bed provided a good night's sleep and the room darkening shades almost worked too well. Other reviews have commented on noise from outside being too loud but we did not really have any issues. We did hear some noise from the restaurant downstairs but most of it was over by 10pm and we never did hear any nightclub noises, however we were not there over a weekend. My only criticism of the room (and this is a personal issue) was that the theme of the room allowed for a window to be placed between the bedroom area and the bathroom such that someone using the toilet could be seen by anyone in the room from certain areas. It may be fine for a couple but as we were a mother-daughter, it was a bit awkward although we did find a solution and managed. Other rooms may not have this configuration. Breakfast was simple but good. Most days had the pretty much the same offerings but there were a few items changed each day so there was some variety. They arranged a private tour for us to visit Bran Castle, Peles Castle, and Brasov with a quick stop at Cantacuzino Castle where the Netflix series Wednesday was filmed. The locations themselves were nice to visit, but what made the tour the most fun for us was our tour guide, Serban. He was extremely energetic and well versed in the history of Romania. We could have booked a group tour, but Serban made the private so fun that it was well worth the extra expense. The location of the hotel is perfect for walking to most of the touristy things to do and some excellent restaurants. We will definitely stay here again when we return to Bucharest.

|2.44km from city centerWhen I arrived at Hotel Tranzzit there was absolutely nobody manning the desk. Granted, it was around 11pm, but the website lists no set check-in time limit (just that it begins at 2pm). I waited around 45 mins for someone to show up, and the person who did arrive was not very friendly or communicative. After some back and forth I was told that they had no record of my booking — however I had just received a phone call from them the day before (no message left) so they definitely had my information. The night receptionist showed me the personal information of everyone else staying there to ask if I was staying with those guests, which seemed like a breach of privacy. He asked if I had paid yet, and I said no, but he gave me the keys and let me into the room without paying. Very strange check-in experience. Overall, the room was not bad. Unfortunately I was in the room directly beside reception and you can hear absolutely everything, so I was awoken every day by the phone ringing or people chatting. The daytime receptionists were very friendly although did not speak English, and I made sure to pay for my stay in the morning. My room had one large bed, a closet, a bathroom, a window to an outdoor seating area, and a television — although I never tried the TV as you could hear everything from the lobby and vice versa. No hot water on the first day but the second day was fine. Soap and shower gel is included in the bathroom. No fridge or kettle in the room but there is a kitchen. Breakfast is not included but one coffee per day is allowed if you ask the reception to prepare it. Wi-fi is uncharacteristically spotty for Romania and would connect and disconnect every minute or so. The great thing about this place is not only price but location. You are only around 8 mins from Gara de Nord and there is a laundromat on the way as well. Lots of Mega Image grocery stores nearby and even a nice park. Metro, etc. are all located conveniently. It's very easy to walk to the Old City and the area with the Atheneum. Overall, I didn't hate my stay here. It was a bit awkward and strange but the daytime receptionists were very sweet and feigned being impressed with my almost-non-existent Romanian, hahaha. I would stay here again for one or two nights if I was travelling by train.

However, wifi was not working on rooms in the second floor of the hotel for the entire day. Wi-Fi was fine on ground floor, and 3rd to 5h floors.
Level 2 seems to be under construction or having an industrial look compared to other floors.

It was during the pandemic and one of the main reasons we chose Marshal Garden, is the fact that they are very strict in respecting all the legal safety requirements. It is all very clean and even the most risk adverse guests told us they felt very safe. We appreciated that the offer included all we needed, from welcome drinks to the tasty cake, outsourced to Armand confectionery. The fruit bar was a surprise, as we did not expect it to have such a lovely design, with sculpted melons. Also, it was great that it included forest fruits. They were much appreciated! Should you organize a wedding there, you must know that having 2 rooms included in the offer is a huge plus. It makes everything much more easier. Last but not least, we appreciated their flexibility in offering solutions to various requirements we had and also in solving certain administrative aspects that arised. All in all, I recommend this hotel.

Staff were friendly, WiFi worked very well, room was large and they had a fridge. It was on a very busy main road & not walking distance to old town. You had to get the metro which was 3 stops away. Not much in area so If I was travelling with my husband I would not book this hotel and stay much more central. Drink at the bar were very expensive. Glass or wine was more expensive than getting out of mini bar!! (Not sure how that works!) it was quite expensive to even get a soft drink. (Hotel was charging 4 x the price of anywhere else we had been for drinks) although they were cold & you could get ice If you asked. I don’t do breakfast but I did pop down for a coffee which was very nice. If I wanted to eat breakfast it looked like they had a large selection. I found the staff to be very helpful so at the end of our cycle trip found this place lovely. They had a lift (which most places don’t)

Weak management seems to plague many of these properties & consistent delivery of Marriott's Bonvoy Program only exists in the minds of HQ Executives. The experience of Bonvoy Members is something quite different in reality, since members NEVER know what to expect until they check in. Just finished 12 nights in 6 different European Marriott brands in 3 countries & only 1 even bothered to acknowledge our lifetime elite membership status. Otherwise, we received the same treatment as a guest staying at a Marriott property for the 1st time. The Marmorosch is indeed a beautiful property -- or at least the exterior & lobby area are. The rooms themselves are more more like Fairfield Inn properties in the US. Basic to the extreme & poor housekeeping was evident throughout the property. Trash that littered the floor on arrival was still there 3 days later, as were the blood droplets on the bathroom floor, & one has to question what type of housekeeping would leave a bed in the condition of the one in the attached photos? Only 1 side of the huge hand-pull drapes worked & could be opened, so we called to ask that someone be sent to fix the other side. A pleasant gentleman promptly appeared to tell us that they could not fix the drapes because a separate company had to be scheduled to do the repair. We subsequently learned from an honest employee that the non-functioning drapes issue has plagued the property since opening & is well known to owner/management. The property was previously a bank so there is a bar in the lower level Vault area, which one would incorrectly assume to be a beautiful & sophisticated location for cocktails. Unfortunately, as you descend the stairs to the lower level the loud & pulsating disco music immediately lets you know that your expectations are incorrect. We looked in the door & decided to not even bother entering & returned to the beautiful Lobby for drinks, but left after 15 minutes when no one arrived at the bar to offer service, & others who were waiting when we arrived were still unserved when we departed. Breakfast was a manic mess since the room where it is served is not capable of meeting guest needs if the hotel is more than 75% occupied. Many of the food items that should be hot are cold & unappetizing. Never saw a breakfast menu on a table in the first 2 days of our stay, & only after asking about cooked-to-order items that were being served around us on the 3rd day, were we given a menu with several options that are, in fact, available for breakfast. Check-in was the biggest fiasco we have ever encountered at ANY Marriott property. A full 50 minutes to check-in with only 2 employees manning the 4-5 positions & the Bonvoy Member sign on the front desk was completely meaningless. Negatives were: hairs on towel, no coffee making facilities, not a great deal of charm. I was charged for a minibar drink I didn’t have, but I think that was a genuine mistake on their behalf - nonetheless not a good staff attitude about it. I wouldn’t stay there again but it’s not terrible by any means.

There is la large balcony which catches the sun all day. The rooms are very clean and well equipped. The addition of the Fridge was very handy. The location is excellent. 5 mins walk from old town ans shopping district. There are numerous cafes near the venue. There is also a pharmacy and Carrefour beside the hitel. Staff wete very helpful with recommendations and booking tours.

The rooms are very spacious they have like three separate rooms and they have a beautiful balcony overlooking the property. Staff was flawless hotel was very upscale. The only problem I have with this hotel is that the pool is very very small and I like to luxury ate and of huge swimming pool when I am on vacation and the pool here very small maybe only suitable for children or for someone who doesn't like to swim laps. I never took a dip in the pool and I changed hotels because I wanted a spa / swimming pool hot tub amenity for my vacation. If you were not into pools then this is the perfect place to stay. I got this room for $100 a night and that is truly a steal.

There is not a lot within walking distance of the hotel..aside from Hard Rock Cafe and a few other replaces. So plan on using Uber to go most places. Rooms and service were good. Gift shop seems to have sporadic hours and not the ones listed.

The lift is seriously problematic there’s no way you can choose if you are going up or down - you end up spending time with whoever is inside. (Cleaning staff, customers etc). They have a phone in the room that doesn’t work at all so you have to use your mobile phone to get some amenities or whatever you need. (Seriously!) Great restaurants and food. Restaurant staff super friendly both dinner and breakfast. Reception staff kind and courteous. Can you please extend the room service menu? 9.30 pm isn’t great at all. Please make sure the rooms have a good smell when you switch on the AC. Thanks !

We ordered airport pick up , the Driver nice & good , his drop us and open the lobby door for us , take the room keys in letter box for us and explain where ours lot . feel good ( around 22:00pm local times)… .. after in ours apartment, look new and tidy inside , but we can’t find any brief-notes for WiFi passwords, even found the modem , password was chance !! so thinking paid for roaming , ( Vodafone get in data ) , work only few second than died line all night till morning even walk around at city . ( choose Orange will more better). Service or Staff ? We stay four nights, none seen one . The window & balcony full of dust . By the end, if you’re self drive tourist is ok to stay here .

I wouldn’t get this again, they have a hard time understanding you, and there are 4 choices for breakfast which you can’t adjust much with. 3 with some kind of eggs and toasted bread; that wasn’t always toasted and 1 choice with yoghurt and a croissant + pain au chocolate. I would have liked to be able to choose my breakfast more and Mitch and match. The pre made choices weren’t that nice, when eating it many days in a row. There isn’t any people in the hotel; you have to call to ask for something. The room was very nice, but the bed was a little hard to sleep on. I asked for an extra duvet, so I could fold it over and sleep on it. This made a great difference. Big tv in the room, with smart choice, so you can watch Netflix, YouTube and some other apps. Cleaning crew was nice and the room was nice every day. Nice big bathtub! I was told that not every room has this, but if you do, it’s a great experience. If you have problems with internet in a foreign country, make sure to save the phone number. You get an access code to enter the building. Overall it was a nice stay, with just a few things that could be adjusted.

Some of the issues i have were no fault of the hotel ie groups of kids outside the hotel late at night , dogs barking . Hotel also needs to remind the cleaning staff that not everyone gets up early and that shouting to each other from different parts of the hotel is not on . Wi-fi was painfully slow also . Checked in easy and staff were nice and for what we paid was better than i expected .

The hotel staff were very good.
The hotel is not near the centre, but the bus stop is 2 minutes walk from the hotel.
Also, if you come from the airport, you have a good location.
I would repeat it again.

They need to do a little bit of work on the interior in the carpets on the outside of the rooms. Only stay in the suites are and above cuz they're great. But the superior room and the regular room are not to my liking and a little depressing. But I would stay this hotel anytime I was in Bucharest but only in the sweets and the studios not in the regular tired looking hotel rooms. One of the major benefits of this hotel/aparte hotel is that it has a fantastic hot tub/ jacuzzi and it is right next door in the gym all you have to do is sign in. I love the hot tub and I love the pool especially in mid-December when everything was freezing. I would stay here anytime I visited Bucharest. The food in the restaurant is okay relatively okay value for the money and service is good. Also the women at the front desk are very helpful and accommodating.

The rooms do not have a safe, do not have complementary in-room coffee or water, they don't even have a closet. But, they are very clean and have a large sharp TV. For the savings, it is a trade off I am willing to make and I would stay at this hotel again if I was in Bucharest.
