Seriously, this is one very special hotel. Beautifully restored, oozing charm and history. On our way home from Amarillo, we decided to stay at the Hotel Settles in one of the Heritage rooms. We are both seniors and they had very good COVID19 procedures in effect and we felt very comfortable in all areas of the hotel. When we opened the door to the room, Deb and I fell even more in love with this lovely venue. It really reminded us of a fine European hotel. Our room (303) was immaculate with excellent linens and bedding and a comfortable bed. A Keurig with quality coffee, Gilchrist and Soames bathroom accoutrements and water in the room was more icing on the cake. They obviously take service very seriously, which is reflected in the attitude of every staff member we met and from check in to check out we received great service and felt valued. We availed ourselves of the bar upon arrival (very helpful and attentive bar staff) and the restaurant, for both dinner and breakfast. We were delighted to have friendly, professional and attentive servers for both dinner and breakfast. Thank you Kelsey (dinner) and Jovanna (breakfast) for the great service and for visitin' with us a little. This would be a great place to meet up with friends and just enjoy the hotel and its amenities. We will stay and dine here again........

I came to Big Spring for our High School Reunion. I have never stayed in a Big Spring hotel before, though I don't have any comparative experiences. When I started looking for a hotel at this week, the prices were outrages - all over town. They could be compared to hotel prices in Dubai. I finally ended up choosing this hotel. The staff was very nice. The breakfast room average. The food offered for breakfast tasted good. I was wondering about the plastic tableware. Of course, it is easier for the staff to handle, but it doesn't make the guests feel comfortable - not me at least. The room was large and clean. The King size bed was just right - not too hard and not too soft. Air conditioning, freezer, ironing board in the room. When the air condition was not on the room had a strange smell. The windows were not supposed to be opened, only a tiny slot. The pool area was ok, but didn't attract me much. One morning we didn't have any water, this was not the hotel's fault, but the city's. The hotel is a bit old, but well connected! Parking lot is free.

My son was in a crisis situation and he needed me in Texas. I knew this was going to be a challenging trip for me. I chose the Quality Inn in Big Springs; conveniently located close to the hospital. Quality Inn's are what they are; decent accommodations fairly priced and this one did not disappoint. What made this hotel special to me were the Inn Keepers Beau & Brie Patel. It is hard for me to express my gratitude and appreciation to Beau, his wife and their staff. They demonstrated such kindness and support to a total stranger that I get emotional thinking about it. I witnessed their humanity with their staff and everyone I could see they came in contact with. It's as if I was supposed to be there for a reason. This was a stressful trip and even though the outcome was not good I left feeling fortunate about my encounter with The Patel's. I know they treat everyone the same and I'll never forget my experience in Big Springs. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

This motel is not for the weak-of-heart-five-star-fancy-pants travelers. It’s basic accommodation for affordable prices. We needed a hotel to stay at over Christmas. We basically needed a place to sleep and shower. We did not find the hotel room disgusting or filthy as mentioned in other reviews. The hotel is outdated and there’s much wear and tear, but disgusting? Not at all. Pros: affordable, clean sheets (I always check for bedbugs and inspect bedding closely), clean room, clean bathroom with small toiletries, clean towels, tv with cable, plenty of hot water, coffee pot/microwave/fridge in the room, free & (very) basic breakfast, comfortable bed (my opinion) Cons: near IH-20 and railroad tracks so you hear all kinds of traffic sounds at all hours AND in a really ugly/barren part of a dying town, outdated decorations/facilities/rooms, stained comforters, awful mattress (my husband’s opinion), sad little pillows, weak/tasteless coffee in breakfast area This is not a place for a couples getaway or a grand family vacation, but it will do for a place to stay and shower. We have family in this part of Texas and are familiar with Big Spring. We never felt unsafe. There are nicer hotels to stay at, but they come with a much higher price. Would I recommend staying here? Well, it’s not the best, but I have stayed in some places that made this look like the Ritz Carlton.

TownePlace Suites - in terms of either short or long-term stays - set the standard in my opinion. The Big Spring property was an overnight stop on our "road trip" and it didn't fail to live up to the brand's reputation. Friendly and helpful front desk personnel. Clean and well laid out rooms with a kitchenette. A very good hot breakfast. Overall, highly recommended. If you find yourself with a choice traveling along I-20, select this TownePlace Suites. You'll not be sorry.

This is an extended stay hotel but we liked the outdoor access (in COVID times) & the price was right. Easy check in-we called 15 minutes ahead of arrival as instructed & someone was there to help us. The room was a small 1bedroom apt complete with washer & dryer! It was clean & very comfortable. Great AC & great cable TV. Our only issues were the lack of any real water pressure & the door wouldn’t lock from the outside when we left.

The location was a bit misleading, thinking that on Binhe Avenue, in fact, there were a few blocks to go, and the river view was indeed facing the river outside. The hotel is quite chic, because the number of breakfast did not match the order at check-in, the front desk waiter was a bit indifferent, although it was finally settled, it was always not so pleasant, and I hope to consider the experience for customers in the future.

The decoration of the room is simple, quiet and large enough. The mattress is soft and comfortable, and the hotel lobby is open. The service was super enthusiastic the day before yesterday. Hotel is on beautiful piece of property. Gold course is beautiful and grounds were beautiful. Great food and service. However grounds were in need of maintenance. Pools missing tiles, were needing caulking around sides and there were fruit flies everywhere. Public areas needed clean up and upgrade for how expensive resort is. Rooms are old and AC in our room never cooled off and ran continuously. For a high rating resort, we expected a little more pristine rooms and buildings.

I was double charged aside from the 43 dollars/ per night parking fee and when I called customer service, I was told that this was a split bill. The receipt that I got from the hotel states one charge but I was charged that price, plus another charge of twice that amount. Customer service refused or was incapable of explaining to me why I was charged twice. I suggest that you do not stay at this hotel.

We visited Hyatt Hill Country right as the Covid-19 virus was making its way into our communities on Mar 14 and 15. The hotel was very well prepared with hand sanitizer stations everywhere and the staff were very well prepared and extremely kind as well. The hotel was definitely not full so we were able to “ “socially distance” safely and experience all the resort had to offer. The food was outstanding at the Antlers Lodge. Best fried oysters I’ve ever had! The hotel went above and beyond to make our stay memorable even under the heightened stress that everyone must have been facing. I will definitely be back after all the virus concerns have passed and look forward to enjoying the lazy river again!

We decided to have a staycation and chose the Sheraton Gunter for our stay. It is a very beautiful hotel with lots of history known for its haunts and other antiquities. The staff was extremely accommodating, especially when a staff member took the time out of their busy schedule to give us a haunting tour ☺☺! We LOVED their pool as it has sitting areas inside around the pool, which helped me because of my arthritis and got to sit and relax in the water when I wanted to take a break. Only complaint that I have is that I wish that they had a guest laundry as it would have really made things easier especially when traveling with children. Other than that, I highly recommend this hotel, even in a regular non suite, the room was very spacious, the beds extremely comfortable, and very close to restaurants, and other tourist attractions.

The lobby has a nice view, facing the river. The front desk service is also very welcoming. The door needs to be swiped and safe. There is also an induction cooker in the suite, a variety of cooking pots, you can cook something to eat. There is no electric kettle in the room. You need to take hot water on the first floor, but it is not boiling water. If you need to boil water yourself, bring a simple kettle. The river shop is about a 10-minute walk away. There is a sushi restaurant next to it, the noodles are very good, the environment is a bit noisy. There are WARRENGS convenience stores on two streets, you can buy water to drink.

We were pleasantly surprised by the Embassy suites right on the Riverwalk in San Antonio. The rooms are gorgeous with expensive furniture and a luxurious feel. They have everything you need including comfortable beds. While there were some alterations to the manager’s reception and the breakfast to allow for COVID-19 safety, overall experience was great. The best part was the guest services manager, Antoine. He went above and beyond and was always cheerful and helpful as can be! They were decorating for Christmas when we were there and it was beautiful.

I literally read all the reviews of hotels along the RiverWalk to make sure I get a clean hotel in good location. I chose Hotel Gibbs because I want space and they have an executive room (biggest) with separate seating area. Check-in was easy and the front desk was friendly. The room was big (see my photos) but as the day goes and spend more time in the unit, we started seeing the flaw on the design and reminded me of other reviewers and their complaints . Now I understand what others are saying: space is not everything because the unit is not functional at all. We cannot find a place to hang our clothes, the closet is by the door and too small. No writing or working desk, I will not recommend this unit if you plan to do some work in your laptop. On one occasion we have to bring some food back to the hotel because we don't want to wait for a table in a restaurant for an hour, when get to our room, we realized we do not have a place to eat our food inside the unit and we ended up using the stool as a table. No refrigerator, it was 97 degrees in San Antonio and we cannot even make our bottle water cold. There was no comforter in our King Size bed, I had to call the front desk at night to ask for comforter and I had to go to the front desk to get it. When I went to get the comforter, I brought the empty tissue box with me to get a replacement but was told by the front desk he will bring it up to my room - he never did. On our 2nd day my husband kept complaining about the unit because he cannot find a place to hang his clothes. The size is good but it does not have practical furniture to make the guests more comfortable - a wooden garment rack will make a huge difference. Location is perfect! Right at the corner and very easy to just return to hotel anytime of the day to drop-off your shopping items. We did not use the valet parking, we parked our rental truck to Houston Parking and walked 5 minutes to Hotel Gibbs. Breakfast is grab and go (muffin, yogurt and coffee). The morning front desk has told me that it's due to Covid-19 and my response to him was "we were in Houston and Hilton hotel is serving hot full breakfast". Will we stay here again? To me yes, I like the size of the room and as long as I'm sitting still I don't have any complaints but if you are up and about in the unit you will then realized it's lacking and my husband always reminded me to make sure we get a different hotel next time we are in San Antonio.
