We recently went back to Oxford Suites to attend a concert in Chico. The front desk staff was very friendly and offered us their free shuttle to the venue. I didn't realize they had a shuttle. The shuttle driver was friendly, prompt, the van clean and nice. We had a phone number to call for pick up and the driver arrived right away. Our room was big and nice, shower was fine. I like the smell of the liquid soaps they have in the dispensers on the wall in the shower. We always ask for a room looking out the back to keep an eye on our van, but with it comes the little bit of noise from people who are socializing at the fire pit or pool. It limits opening the window until late (once they have gone to bed). We alway love the free evening reception. The bartender was very friendly and nice. Breakfast is good. It's nice to have hot food. There was scrambled eggs, sausage, waffles, an assortment of hot and cold cereals, toast/bagels, pastry, oranges/apples and juice/drinks. With the current COVID 19 scare, we used our own hand sanitizer after going through the buffet, since we can't be sure of the other guest's hygiene. We will continue to use Oxford Suites the next time we head to Chico.

We recently stayed here overnight after visiting the Sierra Nevada Brewery with my daughter, SIL and granddaughter in one of the two (2) bedroom queen-sized suites. This was ideal for us having the fully equipped kitchen, living room area, two separate bedrooms with full bathrooms in each room. We felt like we were in an apartment rather than being in a hotel even having a faux fireplace to take the chill of the night away in the living room area as we played Uno at the kitchen table in the spacious common area to wrap up our night after the wonderful dinner we had at the Sierra Nevada Taproom. The Residence Inn is centrally located from downtown, close to restaurants, shopping and literally one (1) exit away from Sierra Nevada Brewery with them sharing that guests of the brewery stay at this very Inn often. There was even a miniature golf course with batting cages along with roller skating rink at the end of the street for another FUN option. Only thing that was amiss, hot tub was working but the pool was down not that we were planning to use it but the nearby hotel that shares the parking lot offers guest at the Residence Inn use of their pool. Added bonus, the next morning, Residence Inn served a complimentary breakfast from 7am to 10am which was an array of offerings from scrambled to hard-boiled eggs, various meats, yogurt, cereals, bread, fruit, juice, coffee and pastries - OMTASTY! Price was reasonable as we found that they met our needs for what we were looking for in convenience for location, comfort and amenities - having the separate bedrooms and full kitchen while traveling with our four month old granddaughter was a true blessing. Bathrooms are roomy with water pressure plus temperature perfect, queen-sized bed was super comfy with plenty of pillows, we would recommend Residence Inn to anyone wanting to come to Chico anddd of course we would stay here again with downtown, shopping and the brewery close by! Thanks again for a GREAT little getaway!

Had the pleasure of spending two nights here recently during a visit to see several members of my family who are local to the area. The staff was welcoming and extremely courteous and professional. Heather at the Front Desk was a real standout for her good customer skills and interpersonal relationships. My room was spacious and comfortable. Room rates were extremely reasonable and I plan to stay here again when I next visit early next year. If you want a nice room at reasonable rates, give them a try!

The first room we entered smelled so horribly from cigarette smoke, that we had to ask for a new room. Second room smelled more like pot, which was way more tolerable. The beds were comfortable. The shower was disgusting and didn't even shower, there. It was quiet when we stayed. Neighborhood seems kind of spooky at night with a fair number of seemingly harmless homeless nearby. Found a decent Italian recent nearby. Really needs some fixes. Would only stay there again if I had no other choice.

Super 8 has done a major over-hall with the look of the room, comfort, and cleanliness. I had a late check-in and requested a late check-out. Staff friendly, courteous, and very helpful. My only issue was a wake-up call I needed for a work meeting. No call came through. When I called down to the front desk realized that the phone did not work I could not hear the lady at the front desk but she could hear me. when I checked out I did let her know and she was aware and apologized.

I had never stayed at a Motel 6 before, but we made a last minute decision to stay in a hotel rather than bunk at my grandson, the groom's, house. Just too many people were ending up there. Motel 6 was the only place that had space for a reasonable price at 3:00 pm for that night. It was a little annoying that the credit card number we'd provided just to hold the room had already been charged when we got there at 6:01 pm. The room was perfectly adequate, but no frills. They provided bars of soap, but no shampoo. Fine, I had mine. TV was great. I was a bit miffed that the pool was "Closed for the Winter" on October 12 when the temperature was 90%. The bed was really squishy when I sat on it, so I feared for a sleepless night, but it turned out to be fine. The air conditioner was useless. Half the motel seemed to be rented out to construction workers, so it was kind of an endless party in the parking lot. But the people were so nice. I went down to get the credit card straightened out (apparently couldn't be done till the next day), and got the manager who was cheerful and efficient. Later I was talking to the desk worker, and I mentioned how hot it was trying to get a tan standing outside my room since the pool with the chaise lounges was closed. She said she would have unlocked it if I just wanted to use the lounges. It was very nice to have a microwave located in the area where the ice machine and vending machines were. First time I've ever taken leftovers back to the hotel with me.

My Chico State Senior has moved back and I stayed here as I have for three years now whenever I visited Chico. It’s comfortable and has the amenities I need! But I was disappointed and frustrated to see that none of the employees that I observed behind the counter were wearing a mask. The installed plexiglass offers no protection because it’s cut so high over the register that a customer standing at the counter is less than two unobstructed feet from the employee’s face. I observed three employees while there...One helped me check in, one was helping another guest while I walked by and one who helped me when I checked out. All different employees and none were wearing a mask. Well, the employee at check-out had a mask but he was wearing it under his nose which of course is the same as not wearing one at all. If you’re not following that very basic guideline what other shortcuts are you taking? Very disappointing. I was going to inquire about reserving rooms for graduation but I let it go…we’ll be staying somewhere else. All weekend I observed workers in Chico doing it right…serving customers and wearing their masks...grocery and retail stores, restaurants fast food...many working outside in the heat without the luxury of air-conditioning and they are still managing to do the right thing. Get with it.

The biggest advantage of the hotel is that it is close to Lake Tahoe and built next to the lake. The lake is a beach and the lake is super clean. Others have no advantages. The room is small, reference to the size of the country for 7 days; no bathtub; there is a fireplace; when I came, it was not the peak season, the guests were few, the room was thick and gray when I checked in, and there was still gray on the furniture for the next few days; there was no breakfast. If you have to say one more advantage, the coffee provided in the room is a Starbucks bag, but it is not good.

Very large hotel with all the facilities. The rooms are large and comfortable. There is a free breakfast and the quality is good. It is very suitable for family discharge. The area around the hotel is very convenient, ski resorts, shopping centers, food, ice skating rinks, hypermarkets, cinemas are all very close. However, the disadvantage is that the pickup time is slightly longer, and the indoor air conditioning noise is a bit loud.

The two-bedroom and one-living room are very large. The rooms are well-equipped. The hotel is the most satisfying. The parents are also satisfied. There are three bathrooms in the three houses. The rooms are very clean and comfortable, the decoration is quite new, but there is no peculiar smell; although it is not very big, it can be opened completely. When we went there, it was cooling down, but the air conditioner was very warm, so it felt very warm, but the noise was still a bit loud, so I turned it off before going to bed and added a layer of quilt. The bathroom is also very clean, the space is also large, the hot water is very hot, and the bath is very relieved! Parking is also free. The hotel is in the South Lake Tahoe area, you can walk to the lake across the street, and you can see the starry sky at night. In short, it exceeded expectations!

We stayed here on Valentine’s Day weekend. The location is excellent! Walking distance to shops, casinos, restaurants and ski gondola ride to Heavenly. Pros: •Bed is comfortable, comfy sheets and pillow soft •Excellent location •Free hot breakfast (biscuit & gravy, toast, fruit, juice, oatmeal and etc) we didn’t try it...chose to sleep in. •Free parking •Amenities in the room: small bottles of Shampoo, Conditioner, & Lotion, soap bar, hair dryer, iron, iron board, safe, mini refrigerator (no freezer), tv •Dogs allowed •Restaurant on site...X Crows (BBQ this is also the place you get your breakfast) Cons: •Loud!! Bring ear plugs to sleep. You can hear doors closing (more like slamming), dogs barking, people talking outside. Does not have double pain windows •RESTLESS SLEEP!! •Water pressure horrible. Takes a long time for the water to heat. •No pool •No gym •No DVD • Only one outlet by the bed. The nightstand closest to the bathroom did not have an outlet. Had to charge my phone on the desk. •Limited parking even though it is free •No fireplace This place received a cosmetic upgrade but not a construction renovation. There’s a few items that needs to be addressed and can make this place a 5 star. For us if we are waken up every hour of the hour with loud noise, it’s not a hotel we would like to experience again.

My family of 5 (3 kids 11,13,15) stayed here for Spring Break to snowboard at Heavenly. I’ve read the reviews that it is a little dated, and I was a little worried. But this place was awesome! 1) Less than 5 minute walk to the Gondola and Heavenly Village shops and restaurants. I’d say 3, even with kids laden with gear. 2) Free breakfast had tons of yummy choices. Bacon, sausage patties, scrambled and hard boiled eggs, bread (cinnamon raisin toast was a family favorite), bagels, danishes, premade waffles (and syrup of course),fresh fruit, cereals, yogurt, cottage cheese, juices, Starbucks coffee and one “special” - we saw quiche, Belgian waffles with fancy toppings, omelettes and biscuits and gravy. We were warned that things might run out if we got there too late (hours between 6:30 and 8:30). Latest we ate was 7:30, with a big crowd, and everything was plentiful. As a family who has wasted SOOOOO much on hot breakfasts for the kids before we get up on the mountain I cannot rave enough about this great feature! 3) The website and TripAdvisor reviews don’t mention onsite laundry rooms, but they have 3 separate ones in 3 different buildings. Wash was $2. Dry was $1. Hallelujah! 4) Units were spacious - we had a 2 bedroom. Sure, the units and decor are not brand spanking new, but everything is comfortable and functional. Floors are creaky, but REALLY, come on. Kitchen has oven, microwave, full-sized fridge, plenty of dishes and utensils. Grocery store is a 5 minute walk. A little lean on cookware. We had a big pot, small pot, and very small frying pan, but I have no doubt they would have helped us out if we asked for anything else. Also, the beds were REALLY comfortable - and I am very picky. 5) Wine and cheese reception every night from 4-5 was fun FREE! and always well attended. 6) The kids enjoyed foosball and “basketball” in the game room off the lobby. They also have board games and Xbox games. 7) Pool is closed during the winter, but the family enjoyed the hot tub, which was clean and big enough for at least 6. All in all, I would highly recommend this place to anyone - especially families. We’ve stayed at higher end condos at other ski areas, and I would prefer this experience to anything else we’ve encountered. And the price is terrific. Hope to return next year, as long at there is snow at Heavenly!!!!

This hotel is the most cost-effective one since coming to the United States so many times! For skiing friends, this hotel is the best choice. The location is right next to the Heavenly Ski Resort, about 2 minutes' walk. The hotel has a parking service, free of charge, and of course free tip. The price of more than 200 RMB per night is super value, and there is no one and only one! The room is large, at least it can accommodate 4 people, the room is a big bed, the living room is a sofa bed, there is a spa bath between the room and the living room that can accommodate three or four people, the room is clean, the microwave and refrigerator are complete, the lobby front desk also helps me Print documents for free, friendly staff, and take the initiative to introduce how to rent skis. Can I give 10 stars!

I reserved a two bedroom suite with one of the rooms having two queens for 3 nights. The room itself was spacious and well stocked. It had all the amenities we were looking for and more! There were 5 of us staying in the room and we felt like there was plenty of space. The real strength of this place is the location if you ski Heavenly. You can walk directly to the gondola. In addition, if you are staying at the Marriott, the rental shop will hold your rentals at the gondola. In addition, you are located in a great area with tons of shops and restaurants. The casinos are about a 5-10 minute walk. I'm not sure there is a better located hotel in South Lake Tahoe. Some of the people in our group did a massage and liked it. In addition, others joined the ballroom dancing class they had and also enjoyed that. I do think it is strange that they charge for DVD rentals to their guests. It seems like that should be complimentary. As a Platinum member, I got a few bonus points on check in, but otherwise not really any benefits. They sent an email before and were very upfront about it though. I would definitely stay here again.
