We stayed at Mocca for 3 nights whilst visiting Vienna for the first time. Check-in was quick and easy. Our room (No. 25) was on the 1st floor and faced a side street. You can hear the noise of the traffic if you keep the window open but it wasn't too bad. The room is equipped with a TV, fan, kettle and a some disposable tea making items. It would have been good to have had a couple of glasses and mugs to make a proper brew. The bed was comfortable but they had the lightest pillows ever! with very little padding in them so we had to fold them up to rest our heads. There is a bus stop right outside the hotel, which is great, and also opposite, which takes you into town. We didn't go for the breakfast offered at the hotel, but decided to try the coffee shop next door (Gumperdonfer) and it was really good value. We also had breakfast at Jelinek just round the corner. Both really good places. We also had dinner most nights at Steman also on Otto Bauer Gasse. We both thought the location was great. It was easy to access from the airport from the tube station nearby (Zieglergasse) and not far from the centre. Mocca is a good place to stay if you intend to spend most of your time out and about exploring the city and you're not too bothered about a bit of an outdated decor (mind, we found that this is a common theme in lots of places we visiting during our stay, which I felt made them very charming and quaint).

The location of this property is excellent! Housekeeping is superior; we returned from our days' activities to an immaculate and organized room. Breakfast is of good quality, with all offerings refilled as needed by very polite attendants. Upon our arrival, payment for the entire stay was collected and the credit card charge was processed. The next morning, we returned to reception to report that the radiator in our room was not working. The outdoors temperature was in the forties Fahrenheit, and the room was very chilly. We were told that the availability of heating in the rooms was dependent upon the season, and that the option we had was to be given additional blankets. This would not have made the room more pleasant for the times prior to bedtime when we were planning the next day's activity, nor for the morning's emergence from under the blankets. We try to be resilient ("If you want all the comforts of home, stay there") so we bore with the arrangement during a few cold and rainy days, but this situation may be something for you who are reading this review to consider prior to booking. We didn't inquire as to whether air conditioning is likewise "seasonally available." We had a supply of Euros remaining at the end of our stay and inquired a couple times as to using them as partial payment on the room, thereby using the Euros at their local value to reduce the credit card charge. We were told that since payment was accepted at the outset, the ticket was closed. During other European travels, the property's cooperation in accepting a partial payment at the end of the stay made it possible for us to return to the United States without having Euros to sell or exchange. We may well have agreed to this property's notion of a final settling of our bill upon arrival; I didn't read the fine print. We've seldom included any negative feedback in a review, but we feel that it is fair for fellow travelers to be given a heads-up about something that may be of major importance to them. One final point: we availed ourselves of the taxi service for our return to the airport. The driver Boris was outstanding: prompt arrival at 5 am, polite, talkative, efficient. And his vehicle was warm enough. :0) His charge for this service was just a few Euros more than the subway and city airport transit expenses for "do-it-youself" method of travel - well worth it!

For the second time in four years, we had the great pleasure of staying at the family-owned Hotel Jäger for our one-week stay in Vienna. Most of the staff members who were there in 2015 were also there to greet us, including our good friend Claudia who made us feel at home as soon as we arrived. The morning after, we were fortunate enough to have Lili accompany us to the nearby tram station, helping us to get our one-week pass for the short ride downtown. And that was after a delicious breakfast (outstanding smoked salmon and homemade cake and jams) in the cosy dining room where each morning, Kova kept the same table ready for us by the window. It was also while we were having breakfast the day before we left that family member and manager Andrea took care of our check-in at the airport. And at 6:30 the next morning, while we were waiting for our taxi, Andrea's mother Helene made it a point to come in to wish us well and thank us for our visit. In our traveling experience, that is the kind of personalized and caring attention that makes the Jäger stand out from the rest. No wonder it is still thriving after close to 110 years. Can't wait to return.

If it looks like home, feels like home – It's Home Das Tigra hotel Vienna 1) The hotel stuff – when the receptionist asks you: "how are you?" – He really means – "How are you". Each and one of the stuff members is polite, helpful, and friendly and mainly gives you the feeling that he's a longtime friend. The discussions we had with the workers of the dining room were interesting and gave a personal view about the lives of immigrant's in Vienna regarding adopting the new language, culture and mentality. 2) Service; in many hotels I've stayed the service is good, in this hotel it's excellent – when asking for an extra pillow it arrived 87 seconds after our request!!! 3) Location – everybody said that Vienna's public transport is second to none, well we didn’t have to try because the hotel is situated in heart of the old city – walking distance from all the important sights. 5 minute walk from 2 major U-bahn stations, surrounded by excellent bars and restarounds 4) Cleanliness – everything is spotless – the rooms are so clean you could truly eat from the floor. The dining room looks like a museum and so are the rest of the parts of the hotel 5) Bath – I don't know about you – but I need a bath tub specially after a long day out… the room was provided with a very big bath tub and consonant hot water running 24 hours a day 6) Small things that make your day: great chocolate bars on your pillow, umbrellas for public use in the the main entrance, apples and tea, great Wi-Fi all over the hotel, beautiful lounge 7) The dining room – very rich breakfast including various types of bread, cheas, sausages, eggs, fruits, juices and even cahmpanige !!!! The food is simply great! 8) If I had to rate the hotel it would be 10+

Steps from the tram, bus, and train, with a terrifically responsive and helpful staff team, I can only recommend Appartments Ferchergasse. A ground floor apartment was our home for six weeks as we were moving to Austria, and we really enjoyed staying there. A fully-equipped kitchen, two bathrooms, two bedrooms -- it had everything our family needed for a long stay. On the 43 tram, we were in to the center of the city in 15-20 minutes. The immediate surroundings are an interesting urban neighborhood with food and drink options as well as having a large hardware store around the corner. Also around the corner is a bike path that takes you in 5 minutes by bike to a vineyard and 10 minutes to the forest surrounding Vienna. All-in-all, a great stay and we would definitely stay again in the future.

This hotel is very beautiful and inside a shopping center. In my experience in my travels I can to say that is a futuristic because practically you have autonomy because don´t exist lot personal and you have card for operate for example the elevator that have many buttons to operate (hehe), the card open your room, you get out of the hotel, etc. With this, you must to be careful with check out to the hotel because for example in my case the recepcionist was not around 5:00 A.M. and I almost lost my train (the advantage is that the station is next to the hotel) and I almost lost my fly to other country, my card was not delivered personally and as an anecdote I just left a note at the reception delivering the card and left because I was already late.I think I had to indicate my departure the day before I left

We have just spent 4 days at Hotel Stadion. It is an old hotel but well kept and scrupulously clean. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful with all our questions. The beautiful antique elevator is in perfect working order and a sight to behold. Our room was quite basic, single beds, cosy duvets, well heated ( not too hot and you can open the window ) with TV, kettle ( no tea or coffee!! ) and good wifi. The small bathroom had a large shower with plenty of hot water. Breakfast was nice with plenty of choice, cereals, fresh fruit salad, yoghurts, bread and cakes and lots of cold meat and cheese. Scrambled eggs were available and sausage. It is not a big dining room and the hotel was full so we did have to wait for a table one morning! The hotel is very close to the Rathaus ( City Hall ) Christmas market and many public buildings are in the area. It was easy to find the stop for the Hop on/ Hop off bus and the Vienna tram is at the end of the road....fantastic for getting around Vienna. There are some decent restaurants close by....Centimeter and Nolo being two that we tried and enjoyed the food. Would recommend hotel Stadion but don’t expect luxury!

You never know what to make of TA reviews! I booked this hotel out of hand, mostly because I needed a ‘Plan B’ for my home exchange, and it was so cheap, and only after that I started reading reviews, and they were not very favourable; they wrote it’s not clean, obsolete and generally run-down. Besides, last year I was in Europe in spring, and I nearly froze to death! I mean not in the street, I mean indoors! How do I know if they have any heating anywhere? Well, obviously I was worried, especially as my Plan B became Plan A... The reality proved to be much better than I could hope! To start with, they were very quick to answer all my questions, within a day or so. The trip from the airport went as smooth as it could be. The place is pretty far from the centre, it’s true. But getting there from the airport is no problem, in fact, much easier than if I had taken a room downtown; direct train, less than half an hour, then 3 stops by tram. The hotel is absolutely charming, late 19th or early 20th century, a place with a character, the way I like. You can look at the photos, warm décor, winding stairs, wooden window frames; but electricity is managed automatically. And there is a lift, though very small, as in any older buildings, for 1 person and a modest suitcase. It goes up to the 3rd floor, but the last flight you have to go on foot. And my room was there, on the 4th floor! But even that couldn’t spoil my stay :)) There are just 2 rooms there, mine was on the right, I think it’s # 17b. And it turned out to be a real jewel! A lot of light, sort of mansard, ceiling windows. One day it snowed, I feared it would be cold in the room, but no, the heating worked perfectly! The apartment is very convenient, a bedroom and a full-size kitchen. I suppose regular customers are students, that is, they spend here a few months, there is more furniture than usual, to put all clothes in order. And generally it has an air of a place where one can live, not just to sleep overnight and then run around the city. The bed is comfortable, the bed linen of good quality. A small table near the window, can be used both as as a dining and a writing table, with a lovely bunch of flower! The TV set is right opposite the bed, but I did not watch it, I don’t speak German. The radio, on the contrary, is a real treasure, with a classic station Stephansdom, I listened to it all the time. But not too loud, I don’t want to disturb my neighbours :)) The kitchen looks even better :)) It’s comfortable and spacious. All kitchen utensils are clean and well-managed. I’ve taken detailed pictures, better to see than to read :) True, the refrigerator wasn’t rubbed properly with a wet cloth or something, but it’s no big deal, I can manage myself. The bathroom is perfectly OK, too; a shower instead of a bathtub, in fact, I like it better this way. Most important, the hairdryer functions perfectly – very important for me, as I had 5 (five!) theatre visits out of 6 nights in

I slept in this hotel during advent, and I was pleased. Rooms are clean and neat, staff friendly, food is great, everything is new and nice. I have the impression that this is a relatively new hotel, which in architectural terms is very beautiful. This hotel is super luxurious, and was originally a Palace. Even the lead in room category is stunning, as is a suite, and a very luxurious and spacious suite as well, set over 2 levels. The room is so lovely, it is tempting not to leave, but leave you must to enjoy both the hotel, and the delights of Vienna. The hotel has amazing meeting rooms, so great for a family party, or a wedding, and part of the old city walls, form part of the hotel. For history buff's this is a must, as it is steeped in history, and previous royal occupants and their relatives adorn the walls. There is a lovely garden, especially in Spring and Summer, as well as a great bar and wine cellar. The restaurant serves a limited breakfast menu, however everything is cooked to perfection, and so fresh and flavoursome, the lack of options does not matter. This is a great place to stay, to feel you are part of the history of Vienna, but central and luxurious at the same time.

I stayed at the Vox hotel last minute on November 4th to 5th. I was very surprised at how much space was in the room. The bathroom was large, a small area by the main door, a living room with a big couch and an HDTV, and the bedroom with a queen size bed and a mini fridge. Their is no AC in the apartment, just a heater, but I just opened the windows. The hotel was quiet, the outside of the apartment can get pretty noisy if the windows are open. The bed was very comfortable and the couch was too for relaxing. Towels, bodywash, a kettle, cups and tea were provided. Only issue is, there are no staff pass 6pm, so checking in could be a challenge, but calling the phone number provided resolves that issue. Worth the money, very good location near Metro in District 2, several food places nearby and easy to find. Recommend this place for a big and comfortable stay. Would definitely go back.

This hotel is lovely but to echo another review, it's the staff who make it. They are so kind and accommodating. There was work on the street during our stay which was very noisy but we were thoughtfully provided with earplugs and a complimentary bottle of fizz! The noise did not cause a problem. Breakfast is included in the already reasonable price and it varied and fresh - fruit, yoghurt, breads, jams, cereal, sausage & eggs, continental meats & cheeses, the staff even offered to make special vegan options and they are flexible with the times it is served. The room itself was very nice with a four-poster bed and chandelier. I honestly can not fault this place and can't believe any review on here is less than 5 star.

Nice cute apartment it’s brand new so everything is in pristine condition has all the amenities you could need for a self stay e.g ironing board washing machine. It also has a smart tv with Netflix which is a nice touch can’t get that in most hotels these days. Has a couch shower clean toilet I have nothing to complain about the beds are single beds joined together to make a double and the bed is quite comfy the duvet is soft it has a cot bed thing for children. There is also a Lidl opposite depending on which one you’re staying at which does a nice breakfast selection of croissants. There is no bath it’s shower only and there are no key cards to get in just a code. The owners/managers are lovely and super helpful we had a problem with our AC and they came out to fix it straight away with regular updates through text. There’s good parking outside I’m not sure about distances to different places as we had a car but it was a nice stay without any hiccups.

We struggled to find the hotel originally, but once settled in, it is in a convenient location. After reading reviews, we booked this hotel and were surprised to find that none of the reviews mention that in order to check in, your luggage must be dragged up 12 stone steps, and take a lift to reception on the first floor. The building has plenty of character and the rooms are large; bathrooms have been refurbished. However, there was no storage space apart from a rack on wheels with six hangers. There were no amenities such as a kettle, fridge or safe, and they did not reply to our email asking about this prior to our arrival. However, you may make yourself a drink anytime in reception, which is only open 7:30 am to 10:00 pm. You must ring the bell to be admitted for breakfast and while the choice is limited, everything was of good quality. The breakfast room is sunny and pleasant, but can be quite noisy. The bed was very comfortable, but we did find it noisy at night outside with sirens, etc.

The apartment is situated at an easy reach location from all places. Let's not call as a hotel but a serviced apartment and one of a good kind in Vienna. The check in service was exactly according to the mentioned details which is sent via email. You do not see anybody even during check in and out except if you have a problem. This is exactly an example of doing online business. The apartment was at the first floor, very big and enough for families with children. One master bedroom, one living room, one open kitchen and 2 toilets are serving to all of your needs. The sleep comfort is excellent. The kitchen is equipped with all appliances that you would need. The only thing that is missing in the apartment is a SAFE. Other than that all were very good and suggested for all occasions and even for long stays

We arrived to the hotel too early to check in, but the staff was able to hold our bags so we could walk around the city. The hotel sits about 15 minutes from the Schönbrunn Zoo and Palace; if you have small kids, the zoo is a must see! The room was clean and a crib was provided for us, which was a great help. The pillows for the bed were very flat, which I think it just a European thing. The bathroom and adjoining room didn't have additional outlets near mirrors, so if you need to curl or straighten your hair, you'll have to bring your own mirror or use a phone. The restaurant was a little pricey compared to other places for dinner, but I think the breakfast buffet was the same as other places like Aida Cafe. The food was delicious, but for the same price in town you could get more food. Dessert (Kaiserschmarrn) and breakfast was delicious, filled with lots of Austrian specialties. The staff was great, very friendly and accommodating. The hotel's location is great, right near a public bus stop and easy for Ubers to find. If you're a family traveling on a budget and want a good hotel with wonderful staff and an easy location, Hotel Bergwirt Schönbrunn is the hotel for you!

We were messaged the access details for the apartment and entry was simple. Apartment is clean and roomy for two people. Could accommodate up to four quite comfortably. Cafes and supermarket are in the same street as the underground station. There is a washing machine in the bathroom. (Visitor From Greece - Thessaloniki -) : This is a fantastic hotel that I have been visiting for two years and I will continue to visit it. The last time I visited it was on August 24, 201 a very rich breakfast. A space characterized by daily cleanliness, uninterrupted courtesy and service of all staff. As for the location it is in front of the largest street of the Vienna market in Mariahilfestr. Metro station ( NEUBUGASSE ) in less than a minute walk from the HOTEL. Beautiful market with lots of shops Right in front of your feet. And of course after a beautiful walk to the sights that are all close to the hotel a very clean room awaits you and a very pleasant and kind staff to satisfy all your wishes. All this is achieved With the supervision of the hotel owner main Mr. TIBOR TARNAY who is an extremely kind, clever and excellent man also and the rest of the team. Hoping With great anticipation to be with you in 2022 because I was deprived of the trip to beautiful Vienna in 2021 due to the problems off pandemic, Thank you for everything Mr TARNAY. Hotel Pension Residenz is actually a pension inside a building where many other appartments are. So you need to look out to find right entrance door. I actuall walked by entrance first time as there is only a side plate notice there is inside a pension hotel. Hotel Pension staff is kind and helfull. Breakfast nothing fancy but good and tasty. hotel room look old fachion, which could get a little bit of refresh. But for that price and location for few nights sleep over is just fine. So out of 10 I would give mark 8 - very good mark. Internet wifi access fast and reliable. Pay attention for near by Votiv- garage - car parking as they charge 20 EUR per day and if you leave car over the night you will be charged for two days! so you pay per day and not how many hours your car is in garage.... this have nothing to do with hotel - pension, just to warn other potential car drivers,,, this is expensive under the ground garage!

Quite a good hotel! It is very convenient to go anywhere. There is a supermarket on the McDonald's side. It is very convenient to buy things! There are Chinese foods to eat around, and the street to buy and buy is also quite close! The restaurant below the hotel is also very famous, and there are many people eating every day. The public comment is to eat fried steak! Packed a fried steak back to the hotel to eat, I feel the fried is not crisp! It is estimated that you still want to eat! Breakfast is good! The breakfast environment is also very good!

The staff was very accommodating for us. We arrived very late and the staff stayed up to ensure we were okay. Additionally, my partner had an allergic condition and the owner of the hotel drove her to the pharmacy to ensure she was okay. Lastly, the whole family is very friendly and easy to socialize preparing us eggs to order. The location is not that far from the U-bahn and the owner pointed us in the right direction to include getting us the tickets for 24 hour rides in advance. I would recommend this hotel to other travelers. The rooms are a bit-dated, but if you are looking to see things in Vienna and just need a place to rest your head this will definitely suffice. There is wi-fi and parking is private on the compound of the hotel.

These apartments are ideally situated - 10 minutes walk to the Cathedral and Kartner Strasse and about the same to the station where the airport train(CAT) arrives. The apartment itself was spacious and well equipped - comfy beds, tea and coffee in the kitchen and nice bathroom. Washing machine for longer stays. Would definitely return.

This is a fabulous gem of a hotel. It has been beautifully renovated, well laid out rooms complete with an espresso machine! There is an award winning restaurant downstairs that serves breakfast. There are also a couple of ‘to go’ breakfast places near by. It is located in a suburban area of Vienna with an easy 30 minute train and subway connection to downtown. There is a shopping mall across the street for added pleasure. The only down side is that there are not a lot of restaurants close by so best to dine in Vienna centre before coming back to the hotel or downstairs. The same quality of Hotel would cost considerably more closer to the centre.

The photos I saw of this hotel before booking were most definitely taken by a skilled photographer. Cannot complain about the room - clean and comfortable bed - although uncomfortably hot and can’t turn heating down, and if you open the window you’ll be kept awake by trams all night. And no tea / coffee / kettle facilities Reception ok I guess, but corridors leading too rooms really dirty...far from feeling like a European ‘Arthotel’ but rather like a worn out B&B Breakfast ok, but the much lauded free coffee machine is a bit of a joke as is over used so doesn’t always work Location is not ideal, next to what looks like a derelict shopping mall but is actually the back of the university...but no bars or restaurants of note nearby, taxis required And whilst not the hotel’s fault the other guests were really rude...as were a couple of members of staff Was ok, but won’t go back
