When I was choosing the hotel for my trip I had one strong condition. This hotel had to have a parking place. And this Modern Hotel pointed that it had it. But when I came I was surprised that the parking place was located more than 1 km from the hotel. We also paid for breakfast but it was the worst breakfast in my trip. A cup of tea and a slice of bread with small piece of butter. And another disadvantage is that this hotel didn`t have an elevator and had narrow corridors, so if you have big and heavy baggage it can be difficult to pick it up on the 6th floor. But this hotel was located near the city centre and my family and I spent good time and visited many interesting and famous places.

The hotel is easy to reach from Gard de Nord train station being only 6 stops on Metro Line 2 and then a 5 minute walk. However its half way down a small road which is easy to miss in the dark so pay attention. The rooms are based either side of a central passageway and on either the ground or first floor, accessed by stairs, no lifts. I was on the first floor and this was not a problem for me but might be for others. I had a Standard Double Studio which has the bedroom partially separate from the small kitchenette and shower room / toilet. The room was quiet and, although small, normal for Paris. Everything was provided as expected including a nice coffee machine but only 1 coffee capsule and 2 tea bags, as I was there for 4 nights I bought more from the local supermarket. The room was quiet during my stay and neither too hot nor cold. The only negative point I would make is although this was a 'Double' the bed was pushed up against the wall meaning that a second person would have to get out of bed by climbing over the other person or via the end of the bed, fortunately I was on my own but maybe a question to ask booking. Overall the hotel and room met by expectations and I would stay there again,

Hotel location is OK, go to the subway station for about 10 minutes, not far from a Carrefour supermarket. But the room is too small, especially the bathroom is smaller, it is difficult to turn around in the toilet. The stairs are also small, often without lights, the elevator is carrying luggage, ultra-small, and the elevator did not have electricity on the day of check-out, so I had to carry the big box down from the fourth floor! Hygiene is also very common. Every day, the waiter only replaces the towels and dumps the garbage. Nothing else is cleaned. In addition, the bathing liquid only lasted for two days, and there were no three days in the back. I was too lazy to ask the front desk. At the same time, in addition to the room rate, we have to pay 3 Euros per day (1.88 Euro City Tax + 1.12 Euro service fee). I have lived in many hotels in France, usually only city tax, I have never seen the service fee. In short, I can only say that I can deal with living. If you have no choice but to live in such a hotel, you can't feel Samsung, just a small hotel.

Do you want to stay somewhere and experience real Paris? You won't find a tour bus stopping here. It is clean and it is affordable. It is also spacious. The wifi worked. There was a tv and a shower. The neighborhood is a bit sketchy, but there were people everywhere so it was fine. The owners may not speak English as per other commenters. I don't know. As I speak French, it was fine. They were nice. You could probably manage with an easy translation app. It isn't like you are going to discuss much with them anyway so don't let that keep you away. The staircase is definitely unique and challenging so if you have mobility issues, you will need to reconsider. They do help with your luggage though. I will stay here again if I return. Basic French breakfast is provided and it's fine, but we took advantage of the pastry places since we don't get to France much. Restaurants and grocery stores in very close proximity. The bed was a little hard so if you need a plush bed, maybe not your joint.

We could have easily given this hotel a better review because of its good location and clean rooms. We really enjoyed our stay up until the very last night when our room was robbed (along with three other rooms). 1. Four rooms were robbed (with other guests from Europe and South America). The affected rooms were in different levels of the hotel, and we were all scheduled to check-out the next day. We do not know if the thief/thieves were able to gain access to this information. The hotel receptionist said that this was just a mere coincidence, but this is hard to believe. 2. No forced entry in any of the affected rooms, which means that our rooms were easily opened using a hotel key card. During the night of the robbery, the hotel receptionist said that only the hotel receptionist and the cleaners have a copy of the master key card. We were later told that one of the master key cards went missing. We do not know how it went missing, but this was the hotel receptionist’s explanation of how the thief/thieves were able to enter our rooms. 3. Our luggage zippers/locks were destroyed (the other guests' luggage zippers were also destroyed in the same way), so even though our shopping purchases and some valuables were kept inside closed and locked luggages, they were still forcibly opened. 4. We wanted to view the CCTV footage, but the hotel receptionist said that there wasn't any CCTV camera in the hotel. This is very surprising, given that the hotel has several rooms across several floors (6 levels). The hotel lobby and hotel entrance did not have a CCTV camera, even though the main door of the hotel has a sticker/sign that says that the hotel is being monitored by surveillance videos. 5. When we asked the receptionist to call the police, he said that he couldn't get in touch with the police. However, we were easily able to call the police by ourselves. We spent the next day in a police station to file a formal police report. 6. Upon checking-out, the hotel offered to waive the cost of our hotel bill, and after we left Paris, the hotel’s management also offered to compensate us for a partial amount of the value of the items that were stolen from our room. We appreciate this gesture from the hotel’s management. We’ve all read about pickpockets and the growing number of scams in Paris, and as travelers we try our best to prepare and avoid that. But the last place that you would expect to get robbed is in your own hotel room where you should feel the safest while you are on a vacation. Naturally, we were left feeling very disappointed since we never expected this to happen in a hotel with good reviews. We hope that the hotel can improve its security so that future guests wouldn’t have to feel scared or worried that a thief/thieves can enter their hotel room at any time. We truly appreciate the concern shown by the hotel manager following the incident. If only we could have also received the same level of concern from the hotel s

We had a lovely stay at the Acacia while visiting the Atelier des Lumieres - it’s across the street from a grocery and several small cafes and right on a central bus line. The staff were very accommodating, loaning us both an umbrella and a fan when the room was stuffy. Love that you can open the windows for fresh air and to feel more a part of street life. The room is basic to be sure, but met our needs very nicely and is priced attractively. I give very high marks, however, for the super fast and efficient follow up when I realized I had left behind my iPad. It was too late to go back for it as we had a plane to catch but the front desk staff, after some back n forth messaging, got it in the mail to me and I received it in 2 days (all the way back to the U.S.!) I will be forever grateful. Just a note on the stair/elevator comments from another review - the elevator works very well but if you have lots of luggage do it one person at a time. The stairs were easier for us, being on the 3rd floor; we found them neither narrow nor steep.

My wife and I were celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary in Paris for the week and plans to visit our daughter in Berlin the next week. We searched everywhere for a hotel near restaurants the metro and live music. This hotel is all those things and more. Nearby restaurant, metro just down the street, and a pub with live music right on the corner. The room was clean, bathroom and shower were great, and a view of the street without much noise. We loved our room with a king bed, which I was told we wouldn’t be able to find at a reasonable price. The free breakfast was outstanding and the staff was friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. We couldn’t of dreamed of a better experience. Unfortunately due to COVID-19 we were forced to cut our stay short. We didn’t get to see our daughter and were devastatingly disappointed we were so close. Although the Hotel Manager was disappointed we had to leave she was very accommodating and kind about our refund of the unused nights from our short stay. We plan to come back and I highly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a great place to stay, marvelous staff, and wonderful rooms

We stayed 2 nights in the Adagio Access Paris Philippe Auguste, from 16-18 July 2018. The location next to the Père Lachaise Cemetery and close to the Metro stop Philippe Auguste with easy access to central Paris is excellent. The Père Lachaise is so beautiful, and we spent hours walking there. During our stay in the Adagio Access Paris Philippe Auguste no-one came to clean our room, and we had to buy our own toilet paper as we ran out. Our room was very hot and no air-conditioning / fan. The communication about breakfast was somewhat misleading. We thought breakfast was included, at checkout we discovered that it was 9€ per person per day – definitely over priced. Had we been aware of this, we would have bought bread etc. at the nearby bakery. There was free coffee until 9 pm, which was nice; the staff were friendly, but they do not speak very much English. When we booked our room, we asked for a parking space, but the first night our car had to stay in the street, because the staff in charge of parking was not on duty when we arrived. On the second day, we managed to get a parking space. For two nights, the hotel was ok as a base for exploring Paris, but if I had to stay more than 2 nights, I would choose a hotel with better housekeeping and aircondition.

This hotel has everything you need including the right staff. Jason was AMAZING! He pointed out all of the sights to us on maps and took so much time with us to acclimate ourselves to the area. He never steered us wrong with the right places to eat or how to get somewhere. I had studied in Paris and been here many times but this was the first time for my friend whose son was studying here. In fact, we should have listened to Jason when he told us how to get somewhere as we listened to my friend's son instead with his GPS and Jason was right! There's so much to say it's hard to know where to start First, it's located in a very up and coming neighborhood - very chic, trendy, young. I'm not saying you shouldn't be on your guard but we felt pretty safe in this area. There are cafes, bakeries and restaurants all around - no shortage here and each day we picked different places to eat (we stayed a week) and then went back to our favorites for evening treats. It is about a 7 minute walk to the metro and on the way you will pass some ateliers (or small clothing designer shops), an elementary school (which I loved as I am a kindergarten teacher), gorgeous fruit market, a supermark (3 minutes away), small bars, antique stores, and just Parisian life. By the metro is a traditional newspaper/magazine stand in front of which I had to take a photo because like who sells newspapers anymore? Our stay here was just delightful - even the rooms and hallways smelled delicious with a lemongrass scent. We did not have breakfast here but they always included fresh, yummy croissants or pain au chocolat in a basket at the welcome reception area. The lobby is comfy to sit and wait for a taxi, or plan your day. We did visit the breakfast buffet area and it was clean and beautiful but we did not eat there. At night, the hotel was a wonderful refuge to come back to. Our room was quiet, the bathroom was immaculately clean, and the beds very comfy. Every night we walked around the neighborhood, then picked up our favorite dessert, and ate in on the terrace. We met other travelers there too who were lovely to talk to. This was just a delightful stay. I have been to Paris many times and this would be my choice place to come back to. It is not in the heart of the tourist district but it was quiet and out of the way enough that you get a sense of every day Parisian life. I definitely recommend "Les Deux Giraffes" for your first or repeat visits to Paris. It just had everything you needed when you needed it.
