|6.93km from city centerWe stayed here for two nights for my sons tournament. It was (mostly) clean (a little iffy on the shower tiles and a hair in my bed) but otherwise clean. Rooms were very spacious and front desk was super helpful. The bed were very uncomfortable for me (wayyy too soft) but my family was okay. The air vent while running heat blasted directly onto my face and it was not pleasant and dried my mouth and face out. Did not provide a dish sponge but received one at the front desk and also borrowed a blender which was convenient. Pool looked clean, hot tub did not. Putting area is very small, one hole and basketball was one hoop, but fun things to do as time killers. Breakfast was probably the best quality I’ve had for a chain hotel brand. Would stay here again but only if we did not get a wheel accessible room and if the beds were not as soft.

|4.07km from city centerColorado to San Diego road-trip, A late arrival (2 am ) and very tired because unforeseen circumstances ( on the road emergencies ) my husband checked us in and Robbie the Front desk agent was very empathetic of our situation and surprised us with an upgrade to a 2 bedroom Villa - our kids were excited to have a room to themselves and were ok to wait and swim until the morning instead at night . Kids got to go to the pool in the morning after they woke up at 9:30 am , when the time for check out at 11 am obviously they were not ready to leave the pool, I called the front desk to request late check out and Laurie was kind enough to allow us, now kids want to come back to this hotel again on our next road trip!

|17.1km from city centerHot city, more than 40 degrees, this is the first experience in life. . . The hotel conforms to the Hilton style. Basically, the hotel stays at Hilton along the way. The rooms are larger, breakfast options are less, and the environment is good. Not very far from the hotel (less than $10 by taxi, you can go to Little Maggiano for dinner, a chain of Italian restaurants that I have always liked).

|5.92km from city centerI am titanium lifetime elite with marriott. Over 2000 nights with marriott. US, CANADA AND HAWAII. Checked in 5 pm dec 24. Two ladies at front desk rude and combative. We asked for room near elevator facing front of property. Was assigned a room that is the last one on the floor farthest from elevator facing back of property. We refused the room...finally given room by elevator ..room 302. After a near shouting match. A ordeal to get fresh towels...no housekeeping for the 4 nite stay. Breakfast poor selections. Property not that clean ... When we left and returned over 4 days, nobody was At the front desk...security is lax ...anyone can come and go. You can do better elsewhere. Stay somewhere else. I would rate the hotel a 3 out of 10 ( 10 being the Best) 4 year old property not being maintained. No general manager on duty during the 4 days. Bob t Houston, texas

|10.03km from city centerHave stayed at this hotel a few times, and prefer it. You will probably be impressed with the size of the rooms. It has a full kitchen with refrigerator, microwave, stove. Then the room is a living room and separate bedroom. I also like the breakfast in the morning. It has make your own waffles along with eggs, meats, yogurt, etc. Definitely not a standard continental. The service has always been great during each stay. The largest downside is probably that the lunch and dinner options are limited in the area. There are a handful of fast food places directly next to it, including some sit down quick places, but other than that in the two block radius there's not much. The immediate area is a business park with a lot of company offices. The perks for me outweigh the cons, so if you are in the area, don't hesitate to book this place. I will stay there again and again.

Tempe
|2.25km from city centerAll the rooms have now been renovated according to the cheerful front desk night attendant. We arrived very late from the airport, so were tired and got a good night’s sleep. Just a few remarks about the layout of the room. It’s great to have the sofa bed and a working/meal table plus a mini-fridge. However this leaves very little space to put your luggage and there is no dresser or closet, just a small pole at the far end of the room over a small luggage rack. I can just imagine the challenge for the couple who registered before us with 2 kids and 2 huge suitcases ! Also the bathroom entrance faces the bed and there is no door to shield the light from anybody sleeping in the bed at night. Another not so important little peeve of mine is you have to open the shower directly not through a lever when the water is warm enough, so you get a cold splash when you walk up in it to open the tap. The breakfast was decent enough, just like most hotels of this type, but everything was lukewarm, including the coffee, which was annoying. Finally, the breakfast room definitely had not been renovated and the furniture was a little worn or dirty. The elevators also made crinkly noises that made you wonder if you were going to get stuck. So all in all, it was still a good choice for a quick overnight stay after arriving at the airport (no shuttle after 10:00 p.m.) and the staff were very pleasant.

|4.91km from city centerThis location is in the nicer side of Phoenix. It was very clean and comfortable. After hours, you must use your room key to even enter the lobby, so it felt really safe. The rooms are really spacious and cozy. The beds have a dial that you can choose how soft or firm you would like it, which I thought was super cool. The shower was also really nice! I normally dislike hotel showers because they never have good water pressure or get cold quick. We had our own balcony with a nice view of the beautiful pool. The pool was heated and has a nice waterfall and bonfire at night. There’s vending machines and food and drinks for order in the lobby. It’s also super close to a ton of restaurants and stores. Over all everything was really nice. I would definitely stay again and recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Phoenix!

|5.46km from city centerWe stayed at he hotel on February 17. It is a newer property and the hotel is very clean. The rooms are also very clean and new. However, there are some design concerns with the rooms. Let's start with the bathroom door, which is a glass barn door. If you use the bathroom in the middle of the night, expect the glass door to fully illuminate the entire room. That is not great for anyone still sleeping. You never see a barn door that does not have a big gap on one end or the other, and this one is no exception. There is also no lighting to use which provides a dim light to navigate the room at night. Every light is bright! The low level single mattress (no box springs) millennial hipster beds were comfortable. The room was well decorated. We tried to have cocktails at the bar after dinner and the hotel needs to beef up the staffing there. The bartender was polite but stressed. She told me they did not have a wine and cocktail list. I found that very odd given this was a bar. She instead handed us an abbreviated meal menu with a handful of cocktail selections?? Now here is where the bar scene went south. The bartender put four bottles of wine on the counter and stated they were all $76. One of the selections was Merf Cab....which we have purchased in the grocery store for around $13.99. I refused to be financially stabbed with a price of $76. So we drove to a nearby Walgreens and bought a bottle of 19 Crimes for $17. We returned to the hotel and drank the wine in the ”M Club”, which is a nice area that you can pay to access when you book your room. The M Club is significantly more private and peaceful....AND I saved close to $60 on wine. The M Club also has a free hot breakfast in the morning. Overall this hotel is clean and has a good layout. The staff is polite and efficient. The property offers a nice option that is away from the hustle and bustle of Phoenix proper. I would recommend the property if take the above considerations under advisement.

|9.12km from city centerUpdate: Pretty sure I got a sinus infection from my room. (See review and photos) Not the worst Hotel I've ever stayed in, but the worst Hilton experience so far. The only redeeming feature of this hotel is it's proximity. 1. Proximity to the job site I worked out of 2. Proximity to the Airport 3. Proximity away from crime When I arrived, the atrium was nice and the pool area is actually really nice. When I opened the door to the room, the musty smell hit almost immediately. Thankfully because it's PHX, I was able to open the window and run the fan to get some fresh air into the room. Only after 3 afternoons of doing this same practice did it finally start smelling less musty by Wednesday night. I inspected the HVAC intake and noticed that the filters appeared to have an installed date. I think it says 1-26-2022 (or 1-24-2022) either way I'm no HVAC expert, but I believe even the best filters need to be changed more than that... only 1 out of the 4 toiletries had anything in it or the only one actually working. (see photos) Since I work all day, I didn't feel like making it a big thing at the front desk. Should I have? I guess I could have, but for Hilton Honors users, we have a handy app that lets you use your phone as a key among other features. one of them is to communicate with the hotel. I decided to try it out and sent a message on Tuesday. No response. On my last evening, I sent one other message. (see photos) I'm a fairly forgiving guy, but considering this is one of the only supposed ”4-star” hotels in the vicinity, I was hoping for a little more. They don't service the room but once every 5 days (unless you ask for it, but again; Why have a communication feature if you don't monitor it?) if I come back to Phoenix, This will NOT be my first choice. I'm going to say right now, I'll probably look in nearby Tempe or some other suburb and risk the 20-30min. commute than stay here again.

|16.29km from city centerHolly needs a bonus for making everyone feel so welcome and special every weekday at breakfast. Her attention to details was amazing. The weekend breakfast staff does not compare, could hardly ever find them for basic needs. We can't say enough nice things about her. Our room was OK, sofa material was scratchy so when sitting with shorts on, it was uncomfortable. Shower and water pressure amazing. AC kept the room a perfect temperature. Housekeeping was helpful during our 8 day stay. We only bothered them for new towels and trash emptying. Location, also very convenient, close to restaurants and shopping. Pool had a good mix of shade and sun depending on your preference and our room overlooked the pool. The staircase carpet was a bit worn and coming up in spots which could become a safety hazard. I do take the stairs often that's how I know. The front staff is friendly and kind. I can't explain it but the lobby has a smell to it, it can't be a moisture issue because of how dry Arizona is but its something, as I am sensitive to smells. Overall, we would stay again when in town to visit family, as long as Holly is still there :)

Tempe
|0.26km from city centerThis review is long overdue. Had to stay here on a mission to help a family member this past summer, definitely not a vacation stay and this hotel suited our needs very well, with one exception, I'll get to that in a bit. First thing: we got in late on a Sunday night and I was really hungry, The woman working the front desk on Sunday June 27th 2021 went above and beyond to try and find food for us, even offering to go into the closed hotel kitchen to scrounge something up. Then she called several places until she found one open and helped negotiate the whole transaction, being very patient with me and my exhausted brain failures. When she did secure a food delivery, told me to go on up to the room and she would deal with the delivery driver. I've gotten less help at a 5 star hotel, this person seemed to have genuine concern for us and I failed completely in that I didn't tip her (so tired I forgot, sorry!) and didn't even get her name to mention her here. I assumed I'd see her again. Hope she somehow sees this review, so grateful for the help. Beyond that the hotel had a fantastic lobby, good clean modern design all over with cooler colors in the rooms, comfortable beds, good room layout, clean, nice bathroom. Very reasonably priced. We only had one problem in a week long stay, one night some very loud people stayed in the next room, at least 4 or 5 people going in and out all night and talking super loud. Couldn't figure out if the walls were really thin or if the people were just louder than average humans, probably both, but leaning on the people being especially loud. Given the proximity to the university, this type of thing is to be expected really, and I don't actually blame the hotel, it's just something to be aware of. The front desk were helpful in the matter in that they were willing to tell us those people weren't booked for another night, but if we continued to have problems we could let them know, so hotel staff did what they could. All in all for the very good price I was satisfied with our stay, it was nearly perfect for our needs and that Sunday night desk person was an absolute life saver.

|0.9km from city centerWe book each 2-Zimmer-Suiten and have always been satisfied so far. This time we experienced that these looks quite different: book a suite with room number 260 or 360, the suites with numbers 234 and 334 have bedrooms with a micro window, so also over the day only with Artificial light is something to see. But we are particularly disappointed by the bar at night: at fairly ordinary prices, one is served a gin tonic and a beer in a small plastic cup. This is really better in this hotel price class. For breakfast we recommend Denny's just next to (yes, they have porcelain wardrobe!).

|4.72km from city centerWe stay at Hilton properties across the country. We have stayed in Scottsdale for years. This was our first time in Tempe. We were thrilled with our stay. This was a first time traveling with my hubby on Peritoneal Dialysis. The portable machine flew with us but all do.unions- there were boxes and boxes were delivered directly to the hotel. When we arrived, the hotel staff had all the boxes in our suite. We had terrific communication with Maria, Sami Erin before and during our stay. What terrific ambassadors they are. The breakfast was lovely. The staff could not have been more accommodating. Carm was just wonderful. We love pool time. The pool was clean. Just wished there was bar service at the pool. We have already booked our next stay there.

|2.91km from city centerThe room was clean and decent for the price but I was disappointed that the breakfast was extra and the pool / hot tub doesn't appear to be open. I tried visiting the pool at 10 at night and at 7:50 in the morning. Also saw guests trying to use the pool after 8 in the morning without any luck. Perhaps the hours are such that it is unavailable a lot of the time which is annoying b/c that is one of the perks of the hotel and its enclosed so you'd think they'd keep that open. Also this particular location is not the best in that It's in a crappier area of town. Some shady characters walking around the outside. Was expecting better for the price but I have stayed at much worse hotels.

|26.45km from city centerWe stay in a lot of hotels this price point because of our business. Super nice hotel. Comfortable beds/nice loud TV, great shower although it has that darned soft water. Nicen linens and cotton blankets on the beds. Refrigerator and Keurig machines. Ice machine that works. Only a few issues. You are charged for bottles of water. We are used to traveling with hotels that give you the cheap bottles of water for free. We don't need expensive hoity toity bottle adding to the bill. The air conditioning kept resetting itself during the night higher than we liked so we kept waking from stuffiness. You have to pay for breakfast and they don't serve til 7 on the weekends. The ac may be a deal breaker for a place that is 105 degrees in May.

|11.34km from city centerThe house prices are really not cheap. The townhouses and apartments in this area were bought casually at the price of 30,000 to 40,000 US dollars in 2008. So the relative land prices, the hotel is really profitable, and the hotel has a $ 39 resort fee. Ctrip is not included in the price. So be very careful when ordering, except for local tyrants. The hotel has a lot of ”pits”. I ordered a self-service restaurant at night, so no tip was given. After signing the order, the bank sent a text message. The price increased by 20 [%] Fortunately, the bank presided over justice. The place for breakfast was not labeled, but the ordinary Crossint and donuts in a supermarket each cost $ 4 for a total of $ 8. Fortunately only booked for one day

|2.82km from city centerThis was my family and I's fourth or fifth stay at the Canyon Suites at The Phoenician. Every single time the service has been top notch. The staff remembers our names, gives a gift to my children, and always provides something a little extra, be it snacks with a free movie or a free Smores kit. The breakfast, while minimal is great. Without looking like a Homewood Suites or something, they provide you with high quality and well cut fruit, yogurt, oatmeal, and always a breakfast entree. The staff is the best I have encountered at any hotel in the states. The ONLY negative thing I had to say was we experienced ants at the pool at three different locations, even one time before we even had any food or drinks. I know we are in the middle of the desert right at the base of a mountain, but that has to be improved. The issue is not enough to lower the review, just something to be noted.

|9.22km from city centerHad booked our room on booking.com and received a confirmation number. Two women at the counter and it took both of them to take care of one customer. So I waited and when I gave them my name and confirmation number they said I wasn't in the system. I've heard this happening from other reviewers at other hotels. We ended up paying more for a smaller room. Although the room was satisfactory, it was run down and some might call it ”a dump”. Room was clean and beds comfortable. Bit of road noise but solid walls and halls quiet. Area seemed ”sketchy”. There were homeless men in the street and on sidewalk. We discovered a tent camp next to the parking lot. Not the best area but we felt safe. I just can't recommend this hotel and will never stay in a Red Roof Inn again. I'd say this was okay if you're looking for a budget hotel, but we didn't pay a budget price. Stay away!!
