|27.48km from city centerFantastic stay! Made accommodations through Ola Properties (so friendly and easy to work with). Our condo was so spacious, clean, quiet, and gorgeous view (beach tower 610). Slider doors open fully ip the lanai, so beautiful! Beach chairs, boogie boards, most kitchen accessories you’ll need, laundry detergent, even a clothing steamer! Pool area is kept very clean, in working order. Music out at the pool side bar was classy and low key! Staff was the friendliest we experienced during our entire trip. Lagoon felt comfortable and safe for swimming for our younger two. One day there was a bit of a rowdy crowd but the lagoon is big enough to just venture elsewhere when we felt it was too rowdy for our littles safety. If we ever return to Oahu we will definitely stay again. Cons: mattresses were hard, but pillows were very comfortable. We have two competitive swimmers that needed to get laps in and hoped to use the lap lane but one side was a bit too shallow and often had quite a number of people hanging out. Not a huge deal they just headed to the lagoon and got in a workout.

Everything you need is provided: fully equipped kitchen, snorkels, fins, chairs, umbrellas - so many items! The customer service was awesome - every text was answered. But we didn't need to contact very often as their arrival and departure instructions are incredibly clear. The bay is paradise. There are also hiking trails that you can walk or horseback on, golf, and a pool. It is a short drive to Halewai, Shark's Cove and Waimea Falls. Would definitely return!

|3.48km from city centerWe had 4 nights at the Waikiki Monarch and found it to be a strange experience. We booked it through Booking.com and stayed in apartment 2703A. On the positive side, our apartment had an amazing view of Waikiki, right out to the ocean, as well as along the canal – very inspiring! The location also was very good, situated on the western end of Wikiki. It was only a 10min walk to the beach and about 10min over to Ala Moana Mall and beach park. There was a good internet-enabled TV with about every channel and streaming service you could want – really a nice setup. On the negative side, the apartment was not very well cleaned upon our arrival, especially the floor. A couple of the dining chairs and the couch were covered in stains and were downright disgusting. The apartment was lacking a few basics, such as bedside cabinets and dressers/drawers for storing clothes. I had to lay out all my clothes on the floor along the hallway wall. We also felt the lighting was quite dim in the evenings. The kitchen was small and outfitted with only the basics. The kitchen faucet was loose and about ready to fall off – a little basic maintenance would’ve been nice. Another thing that was odd was that there was no reception or other onsite staff which could be called on if required. We were told to collect our key from a little lock box. We arrived at around 1pm, and since we weren’t allowed to check in until the very late hour of 4pm, we asked if we could store our bags and were told we actually had to pay for bag storage ($5/bag) for the 3 hours. It’s the first time we’ve ever had the experience of having to pay for bag storage at the hotel while waiting for check-in! Not impressed! In any case, we won’t be staying here anytime soon. Not recommended – there are so many far better places to stay in Waikiki. Don’t make the mistake we did.

Also, a super fun bar (Wang Chung's) inside the lobby, one of the best in Waikiki. After that...blah. The bed was comfortable, except for the fact that my feet hung off the bed....and I'm just a medium-tall person. Pancakes at IHOP thicker then their pillows...and I'm barely exaggerating. TV never worked. There were big rainstorms, which was their excuse....but after 3 days of bright sunshine, still no tv. Even then, there's so little furniture in the room that you can't even see the TV cuz the lamp covers it up...you have to place the lamp on the floor to see the TV, when it works. Finally...manager....PLEASE stop pulling your mask down to speak with guests. You should know better.

Another special thanks to Dana, who kept me on constant supply of delicious speciality coffee! |4.08km from city centerAbsolutely gorgeous location & fantastic unit with an great patio to enjoy morning coffee, afternoon lunch and of course a great sunset. With all the positives I would not stay here again for a couple of reasons. The main reason is that it is not convenient to get to the North Shore. In all my research I did not realize the road going North is not open for traffic. It still appears as a road on maps but apparently it has been washed out so many times they decided to to repair the road. So you had to go 30 minutes south then go 30 more minutes to go North. That was an hour of travel time (on a good day & time of day)to get to the North Shore. A second negative was the amount of homeless tent cities. The majority of local beaches in that area were taken over by the homeless, not a place for tourists. I will add that there were no problems on the beach at this hotel. It was a very beautiful beach and quiet beach. The waves were large so great if you want to be daring and body surf or boogie board, not so great for little kids or just floating. If you are looking for quiet and have no plans to travel around the island this could be a good choice.

*Environmental location, next to Wakiki Beach and on the main road, it is very convenient to be connected in all directions. Convenience stores and restaurants, trolly stations, public beaches, and zoos are all very close and within walking distance.
*Room facilities, the hotel has a history of a hundred years, so it is very stylish, but the city view room in the Diamond Building is so bad! ! ! ! Not as good as the new 3 star hotel rooms. (Pictured below are the benefits of room upgrade with the Marriott Platinum Card. I booked the cheapest room, but it turned out that booking through a third party did not provide any membership benefits. In the Maui fire, the hotel was full, and I wanted to upgrade temporarily but there was no room). The room is old, with an area of less than 20 square meters. Morning and night, I am woken up either by cars on the road or by the phone in the next room. A very bad experience!
* Service, remind the guests to check the bill carefully. After staying for 5 nights, the wrong bill was charged on 4 days. They checked it out one by one when they checked out, and the wrong money was refunded after 4 days.
In short, don't try to be cheap when booking a room. The small and shabby room type is not as good as staying in Hyatt or Marriott. The price/performance ratio is too low!

The kitchen was an absolute plus to our stay, making it much easier to accommodate our young kids during down time in the hotel. They had plenty of room to play/hang out comfortably without being on top of our stuff in the comfortable bedroom/king size bed. Parking was convenient, and the walkability to important kid stuff (ABC Store, Waikiki Wall, Honolulu Zoo, good food trucks). Absolutely would recommend and stay here again in the future with our young family.

You can find everything you need in this resort and there are ABC stores inside and we can buy all our souvenirs very easy. I will strongly recommend this hotel to my friend. Just one things that there is no bottle water provided and no boiling machine and you need to buy your bottle water on your own.

Beautiful balcony views of Diamond Head and the ocean. Extremely convenient to everything. Private parking available for purchase, and totally worth every penny. Our bed was surprisingly so comfortable, the room was immaculate, and also had a full kitchen of everything you could possibly need. We can’t wait to come back!

|27.27km from city centerFirst off, we’ve been staying here for 18 years. We love the lagoons and it’s away from the hustle and bustle of Waikiki. We’re the “lay on the beach all day” type of family so this place is our favorite resort. Every room we’ve had through the years has been clean, wonderful views, except one time we had a parking lot view, which was fine since we’re at the beach most of the time. Cons: The pool chair hogs and check out time. They should really implement a system like other resorts. Most chairs are empty all day with a towel saving the spot and no one sitting there for hours. Our one time at the pool, we only got seats later in the afternoon at 3pm. Also check out time at 10am is way too early. Would be nice to check out at noon like other places. Now for the Pros, the resort and lagoons are beautiful. The water is warm, my teenagers like to snorkel at the end of the lagoon. We typically stay in a 1 or 2 bedroom villa, this past stay it was nice to see the Nai’a tower remodeled. Love the full kitchen and in room laundry/dryer. My daughter loves to participate in the daily resort activities - lei making, ti leaf bracelets and temporary tattoos. My son frequents the gym and it is 24 hours. Plus for the peloton bikes! Now for the staff. I love their aloha spirit, so warm and friendly. They are fantastic! I need to give a shout out to Melvin Ratto - Resort Ambassador. I met him in one of our past stays at the cabana hut. We came back another time, he remembered us as well. This past week, he personally came by our beach cabana to say hello! He really is the best, makes sure our stay is comfortable! Shannon at the bell desk is awesome, gave us some food recommendations which was nice. The cabana hut workers Kalai, Nathan, Jordan and Braedon, also super friendly, personable, great guys! Maintaining great attitudes for working in the heat all day. Our housekeeper Melban, very understanding for coming back at a later time to clean our room. Thanks to the staff for making our stay wonderful. We always have a great time staying here and hope to continue coming back.

It was convenient because there were bus stops to Poke Restaurant, famous pubs, and Alamoana Wilmart. The reason I chose this hotel is that I don't have to rent a car for a full-day tour such as Oahu Island Tour, Turtle Snorkeling, and Hawaii Folk Show Ruau, so I can sleep, so I pay hotel blood and stay at a famous hotel. Because there was no need. I was in the Wicolona Village, such as Big Ilan for 4 days, but I couldn't go to the hotel lounge or swimming pool because I was doing activities all day, and I couldn't see the famous dolphins, but I paid for the hotel blood and slept. It was so wasteful that I got this accommodation in Oahu, which is convenient for transportation, and I was satisfied with the choice. However, a very historical incident occurred and I filmed a movie that I will never forget. I laugh now, but how cool I was. On the first day, I was willing to eat beer and steak in the pub, so I left the card key at the hostel, and in the evening, there was no front desk, so no one opened the door. I can't contact the emergency contact network. . . Eventually, I asked for help with Trip.com online chat, but the hotel person said that I had to wait to read the email ㅠ. We went around the beach for 3 hours to find the bathroom, but we couldn't do anything, so we went back to our accommodation. On the roadside, we were scared to find out where the homeless appeared and started sleeping. I went into the police station, contacted the consulate, said, entered another hotel, said, his head was messy, and 30 minutes from the door of the hostel, he said, ”I'm glad that the manager was in the building and came out sleeping.” Opened the door. I saw an emergency email from Trip.com or was caught by the sound of the phone we were hanging on, so I could go to the hostel at 12 o'clock. Never leave your card key. The downside of this hostel was that it was hot, but I gave a thin blanket and slept with only a quilt. The advantage is that it is narrow because it is a window, but it is less stuffy and has a microwave, coffee maker, black tea, dish spoon fork, shower supplies, enough towels, etc. Rooms are not cleaned, laundry facilities are available, and chair boards to be taken to the beach are rented for free. Of course, there is no resort blood. Wow~ It will be a place that I will never forget for a lifetime.

|5.2km from city centerUhhhhh..... We stayed in this hotel because our flight got in late and we needed a place close to the airport to crash for one night. This hotel fits that purpose well. That said, I wouldn't recommend this hotel for any other situation other than the one I just described. They were pumping sewage right outside of our door the morning we woke up. Also, our room key didn't work the morning we were checking out. The only other positive of this hotel is that it is within walking distance of THE BEST little food place we came across on our whole trip: Joe's Grill Express. We cannot wait to come back so we can visit Joe's again.

We really enjoyed our stay here because of the staff, because of the activities they had planned for the guests and the location to get to everywhere we wanted to go. Getting there. It was about a 45 minute drive from the airport that started at about 5pm. It was an easy drive with a lot of great scenic views along the way. Hotel Location - I found the location to be an ideal location for us and our itinerary (Haleiwa town - Matsumoto Shave Ice, the food trucks - Fumi’s,Giovannies and Romy’s, Dole Plantation, Kualoa Ranch, Byodo Temple Inn, Hukilau Market and the Polynesian Cultural Centre) Right off the highway you find yourself located a short walking distance across the front parking lot to get some food at the Hukilau Market at the Polynesian Cultural Centre or McDonald’s), Foodland for groceries and food counter (2 min drive north), a short drive to the North Sore Taco, CVS to get other supplies including beer just a 3-5 min drive south The Bedroom - we stayed in one of the King Suites. This was a large room with lots of space. The main bedroom had plenty of space and storage for clothes and a very comfortable bed.. It also had a couple of chairs that we ultimately used to create a sitting area in the kitchen. the TV in the room was big and worked fine. The Living room had plenty of space and was big. The foldout had a cushion mattress on top and there is a second cushion/mattress in the closet in the bedroom. Using both is a must for a comfortable mattress on the sofa bed. I slept on the sofa bed and was able to get a comfortable good nights sleep. The air conditioner is right beside the bed so if you are a person that does not like the cold, it is something to consider. There was a kitchen area/living room area where we ate and hung out. There were plenty of seats and chairs to accommodate us having some friends over to the room for some dinner and some drinks. The fridge in this room (had a freezer too) was a really good size and much larger than the fridges in the regular rooms. Amenities. The exercise room was on okay size. I did not use it but it did go in to take a look around. The pool and hot tub were great. They had cabanas that you could rent. We did not rent them but I believe it was $20 for a couple of hours. Laundry. They had laundry on site but given our visit was at the beginning of our trip we did not use the facilities. Anything you need for doing laundry can be bought at either Foodland or CVS. Outdoor sitting area. There is a lot of room with lots of seats but very popular for gatherings. Lobby. Very large and comfortable lobby area to gather and relax. Bistro. I did not use the bistro aside from getting a coffee one morning.

The biggest bonus is that there is a very delicious restaurant opposite. Probably because I have eaten at a pretty good restaurant on Oahu.
The place opposite is more lively, and I found it to be more lively than the Wakiki Sheraton where we stayed. Next time I come back I will stay at a hotel in the Hilton Village opposite.

The room is nearly 4,000 yuan a night with twin beds and ocean view. The room is not very big and water is not provided for free. Only two bottles are provided for 5 knives a bottle. Most of the front desk staff are Japanese. The service attitude is okay and the sea view is of course great!

Had to cancel again and they honored my price for 2022! I was impressed with that. Hotel is in a great location-you can play in the ocean and see Diamond Head and we were lucky enough to spot two sea turtles. (one was a baby) You can walk to International Market Place, Al Moana shopping center, and Beach Walk Street with many good Restaurants. and Lewers Street. Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center down the street also. We didn't get a rental car and took an uber 4 times and had several tours booked where you get picked up and dropped off. Much cheaper than a rental car and having to pay $50 a night just to park the rental car at the hotel. Hotel was in definite need of a remodel. Was told would have a higher level room and put on first floor. We requested to move next day. Moved to 9th floor. Room was clean, hotel was clean, restaurant was very clean. People were friendly. Lots to do on Oahu. A lot of people here.

Gourmet food. We've had 2 brunches and an opulent dinner there. Our first time in Hawaii & what an incredible start to this trip. We spoke to hotel staff who, offered us a higher room and we noticed the AC was a newer system, not in the wall causing open window and it was overall so much more enjoyable. The hotel is of course not 5* but the rooms were tidy and comfortable. The entrance to the pool is slightly difficult and strange with improper signage and a staircase to get there (not wheelchair friendly). In terms of location, the beach is incredibly close although the hotel is situated on a more (dodgy) street than where I stayed previously. I would stay here again if I knew I was going to be in the same room due to its price and location 😊

We decided to stay at the Residence in Kapolei Oahu and had a wonderful time. The hotel is in a great location, near Raising Canes, 7-Eleven, and Starbucks, which are all within walking distance of the hotel. About a mile and a half away is the Ka Makana Ali’i mall. The front desk staff was very courteous and welcoming. Our room was comfortable and clean. The only thing I can say about the room is the pillows were a little too soft for my taste. I like them a little firmer, but that is a very minor issue. The free breakfast is delicious. It comes with a buffet that offers scrambled eggs, choices of meat , make your own toast or waffles, fruits, cereals, and fruit juices, and coffee. The hotel had a special going on for local residents so we took advantage of that package. We used the gym equipment on both days but didn’t have a chance to use the pool. Unfortunately, we forgot to leave a tip for our housekeeper upon check out. I ended up calling the hotel to see if I could get the name of the housekeeper who cleaned our room after we checked out I was told her name is Abby. So, Abby, I will be stopping by one day to bring you a little something for your hard work. Thank you to all the staff at the Residence Inn Kapolei Oahu for making our stay so comfortable and enjoyable. We will definitely be coming back again. I highly recommend this hotel,

Walking distance to a ton of restaurants, bars, shopping and Waikiki beach. At check in, we were greeted by friendly staff and treated to a complementary drink. Every member of the hotel staff we interacted with were super friendly and welcoming. The hotel is pet friendly and it was great to see so many people with their pups on vacation. Hotel employees are extremely friendly and helpful. I was very concerned about the hotel when I got off the elevator on the 14th floor. The hallways are dated and uninviting. However, upon entering the room I was pleasantly surprised. The room was clean, plenty spacious for a solo traveler (and would be acceptable for 2 travelers), and had a great view of the ocean. The continental breakfast offered fruit, pastries, boiled eggs, cereal, toast, and waffles. The best part of the stay was Leo at the bell desk. He was extremely friendly, and provided excellent service (he even noticed that I dropped my apple watch cover and held it for me until my return later that day). Be sure to get to know Leo, and don't forget to tip your service providers!

There were 5 of us for 5 nights and cost us $190usd each. We were all 50+ yrs old. We were lucky enough not to have anyone else join us. Brooke was great at check in, very patient as we were checked in 1 at a time. You're given clean sheets/pillowcase and towel. We got to our room and unfortunately discovered there was rubbish underneath the beds, weren't very impressed with that and one of our friends mentioned this and whilst we were out having lunch Dan was in cleaning the whole room, very impressed. We also got an apology from the manager explaining there was a miscommunication of cleaning the room. The room had 8 individual lockers for valuables only but you have to buy a padlock for them. Our dorm had mini fridge, microwave, elements plus ensuite with shower in a bath and toilet. Unfortunately the toilet didn't always flush straight away but we sussed it out. The security was great, opened the door with GOKI app on phone. Parking is terrible though we had to park sometimes up to 1km for free parking or you can park in the Honolulu Zoo across the road for $1.50 per hour for maximum 4hrs. One of the best parts about the location is a 5min walk to the BEACH. Hostel provides tubes, chairs to take down which we used a few times, we saw sunrises and sunsets just beautiful. 2nd best thing is the amazing young staff, nothing a bother whatsoever so great to see. So overall would us over 50/60yr olds stay here again? 💯 You have to think smarter, and from NZ our dollar was 56c in USD. We made it work, would highly recommend 👌 and spent our accommodation savings at ROSS stores 😁
