I stayed in Raleigh a single night on my way to Columbia, SC. I picked this hotel based on reviews on Tripadvisor and paid with Hilton Honor points. I got a nice reception by the receptionist, including a bag with a couple of water bottles and snacks (being a Silver Hilton Honors member). The room was clean. Despite being in the direction of I-40, it was fairly quiet and I managed to have a good night sleep. Breakfast was the standard, good breakfast of Hampton Inn with a selection of cold and hot choices. The cooked choices were hot (and not cold, as I experienced the previous day in another hotel). The location was convenient, close to Route 1 with which I continued my journey to Columbia.

Ther was no toilet paper in the bathroom and a used bar of soap in the shower with a hair on it. Not to mention the frozen bottle of soda in left in the top of the fridge. They did have friendly service and a decent breakfast

More than 10 hours from New York City, the car did not light off at the exit of 293, found this hotel area nearby, there are 3 hotels, this and the other are owned by Marriott, from Raleigh Uber 13 in the central area, we arrived at 6 o'clock in the morning, another best western hotel in the same hospital has to wait until 3 pm, but the front desk agrees to stay immediately, including breakfast, no need for any meal coupons, Marriott The hotel is fantastic! In addition, the house price changes very much every day, the double bed room on Saturday includes more than 640 inclusive of taxes, and the twin room on Sunday contains 4 early 539 tax, and Monday has become 800, including tax, I don't know why... .

I stayed over the weekend in February & was absolutely impressed by the service I received. Check-in was quick and friendly! The breakfast was delightful. Katrina in the kitchen assisted me with all my needs. As a kitchen supervisor, to see the display and cleanliness in the breakfast/dining area at the hotel I was impressed. There was food being brought out fresh and the areas around the food were being kept clean. Katrina interacted with the guest and made us feel comfortable, almost nearly as if we were home! I would definitely recommend if you need a get away & good energy! Thanks Katrina for completing our stay!

We stayed here for a weekday concert at the PNC Arena, a pleasant and easy 15 min walk. It is an okay midgrade chain hotel that charges for the access and convenience rather than amenities. We arrived at 5:00 and were told our room was not ready (check in is at 4:00) and got a free coke for our 20 minute wait. It seems they are suffering from lack of housekeeping help and the front desk had no idea what the housekeepers were doing. Everybody who checked in had to wait. The front desk was very friendly but did not seem to be in charge. Since the PNC Arena charges $40 for parking it seems this hotel has just added that to their room price, i.e. an overpriced room for the privilege of the walking convenience. The small bar was overwhelmed by the post concert crowd, but to the lone bartenders credit, she stayed open late (post 10:00) and kept the drinks coming. The room was large and clean after waiting a while for the lone elevator, okay HVAC, comfortable bed, but the pillows were horrible flat chunks of foam. The $10.75 breakfast (mediocre although real eggs and over cooked sausage) should have been included for the inflated room rate. It's worth paying for the convenience for the PNC but we wouldn't stay there if not for that reason. You can find the same quality for less not too far away, but then you'd have a commute and a $40 parking charge. Name your poison.

The hotel has a great location, because everything is withing walking distance, which is very convenient. McDonal's is across the street, as well as an outdoor shopping center with Marshall's, Petco, Old Navy, and so on. Not to mention restaurants, Olive Garden, Chick Fil'A, Starbucks, and more. Mandy, Manager, is very professional, accommodating, and willing to serve. Rick, front desk, is very dedicated to his work, and he also has a smile on his face, which makes you feel welcomed. Raz, front desk, has good work ethic. Erika, front desk, has excellent customer service skills, and she is always willing to serve. Angelina, front desk, is other people centered. Alba, housekeeping, makes sure that the rooms get cleaned properly, and she does a great job cleaning as well. The bed is very comfortable, and the room has good lay out. I feel welcomed, and at home staying at Red Roof Inn, Cary, NC Overall, the Manager, the staff, the room, and the location meet and exceed my expectations.

I stayed here in August of 2022 for two nights and then had a flight cancellation so I stayed another night. The hotel is nice and the amenities are also good. So, I would recommend staying here. The pool is open until 11 PM and is indoors. The breakfast was also nice.

We stayed at the country Inn and suites because it was one of the few hotels that would accommodate us for a long stay park and fly with our car. The car was going to be there for 20 days. The hotel is very convenient to the airport the breakfast was very nice. To service notes: They had no record of our request upon check in the night before for a shuttle for 1 o’clock. They informed us the shuttle driver was going to leave at noon and so we had to rush to get ready and board that shuttle to the airport. In the rush to board the shuttle I left a jacket in the lobby area. I called the hotel desk from the airport talked to the clerk who found the jacket and labeled it very carefully so that 20 days later when we returned it was there for me to pick up. Very nice work much appreciated.

I had a wonderful solo getaway at the Umstead in July, 2024. I highly recommend staying on the ground (spa) level if you can because you have a serene outdoor porch that is shaded from the hot direct sun. The landscaping is beautiful and you feel very secluded amongst the trees and wildlife. The hotel is also very quiet. I could go on and on about the luxurious spa, but just book it. Everyone I met was very friendly and accommodating. The hotel is pricy, but it's well worth the money. The food is excellent (I had room service,) and many details are well thought-out, such as the water and ice machine in the hallway (LOVE) as well as the sheets, iPad in the rooms, bath products and the structure of the shower. It was a required respite for me, and I left feeling rejuvenated and calm. You will not be disappointed. A+

We stayed here for three nights this past weekend. I received an email that I could check in online, so I did. As I confirmed the check-in, a notice showed up at the bottom stating there would be no housekeeping during our stay. For the prices we paid, this is unacceptable. We own several hotels as a side business and struggle with workers being hired like anyone else, but the rooms get cleaned. Covid is no longer an excuse. This is not an extended stay style property, and guests expect daily housekeeping. We did request it once to see, and nothing happened. The hot breakfast items were cold and unappetizing. I ate there the first day and didn't bother the next two mornings because it was so bad. The front desk team is not very friendly, and two of them could barely be bothered to get up from their seat to help us when we requested more towels. One said that we could have had housekeeping service if we requested it, but we tried that and we didn't receive it. The room overall was clean when we checked in, but there were certain areas that did not receive updates, such as the bathroom. Our tub faucet and handle were very worn and old; our shower pressure was quite good. The toilet flushed twice every time you flushed it. We had also reserved our room a year in advance due to college graduation. We were assigned a different room type. When we came back to the front desk, the attendant told us they were out of that room type. All of a sudden, he found one. What? The next day, we were talking to one of the front desk attendants and they could not find our name with our room number because the prior attendant never moved us in the system.

Very good location, close to several shopping areas, one within walking distance; room appeared to be clean. No mildew around bathroom fixtures which has been my gripe with even some so-called luxury hotels. There was a satisfactory complimentary breakfast, though high carbohydrates. Other than milk or yogurt, cold boiled eggs were it for protein. But is you're hungry and pressed for time, the complimentary breakfast was adequate; the coffee was good and strong. Traveling alone for a funeral, I felt the environment was safe. Would stay again and would recommend to family and friends.

I must say this place is amazing. The staff here is second to none. Convenient location. I highly recommend this motel to anyone. Prices right and huge rooms. I mean huge. I checked into this hotel 3 Sundays ago. I parked in front of camera on the side of building. Went up to the room, came back down and went to Walmart. Went back to room and was there about an hour. About 5:30 or so I was going to get some dinner. Someone had tried to break in my driver's side and passenger's front windows were cracked. My back passenger's window was busted and someone had opened my center console and glove box. I didn't want to have my vehicle parked there overnight so I talked to front desk person who said she would see about getting me a credit for the room since I didn't stay. I have called 5 times, leaving messages with person who answered the phone each time and last time was this Monday I left a voice mail on managers phone. Still no reply. I have an office in Cary since 2015 and have stayed at this hotel over 100 times. Yet they don't think I'm important enough to return my calls. Not a good way to run a business.

Booked a king room. Upon arrival we were informed the room was on the fourth floor, and without elevator access. So we were given a much smaller room on the first floor and told since they had to make the change, they would waive the pet fee upon receiving the bill. We were still charged a pet fee. No hairdryer in the room. My husband went to the front desk to ask for one and was told housekeeping would bring one to the room shortly they never came. He went out to look for housekeeping staff found hotel employee standing outside the door, smoking and screaming into her phone, vulgar profanities unacceptable staff behavior, especially when there were children within earshot of this.

My husband and I are scouting out the area, and stayed here for 3 nights. It's a great hotel in a great area. Everything is close by--the city and suburbs--and it was a pleasant, comfortable stay. They offer breakfast ($8 for continental; $14 for buffet...it was worth it). Wifi is free. We requested housekeeping one of the days we were there. The front desk was helpful and friendly and accommodated us as needed.

This is an old hotel that is a little banged up around the edges. Details..the female receptionist at checkin was not especially friendly. The room itself was huge. It was pretty clean and everything worked. However be aware that this is central A/C and the windows do not open. The mini fridge has no icemaker. There is a one cup coffeemaker with only two packs provided. One of the sinks was slow to drain. Breakfast is continental from 6am to 9am, hard boiled eggs, small yogurts, bananas, waffles etc. Lobby water and coffee with real half and half was 24/7 (no lids). I did not take the shuttle (note there are somewhat reduced hours) but the rental car terminal is not even a 10 minute drive. There are some fast food places nearby. Plenty of parking although you may or may not find the luggage carts available during peak hours. The elevator is a little slow. No in room safe. Beds good, not noisy inside the room.

I arrived for a one night stay at this Extended Stay location and was greeted by Angel at the reception. Due to the the circumstances (pandemic), there was no breakfast offered and there was plastic shielding hotel staff from guests. Angel quickly advised me that she was not ill, but was simply taking precautions with her face mask and large hand gloves (they were the kind I use to wash dishes at home). She also mentioned that the credit card keypad was sanitized, that the hotel was taking all precautionary measures. What I appreciated most were her professionalism, her calm demeanour and that she mentioned any assistance or questions I might have, she was there to assist. Many thanks to Angel for the warm welcome and for being of service during this time. The king bed was firm, just how I prefer, was very comfortable. In addition, the room was equipped with a kitchenette (I believe my room was 117 facing the back parking area). All in all, was a decent price for the amenities.

I've stayed at this hotel several times and for lack of a better term, it's a mixed bag. Admittedly, the building's exterior is reminiscent of student housing on some university campus or even barracks, the rooms themselves have been updated recently, so the interior decor is fresh and modern. The rooms are USUALLY clean and I've felt safe during COVID that my rooms are sanitized as well as possible. However, on my last stay, I found a broken plastic cup in the freezer that had been filled with water, allowed to freeze and subsequently the plastic cracked and a large shard was laying off to itself. It was plastic, I wasn't injured. Then, in the bathroom I discovered a towel hanging on the back of the door that was not part of the inventory of towels left for my stay. This did cause me some concern on just how much attention Housekeeping is putting into their routine tasks. The heat / air is easy to control in the room, and the place is usually quiet. The front desk staff has always been quite courteous . On one stay, the gentleman at the front desk seemed genuinely apologetic that they had overbooked rooms that night and my room was gone. He called another property and basically transferred my pre-paid reservation to that property. I appreciated his follow-through. The hotel is convenient to shopping (Bass ProShop and several specialty retailers across Weston Pkwy at The Aboretum. Extensive dining options are within walking distance from Burger King, McDonald's, and Chic-fil-A, and Wendy's, to Dame's Chicken and Waffles, Burger Fi, Starbucks, and Ruth's Chris. My only consistent complaint would be their internet service. Even if you pay for the upgraded service, you're still dropping too frequently. Tech support was of little help.

When I got there, the front desk attendant told me that the room that I booked they didn’t have those types of rooms in their hotel. So I had to take two double twin bed rooms. Which was fine. Breakfast not great, only muffins, yogurts, and cheese & egg biscuits. They were short staffed so housingkeeping was not great. When I went both I found beer bottles and dirty towels behind things. When I checked out I told them that all that that we help tidy up things. Hotel was ok. Beds was comfortable. Great customer service and hope they find help soon.
