Hotels Near Wakijaya In Takayama
0.23km from downtownI chose this hotel due to its location only 50-70meter away from Sannomachi Street which is the best address in Takayama where all old and beautiful Machiyas (japanese old wooden houses) are located. The hotel is also only 3 minutes walk from the famous Red Bridge. From the beginning you entered the hotel, friendly staff with very good english ability. The room is considered spacious and the beds are super comfortable. I really loved the adaptor they provided, it has different/multiple cable connectors to your iphone or android phones. The breakfast was superb and really delicious. Highly recommended hotel to stay in takayama
0.28km from downtownThe hotel is very good...the Japanese-style suite with balcony...the only thing everyone needs to pay attention to is that the hotel told us to take us to their first restaurant for dinner the next day...We didn't understand what it meant and agreed … After I arrived, I realized that only a few tables were Chinese… The restaurant where I was staying was not at the same level… There was a feeling of being deceived… But the complainant said that we agreed… Some speechless… …Although the hotel is very good...Please be careful...I paid for the lesson...I will not go again...If there is no such experience, it is definitely worth going again...
0.17km from downtownIt has an outstanding location and a space of over 170㎡.If you walk straight from JR Takayama Station toward the old town on Brick Street (Ekimae Chuo Dori), you will find Manabi-stay Takayama SAKURA just before Yanagibashi over Miyagawa. It is in an excellent location, a 7-minute walk from the station and just a 1-minute walk to the old streets.Upstairs from the entrance on the 1st floor, a bedroom that can accommodate up to 7 people on the 2nd floor, a living / dining room with a powerful 100-inch large screen on the 3rd floor, a brand new cypress bath, and a room for 8 people or more on the 4th floor Equipped with a bedroom when you receive it *. The total area from the 2nd floor to the 4th floor is about 175 square meters. We hope that your friends and family can rent out this spacious space and enjoy your time.
0.3km from downtownOne for two, eat very well! Female soup is only indoors, male soup has one inside and outside, no private soup. The water temperature of the soup is not too hot. It is recommended to make a bubble in the morning and look at the window in the morning. The service is very thoughtful, so I have been jealous, hahahaha. Only the city view room is set to be late, there is only one in the first floor, and others can see the river view! It is recommended to stay in the mountains for one night. Maru-Ming beef is also delicious. Be sure to try it! Order a piece of A5 beef to roast and eat, a common missile beef Shouxi pot (the difference between the taste of the beef in the soup pot is so small, so ordinary). Oh, it is too comfortable to eat!
0.31km from downtownThe house is large and the privacy is good. A two-bedroom, one-bedroom villa, perfect for living with parents, getting up in the morning, opening the curtains, and looking at the snow, it is beautiful! The owner of the hotel is very good, will have a little Chinese, and the person is very nice...
0.31km from downtownGreat location and quietness. Manabi-stay Takayama is a great place for sightseeing, a 6-minute walk from the train station and a 2-minute walk to the "old town". It is a place where many tourists come and go during the day, but it is really quiet at night. Surrounded by silence. Takayama is said to be a tourist city, but this tranquility cannot be experienced anywhere else. We would like to help you experience the local culture, traditions, meals, etc. throughout your stay and provide a space like your second home. I would like you to enjoy the scent of the Showa era and the innovative design in a quiet atmosphere. It is not suitable for those who want to get excited by drinking in the room, or who want to have a banquet or party. This guest house is for those who want to spend a quiet time.
0.44km from downtownThe hotel is in the middle of the mountain. It's a bit difficult to drag up the suitcase. The surrounding area is Takayama Jinya, Konosancho, which is very convenient for walking. We booked a Japanese-style room with breakfast and dinner. The front desk made an appointment to eat in advance. By the way, the shuttle bus to Takayama Station the next day was also reserved in advance. Toiletries for the rooms and hot springs are pola. The hot springs are on the first floor and the front desk is on the second floor.
0.33km from downtownIt is an accommodation housed in a 50-year-old folk house, which provides a fabulous location at a 5 minute walk from the Old Town tourist spot.
0.46km from downtownMore like a pension lodge or a guesthouse. Quite close to town centre. One needs to climb a steep road to access the hotel - heavy luggage with old folks take note. Parking is provided nearby. Rooms do not have private toilets and bath - common toilets: 1 each of ladies, men and a Japanese toilet common for both in each floor for more than 8 rooms. Separate onsens for women and men. Breakfast is a fixed menu. Spartan fare.
0.22km from downtownI like the Tanabe hotel very much. The grandma is very cute. Japanese introduced us to some of the hotel facilities in English. He took us to choose a bathrobe and asked us where we came from. Then I said thank you in Chinese. Then I introduced the hotel wall. The calligraphy on it was written by her dad. Her dad is an artist. It is really great. The grandma in the hotel are all dressed in kimonos. They prepare dinner for us after a busy day and then introduce the menu. The dinner was super rich and we were stunned. It is banquet cuisine. It is richer than kaiseki cuisine. Every dish is exquisite and delicious. The seafood is fresh. There are two or three slices of Hida beef. Did not eat a very special flavor, but the meat is not old, okay, we have a total of four people occupy a room to enjoy this hearty banquet cuisine, beautiful.
0.25km from downtownThe room is very good, the spa is small, the speciality is family customization, authentic Japanese style, meal food is delivered to the room, privately enjoyed, very close to the station, 10 minutes walk, morning can go to the city next to the city, is the morning market, it is highly recommended

Hotels Near Wakijaya In Takayama Review
My mom and I visited Furusato 故鄉 at Fukuji Onsen 福地温泉 on July of 2019 for two days. We truly felt welcomed in this Ryokan and had the most wonderful time there. This well-kept property is located off the main road, so it was very quiet and peaceful. The rooms are spacious and clean, and the decors are authentic/traditional Japanese without being too overly ornate. The hot spring there is about 40 degree C which is 1-2 degree lower than typical onsen. Given that it was July, it was the perfect temperature and allowed us to truly relax in the hot spring for a long time. Breakfast was delicious with lots of varieties, we have no doubt dinner would've been even better (but we didn't include dinner in our reservation). We also must mention the ryokan's okami (Azusa) whom we have become good friends in such short period of time. She speaks fluent English and is very sincere, caring, and go above and beyond to make sure we felt at home. Our experience wouldn't have been the same without her cheerful smiles. When I decided to book this hotel, I didn't know what to expect because based on the reviews, it wasn't as well known as 湯元 長座 ，元湯 孫九郎，隠庵 ひだ路...etc. After spending two days there, I can say it far surpassed all of my expectation and I'm very glad to have chosen this place. Both my mom and I hope one day in the future we would be able to visit again.
We stayed at EPH for 3 nights over a weekend in Takayama in mid December 2019. It was the best stay among the 3 hotels we stayed for our trip. Prior to our hotel booking and stay, I e-mailed the hotel several times and received prompt and clear explanations in English. As we were travelling with young children, I wanted to ensure that the hotel was conducive for young children. The hotel staff was very patient with my several enquiries and requests. We continued to be impressed by the hotel during our stay. The staff at the hotel were warm and friendly and always willing to help. Check in was smooth with clear introduction to the hotel and room were provided in English. The lady at the reception was particularly friendly and made my children very happy. On our first day in Takayama, it was drizzling slightly while we were out to have late lunch and explored the old town. We returned to the hotel with wet down jackets. The staff at the reception immediately went to get hand towels for us to dry and warm ourselves. On the second day, we booked a day trip and had to depart from the hotel very early. We were not able to have breakfast at the hotel cafe. The hotel accommodated our request to prepare a simple takeaway breakfast set. On the subsequent mornings, we were able to enjoy the highly rated breakfast at the hotel cafe which exceeded my expectations. The housekeeping was clean and we loved the design of our twin beds room with well thought out details to ensure the comfort of guests. We also appreciate the convenience of a coin-operated washing machine and dryer outside our room. The other reasons for staying at this hotel were its location and price. Before our stay, I was skeptical about the hotel’s perfect rating but after our stay, I experienced and agreed with the other guests on the hotel’s perfect rating. Arigato gozaimasu for our perfect stay at EPH! <3
The room is big enough and the facilities are good. It is on a hillside and it is necessary to rely on the hotel shuttle bus. We stopped the taxi for 1685 yen. If you don't have an appointment, you can go to the parking lot of Takayama Station and try your luck. Generally, the body of the hotel shuttle bus has the name of the hotel. However, the other side of the parking lot needs to enter the second floor of the mountain station and then go to the elevator, which is equal to the back of the mountain station.
The hotel is not located in Takayama, you need to take an hour bus from Takayama Nobu Bus Station to Hirayu Onsen Station, and get off in 8 or 9 minutes on foot. Located in the mountains, surrounded by snow-capped mountains, quiet and beautiful. There is a small shrine ten minutes walk nearby, and there is a big Gassho house behind the shrine. The photos are very beautiful when it snows. There is also a ski resort in Hirayu, and there is a large shop nearby to buy food and souvenirs, and the rest have no fun facilities.
The hotel is a traditional Japanese-style hot spring hotel, so it retains the characteristics of this type of hotel: traditional Japanese-style service is attentive and exquisite, and the hot spring is particularly beautiful. You can use it for half an hour free of charge, book in advance with the front desk, and the view of the private soup is also very good. The dinner was very good, hearty, and delicious. The breakfast was rice tofu soup and some side dishes. There was a simple buffet salad and side dishes. The hotel had Chinese-speaking service staff. The little Chinese brother in the restaurant was particularly good.
For children, there will be an additional room service fee according to different age groups. If children are added for breakfast and dinner, they will have different prices for different age groups.
In short, it is a place suitable for quiet vacations; if you have to run a lot of places to check in, then it is recommended to live in Takayama.
While taking a bus, I had nothing to write and write a review. At first I thought it was a dormitory hostel or the like. Later, I stumbled upon others' travel notes and said that this is a Japanese-style tatami type hotel. The hotel is small but very Japanese. Facilities have emergency flashlights, old-fashioned phones can be set up to wake up in the morning, and snacks every day have tea bags and croissants. The equipment is old. Talking about hot springs, female soup is very small on the first floor but there are basically few people. The steps are to put the slippers outside into the dressing room to take off the light, and then go to the hot spring room to take a shower first, and then you can enjoy the hot spring. Although the pool is small and may have up to 4, 5 people, we went to a total of 4 people for the first time, and the second time to the private reserve Just the two of us. You have to sit on a small bench in the shower. There is also a novelty baby like tatami and sofa. No other service is needed anyway like the keys are also old fashioned
My shoes were stolen! I just left the store yesterday, but the shoes were stolen! The hotel handled the problem by giving me a pair of old shoes that were much larger than my feet and did not fit at all. To be honest, we are very dissatisfied with this approach! I added a clerk, and the explanation over there just said that someone might have taken the wrong one, but there is a big gap between my shoes and that person's shoes! Mine is cloth shoes. Others have lacquer finishes, and the shoelaces are of different shapes. If others take them, they will be too that.... I will travel to other cities for the rest of the time. Now I am wearing the ones that the shop gave me. Old shoes, I can't find a shoe store, which is quite painful! This is my experience... If you come to live here, you might have to prepare an extra pair of shoes! My shoes have been stolen! Just left the store yesterday, but the shoes were stolen! The way the hotel handled it was to give me a pair of old shoes that were much bigger than my feet and didn't fit at all to solve the problem. Seriously, we are not satisfied with this way of handling! Added the clerk to contact, over there explained that someone may have taken the wrong shoes, but my shoes and that person's shoes are very different! My shoes are made of cloth. Other people's shoes are painted with different shapes and laces. If others take them, it's too much... I still have to travel to other cities. Now I can't find a shoe store in the old shoes that the store gave me. It's very painful! This is my experience... If you come here to live, you may have to prepare another pair of shoes!
Yumoto Choza is certainly expensive but if you fancy splurging then you won’t be disappointed. We had 2 nights in this fabulous ryokan and everything about it was perfect. Located in a sleepy onsen village, surrounded by forested mountains, this is a wonderful place to relax and unwind. It’s only a 13 minute bus trip from Hirayu Onsen, on the Shinhotaka line, but has a totally different feel. Get off at stop HO41, or HO45 if the bus is taking its alternate route. From HO45 take the side road on the left opposite the bus stop. It’s a gentle incline for about 50m and then you follow the road down hill for about half a kilometre. After crossing the river, stick to the main road and the ryokan is on your right after about 100m. Alternatively, get off at HO41 and the ryokan is immediate opposite the bus stop! Buses leave Hirayu Onsen at 38 mins past the hour. The 12.38, 2.38 and 4.38 all stop at the more convenient bus stop 41. The entrance is up a covered wooden walkway. The food here is absolutely fabulous. The presentation is divine and we loved having our private dining room. The hot baths are amazing too. There are riverside baths a few minutes walk from the inn (no washing facilities, but there is a loo). Sitting in the hot water watching and listening to the crashing river was so calming. Attached to the main building by a covered walkway are 3 private baths, each with inside and outdoor baths - perfect for couples and families wanting to bathe together. There is no reservation system but we always found one free. These were our favourites, but the large public baths were lovely too. So much choice! In the main building there are lots of corners and areas to sit in, including around a fire near the lobby and another fire in the walkway. It was heavy rain during our stay but I can’t think of a nicer place to be holed up in bad weather.
As early as one hour early in the day, there is no one at all, so it is recommended not to arrive early. It is really only until two o'clock. (Tips, there will be a shuttle bus at the west exit of JR Takayama Station, so friends who are early can visit and eat nearby. Waiting for the car to pick up is the best choice.) At the beginning of the heart is cool, the hotel is not as big as expected, the scale is very general, the first name of the mountain is not felt for the time being, the outer circle pavilion fish pond does not have photos So big and beautiful. But at two o'clock, I feel different! Japanese-style 跪 service, offering a welcome drink, a family butler, will bring guests into the house, carry luggage and so on. The toilet in the room is fully automatic, not bad. The level of catering equipment and taste and service can be compared with the Hakone Mikawa house. It is very authentic and the family will have a special private room. I have a bed in my room, and I have a tatami mat. It is very comfortable. The private soup that comes with it is very beautiful, and the quality is as good as the Lulu Shui Ming Museum! In addition to the distance, there are no attractions nearby, no shortcomings!

The location of the hotel is very good, right in the middle of the old town and the station. Room facilities are very new, you can take soup service, the staff is very comfortable, children will also be given a gift package, which includes children's toothbrushes and slippers. The heating in the room is sufficient. The room may be small. The outside temperature is minus five degrees.
The room is really small, only one person can turn around, and two people cannot turn around side by side. A 1.4-meter large bed with a 1-meter elevated bed on it, the children were crazy, and three people could sleep enough. Another point, the hotels in the whole mountain area seem to use a white cloth as a quilt under the quilt. They ca n’t roll over a lot when they sleep, and the children are missing a few kicks of white cloth at night.
In general, this hotel can be used for less than 2 people, the price is reasonable, the location is good, and the space for 3 people is too small.
The hotel is very good...the Japanese-style suite with balcony...the only thing everyone needs to pay attention to is that the hotel told us to take us to their first restaurant for dinner the next day...We didn't understand what it meant and agreed … After I arrived, I realized that only a few tables were Chinese… The restaurant where I was staying was not at the same level… There was a feeling of being deceived… But the complainant said that we agreed… Some speechless… …Although the hotel is very good...Please be careful...I paid for the lesson...I will not go again...If there is no such experience, it is definitely worth going again...

The transportation is convenient, just a few steps away from the small alley next to Hirayu Station. The room is a typical Japanese-style room, clean and cozy. Although the owner and grandmother can't communicate with each other, they are very thoughtful. After walking back from Kamikochi, the hot spring in the bubble shop is simply so cool.
I chose this hotel due to its location only 50-70meter away from Sannomachi Street which is the best address in Takayama where all old and beautiful Machiyas (japanese old wooden houses) are located. The rooms are large. Figures 2 and 3 show what the windows look like. There is a shuttle bus. I use the Shenglong Road Pass to go to Shirakawa with Takayama as the center. Comfortable. The shuttle is just behind JR. There are many hotel shuttles. I think it is more convenient than sitting down the mountain, so I don't have to drag my luggage around. Originally I was going to live in Sakura-no-Ya, but it is more comfortable to live in, and if you do n’t pursue Japanese style, this is highly recommended. I came out of Nagoya Marriott to change this one, and I didn't think there was a big difference. You don't need to eat at the hotel. There are many delicious restaurants in Takayama.
I used it for my family trip.
It is a 10 to 15 minute walk to the old townscape, which is a tourist attraction, and has good access.
The interior of the hotel is very clean with the warm design of wood.
Free instant coffee is available so you can drink it in your room.
There are also clothes in the hall, and only those who want to use it can borrow it by themselves.
The room is small, but the bath and toilet are separate. I didn't use it this time because there is a hot spring on the 7th floor. There is an electric kettle in the room. No range.
I think it's quite rare to find such a reasonably priced hotel that can be used by four family members to enter the hot springs. There is also a family bath, which can be used without reservation if it is available. However, it is cold in winter and the bathtub is small, so I think it is hard for two or more adults.
The third parking lot is free, but it is first come, first served and is about 4-5 minutes walk from the hotel. Please note that you must get the form to be posted on the windshield at the reception in advance.
This is a hotel that you definitely want to use when visiting Takayama.
The room is not small for a Japanese hotel. When booking, it is required to input the number of adults and children accurately. The price is different. If there are children, the sofa bed will be laid out, and related sets will be added. The facilities inside are not new, the breakfast is Japanese style and buffet, we stayed two nights and were assigned to each one. The buffet is rich in content and more suitable for oriental tastes. The Japanese-style breakfast ritual was so strong that such a table in the early morning was very shocking. The bath is good, so the room bathroom utilization is low.
Oyado Iguchi is good location near Takayama Station and Takayama Old street. In front of Oyado, Miyagawa morning market is held everyday. The hotel is Japanese style room which is so clean. Employee was good and friendly. 宿井口在来高山站附近交通好的酒店。 宿舍前面每天都有早市。房间是日式房间，很干净。服务员很热情。
The hotel has a good environment and the service is very good. Everyone is happy to help, especially the girl who helped me check in! The driver of the shuttle bus also recommended to us which flying yak is delicious! The public bath did not try, although this hotel is not near the station, but only 10 minutes by car, it is best to do the hotel shuttle bus, but the bus is less time to look at the time. This price is really high, the newly opened hotel is very clean, the only bad thing is that the smallest room is too small, smaller than the hotel in Tokyo. If you have a lot of luggage, you don't recommend a small room. Breakfast is not bad!
B & B grandpa and grandma are especially nice! And also very particular about the feeling, what kind of president is Grandpa? The room is a Japanese-style room. There are three rooms on the third floor. The room does not have a bathroom and a toilet. The toilet is outside the room, but it is not inconvenient. The bathroom is a bath tub. Girls are on the second floor and boys are on the first floor. It is a relatively small one, but it seems that nobody is going! Children have to make up for it. 1,000 yen per person is also reasonable!
The location of the B & B is very good, because the Takayama JR Station and the Nobu Bus are next door, so walking to the B & B is the same distance, using Baidu maps is very accurate! On the left side of the house, there is a famous Maru Fei camel ox, you can go to the line to get the number for about 45 minutes, and then eat from the bed and breakfast, very convenient! The scenic spot Kokubunji is opposite, and you can pass by every day. The mountains are very small, and all the attractions can be reached on foot. It is too convenient to use Baidu maps!
1 bed and mattress are comfortable, three beds are slightly lower than ordinary western-style beds and higher than tatami. The quilt was long enough and there was a blanket in the room.
2. The space is bright and pleasant. The indoor layout is reasonable, there is enough space for clothes, there are seats by the window, and a family of three is suitable
3. Toiletries Pola, bathroom space is slightly smaller but sufficient.
4. Outside the window is the JR line. When it snows, the railway is covered with white snow and is beautiful.
5. If the breakfast is very good, the score is 7.5. Fruits, Japanese and Western styles, and miso soup are delicious.
6. It ’s only a flyover to Nongfei Bus in about 5 minutes.
7. There is a big food supermarket near the living area
8. Disadvantages, almost no, if the public hot spring can be bigger or have a view, but the hair dryer is very good
9. Recommendation: Highly recommended, high cost performance
The hotel is a 20-minute walk from Takayama Station, and it is uphill, and every time you walk, you doubt your life. After several times, taking the hotel minibus was very fast. I felt that I was at the station in less than five minutes. There is an indoor hot spring in the hotel, so you have to pay for it. So don't be lazy when you book children's shoes for a few days. Because of the mountain, it is inevitable that there are a lot of bugs, and they are still very large. I had a lot of rashes after sleeping for a few days, I don't know if it was a problem with the bedding. If you want to eat at the hotel, inform the boss one day in advance, otherwise you ca n’t eat, the price is normal, and the taste is more ordinary. Compared to hotels in Nara, Osaka, the price is slightly lower.
Following 2 nights at Honjin Hiranoya Kachoan, which is located smack dab in the center of Takayama (great for exploring the historic district), we were ready to stay somewhere a bit more intimate, rural and with much more rustic charm. Wanosato was our choice, and it surpassed our already high expectations. Located about 25 minutes (or so) by car to Takayama city proper (Wanosato also offers a free shuttle service into the city), Wanosato feels like a world away. It's nestled along the banks of an idyllic river, and is surrounded by a gorgeous forest. It's really a serene environment in which to build a small, charming, rustic Japanese ryokan, and with just 8 well-appointed rooms, that's exactly what they did with Wanosato. Upon arrival, we marveled at the old-school architecture of the main structure with its Gassho-zukuri thatched-roof construction and earthen walls - this is where the reception, common area, communal (men/women separate, of course) onsen bath and dining areas are located. The main lounge is an Instagrammer's delight - There's an open "irori" hearth in the center, and features hardwood floors, exposed wood beams and ancient (at least to our eyes) Japanese antiques lining the walls. We chose to stay at one of the four villas - the Garyu Villa - (臥龍 離れ) to be precise. Spanning 110m² it had two sitting rooms, a bedroom, and a big living area with an open hearth. It's also right along the bank of the gorgeous river, which you can hear its soothing sounds from the room. The bathroom was equally spacious and had both a shower and a wooden tub. Unfortunately, the in-room bath is not of the onsen (hot spring water) variety; you'll have to visit the main communal bathing area for your onsen fix. While it's not ideal, it's not a big deal, either... with only 8 rooms as previously mentioned, it is rarely occupied at any one time. We went twice and never shared the space with another soul. Service was discreet, although it may had more to do with the spread-out nature of the property and the fact that Wanosato only has 8 guest rooms. While we didn't have much in the way of needs during our stay, we weren't expecting 5-star levels of service with an all-star concierge manning the front desk day and night like a big luxury hotel. That said, everyone was professional and charming, if a bit muted (save for Momoka, server for dinner on the second night - she was a big ball of charm, energy and sweetness.) Overall, nothing went unattended - no major service flaws to speak of. Another highlight was the food... it was exquisite. We've stayed at many of Japan's finest luxury ryokans, and Wanosato is up there with the best. It's not an apples-to-apples comparison, mind you. Takayama means "tall mountain" in Japanese, which means its forte is vegetables, the local Hida Beef (which is amazing), and two river fish - Ayu and Iwana. Most other seafood comes from outside of the region, meaning it's not going to compete with places along th
The hotel is in the middle of the mountain.
The address is very close to the station and it takes 5 minutes to walk.
Checkin can be done at three in the afternoon, luggage can be stored early, and luggage can also be checked out at ten in the morning.
The service is good. You can choose the kimono if you have red bean soup. But it ’s too cold, so I did n’t wear it ~
What I like is its hot spring. When I went there, I said that I was renovating and I could only try the first floor. But there were no one. I went three times and I met a person ... Breakfast is OK, generally, you need to advance Determine whether the Japanese or Western style, and meal time.
There was a funny thing in the evening, a ghost girl and her boyfriend rubbed in the men's hot spring ...
Very good spa hotel, the only drawback is that it is too far from the city.
The house is large and the privacy is good. A two-bedroom, one-bedroom villa, perfect for living with parents, getting up in the morning, opening the curtains, and looking at the snow, it is beautiful! The owner of the hotel is very good, will have a little Chinese, and the person is very nice...
I have come to Japan six times, and I have lived in a lot of business hotels, but I am generally not willing to bring my family to live in the city's business hotel. This time I only took a fancy to this parking lot, which is free and convenient for parking. The actual check-in experience was much better than I expected. The service was very good. The front desk and luggage reception were very warm and I was very willing to help.
