The building itself is quite old, and it feels old, especially around the water. Hospitality is not bad. There is no convenience store near the hotel, and PET water and tea can be purchased at the front desk for ¥ 100. In addition, the number of restaurants that can be eaten within walking distance from the hotel is limited. There is only one fixed-route bus per hour, so the range of action is limited unless you are a car. This time, I didn't use dinner or breakfast in the hotel, so I can't evaluate the contents of the meal. You can walk to Karatsu Castle.

We chose this hotel as part of a stopover, so we could visit nearby Yobuko (to eat squid). Looking at the Japanese travel sites, it was unclear to me what the difference was between the east and west wing, but I'm so glad to have chosen the east wing which turns out to be their newer addition with premium amenities such as a communal onsen bath by gender and a co-ed rooftop thermal pool/bath that you can go to in your bathing suit. This hotel appears to be owned by DHC, which is a Japanese cosmetics manufacturer because everything in the hotel bears their brand. The nice thing is that their products are very stellar and they are readily available. The communal bath is particularly well stocked with shampoo, conditioner, body soap, facial wash etc. They also have a full spa facility with steam and dry sauna, aromatherapy rooms etc It was also a pleasure to have access to the beautiful baths and pool almost exclusively. We spent a lot of evenings after dinner soaking on the rooftop, listening to the sound of the waves. The hotel is about a 30 minute walk away from the center of the city, but it is a beautiful route that takes you past the castle. The entire experience far exceeded my expectations. Highly recommended.

A family like small inn lying besides a quiet seashore and very near to the Karatsu Castle. The Japanese style room was spacious with big windows that you can see a peaceful sea and enjoy a sunset view. The tatami mats were well prepaid that you just spread them out, you could enjoy a comfort sleep. The inn was easly to access to restaurants and shopping malls by within minutes of driving. There was Japanese massage for body near Aeon Shopping Mall where the price is only about 3000 yens per hr., bargaining price in Japan. The breakfast was traditional Japanese style with a bottle of fresh salad, enough for most people. The ladies were helpful that I thank them very much to help taking the luggage suitcase upstair. There are free carparks just at the other side of the road. Highly recommended.

It is a low-key luxury hotel with a cultural charm. The breakfast environment is very good, because it has been eaten more top, can only say that it is not bad; not suitable for small children, because it is a family hotel, relatively quiet and elegant, space is small, small children are noisy; hotel location is good, near major attractions, The bike tour is even better and the hotel arranges a pick-up station. The only downside is that public baths and bathing places are relatively small.

The hotel in Karatsu is a new hotel in the station and shopping street, while there are many large hotels on the riverside and seaside. 2 minutes walk from the station. The 3rd floor 1 floor of the commercial facility is the hotel. Simple interior, clean and comfortable stay. The shopping street around is never lively, but there are shops that can taste the yuki of Genkai Nada, including a sushi shop with Michelin stars. Breakfast is at the cafe on the first floor. The toast set, bread and thick cut bacon were delicious. There is no parking lot, the station north exit parking lot is recommended, 500 yen to 12 hours. It was a comfortable Karatsu stay.

It's the first time I stayed in Karatsu, but if I could, I looked for a hot spring inn because it was good. I had some doubts until I stayed, but when I was soaked in hot water, the doubt flew. But when I took a bath, I was surprised ‼ What, across the glass window, people were crossing the river. Wow ⁉ I thought I saw my splendid nude and hid my front with a towel. I couldn't see it because I was taking off my glasses, but I had an explanation with Chang and magic mirror, and finally I enjoyed the hot springs comfortably and calmly. I also asked for a squid called my squid, so I had a delicious meal. The staff 々 was also good and comfortable.

The facilities are old and are cheap inn-level facilities in Korea. The room is tatami and the bedding is old and not clean. However, the location is close to the city and Karatsu Castle, and it is also connected to the cafe street. Above all, breakfast and dinner cover the aging of the facility with authentic Japanese food. And the price is cheaper than other ryokan. If you want a clean hotel in the pine forest next to the beach, you can stay at the Seaside Hotel (East), and I want a Japanese-style hotel cheaply in a Japanese accommodation.

In addition, the distance between the hotel and the train station seems to be a little bit longer than what is marked on the Internet.

I found an inn that could stay alone and visited to eat squid on weekends. The end point of the airport subway JR Kanemaru, who arrived from Nishi Karatsu to Showa bus, was a naive inn facing the sea. The first 5F large bath was able to take a relaxing exclusive bath, so it healed the fatigue of the moving time. The expected dinner was excellent, including fish, of course, a good living squid. The soy sauce was not sweet but familiar, so the food and sake were also advanced and the full satisfaction was great. Because the type of squid changes depending on the season, I want to taste the color 々 in the future.

We splurged and stayed at the Mizuno Ryokan to celebrate our 49th wedding anniversary. We were driving and it took a little while to find it because it is tucked in an alley behind a school. However, well worth the hunt! It is right on the beach with a fabulous view out to offshore islands. The staff is amazing in how they try to cater to your every need. English is spoken but we did a lot of pantomime as well. The food was fantastic; each course was a new experience in how to prepare Japanese cuisine and we enjoyed it all - even the squid that wasn't quite dead yet! All fresh, small portions but so much that we could not have eaten more at the end.

Although there are not many varieties of breakfast in the hotel, the quality is not bad in similar hotels. There is a family near the hotel. It is very convenient to buy things. This hotel was a really great surprise. Just a short walk from a JR station the hotel is situated right next to the ocean. You can fall asleep listening to the waves. The bathroom had a separated toilet and a big bathtub. The bed was really comfortable and you also had a few snacks as well as a water heater in the room. The city itself is about an hour walk along the beach or you can just take the train into the city. (just make sure not to miss the last one) When we were there (in October 2019) there was a construction side next to the water but since it seemed temporarily. Maybe ask before booking to get a room away from the construction side (still with ocean view)

It is a seafood restaurant if you think you will enter from the table. The front desk seems to be on the 2 floor. There is a front entrance as an inn on the back side of this building. From the front entrance to the lobby. It is a bright color. There is a picture called a tree of hope on the wall, and it is actually a tree. It feels like relaxing to take a bath. The rooms are quite large, but the area where tatami mats are on the floor is about 4 tatami mats and not very large. You can see Genkai Nada and Koko Ohashi bridge from the window. The public bath is on the top floor, so move to the top floor by elevator. By the way, there is only a shower in the room. The dressing room is a good size, but it is clean. However, there seems to be no service such as bathing ice and juice. The large bath is not very large in the bathtub, and there are not so many shower facilities. From the large window, you can see the view of the calligraphy bridge and the genkai Nada. The sauna room is also complete. There is also a semi open-air bath. It is not a hot spring, but it is not so bad because you can take a bath slowly while looking at a good view. It is a night meal from the bath, but in ”travel inn yobuko”, night meal is a room meal. Before that, the vice manager came to the room and explained the view from the window. There is a story about the battle of each major name of Nagoya Jo castle from Hideyoshi Toyotomi's dispatch of troops to Korea, and the scenery between that time and the present is not very different. The dishes are carried to 々. On this day, Nakai seems to be busy with many guests, but he responded properly without pulling out his hand. I will receive it from the construction that utilized the sea. In addition, there is a konjaku ”kansumata konjaku” which uses sweet summer produced by the caller in this inn, and it is delicious. The sashimi of the caller specialty thief is naturally clear and very delicious. The dishes such as sazae tsuboyaki and KARASUMA salted sardines and KARASUMA salted fish KARASUMA Nanban, and the rest of the previous KARASUMA sashimi are served with salted BBQ and the dishes are good 々. There is no big inn around the call, so I think this inn yobuko is a good inn to stay with the caller. It is a feeling that it is reasonable if you think about the price.

The hotel is located by the sea, with convenient parking. It is a seawater hot spring. The so-called Shioyu is a heated hot spring. The hotel is a garden-style Japanese hotel. Wearing colorful kimonos, walking and taking pictures in the hotel’s garden is unique. The front desk issued a coupon for Happy Hour at the bar, and you can have a few drinks at the bar. Breakfast and dinner are good, because it is close to the beach, octopus is a specialty here, and the octopus for dinner is great (sashimi and salt and pepper). It is recommended to stay for 2 nights, and each room has a free private soup reservation. As for the public pool, one looks at the sea outside (Figure 1) and the other is indoors.

For dinner, I asked for a course with Ise shrimp and Japanese beef, but I was very satisfied with both quality and quantity. QI was wondering if I should add mackerel, but I was full with just the course meal. There were several kinds of local sake and it was delicious. If you were to ask me what I liked about it, I would answer, ”The islands were beautiful.” There aren't even a single souvenir shop outside the hotel shop nearby, but there are well-maintained campsites and rental canoe grounds that are sure to attract many visitors in the summer. The hotel itself is a little old, but it has been renovated in various places, and the rooms and halls have been cleaned in an orderly manner. 30-40 meters from the room is a white sandy beach with a great promenade. The meal was at the adjacent restaurant, but I was surprised by the number of small dishes for both dinner and breakfast. I felt the difficulty of the hotel staff when I saw them serving the food and lighting the rice. After running through the forest road for a while from Route 204, there is a particularly large white building by the sea below. It was a winter night where we, an elderly couple, could enjoy peace and relaxation. It is an inn that I would like to visit again.
