This place is a little outside the old city so you'll need your own transport e.g. a motorbike. We got a very reasonable rate for a room with air conditioning and a swimming pool. We loved the availability of hot water with tea and coffee provided, there's a shared kitchen, and we liked the local neighborhood - nice little market and a very good Thai restaurant around the corner on the main road with an English menu. Also, it's solar heated ☀. There were also some unusual aspects to our experience - the militaristic attitude of the man who checked us in. The strange cleaning hours and habits. The mysterious puddle in the room one evening. And the breakfast buffet of grey mock meats (we ate elsewhere). The decor... I think this is a newish guesthouse. If they get their cleaning schedule organised and offer some fresh fruit with breakfast it can be great.

We are a family of 3 traveling for the weekend. We booked two Superior rooms, one for my parents and the other one for myself but were upgraded to the Deluxe rooms upon arrival. The rooms were exceptionally clean, comfortable, spacious with walk in closets balcony and huge windows. This place would be great for families, groups, and couples. It is conveniently located near Chiangmai-Lamphun highway and can easily access the city center via the east side of the river via Nawarat bridge (less traffic). There are also washing machines for long stay guests. We were lucky to have found this hotel and stayed there. Their rate is reasonably priced as well.

Huay Kaew
The hotel location is quite convenient, there are several entrances and exits in the lobby; however, the rooms are more on the lower floor and near the street, and will be noisy after 8 or 9 in the morning. The health of the room is ok, and general hotel equipment is provided. Hotel service staff was very good! The price is acceptable.

Check in on October 14. The hotel is quietly located on the edge of the city, with views of Chiang Mai city. The hotel is clean and tidy, with complete facilities, and the overall service is warm and thoughtful. When inquiring the beautiful sister at the reception desk in the lobby, she took the initiative to inform the hotel that there is a free minibus to pick up and drop off guests to the city night market, and gave a timetable, feeling warm. The hotel has a lot of European and American guests, the front desk does not speak Chinese, and English communication is no problem. There is a small food cart placed by the locals on the street outside the hotel. The mung bean glutinous rice rolls grilled with corn leaves are delicious. You can take a double car at Menkou Street, there are more double cars after walking across the bridge, and the traffic is convenient. Very good experience, will choose this next time.

Chiangmai Old City
I've stayed at many different hostels, and believe me when I tell you that this was the best one I've stayed in! The staff was warm, friendly, attentive and patient. The hostel was clean, nice, and convenient. I'm usually hesitant to read excellent reviews because I think they are fake. This one, I'll definitely come back to again. Thanks to the lovely staff

I stayed here in May/June for a month. This is a really nice hotel/property in a quiet neighbourhood. The staff was very attentive and helpful whenever I had questions. The rooms are very clean and spacious, and they make sure to keep the entire building spotless. On the main level there is a small co-working space, but the WIFI in the rooms is still pretty good (in case you don't feel like socializing). The hotel provides weekly room cleaning service, and for 50 baht you can wash your laundry on site (hang dry them on the balcony). If you are staying for 1 month the cost for water is 300 baht, and cost of electricity is 7 baht per unit. My electricity total was about 2500 baht but keep in mind it was extremely humid when I was there and I ran the A/C almost non-stop. The Mai Bakery next to the hotel is a nice café where you can sit in nature and just relax for a bit. The food here is very good and the staff are very friendly. I ate here almost every day and drank a lot of iced mochas! The one and only critique I have about this hotel is the location. It is not close to anything really. After about 2 weeks I began to feel very isolated. You are walking at least 15-20 mins to get to the 7/11 or Tesco Lotus, or to get some street food on Changpuak Road. You might think 15-20 mins isn't that bad, but when you are doing it every day for 30 days it quickly wears you down - especially if all you want is a quick snack! Your only other options are to get a motorbike or use Grab. Grab Food does deliver to the hotel, and I used that a few times when I was tired of walking. Aside from the location, I would wholeheartedly endorse staying here. Moreso if you are staying for a few nights rather than a month (unless you have some sort of transportation to get around the city). The staff here really are very nice and the service and upkeep of the hotel is what sells this place.

Chiangmai Old City
I stayed here for 3 nights on a solo trip and because it wasn’t my first time to the city, I was rather specific about where I wanted to stay, and I chose this hotel for its location in old town near to the many cafés I had wanted to visit. First app - the service. It was amazing! I was scheduled to arrive at 10pm and although the late check in procedure was originally a personal email on unlocking various locks to get the room as the lobby that connects to the bar was closed, after I responded, they actually said they will have someone to wait for me at the reception to help me with my check in. Already a very positive note even before I arrive! Check in was swift and the room was exactly like shown. Its not a style for all, but I love it. Its simple, classically modern and functional. My only gripe is that there are not enough power points near the main bed (or you will Need a longer wire) so you really have to charge your phones at the TV Consol (with my short wire) which means that you don’t get to have your phone right besides your bed. The bed is Asian style firm so if you like it cushy, then its not for you. The pillows were also not that ok, even though with 4, its not the firm kind so i did have trouble sleeping. But if you like fluffy kind, these are your heaven. The bathroom had all the amenities needed - toothbrush, cotton, et al., but no mouthwash, so bring your own. There is also handwash next to sink and a good hair dryer provided. Shower pressure was surprisingly good and the wall mounted heater means u can tune the hot water manually to your liking. The location is superb as its near Thae Pae gate and You can really explore the old Town easily within walking distance from this location. The hotel also has a coffee bar with very cool drinks.
