It is actually very small around 16 rooms but location is good....near to the central station. We arrived late due to train delay and by the time we reached the place it was 1am. The owner who is quite elderly waited for us. Room was clean but pillow were out ...too thin. The funny part of this hotel is wc facilities are all outside yet there is a small bathing cubicle inside the room. It is glass all around and offers little privacy even for married couples. There is also a sink in the room. Breakfast is excellent with soft scrambled eggs and nutty bread. Of course there are other breakfast items as well. Everything is Beethoven based as Bonn is a beethoven town. i only have one complain ....if you are senoir and have knee problem you will have a hard time climbing all the staircases as there is no elevators. To reach the reception area from the main door you have to climb a flight of steep steps. after checking in you will have to climb a few more flights to reach your room depending on which floor your room is. Imagine with suitcases it was a challenge for us. But value for money as it is indeed a cozy place

The Hotel is located just off the busy street. Every few minutes a tram rattles by and if you are on the first and second road facing rooms, you will definitely have a disturbed sleep. And no! The windows don't filter out the sound although a few reviews put up by others say they do filter it out. But I definitely disagree. Further, the family-run outfit scrimps on the heating bill and I think they have a timer to switch off the heating around 3:00 AM when they believe you are fast asleep. Th heating system kicks in again around 6:30 when one normally awakens! My sleep (and that of my fellow guests) was disturbed and when we felt cold two days in a row, we checked the room heaters... and needless to say... it was just barely warm. Our enquiries with the staff the next morning were brushed off in a manner most people may find rude or indifferent. The bathroom is very tiny almost the size one finds in aircraft. So if you are well built, a word of advice.. don't step into the shower cubicle..you may not be able to come out! The first night there was a biscuit on the pillow but none on the next two nights we stayed there! Small things but apparently the owners don't care. The bed is awful as is the single huge pillow kept there to help you smother out the noise of the passing trams. (On a lighter note, if you happen to suffocate while smothering out the noise, the Hotel will not be responsible!) More like a bunk than a bed. (See photo!) Breakfast is good. the fresh fruit (organic!) as well as the eggs, sausages, et all were delicious and probably the only saving grace of the establishment. The family members (I think they are family and not staff) who look after the breakfast arrangements are warmer and more generous than some of the others. All in all a place that must actually be closed down by the authorities but ok if you are an itinerant salesman or one who has stayed in the place for the last 20 years on multiple visits and know the folks that run the place.

We have stayed at hundreds of hotels over the last few years, big and small. This hotel was a major disappointment for a 4 star hotel, excluding the fantastic staff. The positives: the staff was exceptionally friendly and accommodating from the ladies at the reception desk to the cheery lady at breakfast, great water pressure in sink, good WiFi, great location close to restaurants and transportation. The negatives: the property and room are run down looking and in big need of a remodeling, the lighting in our room was horrible and made us feel like we were living in a cave when the sun disappeared, the carpet was stained, the paint on the walls was rough looking, the breakfast is basic but a major step down from what we have received in the 3 star hotels we have been in for the last 2 weeks ( no sweet pastries at all), the room had a patio but the hotel told us not to keep the door open because they have an ant problem, NO AIR CONDITIONING (4 star hotels don’t make their guests sweat.). Bottom line- they say this is a 4 star hotel but we have stayed in 4 star hotels and this doesn’t even come close. 4 star hotels have air conditioning and a higher level of accommodations. We would not stay at this hotel again and we paid about $200/night. This may be worth about $75/night. How stupid were we????

· Fantastically located close to both Bonn Main Station and the downtown of Bonn, this hotel was my natural choice for a short 3-night trip to Bonn and the surrounding area. The personnel spoke decent English and was able to advise on some places to visit. I was also provided with a city card (all transport covered in the city of Bonn). The room was nice and tidy, with a courtesy bottle of water waiting for me on the table. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom - crystal clean. I also enjoyed a decent quality WiFi (surprisingly often an issue even in 'business' hotels). All in all, good choice for those travelers who are on business or who would like to enjoy a very central location. Disliked · Two things that I was not happy about: 1. There was a semi-finished bottle of water in the fridge. It is of course understandable that it has been left by the previous guest, but I would expect the cleaning staff to clear the fridge from the leftovers from the preceding stay. 2. I lodged a request to replenish the shower gel, and it was not done. I advise that requests of this kind are taken to action by the staff.

Hotel Eden is a charming hotel located right in the centre of the city. Opposite the hotel is a lovely garden that makes the place nice and quite. Rooms are spacious and breakfast is good. Staff at the reception are very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Deco is colorful and fresh. I loved the welcome cookies and Lindt chocolates at the reception, it was a nice touch. Service was excellent! Train station is 5 minutes walk and you can walk to Beethoven's house in 10 minutes. I will book this hotel again.

This was a convenient hotel for an overnight stop and right in the centre of Bonn. I had to use the intercom to gain entry to the reception and then ask where to park our motorcycle. We were allocated a place in a two car garage at the rear of the premises and around the block. We were happy with that. Direct access into the hotel. Our room was adequate for our needs. a twin with a decent sized bathroom and a smart little roof terrace. There is also another larger terrace for guests to sit outside if they wish, overlooking the roof tops. Breakfast was extremely nice and served in a colourful breakfast room. The town is literally outside the front door. All our needs were met so no complaints at all.

We had car trouble and had to book an unexpected overnight stay at the hotel. Check in was at 15:00, but due to our situation we could come at 11:30. The next day we needed medical care and they helped us to get an appointment at a dentist plus granted us a late check out. I have nothing but compliments for the staff. Professional, kind and caring. The family room we stayed in was big with good beds. The bathroom is a bit outdated but large. There is a fridge you can use and a small kitchenette. The pool is very nice, we had it all to our selves in the evening. In the afternoon there was an aqua aerobics class for the permanent senior citizens, we felt we needed to leave then. My only point of criticism concerns the breakfast. Although the choice is wide, the quality is very poor. Especially the bread and coffee are very low quality. But if you skip breakfast it's a great place to explore Bonn. Good location, nice garden space

Stayed here for four days during a mini-vacation and liked it. It is located a 5-10 minutes walk away from the main attractions of the city center. The hotel is on five floors, I was at the top floor. Travelling as a single, my room was quite small, but on the other hand it was efficiently in terms of interior, with distinict spaces for sleeping and working, in addition to a nice bathroom area. The only awkward thing was the location of the TV screen, as your nect would hurt if you tried to watch it from bed. But I didn't care much, I don't stay at hotels to watch TV. Breakfast was very nice, must say that the range of choice was very good for this quite small hotel. Great staff, both reception- and breakfast-wise. I can see why people rate this hotel at top notch, as it probably will exceed expectations for a three star hotel. When I rate it at four, it's because it is clearly not five stars (and maybe my expectations were hight based on the many positive reports here, too....) Nothing to complain about really, it is obviously good value. Cleaning looked nice, just make a mention that one morning I saw a dead wasp on the floor at the window, it was still there when I returned in the afternoon after cleaning. But it doesn't matter much. Enjoy.

I had a corner suite with great view of river, and great room overall. The hotel is very modern, and the room reflects that. The bed was quite close to the Westin heavenly bed which I love. And what stood out is that the shower was one of the best showers I've ever tried! It was completely enclosed in glass from floor all the way up to the ceiling (so a long shower didn't steam up the entire bathroom). It had a rainfall shower head, as well as body jets. Everything, including temperature, was digitally controlled by touch. The water pressure was strong, the hot water came quickly. I usually do not comment about showers, but this one just had an amazing one, and my wife agreed. Also, the bathroom floor was heated, and the toilet was in a separate room. As for location, the hotel is located in a calm neighborhood, not much nearby. We came by car so it didn't bother us, as we came here to visit Cologne Christmas market. It was a little longer of a drive to Cologne than expected... about 45 mins due to traffic. The premises does feel more like a 5-star. I highly recommend.

The hotel is very grand, the room is very large, the air conditioning effect is also good, the shortcoming of the room is that the sound insulation is not good, the next loud voice can be heard clearly, the classic room is not known whether it is facing the sake of the subway downstairs is very noisy I can't open the window at all. The breakfast room is very big, but the disadvantage is that a coffee machine is at the bar, and I can't call it myself. The waiter will send it to you. I want a cappuccino to be a small cup, breakfast is very good. There are a lot of good varieties, the hotel parking fee is very expensive for two days plus a tourist tax of 58 euros, the hotel pool can also

Bonn City Center
Overall Hotel LOCATION is just off the city center and old town is in good walking distance. The hotel seems a bit old and needs some renovation here and there but overall is in OK shape. The design comparable to the Hilton Munich City Center or Düsseldorf. King Deluxe ROOM with River view had old traditional Hilton Europe decoration and furniture. The river view in room 412 was partial and the room was quite old and had an old smell to it. The standard rooms seem to have been renovated, so it is a good idea to just go for a standard room, if new furniture is more important than the partial river view. The minibar was empty because of COVID, which gave us a full fridge to use for our personal stuff. I personally prefer this over a in-room mini bar. The room had a Nespresso coffee maker plus water cooker. Room was equipped with a large LCD TV, ironing board, desk and chair plus comfortable relax chair. Bathroom was typical traditional hotel bathroom, clean but not modern with bathtub and Glas sprinkle protection. A/C worked nicely. Windows could be opened all the way and opened to a small balcony, which gave the room good character. Hotel STAFF was very friendly and helpful. Our wishes were fulfilled right away. Hotel tried very hard to deliver a good service during COVID-19 times and made sure social distancing was applied. The hygiene concept worked very well in the SPA and breakfast areas. BREAKFAST: Breakfast was not limited due to COVID-19. The restaurant seemed to have been upgraded and had modern decor. Most items like salmon, cut meats, cheese and fruit were on buffet. Eggs were available on request and different pastries were also available. No fresh juices were offered. FITNESS CENTER, POOL & SPA Fitness Center was well equipped with machines and free weights, etc. The Spa offered a Sauna and Thermium but the steam room was out of order. Due to COVID we had to register ahead to use the facilities. The facilities were not modern but very clean and offered nice amenities to relax. The pool was very quiet because of the occupation limits. We almost had the whole area to ourselves, which made it nice. The RESTAURANT and BAR were moved into the lobby but seemed to offer full service. PRICE was ok. The value of Hilton Honors points at this location is still poor with 0,36 EUR cents per point. Silver / GOLD / Diamond member benefits Gold status was honored as “upgrade” from King guest room was awarded to King deluxe room with river view without asking for it. The water was in the room. WiFi was free and with good quality, digital check-in worked. We got late check-out until 14:00. Free full breakfast was very good. The hotel had no executive lounge but offered free drinks vouchers for a wine, beer or softdrink, for I believe all Hilton Honors members. It seems that, when the tower sweet is not occupied, the are is open for anyone to use. So check it out and enjoy the view and quietness.

I recently stayed at the Ameron Konigshof in Bonn. It is ideal for a short business trip. I was given a warm welcome and found all the staffto be polite and friendly. It is a nice hotel, not as plush as some hotels I've stayed in. It is in a good location for central Bonn, withing a few minutes walking of the main squares and attractions. Rooms are adequate, nothing special. Personally, I found the bed very hard. There is a large screen flat screen TV, however only 1 channel in English was available (CNN), others listed were not available. No tea or coffee making facility in the room, although there is an area in reception where you can make hot drinks. A nice selection of breakfast items to cover all tastes and I would imagine the dining room in the summer would have spectacular views.

We recently had occasion to stay at this hotel. The rooms booked were 135 and 134. We booked through booking.com and paid €610 plus parking @ €12 a night. If staying as a tourist you are also liable for a Berherbergungssteuer of approx €5 per room per night. The hotel is set in a wooded area close to the university hospitals. Access is restricted at the moment (August 2019) as the road leading to the hotel is undergoing renovations. This is ok for getting there but makes a return trip to the centre of Bonn or Bad Godesberg a bit of a chore. You need a car if staying at this hotel. The area it is in is residential and devoid of shops, restaurants and tourist attractions, with the exception of the wonderful woodland. Bonn city centre is approx 10km by road or a 20 min trip away. The hotel is clean and oozes quality in a Germanic way. The decor is dated - late 90’s or early 2000. There is one restaurant and a bar which opens only in autumn and winter. Drinks can be taken in the restaurant or on the lovely terrace. The latter offers wonderful views to the Siebengebirge. When we were there they had an issue with wasps, if you do suffer from allergy to their stings, best avoid the Dorint. The restaurant is open until 10:30 pm for food and drinks. The food is standard fare, nothing special. Don’t heed some of the reviews you read, the food is well done, but it does not stand out. Our Caesars salad was done with a 1000 island dressing, a bit odd. Salads generally have too much dressing on them. Prices are steepish for what is offered. The choice on the menu is ok. Service is excellent. Breakfast is also served in the restaurant; it is a buffet, the charge is €20 per room - we were 2 adults/2kids, not sure if children go free and charge is €20 per adult. The buffet selection is adequate. I have come across a lot better. Quantities and selection are on the miserly side. Saying that, the food is of good quality. You need to order cooked breakfast such as fried egg through the waiter. The coffee is miserable, served from thermos flasks. These flasks as they get older tend to develop an aroma of their own which spoils/taints the coffee. There is a good selection of teas. Again there are many wasps around, we had to flee the outside terrace and move to a table inside. There were wasps in the jam jars at the buffet. At this point I want to give a special mention to Monsieur Gabriel Adensa, a truly wonderful waiter and gentleman. The rooms at the Dorint are of purposeful size. Ours faced reception, not a great view but they were very quiet all the same. The a/c unit worked very well and the room was temperate and pleasant. The furniture and fittings were of good quality and in good condition. The style was not to our taste. The rooms could do with USB ports. There are ample sockets. The bathroom was clean. The minibar is stocked with complimentary Coke, beer and water. Housekeeping make beds daily but do not change bedding. They did not replace our tissues on
