Stayed here for a work event which was happening at the same location and I was very impressed. It's a nice looking building in nice grounds and is equally nice inside. My room was a good size with a very comfy bed and clean bathroom. Breakfast choice was good and the cooked breakfast of decent quality.

It was so busy when we checked in, but we were swiftly given our room card. Room was warm and clean. Staff in the adjoining restaurant were all lovely - especially Kevin behind the bar, his friendliness and customer service skills are a credit to your business. We ate in the restaurant - we all had steak and it wasn’t the best, tough and minuscule. One of us had the Camembert and it arrived cold - it was sent back and we received a lava hot one! Free parking, quiet clean room, brilliant staff, happy customers.

The location is more convenient, the room is equipped with a fan and dryer, but it is a bit inconvenient to have no elevator. The room is large, with one big and one small two beds, and the family is just three.

Attended with family members for a sporting occasion . What an excellent hotel . Scrumptious breakfast , I was particularly impressed by the toaster effeciency . Other guests were charming: Lively local people around particularly on Saturday night . Ingenious key system and lovely staff. It wasn’t hot so we kept the windows shut , reducing risk of unwanted access. Keep it up!

Sorry but I have to rave about the shower here! It was so good! Spacious and powerful, I didn't want to get out! The room was average, quite a small desk and no power socket to charge my laptop. The bed was really comfortable and the pillows were great. The room was too warm though, the heating wasn't on and I had the window open all night but it was very warm and stuffy. The TV had to be switched on and off at the wall which was quite annoying. At first I thought the remote control didn't work, but the maintenance man came up and switched on the TV on the wall (behind the TV which you couldn't see), and I then tried to turn the TV off using the remote but it didn't work so I resorted to switching it off at the wall. The hotel staff were really nice and friendly. Nice atmosphere in the reception and bar area. The food was really nice, I ordered Mac and Cheese with a side salad. The service was good. The menu could do with having more choices though, as it's quite limited. Breakfast is continental which is fine, but I think a cooked breakfast may do well here! Overall I enjoyed my stay, I would have given 5 stars but there are some improvements needed. Good value for money though!

Stayed here due to proximity to Birmingham Uni and the lounge / bar area looks impressive and bedrooms are clean and spacious with comfortable beds. Bedrooms look a bit dated and there are a few stairs between reception and the rooms in the far wing. The guy on reception was very friendly and helpful - served behind the bar and appeared for breakfast duty too! A full English breakfast was cooked to order (rather than a buffet due to covid) which set us up for the day. There is plenty of car parking on site. It's a handy location to walk into city centre via the canals where there are lots of places to eat /drink.

I booked this guesthouse due to it's proximity to an office I was visiting for work. The price was very good value and included breakfast so I wasn't expecting very much but was very pleasantly surprised by how nice it was. There is free parking out the front which is a bonus. On arrival, the staff were friendly and helpful. My room was comfortable and had all the amenities that I needed for a nights stay. The bed was incredibly warm and comfortable and the room was dark and very quiet so I had a very good nights sleep. Breakfast was a continental selection. The food was really good and there was everything I would have wanted including some very healthy options. I would definitely stay here on my next visit to Birmingham.

Booked in at short notice for the weekend, the first thing that strikes you on entering is the aroma of fresh flowers on the reception desk. Check in was easy and our room certainly had the wow factor. The hotel is clean comfortable and well equipped, breakfast was great served by a really nice smiley young lady who made sure we had plenty of coffee toast etc. Parking was free so that's a bonus as well and the transport links into the city are just a stones throw away. There is very little I can fault, the biggest one being the noise from the main road outside which despite double glazing, you could still hear the buzz of the traffic outside which when you live in a rural area it is something you notice,. However that is not something that the owners can be blamed for and there is little they can do to negate it. We look forward to seeing you again on our next visit in the new year.

We really really enjoyed our stay and it was excellent value. Service, hotel decor and layout and location were all outstanding. Great to be able to walk into the city centre..parking was a little walk but convenient and easy to find. Room was very comfortable and spacious and oved the extra touches such as coffee machine, prosseco and toiletries and really liked  being on a high floor..great views especially at night.  We didn’t eat in the restaurant but the menu looked good. We enjoyed drinks in the bar and had the buffet breakfast. It was overall a very good selection. A couple of the hot food items were a little dry by the time we ate which although was towards the end of the time span was still well before 10am. This however is a picky point in an overall fantastic experience and we would be extremely happy to return and recommend.

the good: - the location is as central as you can get -reasonably priced -friendly and helpful reception staff - great breakfast buffet - late check out (12) - room had hairdryer, fan, toiletries as well as the usual stuff - nice and quiet - 2 restaurants and bar onsite which you can order 24hr room service from -fairly clean the not so good: -very dated and tired inside rooms, in desperate need of a refurbish -Bathroom could have been cleaner - breakfast buffet needed topping up more often as a lot of things ran out The main problem during our stay was room service. We ordered dinner and after waiting an hour called back to be told they'd lost our order which was pretty disappointing. We ended up ordering food via Deliveroo to the hotel reception. Other all I would give the hotel another chance and stay again when we plan another trip as the location, breakfast, late check out and quietness all make it worth it for us but probably wouldn't order room service.

Very satisfied with the second stay, the hotel facilities are clean, safe and secure, the breakfast environment is good, the food is rich, the first time the waiter gave the child a small gift. The location of the hotel is good, there is a supermarket near the hotel, the hotel is 5 minutes from the right to the canal, the bar is full of dining, the night view of the canal is beautiful.

I stayed there for work between 7-16 March, covering the annual All England Badminton championship. I received the most superb service from every staff at the hotel, from reception to the restaurant to cleaning, they were simply amazing. I have lived as a foreigner in the UK for the past 15 years, but the hotel hospitality surpasses any that I have stayed. One particular reason why I was so impressed was the fact these hotel staff did not treat any of us Asian (Japanese, Chinese, Korean etc) guests any differently, at a time when Coronavirus is causing racism everywhere. Back home in Japan, I believe a hotel there started to create a "Japanese only" floor in order to keep foreigners away to minimise the risk of contracting the virus, and caused a big uproar. I was wondering if it was a burden on the hotel staff, but no, none of the staffers showed any such prejudice against me who looks blatantly Asian (North Asian, that is) and also, the level of service was superb. Every query and requests were dealt with promptly and in the most friendly/warm manner. I would recommend Jurys Inn Birmingham to any future traveller without any hesitation. Thank you for making this stay such a pleasant experience for us.

What saved this visit was the breakfast. Excellent egg station and great variety. Bar is OK, and food in the restaurant is passable. Rooms are average and the location is brilliant. Nothing exciting about this hotel, just a good solid Hilton. Not sure what I was told is an upgrade was actually one. Still - for a short business trip this is perfect. If are are torn between the Hampton up the road on Broad Streed and this one - the Garden Inn wins hands down.

More suitable for business travel, the room is too ordinary, just ordinary express hotel, buffet breakfast is also very average. The hotel does not have free parking. You can park in the opposite mall, but the parking fee is about 20 pounds. It is better to set the crown next to it and also bring free parking. I once lived in Canada on holiday inn and I feel pretty good, but really it is a lot worse. But the room is still very clean, it is enough for business trip

Had a brilliant afternoon with my bestie at the Arden hotel - wowcher deal for afternoon tea/leisure. Welcoming smile on reception and helpful direction to restaurant. We were early but got seated right away for afternoon tea by lovely waitresses who couldn’t do enough for us (at 1pm on 6th March so thanks to those on duty that day). So refreshing to have attentive staff genuinely happy in their work and so friendly. Afternoon tea absolutely delicious and plentiful and waitress offered to box up what we didn’t eat so we could take it home. Same happy helpful service at the leisure club reception and we enjoyed the pool, jacuzzi, steam room and sauna for a few hours. So relaxing and great value for money. Would definitely go again!
