Booked 3 rooms and waited for nearly an hour in the lobby to get a room. The air-conditioning in 2 rooms was broken and the toilet board in one toilet was broken! There won't be another time, but at the end of Cheka out, a person at the counter said that he hoped that we would break the deduction next time we come! The most satisfying of the whole journey is the words of Mr. Mxxxxxx!

Sanitary conditions are very good, very satisfied. The room was big and spacious, and the layout was really nice, minimalist. The location is really in the core area of the city center. You can go to supermarkets and restaurants about 200 meters away, which is a bit stunned. The bathroom shower is comfortable and upscale. There are not many choices for breakfast, but you can eat enough. There are many people eating breakfast and it is a bit crowded.

We had heard good things about the Malmaison Brasserie so decided to book a lunch treat with our friends. Upon arriving we saw what looked to be an amazing afternoon tea on another table but when we asked if we could have have that we were told ”you have to pre-book that as we don't have enough desserts”!? That was disappointment number1. As I have a gluten intolerance I was pleased to hear that I could have a number of different options made gluten-free including gluten-free breadbuns with the signature burger .. I ordered that as it's quite rare to be able to have a nice gluten-free burger! Unfortunately our server returned to say there were no GF breadbuns so I could have it without or with GF bread. Disappointed, I opted for the bread option which is just not the same with a burger! On the plus side the burger (and relish/accompaniments) tasted amazing - Just a shame they had no GF bread buns - I find this strange when things like this can be kept frozen so always available for diners. When it came to desserts were ordered 2 x Creme Brulees and 2 x sticky toffee puddings ... again only for our server to return to say there was only one creme brulee left. When you only have 4 dessert options on the menu surely you would ensure you had all of them? Once you get to this stage everything becomes a disappointment and the £10 cocktails were at best, mediocre too! The food we had was ok and the service good but including wine and drinks the bill was over £220 for lunch for 4 - I felt this was very expensive for what we had for a very disappointing lunchtime experience - we may be tempted to try the afternoon tea but we won't be in a rush to go back for the normal lunchtime menu!

Checkin was easy and quick, on the way to the room clearly some painting or building work happening as sheets over the carpet. Room was clean but a little dated but overall nice for a couple of nights in Leeds. Would I stay again - yes if it was cheap.

This was our second visit to Quebec’s. The first time was a couple of months ago when we booked a couple of nights when we went to see The Prodigy. We were greeted by Caroline, the Manager, who is a wonderful and spirited character, and she was really interested in why we were coming to Leeds and wanted to hear some Prodigy as she didn’t know it. We adored Caroline who showed us to our room and made us feel like old friends. Our room was incredible. We had the Balcony Suite which is a stunning room with chaise longue and enormous bed. The decor is beautiful. The balcony was a real treat and we enjoyed observing the passing life. I slept really well which is rare- the bed was very comfortable and so were the pillows. The above was our first visit. Anyway, we really wanted to go back and see Caroline and stay again. This time we booked the Gladstone Suite. This is the largest room in the hotel, from what I understand, and the bathroom is over the balcony in the balcony room we had before. This suite is exceptionally beautiful and has two sofas in the sitting area, and a dining area. The bed was huge- and really comfortable. The previous night we had been in Manchester attending a gig for friends and I had not slept at all in the hotel in which we stayed. I was exhausted by the time we arrived at Quebec’s. We were there for another gig. I didn’t want to go to the gig when I saw our room. I wanted to spend the evening in the rather fabulous bath. But we went anyway but didn’t stay late. I slept extremely well. Very comfortable. Phew. So, guess what, we are seeking out more gigs in Leeds so we can come back. London is only an hour from us but we would rather drive four hours to Leeds to have a fabulous hotel experience and go to a smaller gig- because the hotel is fabulous. Breakfast is good too on the fourth floor- we enjoy watching the crane on the construction site nearby. Aside from the fabulous staff, not just Caroline, but the other reception staff and bar staff we met, they are all really engaging and interested in us the customers. It’s very welcoming. I can’t say enough nice things about our visits. The curved stained glass wall is exquisite. The outside brickwork is stunning. I want to move in. Thank you.

Superior location. The hotel has good facilities. In front of the gate is the river. It's safe, too. I do a lot of running in the morning. Next to it is a new shopping mall. Later, I found that there are many noodles to eat. You can also see the scenery outside. Very good

Twin room, budget hotel with friends for graduation ceremony. We are at the University of Leeds-Hotel-Leeds Station. Still need to take a taxi, walking is not within range. The bathroom in the hotel didn't like it very much. It felt like a space-type toilet. Facilities are a bit old, but the price is very good

🚗 Traffic: Very close to the train station and Leeds University, with good parking spaces. The location is relatively hidden and there is no obvious sign, so privacy is also very good. (Address: LS1 5JW) 🔔 Service: The front desk is very polite, need ID (generally not required) deposit 200GBP, five-star hotel lobby service 🧹 Health: It's relatively clean, maybe some old stains can't be solved. 🍃 Environment: It is a better hotel apartment with complete facilities. You may need to pay attention to not leaving the fan outside, which makes the room more complicated.

My friend and I booked an afternoon tea for ourselves and our 6 year old daughters. What an experience it was... the girls were treated like princesses. The service was fantastic, and the staff were so good with the girls, even offering them an ice cream at the end! The food was beautifully presented and tasted incredible. A great variety. The scones were spot on, and the girls were so excited with the cakes. Youssef was fantastic and attended to all our needs, we told him on the way out it was the best afternoon tea we have ever had. I can't recommend this place enough,.. beautiful surroundings, gorgeous food and a wonderful experience for us and the girls.

Superb hotel, conference venue and the location and grounds are beautiful. Stayed overnight in a single room for a work event. As organisers the staff couldn’t do enough for us. Great facilities, lots of chill out areas and seating outside. My room was delightful, small super comfy double, nice bed linen, modern design, spotlessly clean, windows that opened (essential), contemporary bathroom, toiletries, fluffy towels, tea and coffee facilities and water. I loved the way the room design incorporated the stunning original features. I particularly appreciated the vintage bathroom door knob. The food was good, and there was lots of water available. The lunch was particularly delicious, tasty salads and authentic spicy dishes. The catering staff are particularly attentive, polite and helpful. I would recommend this hotel for business events and as a hotel.

We booked a one night stay as a friend’s birthday party was just around the corner and I must say after reading reviews we were a little dubious. I must say on arrival all doubts were quashed, most reviews are rather old and the hotel has been renovated since. On arrival we were greeted at reception by a friendly man (unfortunately I didn’t catch his name), he got us checked in promptly and offered us a choice of 2 rooms both with en-suite facilities, although he explained the room on the first floor had a lovely view of the city, we opted for the ground floor room as we didn’t want to risk waking other guests when we can in late at night. The room we got was lovely, very modern and clean looking and as it was a cold night we were delighted that the room was nice and warm. The bed linen was clean and fresh and it’s one of the best nights sleep we’ve had in a hotel. There was tea and coffee facilities in the room with plenty of tea, coffee, milk and sugar. The bathroom was very clean and modern and looked rather new. The shower was very good, with excellent pressure and plenty of room to manoeuvre. On check out the man on reception was very friendly again, he really did make us feel welcome. Don’t be put off by old reviews this hotel is lovely and we would definitely stay here again.

The dormitory checked out on the last day after graduation and returned to China. The location is good, next to the train station. The facilities are all very clean. I don't give full marks because I don't think it's amazing, but if it meets the ordinary needs, it's similar to the holiday inn on Burley Road, but this room has a larger area. There is a direct path from the entrance of the hotel to the train station, there is no need to go around to the front, it is from the red bridge hole, go directly to platform 1, the bridge hole is probably hundreds of years old, right?

This was definitely a mixed visit. On arrival we were checked in quite quickly receptionist was firmly enough although the reception desk itself seemed more like an information hub then a check in desk so the initial walk in was a bit confusing for me and my partner who don't stay in many hotels.. the one main thing that I noticed in the reception area is just through a set of double doors towards what would seem to be a fitness studio with an overlook of the pool had a chair with quite a nasty looking stain picture included. On arrival into the room things seemed clean tidy and presentable although there were a couple of things that could have been better for example one normal sized towel and 3 hand towels wasn't great and 2 towels would have been better, the toilet roll was very basic and clearly the cheaper stuff which you wouldn't so much expect when staying at a village hotel, there was a tile missing on the bathroom floor with a questionable amount of dust and dirt inside and around this hole and finally the doorframe seemed to be hanging off pictures of this are included. We had a look at the restraunt menu and it's safe to day if you don't fancy a burger, salad or chicken wings you will have to make other arrangements as we did by visiting the local residence 74 cafe about a mile away where we had a lovely time great food and a reasonable meal price. The bar is quite an open space and at first a bit confusing as there are some cinema chairs and big tvs but only playing the news. We had a drink I'm the evening this was probably priced for the venue but at £15 for a single vodka and lemonade and a double whisky we decided on only one when we found out that the bar closed for residents at 11pm which we found a bit early as other places stay open for residents. Room service would have been an option but from what I read this finished at 9.30pm and the is no in room phone to order such. Sleep was comfortable and sheets were clean it was just very hot as the window barely opens, there was no fan provided and no aircon. The TV also says its an Internet TV but upon attempt of connection no services were available. This morning the hotel seemed alot calmer and relaxed, we weren't sure of the breakfast procedures at all so we just sat down and were asked our room number but my partner got quite frustrated as she is autistic and no clear instructions were given it took us a while to source out breakfast and when we did we noticed it was very limited consisting of mushroom scrambled egg starnge potato circles beans tomatoes sausage and bacon. Honestly for me hash Brown's and black pudding are staples of English breakfast and should always be included when possible but unfortunately they were unavailable. I was going to ask a staff member but only one was seen briefly. There was also a High table next to us that was very dirty and when the staff member went to clean she simply sprayed it didn't wipe it and moved on, this didn't seem very hygienic. Breakfast was very average the addition of streaky bacon and chipolata sausages as opposed to tradition thick sausages and back bacon seemed very odd and definitely not our cup of tea! Coffee was not good atall however they do have a starbucks with is great because we do enjoy it. The night receptionist seemed to keeping a very close on me without speaking I found this quite lntimidating as a hotel guest and would have preferred him to ask me any concerns he had other than staring at me until I awkwardly said hello in which he just smiled and looked away briefly until I did then followed me with his eyes towards the stairs and no doubt watched me on camera until I entered my room. Overall a fair experience perfect I guess if you just need a quick room and have to extra money to burn but not ideal for us so probably wouldn't return.

We were looking to stay in Leeds as a family of 3 (child age 3) and this option worked well for us having living space for after little one had gone to sleep. Parking all went smoothly, half price in sovereign square (hotel give you voucher to put in machine before you pay and leave, dont need to do anything before park). Apartment was great, including a well equipped kitchen which we used a little for snacks for our son and mainly breakfasts and lovely living area. We had asked for an extra cotbed in the bedroom and it was there when we arrived and bedroom was still spacious. Staff were all v friendly and room got cleaned daily. The only slight negative was nowhere to stop and drop bags by apartments before parking, website says there is but so many roadworks and building work going on in leeds centre including right by apartments so no chance! Also google maps does not pick up location of apartments correctly it thinks you are always on quebec st, this meant we went to wrong place on arrival but also if you want to order takeaway have same issue with delivery. Best to just use infirmary st address itself.

The hotel still holds plenty of it original decorations which has made me wonder if it is a listed building. The car park was small and full but we did manage to get a parking space The staff where polite and friendly both in the bar and on reception The room was ok but I was disappointed with the decor as I felt it had lost the tradition of the hotel. The facilities in the room where good and it was nice having robes The breakfast restaurant was very clean and there was a good Selection of hot and cold food. However the hot breakfast was not very nice. This was possible because the food was served as a buffet and it was probably stale because it had been sat there a while. I did not feel the price for the room was good value for money and I felt the decor within the room let the hotel down. The bar area and the reception area and the lounge area was very well presented and very comfortable however it would not be a first choice hotel for me to re-book to go back to.

Started off well for work trip, nice staff, room was clean with new shower, clean towel. After midnight a lot of noise started, banging, shouting, furniture being moved above me. Fell asleep eventually and woke to someone hammering on my window around 2am and shouting a man's name trying to get in. Scared the life out of me, I heard them say ”over here” and they moved from my window so I tried to go back to sleep. The noises, shouting, swearing and front door banging opening and shut went on all night. Woke again around 5 to a man screaming F.Off and a load of other abuse. Around 7 one of my neighbours came out of his room to demand a refund as he woke to a man in his room that had climbed through the window around 2 am and walked out of his door! Fortunately I'd climbed on a chair and closed my windows as I was on the ground floor and was sleeping alone. The hotel is being used as a doss house by the local housing department who arrived to kick them out after they recieved an email this morning but they had gone out already.Staff have been told to evict them and call police if necessary when they come back. As a lone woman travelling this is quite a frightening experience and having to leave knowing that it's all kicking off due to complaints from us overnight guests is quite intimidating. There were people here that know the people about to be kicked out and I'm listening to them listing their mental health conditions while they stand outside my door as I waited for a good moment to leave. This is not a hotel it is a dumping ground for local housing. Avoid this place at all costs unless you want to risk waking up with a cr*ck head at the end of your bed. They have also changed name it is not Avalon now it is Hyde ( maybe Park) on the name plate now. Was in too much of a hurry to leave to take note

I have stayed at the hotel so long it's clear that it feels like home and I can honestly they they don't go less than above and beyond to help you feel at ease and at home I have not one complaint to make other than, can't you just let me live there guys xx 🥰 Helen on the desk is one of the loveliest people you'll probably encounter and if there's an issue they try their best to deal with it in a favourable manner so that you don't feel awkward or embarrassed, well once they know you better, you'll have to remember how many people they all deal with minute by minute and they aren't all reasonable, understanding or rationale but they all seem to keep their cool and keep a light humour to the situation which is lovely xx

In addition to the location of the railway station, trinity mall Ok, There is a fitness room on the first floor, although it is not very big, it is better than few people go, but you have to bring your own water. When the high-level people see the city center, they are all ok. On the other side, you can see the distant view of the suburbs, which is comfortable.

Great location in the Moto services on a roundabout that leads to York, Wetherby and the A1M. Really convenient for going out. Loads of parking, although would be better if there was a dedicated area for hotel guests as the bit nearest the hotel seems to be where everyone wants to park, particularly vans. Basic budget hotel with tea and coffee facilities in the room, a TV and a shower room. Would have said it was clean until I found a babies dummy under the bed on the last morning of our 3-night stay. Odd numbered rooms face the car park. On the ground floor rooms from 021 to 037 overlook the grass between hotel and car park where people stand to smoke and everyone takes their dog to do its business. Got a bit annoying when people stood almost against our window even when it was open. Closed window pretty good at keeping out the noise day and night. Additional door in the corridor just before room 021 also cut down on the early morning shouting of people leaving their rooms. Room surprisingly quiet. Did have one issue but it was sorted out pretty swiftly by management with no argument, so can't fault them on service. Breakfast is available for £7 but not much variety. Some cereals, yogurt, fruit, cheese and bread/cakes. Greggs next door much cheaper.

Breakfast is good! The room is small and the peak season is very expensive!

Not too far from the train station, the hotel conditions are very good, the service is not bad, the next time there is a chance to live

Breakfast was ok and rich. A folding bed in the room seems a bit redundant. If you live alone, the guest room staff should help pack it up. There are better options and not recommended.

We had the cheapest type of double room and it was well designed, modern and clean. Enjoyed the choice of waterfall or normal showerhead, and the choice of magazines available including a Yorkshire one, men's health and Cosmo. Breakfast was lovely, alternative milks are not displayed but ask for them and they have almond, soya and oat. Also veggie sausages but only on request. Unfortunately no hair conditioner provided, only shampoo, body wash and moisturiser. Aircon worked perfectly- recently stayed at the Met which has none at all and was an awful experience so this was a sigh of relief. Iron provided and ironing board, safe works well. Hairdryer provided. Plugs by the bed. Would stay again.

Room was absolutely fine, spacious and clean. A bit dated but did the job nicely for family of four. Perfect location very central as we were going to concert in The Arena. Staff were very friendly and more than helpful.
