Beautiful design hotel with lovely welcoming owners. Very well located, very animated and lively area. Great combination to the transfers for both airports. Next to Tamsin square and Galata Tower Variety of restaurants and shopping The hotel is new and family managed, they are lovely people and the room is a dream. I would recommend it really great value. I’ll be back for sure !

      - Services/Friendly: Front desk was 1* out of 5*. I regreted not listen to other reviews and still booked this place for money saving purpose... front desk were not rude, but they just didn't seem to care about you/customers. - Location: Very convenient to everywhere! Evey airport bus stop is a short walking(~5 min) distance. This was also why we booked this place. - Lobby: You have like 20 stairs to walk up, no ramp. If you have heavy luggage... you are out of luck. Spacious lobby. - Elevator: pretty samll. Have 2 available. But one was having issue that when it arrived, there was a 20-30cm drop. They really needed to get that serviced/checked before someone get hurt from that. - Price: Early Dec, $~75 USD a night. Very afforable. - Wifi speed/Quality: Slow... usable, but slow. Many sites couldn't be opened(Even Wiki), not sure if it was blocked or something. - Noise Level: Thin wall, noise from next door could be heard clearly/loudly especially at night. - Safe/Security: There was a safe box at room. - View From Room: No city or street view, the back size of the rooms all face like the back side of a bunch of buildings. - Room size: Bathroom was verrry small. Room was okay. - Room cleanliness/condition: 3* out of 5* We are non-smoker and was trying to get a non-smoke room, was told all rooms were smoking room...(couldn't believe it!) Torn bed sheet(need to be replaced), broken/cracked glass/mirrow(on decor), broken title in shower, half broken towel hanger, shower tiles need some search clean(mold) and re-caulk for sink. Gum on room carpet. - Bathroom cleanliness: Okay... Hairs at the didn't get cleaned. - Bed/Mattress Quality: 3* out of 5* - Housekeeping quality: 1* out of 5* Very nice lady, but did a poor job. Trash left by previous guest was on the upper level of the closet/shelf, she probably didn't see it(due to height) so that never got cleaned. Also a broken coat hanger was on the same level on shelf, left from previous guest, never got removed. A pencil was on the floor underneath the nightstand(totally visible), also left by previous guest, never got cleaned/removed. - Breakfast: Very good variety/selection, and amazing view to the whole city. Very friendly staff and nice dining area. Love this! - Good for...? Budget traveler. Not for romantic gateway... And for people who does not care about friendliness or smoker! - Stay again? No No NO. I value friendliness a lot. Although the location is great, but there are like 5 hotels in the same block, all like next to each other, I would book at another place with better service and offers a non-smoking room.

This a great hotel to act as base to explore the whole city. It’s just across the road from Taksim Square Metro so you have access to the whole network and it’s at the start of İstiklal Avenue so you have loads of shops and food places. If you are looking to mainly stay in a hotel during your visit and you’re looking for a hotel as the destination and the experience then Taksim Square Hotel won’t be for you. It’s a proper working hotel. It’s modern, clean and well looked after. The air con works, the blackout blinds do the job and the windows keep most noise out. The towels were clean and soft, the beds and bed linen clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was a version of a Turkish breakfast (cooked meats, olives, boiled egg). I’ve had better but not too sure if this was because of COVID 19 and they’ve had to do more advance prep and go light on the ingredients. There are loads of places nearby that you can eat out at all times of the day and night as an alternative. What noise there is is fairly minimal and should not keep you awake. Taksim Square is a fairly iconic location so it attracts a lot of people throughout the day and night but if you’ve come to Istanbul for a quiet time you have probably made the wrong destination choice. The staff were very helpful and unobtrusive. I’d stay again. Imagine a Premier Inn or a Travel Lodge but as a one off and not as part of a large chain.

I reserved a two-night stay at this hotel through hotels.com. I know it was non-refundable and technically they had the right to slam me. BUT they didn't have to. When I was making my booking, I accidentally put in the wrong month; my secretary caught my error the next day, so I called hotels.com customer service; they were very polite, but said the hotel would have to approve the correction of the right dates. All I was asking was to change my two-night reservation from March to April...same days of the month. They would experience no loss. But the hotel chose not to help with a reasonable request. So, now I have to pay for two nights (not even near dates) and also pay for two additional nights in April. One thing for sure...I won't be booking those two nights in the same hotel. Very short-sighted, Taksim Metropark Hotel! How easy it would have been for you to simply change the month for me and try to make a customer happy!

This hotel is on the edge of taksim square. The service staff of the hotel are not very friendly, but other facilities of the hotel are still very good. The hotel's breakfast and restaurant are very good. It's a pity that the time is too short. There is a restaurant on the 9th floor of the hotel that I didn't feel in a hurry. I hope I can go there next time.

My friend and i came from overseas for health tourism and our travel agent booked Taksim View Hotel (they also call themselves View Hotel Istanbul) for 4 nights for us. From the moment we arrived my friend told me that the owner at the reception made her feel uneasy and i told my friend no you are just tired because of the long plane journey. We came to our room on level 1 and the owner opened the door for us. he handed my friend one key card/ door access card and then we asked for our 2nd key card as we have paid for two people not for one person. The owner started making up storied that the last person has not returned the other key card and he will give us the spare one tomorrow. We looked around the room, it was dirty with food and tea stains on the tables, hair in the basin and shower floor. We kept asking for the 2nd card everyday and he just made up stories that he will bring it to our room and never did. We started missing our dirty underwear in our room and when he was at the reception he kept saying we need to access to our room for upgrades and what not. Also we became friend with another solo travelling in the area and he was helping us with navigating and becoming familiar with the area. During our stay my friend and i had both gone through extensive teeth procedure and were not doing so well. Our new friend came to watch over us for a bit as we were in pain and needed assistance. Our poor friend got stuck on the streets of Taksim as it was women international day and taksim square streets/roads were closed that evening due to protest for international women day. After he had passed many check point our friend got to our hotel to keep an eye on us and once the road closers outside were removed he would go back to his hotel as police had closed and blocked every access point to the city centre and taksim square and the Taksim Came. Suddenly the owner of the hotel started ringing our room phone and getting all rude and disrespectful that your friend has to leave right now or i will charge you for 3 people. I told him look outside the reception door and you can see all the police cars and ambulance , protesters and the blocked roads. And once it clear our friend will go to his hotel in Cahangir safely. The owner started being very disrespectful and screaming on the phone and I said look its 11:30pm and its not right the way his treating the guest just because we are female tourist in a foreign country. We told him please stop calling and our friend is going to leave in the next 15 minutes. He hanged up and came up to our room banging on our door at 11:45pm shouting open the door. With the owner screaming and banging on our door at 11:45pm at night he almost gave my female friend who was sleeping after her teeth surgery. The owner started and fighting and then kicked our friend out of the hotel during this unsafe environment out side. Please do not stay at this unsafe, dirty, unprofessional, extremely noisy and expensive hotel(mor

My boutique Hotel - what can I say a little gem of a hotel. If you want to live amongst the locals experience local life eat at very reasonably priced restaurants. Be 10 min walk from the sulimaniya mosque. 15 min walk from Emenio tram and 15min from spice bazaar then this is the place. Not only for these reasons you should book but also book for the following. The rooms are immaculate clean tidy and beautiful they all have a mini fridge. Bathrooms are immaculate with a shower and complimentary shampoo shower soap and hand soap. A hair dryer is also provided. Wi Fi in all rooms and super fast connection .The Manger Jon could not do enough for us and the rest of the team equally helpful nothing was ever too much from booking us a taxi to finding us an iron to use. Our travel agent had booked us a twin room by mistake. When we reached the hotel we asked if a double was available unfortunately there was not but where told after 3 days a family room would become available and for a very small fee we could have this one and we did. The roof Terrance has a beautiful view of the sulimaniya mosque. Over all a pleasant stay do not get put off by the street this is not the centre of a tourist place but home for locals who are very friendly I as a woman went out and about on my own and did not feel threatened or harassed. I think a few little tweaks would make this place even better. 1. Tea and coffee making facility in the room we brits like our morning cup of tea. 2. The family room we stayed in was on the ground floor for decor purposes they had a glass wall ( don’t worry you can not see in or out) however in the night when the light is on of the lobby this gave continues light into the room. A curtain would be perfect to draw at night . 3. The terrace I would of used a little more than I did if it was a little more welcoming plants some traditional Turkish sofas with cushions. 4. May be a few English speaking channels on the TV However the above are only suggestions and do not take away from the fact how beautiful this hotel was and the hospitality was superb. We are definitely looking to book again this year with our children

I came here with my girlfriend in September and everything was good. The rooms & bathrooms were clean, the terrace was large and the breakfast was tasty and more than enough. They let us stay at the terrace 24/7 where we had free tea, caffe and juice. The hotel is situated near the major attractions (about 10 minutes walking until Hagia Sofia for instance) and it’s very quiet at night on the hotel’s street. I definitely recommend this place!

Advantages: 1. Convenient location. The hotel is 10 minutes walk from the subway station and the airport can go directly to this subway station. It is close to all the attractions and you can take 100 taxis. 2. There are many snacks. There are 2 711 and shopping malls/Wangquan duty-free in 3 minutes walk (Amway mall negative one floor massage shop, the price is cheap and comfortable). The mall is the subway station, and there are many stalls to sell food. 3. The room is very big! The space to live is not crowded enough, the front desk and staff are friendly Disadvantages: There are so many mosquitoes and no nets to drive them away that they are bitten mad every day 2. Wireless is hard to use! Both have computer ipad phones, and they can connect to 4 devices. The ipad has been used by the hotspot. And every morning wifi automatically does not have a network, and occasionally the signal will be broken during the day 3. The basin is very slow and the central air conditioning occasionally blows a smell. And! The alley where the hotel is located is very narrow, always have a car and motorcycle to avoid the alley, you will walk on the sink will be very annoying Summary: Convenient location room is very good price so stayed for 2 weeks But the wireless and the mosquitoes made me move out. If there is no need for multi-device wireless connection, it is recommended to buy a mosquito coil to live here. Tip: Hotel requires 1,000 cash deposits

The hotel is very good and the rooms are new. The hotel is clean. We stayed 1 week after the surgery and everyone was very well interested in us, especially the Lady Sedef. The lady Sedef came to me, the lady raised my morality, the place came to me, broke the eggs and brought me separately. We could have stayed shorter without him. Breakfast was wonderful, no unnecessary products, little fresh and quality. He had 24 hours of drink. We stayed in the standard room especially the bathroom is very comfortable and clean and new. The shower is very wide. The beds are soft. They even gave extra beds because of my disturbance. Balcony rooms look at a very sweet street. It's impossible to tire. Thank you again for meeting all our requests 🙏🏽 but there are very good restaurants in the nearby. Only one staff went away and we were a little annoying, but all other than him were so ridiculous and helpful that we missed.

I would suggest to put more furniture or clothes racks. Also they put limited toilet paper, we had to ask to the front desk for more. Not a big deal but had to mentioned it.

We stayed in this hotel at the beginning of April 2021. That was a family trip and we stayed there for a couple of days. What we really loved was the location of the hotel and the staff. The staff was very nice, responsible, and always ready to help. When it comes to the hotel itself and the breakfast they provide, it is not bad but could be better :) but still, I think it is a good value for that money. For staying there for a couple of days I'd highly recommend this hotel.

Very bad experience.. Besides the breakfast that was tasty and there was a variety, all but it was Drama! In no way it was a 4-star hotel but 2!!! We lived on the 304th floor, paid more money to have a beautiful room and it was disappointment! I don't want to talk about the bathroom that was a bath too small and too old, that you need a scab to get in, much less I was in my condition and it was next to the bathtub... Inadmissible!!!! The TV didn't catch up beyond a channel. There was a little piece of balcony, which was completely collapsed and of course cleaners are paid for not cleaning. There were chips of cigarettes thrown out of the previous ones...The chips don't just fold them up... The elevators are too small, they can fit two people without bags of course! What a shame we gave you, you filthy! ! We will not prefer you again! The staff at the morning is noble! You need renovation because it's a black mess!

The hotel is central, its room, cleaning and breakfast is perfect in a word ... However, the unsustainable approaches of the reception staff from the staff group cause blood loss to the hotel shareholders. Persons who appear to be officials in the blonde and civilian reception area but who do not have any explanation of their duty, are in the hotel's outdoor-oriented work air rather than the face of the hotel. ... Without going to be on September 15, 2022 at 12.00, my cousin will ask for permission from the reception staff I mentioned to celebrate the successful treatment and they will be in the situation. Although they were told they could, they say they cannot accept guests in the hotel, lobby and room, and they add “Give him his money”. There is no understanding. Why can one day stay be requested for a person who came to the hotel for a small celebration 10 minutes before my exit? If I asked, the blond civilian staff answered, “Is it just paid for staying?” It's an irregularity, unerfarenness, unfamily... It stresses the person who came to the point of prostitution and hits people, and doesn't stop shooting... It'll be a client of the hotel or his shareholders and especially if I have received the right information I wanted to inform the hotel owner, Selahattin Bey, by reaching these lines, and to make my voice known. This is not a business with these men. Do not give your investment to people who do not know where the sentence is going and who do not know where it is going. If I asked these two staff for a single document that the guests would not enter the hotel, they would not have been able to give it, and if I had informed the tourism police of the situation by means of our state's possibilities, they would have been in difficulty. I forgot to say that in addition to the airport bus, there is a mini minibus, you can pick up and drop off at the airport, but the premise is to let the hotel arrange it first. The pick-up is available for a time period, not at any time. There are cars from early in the morning to the evening, such as when I left, 9:40, 11 o'clock, I sit 9: 40, the price is 10 euros, I arrived at night, hit 190 lira, at first thought that the driver was not authentic, later found that it was really the taxi in Turkey, this is the market, 10 kilometers about 65 lira,

We got the smallest room in the roof top of the building which has a view of the blue mosque from the window. The room ant bathroom were very small but cozy. We got this room as it was the last one in the hotel the rest of the rooms look much bigger, but we got a very fair price deal. It didn't have a lift so we needed to go upstairs 4 floors every time, but they helped us carrying our luggage to the top room, so no complains. At the reception they gave us a very good advice of where to go and we realized the hotel was in a very convenient location, nearby mini markets and restaurants. The hotel is located 10 minutes walking from the blue mosque and 5 minutes walking to the nearest metro station.

Breakfast has a great selection, price was really good for the junior suite and the service was good. Not very much English speaking so hard to communicate at times. Spa offer is great.

If you go to travel, try not to make a reservation, it is too far, although the hotel services and facilities are very good.

I stayed in this hotel for 2 days. The impact with the neighborhood is not the best, but the hotel has a good location. When I arrived, the room was not clean, there were hair residues on the bed, the coating was masked, and the floor was left to desire. I realized that the room smelled smoke as soon as I came in, which was irritating for those who do not smoke like me. The TV is not connected to the current (and if the colleagues are) lacking an antenna, there is also a air conditioner (but I don't know if it works). The bathroom has a set of 3 small saponges, shower-shampoo, balsam and shampoo. You can bring food in the room without problems. It has all the ability to become a good hotel.

      Sultan Ahmed Mosque
There are several hotels in the Sultanahmet area of Istanbul where Poem is located. While it doesn't have a roof top terrace like some of the others, this probably contributes to the fact that, even while surrounded by tourists, it is exceptionally quiet, as only hotel guests come in an out. Furthermore, it is located on a little side-street, so that despite having a room on the first floor, we never had issues with noise. All the major attractions are less than 10 min away by foot. Restaurants in the area are plentiful but expensive and you can easily pay 1/2 if you venture a bit farther into the city. The restaurant in the hotel Tria across the street, has a nice roof terrace and is quite good. The rooms are small but clean and modern. Electricity is turned on by inserting your room key into a slot at the entrance of the room, so that during hot August days with temperatures in the 90s, we had to wait 5-10 min to get the temperature down. But the shower is amazing and we simply took a quick shower while the A/C kicked in. Breakfast is free and unconventional with at least a dozen little plates with sweet and savory spreads and cheeses as well as freshly baked pastries that change day to day. Cappuccinos, and espressos are available. But what really distinguishes Poem is the friendly staff that guided us through the city and was always courteous. On our departure day, it was raining cats and dogs and the taxi that was supposed to take us to the airport was 30 minutes late. The gentleman at the reception jumped into his own car and drove us the 60 minutes to the airport himself !!! I will never forget this level of engagement. I would certainly recommend this hotel and would be happy to come back.

Overall …it’s good hotel ,security alright but it can’t expands due to its location. as it’s rooms need to be expanded

Is guest howson here? I booked a double room and when I entered the room, one room had a bed and the room I was assigned was king size? I had two beds side by side. .. Nobody came, but I wish I could have told you beforehand that no one came in today. But I knew it was a share room at first, and I was able to stay at a low price except for embarrassment.
