We arrived about 10 am and our room was not ready until 2pm which was acceptable so we had a coffee, sorted our bits out then ventured out to the sunshine of Paris. When we returned later that day we were shown to our room. On 4th floor in lift, wandered down a lovely corridor to our rooms next to each other. My room was double aspect. Fab colour. Beautiful bathroom with bath and overhead shower. Fridge with drinks, safe in wardrobe. Windows opening to juliet balcony. Beautiful Curtains Everything in the room was beautiful and spotlessly clean. Hairdryer, beautiful towels, tissues and hair and body items for bath. Two bedside tables and lamps. TV was British news which was helpful during the corona virus. The breakfast was more than enough to see us until later in the day. Eggs were a challenge until it was explained how to use the machine as us simple English people had never used a contraption like it. I cant say more than its a beautiful wonderful hotel where the staff are so so lovely. Thank you so much.

We have stayed at this hotel 4 times since 2014, 3 times pre-pandemic and the last recently. The location is fantastic. It is on Rue St. Jacques about a block off the Seine, one block east of the Blvd. Saint Michel. It is a heavy tourist area, with narrow streets and an endless variety of cheap restaurants of all types. But it is so close to so many things -- Notre Dame, the Pantheon, La Chapelle, Luxembourg Gardens. It is wedged between the fashionable 6th and 7th arrondissements to the West and the Sorbonne to the East. Other than location, however, the hotel does not have a lot going for it. On our last stay, we were given a very tiny room, and I mean tiny. It was a double, with maybe a foot of clearance on each side of the bed and no more than about 5 feet from the foot of the bed to the wall. Our booking said the room was 173 square feet, but this was nowhere close. I measured and it was about 120 square feet, including the bathroom and a useless little hall that connected the bathroom to the bedroom. If memory serves me, the measurements of the bedroom proper were about 8 x 11 with a 2 x 6 foot indentation where the desk/minibar was kept. There was not enough room to open our suitcase unless we put it on the bed, which is not optimal to say the least. (See pictures.) We objected to the front desk, and while the clerk was very professional, the bottom line was there was nothing he could do and he tried to convince us that this was a "classic" double and would be the same at any other 3 star hotel. This is not true and does not explain why it would be billed as 173 square feet. The next day we were given a larger room which was 173 square feet and quite adequate, even comfortable. The bed, linens and towels were about what you would expect from a 3 star hotel, no complaints about that. The toiletries were minimal and practically useless. The internet was painfully slow. Housekeeping was borderline. The sheets were not changed, which does not bother me for a 3 night stay, but I don't think we were given fresh towels. The 1/8th inch sliver of soap was not replaced, nor were the 1/2 ounce tubes of shampoo / body wash. Breakfast is not included and unlike most hotels there is no option to include it. Thus you pay full price, which is way too much and has declined over the years. The offering is a couple types of cold cuts, a couple types of cheese in tiny individual wrappers, three flavors of yogurt if lucky, two types of cold cereal, a croissant, a few pieces of fruit, small loaves of bread, puff pastry pain au chocolate and hard boiled eggs. There is probably sliced bread and a toaster. Due to the limited selection, every breakfast is going to be the same. The tables are extremely small, and great care must be taken to fit everything, and we are talking about a plate, a cup and saucer, a pot of coffee and a small pitcher of warm milk. One careless motion and something is bound to land on the floor. One distress

I stayed at National Day for five nights. There are many restaurants around. The environment is very good and safe. The front desk attitude is also very good. The request for room change is also satisfied. The only thing missing is that I didn’t give slippers, saying that I have to clean the room staff in the morning. It was raised at the time, but we always missed it. The slippers we brought with us were not enough, resulting in a pair of slippers to wear. . 😂

Our room was absolutely tiny and looked nothing like the pictures. The shower had mould around the screen and the bathroom could barely fit one person standing. Breakfast was minimal, freshly cooked croissants was a huge plus but other than that, very little variety and not very fresh, the pineapple looked on the turn and the cheese and meat looked straight from a supermarket packet. Fortunately we weren't there for the hotel but still, it wasnt cheap for two nights and I had expected more.

1. A hotel with a very good location and surrounding environment, local friends in Paris know and evaluate well; 2, the hotel is very clean, the old house renovation is very comfortable, the facilities are also considered very intimate in the design; 3, the service is somewhat unpleasant at the time of check-in, the city tax is paid in advance but the invoice is not given. The local tour guide communicates with them and their attitude is not good. Other services are good after the check-in; especially a black man in the night shift is very responsible.

Great location and room for a solo traveler, could see Notre Dame from my room, also only a few blocks for my morning walk to Bertrands, I stayed there twice in the same trip. I left for Koln for a few days and came back, my second room had an extra twin bed which was nice to put my things on. The top floor was a little hard to get to especially being tall and having a heavy suitcase. I would stay here again.

Lovely hotel, with friendly staff. The rooms were a little small (as most are in Paris) but perfectly sufficient. Our room had 2 balconies, with enough room for table and 2 chairs with great street views. Location was perfect, round the corner from the notre dam and Luxembourg gardens with excellent metro links to other main attractions, closest metro was Cluny. The breakfast was 10 euros each and was worth it. Fully continental with fresh pastries each day, selection of cold meats, cheese and bread. Tea/coffee, juice and eggs cooked to your liking. The hotel doesn’t have a bar but is close to lots of bars/restaurants. The rooms had tea/coffee making facilities, safe and fridge. We bought beer from the shop around the corner and put in our fridge to have a night cap on the balcony after the days of sightseeing. The lift is small but only used it to get suitcases up and down. Would recommend and stay here again

There were no categorical minuses, only obvious pluses. The hotel does not provide a transfer, we took a taxi from booking. We checked in late at night - without any additional payments, as in other hotels. Great location, we were accommodated in a small but cozy room (room 46) on the 7th floor, from one window you could see Notre Dame and Sacré Coeur, and from the other the Eiffel Tower, special thanks for such views. All sights are within easy reach , from the hotel to the Tower on the Seine, an hour's walk, as well as to the Sacré-Coeur, not far from delicious bakeries (bakery is love !!!), shops, pharmacies and the metro, where you can get directly to Disneyland and Versailles. Cleaning in the room every day - take out the trash, change towels, fill the bed. Were in the winter - heating due to air conditioning and an electric battery. Soap, cups, shower gel and shampoo are provided, but there are no slippers and there is not enough curtain in the shower. At the reception there is a map of Paris, if suddenly someone needs it, a brochure with excursions, if necessary, you can ask for a corkscrew) Very beautiful elevator Thank you very much for your hospitality, I definitely recommend

We have enjoyed our short stay in Royal Saint Michel Hotel. One might comment on the size of the room and the tiny elevator, but we won't. Saint-Germain-des-Prés is our favorite neighbourhood in Paris, and we keep returning. Over years, we have booked rooms in different hotels in the area, and we can quite knowledgeably compare different offers. Royal Saint Michel's location is perfect: close to restaurants, major tourist attractions (Holy Chapel, Notre Dame Cathedral, Sorbonne, Pierre Hermé boutique & café, Le Procope, Place de Furstenberg, Luxembourg Gardens, The Pantheon, Shakespeare and Company etc.), the RER station - line B, which means direct connection to the airport. The had a quiet room facing the courtyard, full of light in morning. The bed was comfortable. Coffee and tea were available anytime. We are grateful for being accommodated an early check-in which offered us some additional hours of strolling the streets and enjoying Paris. We plan to return.

The small and old double room in the room is less than 1 meter 5 and the friend squeezed for one night. It is really not recommended to live. The nearby holiday hotel is not good to enter but it is better to book a regular hotel, but the transportation is very convenient. Walking, you can go to Notre Dame

It is very convenient to buy daily necessities and eat nearby, the service is also good, giving a warm feeling. However, the room is super small, simple appearance, the bed is also very small, it is recommended that fat people do not book here. The room I stayed in was very quiet, and the other room where my friend lived was very noisy, because there were many shops nearby that opened late at night, so the room when I checked in decided the quality of the stay.

Stayed at Hotel Panache for 3 nights. Booked last minute and was still able to get a huge room with a double bed and an additional single bed and which also had a relatively big bathroom. The shower had excellent water pressure. Hotel has a small lift which is not always a given in European hotels and is close to Grand Boulevards Metro Station, buses from the Champs D'Elysees and lots of excellent food and bars around the 9th Arr. Staff were very friendly and helpful and helped make the stay pleasurable. Hotel is very fairly priced considering the area.

For us, as a family we decided for the first time to book apartment hotel, rational , multiple rooms as traveling with kids , bigger Space overall , all in one apartment rather then separating in two rooms hotel , price for location Location of This place is unbeatable , 1 min form famous chance Elise, metro station , walking distance from rest of main attraction in Paris , restaurants from all kind all around. Further more the beds were very comfy , clean , WiFi excellent , staff were great ! ... the only thing I will mention is that there is one bathroom in this apartment , so for a family it might be challenging sometime , beside all was great , if going to Paris defiantly will return

I stayed at this hotel during my first trip to Paris in the 1990s. I continued to stay there every year until 2005, when I stopped traveling to Europe for a few years. In 2018 I returned to Paris and Hotel Emile under its new ownership. They had really done a lot to spruce up the hotel even before COVID 19. My husband and I love this hotel because of its great location. The metro is just across the street. There is a great cafe downstairs on the corner and a grocery store, pastry shop, boulangerie, fromagerie, librarie, etc. all within less than a 10 min walk. It is on the edge of the Marais, the best place in Paris for night time wanderings, in my opinion. And best of all, the hotel is clean and the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. There is a real warmth and family feeling at the hotel. I wouldn't change Hotel Emile for the Hotel Charles V!

It’s really bad! Platinum Member! The hotel turned out to be a bad air conditioner! The weather of thirty-five degrees is not air-conditioned! Suggestions, the lobby manager is very unfriendly and free breakfast and a few bottles of water? ? ? ? But for a few single Indian guests (just I know) to checkin the same day! And the manager protested and told me that our compensation is breakfast! I will never live in this intercontinental again! Service facilities are not as good as China's one star! ! ! !

The pros of this hotel are as follows: The reception staff speak English, and are very friendly and helpful. The woman at reception printed my Disneyland Tickets which was a real life saver. The location is good. Its a 10 minute walk from the Denfert-Rouchereau station, which can get you to Disneyland, and connects straight to CDG Airport. It was sunny when we went, so we walked most places. It's a 10 minute walk to the catacombs, and within an hour walk to the eiffel tower, notre dam, and the louvre. The room has everything you need, having a double bed, a single bed, a TV, a desk, 2 bedside tables, a kettle and a hairdryer. And the housekeeping comes to tidy up daily. On the other hand: The rooms look pretty dated, but they're not too bad. But the walls are pretty thin, so if anyone makes a noise in the hotel, you're going to hear it. Breakfast is €10 per person per day, and although we didn't have it, judging by the reviews it's the usual cereals, croissants, etc. So you're probably best going to one of the many local cafes for breakfast. The reception isn't always manned, which is a problem if you need anything outside the working hours. It's open in the morning, closes for a few hours in the afternoon, and then opens again 4:30-9:30. We got a triple room (1 double and 1 single bed) for €80 a night, which is a decent price for the location. But anywhere else a hotel like this would be worth nowhere near as much, so it's slightly over priced. Usually I'd give this a 4*, but in the morning after spending our first night here, after taking a shower, a sewage type smell started coming out of the bathroom. It was disgusting, and so bad we had to leave our room. Luckily we were on our way out anyway. We told reception about this on our way out in the morning, and it was fixed by the time we came back in the night, but it did ruin the stay a little.

Third stay in this hotel and I am still seduced by their services. I had chosen it at the very beginning for its ideal location close to the metro station - RER Charles de Gaulle Étoile and for its competitive prices. Since my first stay, it has become my reference hotel in Paris that I recommend to everyone around me. The welcome is at the height of a 4-star hotel: discretion, respect, sympathy and always personalized. Thanks to Driss, Zaid, and all the staff we had the chance to meet. They have contributed to making our stays beautiful Parisian experiences thanks to their welcome, their advice and their kindness during each of our stays. The rooms are certainly dated but they are clean and comfortable. The bedding is excellent, the volumes of the rooms are generous, the bathrooms are always clean. During our previous stays, we tested the rooms on the courtyard side (the 207 and 407 are perfectly quiet) then the 403 which overlooks Avenue Victor Hugo and which has a balcony offering a view of the Arc de Triomphe. Each of these rooms was immaculate. The equipment was perfectly adapted to our needs: free wifi, television, coffee and tea available in the room with the kettle and cups, assortment of essential products in the bathroom, mini-fridge. Everything was clean and functional. And above all, special mention for the water pressure of the shower! We loved this extra comfort! Thank you to the whole team and see you soon

A budget 3 star hotel. It is more convenient to take the subway station for about 7 or 8 minutes. The room was small, except for the bed and luggage, there was no place to go. Breakfast is just like nothing, no surprises. The wine station is very close to Chinatown and it is convenient to eat Chinese food. There is a small memorial hall nearby, which is cheap and good, but sometimes there are many people. In short, if the requirements are not high, it is good to live.

The biggest advantage is being able to see the Eiffel Tower at a reasonable price. Also, the staff at the desk and the cleaning lady were very friendly, and the check-out time is 12 noon, so you can prepare generously :) The room is not very clean, but it is clean. It only takes about three to five minutes to walk from Paris Gare de Lyon to the hotel, which is very convenient. Did not have breakfast at the hotel, but there are Starbucks coffee around the hotel, there are many restaurants, and there are also many restaurants in the train station that can solve breakfast. The rooms are small and exquisite, and very quiet. Considering such a convenient location, it can be said to be very cost-effective. Lovely hotel, super staff, comfortable rooms bit small but only what is to be expected. Breakfast plentiful and tasty. Our only gripe was the Creole restaurant outside decided to play very loud music from 12 am. It was that bad we went down to complain to reception who did manage to get this turned down but the people in the restaurant continued to be loud. We did find out that the restaurant did not close until 2 am so as we were there to sleep we did not get the best sleep we would have hoped for hence 1 mark being removed.

There is also a good bathroom and shower. Breakfast is a continental buffet and there was a good selection of breads, cheeses, cold mets etc. The Metro station is a shirt walk away and there is a laundrette directly opposite. The hotel is in a quiet neighborhood and very unassuming. It is a 10 minute walk to the subway, though there is are a number of buses on the corner. We had a Queen size bed in a Standard room, as requested. The bed was The Best, as were the linens. Amenities in the room and throughout the hotel were great. The breakfast is fabulous! Waffles, eggs, sausage, ham, soppressata, fresh squeezed orange juice, delicious coffee and cappuccino, dried fruits and nuts, granola, assorted jellies and preserves, yogurt, fresh baked chocolate and plain croissants, danish, and mini apple turnovers-yum! The Ibis conditions are quite good, but the surrounding environment is too bad. When we heated the food at the front desk, because of the large amount of luggage, we managed poorly. We didn’t know when someone had taken a bag and was stolen some cash. One person ran back sweating and said that he saw someone taking our bag and he was chasing it back. Then we checked that the cash was gone. But the two of us were too stupid, and thanked each other. Later, the people around me should be the thief... Then we contacted the hotel right away, the hotel expressed anger, but we finally had no right to monitor even the monitoring, who did not know who to take How to get it, can't recover it. Although there are a lot of French policemen around the market looking at the market, everyone said it was useless. . We have had a great time. I'm sorry that time they didn't offer us an upgrade but we felt very comfortable.
