This hotel was just what we needed. Equally distant from city centre and Messe, with private underground parking and with very good value for money. Room was spacious, bathroom big and clean and beds very comfy, appart from the pillow, which could be better. Breakfast was very good and rich in variety, but few more sweets would be welcomed. Reception staff were very professional and polite. Nice grocery shop couple of meters from the entrance. It takes about 20 minutes on foot to reach the city centre. All in all, a great stay. Recommended.

The Best Western Amedia Graz is located right 1 min from Messe Graz so perfect for attending any event there. You can also walk to the town center within about 7 mins or take the tram which passes directly in front of the hotel. The room was very nice with a big bath and comfty bed, though I had the room to street side it was very quiet. The breakfast need to be paid and was just average, eggs unfortunately too hard, the selection ok. In my opinion the breakfast was too expensive for what it definitely offered. There is a small parking garage included which you can book (if there is a free place) with additional costs. This might be interesting as parking is liable to pay costs and you have to do it with tickets from a machine (bit complicated if you want to be out and about. The check in was easy and friendly, staying at this hotel was fine. The city center is near, as said, right around the hotels you also find several small supermarkets and restaurants. It is worth checking the city center as it is very lovely.

A recent hotel (3 years), in an older building, well reconfigured. High ceiling! Not claustrophobic. Spacious bathroom. A good surprise near the center of Graz, since it still benefits from free transportation (one station from the center in every direction, as we've been told at the hotel).

We stayed there for a few days from the 22nd to 26th of June. The hotel was great, perfect location and fantastic family staff. We required special assistance as my partner is in a wheelchair. Michael, was extremely helpful from the moment we called to inquire about the rooms, and organised assisted travel arrangements for us. Can’t say enough about how friendly and helpful the staff were! We will definitely come back here!!!!

We stayed at Hotel Marienhof in Graz for 4 nights (Thursday to Sunday) using it as our base for attending the Austrian Grand Prix at Spielberg. Party consisted of one couple and two singles, and we had the Hotel Apartment which has a double room, two single rooms plus toilet, shower room and kitchenette. The rooms were clean and nicely furnished, staff are friendly and the breakfast was excellent. It’s well located for both Graz city centre and for touring Styria region. Recommended.

I arrived earlier than check in and my room was ready. I'd reserved a superior room, with view. To be honest, I wasn't impressed with the 'view'. There were a couple of bee hives as my immediate view and further away was a shed with bins. I guess every room has a window and therefore a view! I requested another room, as I was disappointed with the superior room and its view. The next room was on the fourth floor, so the view was better, but I still got to see the laundry delivery etc. The rooms are clean, but considering that it's a new hotel, the flooring is already chipped and scratched. There is no character to the rooms. Modern and bare. One of the things that didn't sit right with me and something that I haven't faced in a four star hotel before, was that I was expected to give my credit card over on arrival and not only did they book the cost of the room, they booked a further €25 per day! I was told that it was like a deposit or for car parking! Really? I arrived by train! The hotel is situated in a good location. Its not to far from the most important sites. Breakfast was excellent! Exactly what I would expect from a four star hotel. Plenty of choice for everyone. Due to Covid restrictions, the mini bar was empty and the hospitality tray had been removed. It is possible to receive those on request. One evening, I returned to my room, to find that the cleaning crew had cleaned my room and left both windows wide open! It was freezing cold! I did report that to reception, but they were also at a loss as to why that had been done. The staff at reception were very helpful.

We recently visited Graz as our Daughter did a semester exchange in her final year of Law School. We stayed the the Hotel Mariahilf in room 351 which was a Suite (large). The Hotel was great with respect to location...only 3 stops to the Main Train Station. The Hotel has an old school feel and our room felt like we were in the attic of an old farmhouse...but in a good way. Some reviews mentioned that the floors were creaky and noisy..it didn't bother us and to me, it just added to the experience. There was no street noise in our suite and was very quite The included breakfast had some great options and the service was friendly and efficient. I'm a Lifetime Titanium with Marriott and have stayed in many hotel rooms (some luxury) and this was a clean hotel and a great experience for my wife and I

If you go to Graz, this is the place. This unusual & cozy hotel offers many enjoyable surprises. The hotel is in the old town, located just below the Graz castle and the famous clock tower. The hotel is near the river that flows through the old town. The hotel lobby consists of several charming spaces and it is full of contemporary art - around 400 works! It was lovely to work around the hotel and discover yet another work around the corner. The garden is winding up to the hill and there are lots of beautiful hiding places you can sit and read your book. Even a small swimming pool is located on the hillside. The old town & the pedestrian zone starts from the hotel steps. We came by our own car to the hotel and it was taken to the parking hall opposite and it was again waiting for us once leaving. The staff was excellent. The breakfast room was spacious (great furnitures e.g. from Kartell and arts) and the breakfast was full of choices. We had an exceptionally big and beautiful room with wooden floors, a great bed and a white marble bathroom - and art! We enjoyed walking up to the castle (a breath taking view over the red rooftops of Graz) and over the river to a lively area where the modern art museum is located (a museum shop worth of visiting). This lively town has lots of restaurants, small shops, cafes, market places & art galleries everywhere.

I was more than happy with the quality of my stay in this charming hotel in the heart of beautiful Graz, but I certainly had some issues with some rather unprofessional reception staf. First of all, the lady helping us with the check-in never asked for any ID to confirm that I was the one who booked and paid for the weekend-long stay at Das Weitzer. Such a flaw in the security system was a bit odd to me. However, the reason I did not the reception was the rude behaviour by their receptionist Katharina who seemed to be very unprofessional and rude to both my wife and me. I do not want to question this person's qualifications or intentions, but the fact was that she behaved as if we were some beggars from the street. If such people/behaviour remains at this otherwise lovely hotel, we probably won't be coming back there next time we visit Graz. As for the room 246 and the breakfast buffet - I can only highly recommend these!

I used to be an accord gold member and don’t know at what point I moved down. In any case I’ve always usually stayed at Novotel. We decided to stay at Mercure as opposed to NH in the city centre as this hotel was closer to the chess tournament venue. However I was most disappointed with the housekeeping at this hotel. The room was never clean! They never did anything the same way . In our 7 nights stay, water was never replenished the same way. The composition of the water bottles was based on some whim and fancy. Food crumbs on the floor remained on it. Even food crumbs on the bedside table remained as is. Tea bags were not refilled. I was honestly really appalled with the whole service issue. I specifically went down to the front desk and informed them that we want to have water without gas in our rooms. But nothing was done about it. One afternoon, I requested the front desk to get our rooms cleaned in the afternoon. When we returned it wasn’t done so. Housekeeping just randomly opens the room door; doesn’t speak a word of English and have a condescending attitude on top of it. Breakfast was the usual. Eggs, bread and cereal for vegetarians. No bake beans. Nothing different in the 7 day stay again. But staff at restaurant down are courteous. Bus stop very close to this hotel. 2 supermarkets right next to it as well, so good on location. Very close to the city Center and the island of mur. But not a place I’d recommend if on a holiday. More for business kind of stay.

Stayed for 2 nights and from other reviews our room 10b must be the the worst in the hotel. Painted Pea Green, both the walls, wardrobe and bedside cabinets as well. Main light in an L shaped room was around the corner from the wardrobes, so you could not see inside them. The aircon did not work and the receptionist just said open the window as though it was our fault it was broken, Her attitude was most unpleasant. It did have a good shower though as a positive. They finally agreed that the aircon was broken and had been repaired the following day. Breakfast was not the best and a bit chaotic with not enough staff. It is in a good location for visiting the city, but would not recommend it unless you get a suite. The receptionist when we checked out was most pleasant and apologetic for our experience, its just a pity the others had not been as concerned.

To all travelers going to Graz.... This was the most charming, cosy and comfortable hotel I have EVER stayed in... And I fo travel a lot.... The mix of old architecture and modern elements create an excellent visual effect. The options of renting a bike or a scooter was a wonderful surprise. The safety and hygiene measures were all in place.... The staff, ALL OF THEM, were friendly and ready to help... The breakfast buffet was simply glorious with all the amazing little options for a first meal... Did I mention that it is central? With lots of connections anywhere you may want to go? Well, it is.... Thank you all at the Alois Daniel... You made me a happy visitor... I’ll be very happy to go back one day Sincerely Luís

The Grand Hotel Wiesler is a refreshing shabby chic styled hotel right in the centre of Graz. My trip was due to work and was great to see the hotel had put in precautions for the COVID Pandemic. There were masks available at reception, hand sanitizers dotted around and informative posters up. I stayed on floor 4 and was pleasantly surprised by the space of the room and its amenities. The bed was extremely comfortable which felt like a memory foam mattress topper and for the 21 nights I stayed I slept perfectly every single night. My only slight quibble was the bed was made of two beds together so I often found myself fallen down the middle of the beds in the morning which was fun ha-ha! The standard of the decor in the rooms was fabulous and I found the binoculars provided was great for people watching out of my large bay windows. The little touches made the room from the candle’s to the homemade fudge there were lots of goodies everywhere. There was no kettle in the room but when I asked at reception one was brought up quickly and I was allowed to keep it for the entirety of my stay which was nice. I would say that iron would have been nice in the room too but I'm sure one would have been provided for me at reception. The Wi-Fi was free which was good but the speed was quite poor. It struggled to stream even the lowest quality of videos, but that's possible because there was a large number of us staying for work so the hotel was full. On the whole, though I enjoyed my stay here and Francis the waiter was great and always made us feel welcome at dinner service. The head waiter (Gary? In English) was very friendly but always seemed extremely stressed and flustered and even asking for a drink seemed like it was a massive effort for him. Food standard was pretty good and there was a good range of selections from a variety of continents in the world. I think the chef changed a few times as one of the mornings one of the ‘omelettes’ was two fried eggs with a slice of cheese on (see attached photo) – but other mornings they were perfect! The cleanliness of the hotel was great too, every day my room was cleaned, and bed made. Fresh towels too. The laundry service is great too, I would drop my clothes off to the reception in the morning and when I got back to the hotel in the evening it would be waiting for me freshly laundered on my bed, a great service. I can't wait to make this my preferred hotel of choice in Graz and stay here again soon. This hotel is a MUST if you are planning to come to Graz
