0.65km from Wilhelm-Raabe-SchuleWe stayed 2 nights in Hameln at the Hotel Zur Börse (Boerse if you can't make the ö symbol). It was a nice hotel with a really good breakfast buffet that is included in the price of the room. From the hotel, it is barely a 10 minute walk to the central part of Hameln (Altstadt) and lots of pedestrian walking areas. The rooms were relatively large, clean, albeit a bit outdated with regards to decor and furniture. Not worn out or broken, just well cared for but more 1990's style. It has an elevator so if you have heavy bags as we did, it is a blessing. I had to carry my bags up multiple flights of stairs in other places we stayed so this was a nice touch. Parking will cost extra since there is little to no on-street parking anywhere nearby. I believe we paid around 7 Euros per night to park directly across the street in an underground garage. The hotel staff were efficient but not too talkative...I speak fluent German so that helped a lot. Again, the breakfast buffet was first class - very typically German with eggs, sausages, breads, various cheeses, sliced meats, 3 kinds of Müsli, juices, espresso, coffee, etc. You won't leave hungry! Overall not a bad place and the price is within reason for the hotel's central location. Hameln is a cute little town...not overly crowded with tourists and a good place to learn about their story of the Rattenfänger (Pied Piper) of Hameln!
