First time I have ever entered a hotel room and had serene music playing. It set a relaxing atmosphere to rest in a very comfortable bed in a very nice hotel. The TV was also a smart TV, so we could log into our Youtube and Netflix accounts - when I went to sign out before checking out, it said they auto sign you out upon checkout. Very smart. Also very friendly and helpful desk staff.

After having to leave another hotel, at 12:30 a.m., we made last minute reservations for this hotel and showed up 15 minutes later. Amanda was the front desk clerk and said she didn't receive our reservation because she was doing an audit and asked if we could wait another 10 minutes. My husband and I said no problem, but after she looked at me and saw how bad I looked (medically) and after we explained what happened, at the other hotel, she immediately gave us another room and said she would run our credit card after the audit. Amanda was amazing. The whole staff was amazing including another front desk agent who noticed that I didn't have my Marriott membership, for this trip, and added my account. I can't remember her name, but I think it was something like Cindra. The hotel has a great breakfast and the rooms are comfortable and clean. No problems. Basically what you would expect from a Marriott. I highly recommend this hotel.

We had a group of about eighteen friends who toured Wilmington's civil war sites. The trip was delayed twice over eighteen months because of Covid, which required shifting reservations and so forth. Throughout, Savannah Edwards, the director of sales, was patient, helpful and went the extra mile to help me juggle all the changes. My wife and I stayed there twice in the runup to the tour, and while they were obviously coping with covid-related staff shortages, the whole staff went the extra mile for us -- my wife is handicapped and Edna went upstairs to physically check out our room and make adjustments before we came (she also bakes excellent banana bread). On our two pre-visits and the final group visit, Shirley and Chris ran the bar and served breakfast; Chris cooked an excellent catered meal for the group in a private room Saturday night (and Savannah came in on her night off to make sure everything was okay). For a reduced staff dealing with a crowd, everyone from the front desk to the bar to the restaurant was just superb. My gang has been traveling and meeting for nineteen years now, and the Hilton Garden Inn experience was the best we've encountered, especially considering the short-staffing the management was dealing with. I'd come back for another stay anytime, and I highly recommend the place to anyone. Savannah, Edna, Shirley and Chris are top-notch professionals and made us feel very much at home.

This was our first visit to Wrightsville Beach and we reviewed recommendations on trip advisor and others. We finally chose Hampton Inn and Suites, and were pleasantly greeted and assigned to our room. Upon arrival, we found the room pleasant, clean, simple, but just fine for our short stay, except for the very noisy, squealing and rattling a/c which was otherwise working. My husband banged on it and took the casing off, which seemed to make it quieter, and we left the room hoping it would be fine by the time we returned. To our dismay, it was as noisy and rattling as we left it, though the squealing was gone. We called to report the problem, and the desk receptionist was accommodating and offered to change our room and send someone up, but by then it was past 9pm and we had unpacked, undressed, and were settled in, so I said we would try to work with it and asked if she would send someone the next morning, notify her manager, and consider some remedy for our discomfort such as a discount for our inconvenience and discomfort The next morning, their maintenance man came and it looked like the problem was fixed, so we left for the day. Upon our return, the a/c was just as we had left it, but we had only one more night so we lived with it. The next am when we were checking out (April 27 2022), I told the receptionist that the a/c had not been fixed, and wanted to let her know for the sake of the next guest, but that we would like to speak to the manager about our inconveniences about some remedy for our putting up with the unexpected. We were met with a very unapologetic, defensive, and argumentative manager (Sheeri Hightower) with no semblance of a desire to make things right. I decided to let things go, but when we got back home and discovered a charge in addition to the bill that we had paid upon our departure, I called to inquire about it, (April 28,2022) only to be met with another defensive response from a different manager on duty (Sarah Shossmer). If no one other than the higher management listens to this, I would urge him/her as well as other potential guests to consider how important it is to the overall success and good feeling of a trip to be confronted with managers who have no interest in hearing about or responding to or making things right for guests.

This Sleep Inn is located on Busy Market street and finding the entrance can be a little difficult due to the center divider on Market Street. I made my reservations online through the Choice Website and check-in was quick. This appears to be an older hotel, and the room was small with the older round walk-in shower. The room was very clean and well attended. The bed was comfortable, however I do not care for the small pillows, but that is corporate policy and out of the control of individual properties. This hotel appears to be in compliance with all COVID mandates and Face Coverings are required in all public area of the building. The do serve breakfast at this hotel although I chose to pass on it and join friends at a nearby Cracker Barrel. The WiFi was strong and worked well throughout my stay. The only issue was the room I was assigned (118) was located very close to the lobby and elevator. The noise from other guests using the elevator and those who chose to congregate in the lobby and breakfast area is an issue. Especially those guest who insist on having loud conversations. I would suggest that you avoid room 115, 116, 117, 118. Other than the noise from guests this hotel met my basic requirements, clean rooms, good WiFi, and a friendly professional staff.

This hotel is clean as a whistle, well organized, QUIET, very nice and accommodating staff, and outstanding valet parking with Dylan Fowler as the head valet. I've stayed here several times for trips to the Wilson Center (outstanding concert venue at the local community college - 3 blocks away). Wells Fargo ATM is across the street as is self-parking (valet is far easier). Dozens of great restaurants are a short walk away. This is my "go to" hotel in Wilmington.

I don't get the reviews stating how clean and wonderful this property is (look at my pictures). We arrived at this property after traveling from the west coast at around midnight. The lobby area was nice and the staff were friendly enough and check in was smooth. As we approached our room, the door was not shut entirely, so we entered with caution. The room was pretty filthy all the way around. Toilet had something that looked like feces around the base (see picture), mirrors were dirty, cups had swirl marks in them, the desk chair has something splattered on it, urine stains on the bathroom floor, bed sheet had hair strands...not what you want to see in your hotel room after traveling over 10 hours. We contacted the front desk who said they would send sheets, but we had to change the bed; really? They also sent up security, who took pictures and advised he would share them with the front desk and someone would be in touch. Nobody contacted us so we went downstairs to see if our room could be switched. You guessed it... they were sold out and no housekeeping to come clean our room. Both front desk staff just sat there and told us they would share our experience with the hotel manager who would come in the next day. No solutions were offered (it was about 1 a.m. at this point), nobody called other hotels to look for alternatives... nothing. Tough luck, we're on our own after traveling all day at 1 a.m. in the morning. We settled into a room across town at 2:30 a.m. by the way after calling and searching the internet on our own. No manager called.. ever. We had to call for a refund as they charged our card even though we did not stay in the hotel. Pretty awful experience and sad that people in the service industry think it's just fine to leave people stranded in the early morning hours with no place to go. I've been gold for Hilton for probably over 10 years and this was by far, the worst experience I have ever had. Shame on the people at this property.

I’be stayed in your hotel a few times in the past on business, and always prefer your hotel when in the area. You gave me our corporate rate, but also gave it two two suppliers I was working with, which was very nice so we could stay in the same hotel and carpool easily. After your renovation work (I stayed close to 10 days while that was going on several years ago), everything is top notch. The staff is excellent and kind, from the cleaning service and front desk, very good experience. They always knew my name and room number, which is amazing. Great job by your staff. They all deserve pats on the back. I’ll see you again soon here, as it looks like we have a project going forward at a plant close by.

We stayed here for a week while visiting family in Wilmington for Thanksgiving. Check in was easy and pleasant. When we discovered a minor problem with our room we were immediately moved to a new room just down the hall. Our room was very spacious and we enjoyed the morning sun. The bathroom was well appointed. We could get our room made up every day if we wanted or could just hang the don’t disturb sign on the door and they would not come in. We were warmly greeted by front desk staff every time we came or went. Breakfast was excellent. They have an egg choice, a meat choice and 2 flavors of waffles every day, plus oatmeal, cereal, yogurt, fruit, etc always available. Coffee is available 24 hours a day. Dark and light roast, decaf and hot water for tea. We had a great stay and would not hesitate to stay here again.

I was in Wilmington, NC for a conference and was unable to get a room at the host hotel. At first I was disappointed but the organizers got a block of rooms at the Best Western. Staying here instead was the wonderful. Front desk customer service was great, I LOVED the view of Cape Fear River when I went into my room, the room was clean and best of all, breakfast was included. I went to the conference and people that stayed at the host hotel had complaints of their rooms being dirty upon arrival and they did not get complimentary breakfast. I also enjoyed the brief walk along the river walk to the host hotel. Did I mention my room was $30 less? I highly recommend, this is a great place to stay for a conference.

This place is great! The outdoor pool area has plenty of seating and fire tables, and is beautiful. You are within walking distance of a grocery store and retail shopping as well as several restaurants. Only three miles from Wrightsville beach, so why pay those high rates to be closer? This place is great. Be sure to check out Burneys Sweets and More right nearby. Their cinnnamon twist and pastries are AMAZING!!! The beds are great and we heard nothing during the night while sleeping, unlike other hotels. Don't hesitate, book now!!!

Sink was full of fruit flies, no matter how many I killed they kept appearing (talking between 10-15 every night). Entire floor was sticky, filthy, and smelled like stinky old mop water. Door looked like it had been kicked in at some point, and the latch was also broken off. Towels had hair on them. Shower had "shaved" hair all up the wall. Toilet seat connected on only one side causing it to slide all over. The AC unit and paintjob looked like they havent been serviced in over 10 yrs. AC smelled of Mold. Room clock wasnt working. Comforter had holes burned in it and I noticed what looked like a couple small blood stains on the sheets. The rest of the property looked very beat up, the ground was filthy everywhere, there was food and dumped drinks on the ground (and stayed there all weekend). Literally everything that coulda been wrong with this room was, and I'm NOT someone who complains about things easily, I hate complaining. I was very busy my whole trip and exhausted and only wanted to sleep so I decided to deal with it and not to complain until checkout. Boy was that a mistake. Right when I said I had some issues the front desk manager responded with "There's nothing we will do for you". The staff was very nice and professional but I can tell they must get a LOT of complaints because they had an excuse for everything I listed, even defending the sticky smelly floor and the bugs, even after I showed them videos! Basically telling me I didnt complain enough, shoulda did it at checkin, or went to another hotel. They did offer me a 15% off coupon for a future stay at any red roof but there's literally no way I am ever staying at any redroof inn again, especially not this one. I'd rather sleep in my car. So there ya go. If you want a filthy hotel that appears to have zero upkeep, does the bare minimum, and puts no money into its maintenance, and a staff so used to complaints that nothing you say no will get an ounce of empathy or understanding, (unless you complain immediately upon checkin otherwise its your fault for not speaking up) this is the place for you, the Holiday Inn across the street was 100 dollars more a night but my goodness that woulda been BEYOND worth it.
