This is a hotel that seems to have something of an identity crisis - especially around the food and bar area - absolutely nothing is consistent. Stayed for three nights - the floorboards creak (advise asking for a room on the second floor if poss), our room kept getting unbearably hot, and every afternoon our keycards would reset. The carpets (see photos) are something else!!! However, if you look past all that then the staff are absolutely fantastic! (especially the Reception lady working the afternoon shift, and the breakfast manager). Absolutely cannot fault the service at this hotel. There was a wedding on one of the days/nights we were there but the two groups (wedding guests vs hotel guests) were well kept apart, which meant there was little to no disruption at all. All in all, a great stay and will definitely be back.

Premier Inn City Centre is just next to the train station and it’s very convenient. Decent room size and the couch is good where you could seat on and enjoy the view of the Leicester City Centre. The room is clean and bed is comfortable. Hot and continental breakfast options just pay when you walkin. I will definitely return to Premier Inn for my next trip to Leicester. Highly recommend this hotel to friends.

Checked in for 4 days on business. Room was mediocre at best. The en-suite looks like a prefab add on. A fibre glass cocoon that even the most discerning caravaner would balk at! The bed, well a divan base with a sofa bed “mattress” and a mattress topper hardly constitutes a bed. Hardly any sleep first night and woke up with a back like I’d been laid in traction for 6 hours. Dismal facilities in room. Only the very basics Dinner faired no better. Quite awful food. Pre cooked, pre processed, microwave cheap produce. And breakfast. Poor service, horrendous waits for food, tea, coffee and toast. Only thing to look forward to about this hotel is the checking out process, which we did after two nights Not what you expect for £92 per day!!

Booked this comfortable hotel when I visited the University with my daughter. Hotel is central and easy to find and I would say good value for money. Located on the 1st floor, our room was spacious, clean and had good heating facilities. The bathroom was again clean with a great pressure shower. The towels were fluffy and big. The bed was comfortable but my pillow was too soft and low. I was immediately given an extra firmer pillow upon request, so the hotel can accommodate to your preference. Breakfast was nice and consisted of the normal drink selections, cereals, pastries and hot food. Good value for the extra you pay. I was informed Late check out regardless of how short, is payable, but I did hear another couple say they were given free late checkout and it was granted so not sure if you can negotiate if needed. I checked out on time but the hotel stored my overnight bag for me until I was ready to collect in the evening.

We stayed here for one night over the Easter Holidays. We had trouble finding the car parking, assuming it would be under or on top of the hotel. Clearly I wasn’t the first person to go into reception asking the question. In fairness to the hotel it is sign posted quite clearly, but only when you know where to look. The parking area is 1-2 minutes from the hotel, all open-air, large and flat. Great as long as it isn’t raining (which thankfully for us it wasn’t). Check-in was nice and simple, with loyalty noted. Our room was a very good size and at the back of the hotel, so lovely and quiet. The hotel was only completed around two years ago so everything still seems new. The television was very large and the sofa bed already made up for our daughter. The bathroom was decent and well laid out, although I was surprised to see that the designers had gone for a bath with shower overhead, not something you see that often in new mid-range hotels these days. The bar area was tastefully decorated and we enjoyed a drink there, before crossing over the road and heading in to town - Highcross Shopping Centre is next door, so you have very easy access to the cinema and plenty of places to eat. All the staff we met were very friendly and helpful. We would be more than happy to stay here again.

Overall a good stop for one night as a couple. Positives Location, on a main road into Leicester with good bus service. Room clean. Large Room. Room ready early so we checked in, but if it was not ready I think I could have checked in and returned later, the reason we were early is we had to pass the location and did not expect to return till late evening. Cons Location, we did not suffer but can be noisy due to being on a road junction. Bathroom mirror set to suit someone of 5-8 plus, and no mirror in room the average height of a woman is 5-4 and lots under 5 foot, so they have no useable mirror. TV, is fixed on wall forward facing a blank wall, instead of on angled bracket, as centre of bed was about 10 to 12 feet across the room. Access to rooms, passage very narrow I could not carry two bags and walk. Parking - the 2 slots on the left of the entrance are the hotels the rest are the Coop underneath the hotel. No information about breakfast in folder.

I am platinum elite and stayed for 2 nights bed and breakfast with my husband. When we arrived we were checked in by the lovely cheerful Magda. She explained her manager had upgraded us to a very nice room. She explained where our room was, how breakfast worked, where everything was served and all about the hotel facilities. It was clear that she loved what she does and has a wonderful personal touch with the guests. We had a lovely executive room on the upper floor. Brilliant shower which was easy to operate. There’s only 2 floors but no lift. Magda even offered to help us if we had any luggage. Some of the rooms overlook the park, others the car park. The room was spacious and very clean. In fact, just like the pictures! We took a stroll on the afternoon to Wigston - takes 15 mins walk where there are shops, a few pubs and a McDonald’s. There’s also a sainsburys local, a shell garage and a spar in between the hotel and Wigston. We ate at Bella Italia at the hotel where the food was excellent. They had a 2 course special menu for a very reasonable £14.45 per person. You can see the menu on the hotels website. Breakfast was also very enjoyable with plenty of food and great service from Laura and colleagues. There is a fabulous park next door. - Knighton Plenty of free car parking - follow the flow around the back and sides of the hotel - you can access reception from both sides. We actually had to go to the spire hospital which was an easy 3 miles / 8 mins away. Every member of staff we met greeted us, asked us how we were or if we needed anything. From the reception team, to housekeeping to the food and beverage staff - all seemed happy and cheerful and doing a great job. I haven’t got OTT but I do get a white cloth and clean around our room before using (as my husband is ill) and our room and bathroom including window ledges I can honestly say were spotless. We had a very enjoyable stay and feel that our custom was valued in an obviously very busy hotel.

I’ve been staying here for years and the hotel itself is great, as are the staff. The rooms are clean, comfortable, modern and spacious. The atrium area is open-plan and is a very nice space to work and relax, having a very high ceiling in the middle of the building. The one disappointment is the swimming pool. It closed when Covid hit, which is understandable, but apparently there are no plans to re-open it, which is a massive shame. I used to enjoy using the pool once a week and I will miss this. Maybe the Hilton still has a swimming pool? Although the breakfast is good, what really lets the hotel down is the restaurant. The menu is very limited and at the same time very expensive. When the food comes, the quality is average at best. If they re-opened the pool and sorted out the restaurant, the hotel would be 5 star.

My husband booked this hotel for the night, I was a little uneasy as I read the reviews (after he booked). We got here and was greeted at reception given our key and checked in and given check out details, WiFi password and some other information. Hotel looked lovely I have seen better but for £65 for two people is pretty good. Got to our room, nice bed spotless sheets and duvet. Lovely clean bathroom. I was surprised to see decaf coffee( only drink decaf) never seen it before in the tea/coffee trays. Bed was comfy slept well. Had all the things you would require in a hotel room, tv shower/ bath, tea/coffee, wardrobe, hair dryer, trouser press, iron/ironing board. Extra blankets. And towels (very clean and fresh smelling). The only negative which in my opinion isn’t a major issue is the smell of stale cigarette which only really came when the extractor fan was on. All in all a good nights sleep in a nice room.

I was a bit dubious about this hotel, being a budget 2* but we needed somewhere close to Loughbough at short notice. First of all, good check in, the nice lad on the reception was very helpful. The room...quite small with just a plastic chair and a shelf/desk space but didnt need anymore room just for one night. The bathroom was immaculate, modern with a wonderful shower..clean white towels and loo rolls provided...the bed was comfortable made up with quilt and pillows (maybe another 2 pillows needed but for just one night, they were adequate. Free parking also which is a bonus. Unlimited tea and coffee downstairs to take up to the room anytime. Didn't have breakfast but looked nice. All in all a nice stay...maybe £49 for one night is a bit expensive for a 2* but would stay again on an overnight stay only

Very Handy Place to Stay if you are going to The King Power Stadium. Unfortunately because of All The Restrictions Thanks to COVID 19. Like Everyone Else, We haven’t been Staying here for the past 3 years. Since The Premier League Started Having Fans again and The COVID Restrictions we’re lifted, My Wife and I have Stayed here 3 or 4 Times since then. We were hoping to stay This Thursday Night because I’m Ambulant Disabled and For Us To Stay overnight is a Great Help for me But The Price of £364 Put us Right off. When Leicester City’s Home and Away Matches against Roma were announced We were Abroad at Easter. So kaz couldn’t Book a Room. We could go on The Website and find out that The Price Then was £160 But We Sadly We Couldn’t Book a Room because we were abroad. when we got back Home and kaz was able to book a room. The Price Had Rocketed to £364 So we thought No Way. We are Members and Kaz got us some Great Deals when we stayed overnight when Leicester City were playing at Home I think it was £49 Pre COVID we were paying about £90 There’s a Big Difference Between Those 2 Figures and £364 In The 3 or 4 Times we have Stayed overnight. It was like The Last 2-3 Years that we were unable to Stay hadn’t happened. The Staff were Still all Polite and Friendly. Our Room was Clean and Tidy. Everyone followed The Law that was implemented at That Time. The Free Breakfast was Still Good.

I stayed here for 1 night with my children and was greeted by Sherrie at reception who was extremely welcoming, friendly and helpful. Sherrie helped me with opening doors and fetched a spare blanket for me when asked if I could have one for the travel cot. Very efficient lady and all round good at her job, but her warm and friendly personality is what gives her that extra special touch. She's a real asset to you company. The premises on the whole is extremely clean and tidy and seems to be well organised, as was our room. On arrival the travel cot, which I had previously requested on the booking, was all set up and the room was nice and warm with the heater on low. The beds are really comfy and overall this hotel offers excellent value for money. We had a lovely stay and slept very well. Fantastic find. We shall book again.
