A great place to stay when on a budget. Being halfway between Melbourne and Canberra, it is a great place to rest and recharge before continuing your trip. Easy to check in after hours with a computer at the front desk allowing for check-in when the front desk is closed up for the night. Bright and colourful doors stand out, and big, comfortable rooms. Highly recommended if you need a rest on the way up the Hume Highway.

We booked in here at the last minute while fleeing from fires on the South Coast and had our dogs with us. We had a lovely warm welcome from Kamal. The room was spotlessly clean and there was no “doggie” smell. The bed was very comfortable. Lovely garden area out the back and dog park nearby. We would definitely stay here again even if we didn’t have dogs with us. Don’t worry about the hotel only having three stars. I’ve stayed in higher starred hotels that haven’t been as good.

A room left locked at 45degrees as we entered, with a minuscule aircon capable of cooling a pair of hands at best. Wowee it really is back to 1960. The total blanket of smudge and grime over aircon filters shows it has not been serviced for at least a decade . Don’t get me wrong I love the vibe of the dangerously illegal but cool balustrade upstairs. Did no one notice? Similarly I find endless curious musings about how each bug in the pool may have chosen that water to land and how they still lay, but it has been a hot day. I especially love the price. Almost the same as a camp site if you book with boo king dot com. A great dive into how things were. Imagine arriving in an HQ with no aircon and finding this? I am still trying to understand exactly why they put a single stiff steel pole just inside the door as a feature Structural specs of the time or rounded creativity?? Anyway I suggest you bunk in before this kind of accom goes the way of the dinosaur, but maybe not after a 45 degree day. My son said as he went to bed, I kid you not ‘ why did they leave the electric blanket on ‘. It is all baked, hence this 1am review under the ceiling fan with fingers crossed for some more breeze. By the way this is my first motel review. I love the cheapest in town and salute regardless. It helps everyone to find pocket money for a real luxury dash just now and then . Friendly manager with big beads of sweat . I salute you

Stayed here overnight 11 June arriving without a booking. Check in was simply and efficient, no restaurant due to Covid-19 restrictions however, recommended takeaway and restaurants in the area. Did offer a continental breakfast (bread for toast & cereal) that I did not take up. Room was large, clean and was furnished with a 2 person comfortable couch and a small table and chairs. Ensuite was lare with good shower pressure and the bed & pillows of good quality. Air-conditioning was relatively quiet and heated the room OK. Had a back room that was quiet. Currently no Foxtel channels due to limited bookings during Covid-19 - would consider staying here again if in the area.
