We stayed one night at this hotel during our Inn river biking tour. The concept of an Italian monastery style hotel is certainly unusual and quite a change to standard hotels we stayed during the rest of the tour. The attention to details is amazing, but sometimes the functionality was sacrificed for great design. Our double room was quite small, especially the bathroom was impossible to be used by two people at the same time. The hotel is located a bit outside the city center, so be prepared to walk for a good half hour or take a taxi into town. The breakfast was good, but again the room is quite small. We took dinner in the attached restaurant, which was very good and enjoyable,. If you're up to a non-standard hotel experience, this place is definitely a good choice.

We were assigned to a room in the new extension block where renovation works were not completely finished. Our room still smelt of new paint and I’d rather prefer a room in the historical block which also housed the restaurant. Our room was spacious but initially there were only two glasses in the room for three of us and furniture and amenities were inadequate. We were “compensated” by the hearty buffet breakfast and the exemplary service of lovely Petra who looked after us really well.

So, after what seems like far too long I finally had the chance to come back to Rosenheim. Once again I stayed in Tryp by Wyndham located just around the corner (literally) from both the Stadtcenter shopping precinct and the Lokschuppen. Tryp by Wyndham is more geared up for the business traveller. The style of the rooms is more corporate than Landhaus but they are clean. The cleaning team and the Hausmeister do a brilliant job of looking after the rooms. I have always found the hotel reception team extremely helpful. If there is anything you need they are more than happy to help. The only disadvantage is that the breakfast isn't included in the room price. Breakfast is 13€ per person per day but you can choose as and when you want to have breakfast. And actually in comparison to the cafés around here, the 13€ price tag is very reasonable. If you're someone who doesn't like a big breakfast then it would probably best to pop to one of the local bakeries, but if you like a variety to choose from and fancy more than a "Semmel" and one drink then I can recommend the hotel breakfast. The breakfast team are always friendly even at such an early hour. If you are looking for a clean, centrally located hotel (10-15mins walk from the station, 5-10mins walk from Max-Josefs-Platz), then Tryp by Wyndham is worth staying at.

We chose this hotel as it has electric car chargers and we stayed in an ‘apartment’ which had a separate sofa bed for the children. It also had a kitchenette but oddly no utensils, no kettle, pan, cup or spoon! The bathroom was modern but the rest needed refurbishing. The building our apartment was in needed some attention, there was a broken window with smashed glass still in the frame and the lift was broken. The main hotel was fabulous though. It was fine for our one night stopover, there was a nice playground and a pool but we didn’t have time to use it. The buffet breakfast elevated this from 3 to 4 stars, it was fantastic and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We would stay again but only as a stopover, not as a destination.
