The Crescent is located in a unique but convenient location, with both business and residential properties. It has a great feature—a long walk along the river out the back door. It is, however, a short (10 minute) walk along the river to downtown Waltham and great restaurants and a movie theatre. We stayed a week, had our dog, and he loved it too. The rooms are all suites, large and well-appointed with a complete kitchen. The place is clean and serves a great breakfast. To top it off, the front desk staff is very helpful, friendly and professional. No question, this will be our go-to place to stay in Boston.

My wife and I recently stayed at this hotel for about a week during which time we were accused of smoking on the premises when neither my wife or I smoke first it went from the alarm went off to housekeeping and staff walked by and smells a strong odor coming from the room to then it be a supervisor walking by and smelling a strong odor and then when we finally said, please come in because we don’t smoke and they saw that we had the window open. It turned into all we had a security guard that walked by and Shasha buddy, hanging out the window and smoking if which, if that was the case I’m sure they would have led with that rather than give us the eight other excuses first , furthermore, if Security actually saw somebody hanging out the window smoking, I’m sure we would’ve gotten an immediate phone call from the front desk regarding the danger of somebody hanging out the window and the fact that they don’t allow smoking on the premises. It is my opinion as my wife’s as well with the only reason that they continuously said these things was to try and get us to leave early so that they could rent the room out to somebody at full price because we were getting the room at a discounted rate. Disappointing to be treated like you’re less of a customer because you use one of these third-party applications the gentleman at the front desk was very hospitable. However, everybody else is there was extraordinarily disrespectful as a complete and utter opposite.

Stayed here for four nights while visiting our daughter in grad school. Typical Homewood Suites, one bedroom was very spacious for our family. Due to checking in and using the key on the app, we did not have much contact with staff, but when we did, they were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was as expected post-Covid yet some of the hot items were really very good. Location off 95 was very convenient and although our room faced the highway, noise was not a problem. Kitchen was nicely stocked. Some maintenance is needed as curtains and carpet were stained but nothing terrible; the suite was clean otherwise. The hotel was very busy yet we did not really hear any neighbor noise. Will definitely stay here again when in the area!

We occupied two rooms for my second stay at this hotel. I find this hotel to be quieter than others. The hotel staff are all so kind, patient, and accommodating. They really want your stay to be great. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable. There is a good selection of restaurants in the area and it is a very short ride to Newton-Wellesley Hospital, if you are in the area for medical appointments. We will definitely stay there on subsequent visits to the area!

Oct2022: 3⭐: I selected this hotel as a result of needing a place close to the house with easy access to the airport. I selected this hotel through the Bonvoy app based on it fitting the criteria I desired. I wasn't able to get to the hotel until the afternoon hours about 1700. I picked up my spouse from the airport and we decided to get her checked in at the hotel on the way to the hospital down the toll road. I noted that the hotel was difficult to enter and it took a bit of concentration to locate the front entrance of the hotel as it sits over top of the tollway 90. There were two handicapped parking areas available at the check in lot. There is a pay parking garage attached to the hotel and adjacent to the front entrance into the hotel. The parking garage has more handicapped parking areas available and regular parking as well. The areas are not good for large trucks or RVs. The entrance was located and I parked and we went into the hotel. We walked to the front desk and a female worker didn't greet us, didn't say hello, nor did she say welcome to the hotel. The worker said ”give me your id”. My wife was standing there to my side and I looked to see if there was someone else there we had stepped in front of or cut in line. There was no one there but us. My wife said what did she say? Is this the check in desk? I commented that this is the check in window, right? What happened to the smile, good afternoon, welcome to Sheraton, or just hello. DEMANDING my identification upon entering the building was definitely not appropriate. Having a bad day isn't MY fault. I have a choice to choose this location, not the other way around. We finished the check in at the desk, paid for parking, and we went to the room. We dropped off the bags and found that the bathroom door sags and does not properly close as it's hitting the bottom of the frame. One of the window blinds wasn't properly functional. The noise canceling device and the traffic was something to tolerate. Some vehicle drivers passing under the hotel on the tollway, enjoyed throttling the engine. This added noise to an already bad situation. Decent area food spots are walking distance from the hotel.

I was on the 3rd floor and overall, enjoyed the stay. There were a few hiccups that I was able to ”get over” (1st world problems!) - such as an outlet not working, a few things showing their age in the bathroom that housekeeping and maintenance SHOULD have caught - a broken sink drain plug cover, the shower escutcheon coming loose, a shower stall water ***** coming off. I noted that to the front desk and they were able to get them - partially - addressed while I was out for work. The food offered was almost the same every day but c'est la vie and wish the bar was back but maybe that will be there when the pandemic is officially an endemic. Speaking of the pandemic, there were plenty of signs around stating the mask mandate within the town of Waltham but I did not see any enforcement and plenty of people walking around without masks; thus that must have been a checkbox checked to make management happy but no real enforcement. Nice, spacious gym with enough equipment for a good workout with a water cooler. Good amount of parking including some covered.

The location is next to other hotels in the same area. In the middle of the night, I met the front desk of the unskilled operation and waited for a long time. The room is large, the air conditioner is loud, there is a big closet, there is a sofa table for the guest sofa, there are kitchen equipment and a large refrigerator. It should be something to eat by yourself. Similar to a single apartment, it is more suitable to stay for a few days, if you drive the most. Ok, you can go out and buy ingredients. But the sound insulation is not very good, breakfast is almost no, only coffee and a small cake, maybe most people make their own breakfast in the room. I left early, the kitchen equipment was useless, I don't know how.

Staying for 4 days, both advantages and disadvantages, it depends on your requirements. Although it belongs to the Hilton Group, the Hampton Hotel is more affordable and does not pursue luxury. Advantages: 1. The room is quite spacious, the bathroom is also large, clean and tidy. 2. There is a gym and swimming pool on the third floor, which can be used for free. 3. The restaurant on the first floor is open all day. Free tea and coffee are also provided during non-breakfast hours, and there is a self-service kiosk next to it. Suitable for chatting with friends. 4. It is very close to the airport, and it takes less than ten minutes to call Uber. Disadvantages: 1. There are no slippers, kettles, cups, and shoe shine cloths in the room. There is no front desk! Forget about making a cup of tea in the house. 2. There are few varieties of breakfast, and there is no change every day. Those who are not used to Western food can only drink some juice and eat some bread. 3. The surrounding area is a bit remote, and it is still a little far away from the lively area around the convention and exhibition center. Uber is the way to go. The weather in Boston is good, like Dalian, China.

You can take a 2 minute walk from this hotel to SilverLine. There is no tourist spot around the hotel, so go to south station in 15 minutes by silverline! Cospa is better than other hotels, so it will be wasted only 15 minutes, but I don't care. Breakfast is not changed to other hotels in the form of Vikings such as coffee and toast. The hotel lounge and gym are also corona countermeasures and are very beautiful. The gym is in a rental state because almost no people come. There is also a laundry. Only 25 cents for $4 a time. The room has a big TV and it is very easy to connect with a smartphone or PC. I feel like a very nice hotel when I think about the Cospa and location.

This hotel was lovely! We have stayed at many hotels in Boston and it is always overpriced. This hotel was reasonably priced (for Boston) and was in a beautiful location right on Newbury St among all the shops and a block away from Copley square. It was also very close to the T allowing for quick travel to various locations. The king room with bay window was spacious and clean. The view onto Newbury made you feel like you lived in Boston. Also, there were some tasty cookies in the lobby. We would definitely stay here again.

Went with another couple and we had a fantastic time. This hotel was so close to so many amenities and great restaurants (all in walking distances). Love how you can have coffee/tea at the lounge before or after you go back to the room…loved the free water near the elevators. Most of the staff are super friendly. The rooms were pretty basic and met are needs. Now you would ask why I gave it a 3 star rating….well, this whole trip was paid by my daughters for their father’s birthday early September…3 weeks later we got charged again… my husband left 3 phone messages and an email to the manager at this hotel BUT never received a response….he was totally responsible for me giving this hotel a 3 star rating!!!

The place was beautiful, and the hotel staff was very friendly and attentive. The only complaint is that when we booked a ”double room”, we were expecting a room with two queen sized beds. We usually stay in Hyatt or Marriott hotels, and have never seen a double bed in over 20 years! Our party included three grown adults, and it wasn't very relaxing having two people trying to sleep in a bed that small. We asked for a cot or roll-away bed, but due to fire regulations, they wouldn't provide one.

My son and I stayed two nights for college visits in the Boston area. This Residence Inn is very new and was an excellent base for our exploration of Boston. All rooms are king bed and a quality sofa bed. Quiet room although some sirens at night being near Boston Hospital. Nice bathrooms with excellent water pressure. Standard Residence Inn kitchenette. Good complimentary breakfast in lobby. Parking was $40 but safe and secure. The location is not great for walking (although we did walk to Fenway Park in the early evening which took about 30 mins, and then took a cab back). What you sacrifice in location here is made up for by the hotel being new and having reasonable parking prices, etc. Would stay here again.

The location is good - accessible to metro, shops and landmarks. The room is small for the price, and the breakfast is a joke - you get either some small sandwich or a plate of toast. On one day, they espresso machine was broken, so I had to take the generic coffee that's very watery. The reception staff was not friendly, just transactional. Same with the breakfast server on that day. My room has a so-so view of the city, it's facing the main street, and the rooms have poor soundproofing - I could hear the partying and the cars from the street and I am on the 10th floor. Moreso, I could hear a couple fighting the whole afternoon in the next room (that's why they have earplugs offered in the room because they know the problem). It's style-over-substance hotel, i.e. the aesthetics has a cool style but the practicality is very IKEA: foldable room desk and chair, hooks on wall instead of cabinets and hangers. For the price I paid, it's not value for money. It's a glamorized hostel for the price of a decent Marriott hotel room. Overall, I would look elsewhere the next time I'm back in Boston.

Overall decent clean hotel and great location but we had some issues with service which is why we only gave 3 stars. Parking on website is misleading. It states they have valet for $50 and park yourself for $20. What they dont tell you is if you park yourself its only for 4 hours, totally misleading. We parked in municipal lot, no in/out privileges for $34 per night. When we talked to front desk about misleading parking they simply said that's the way it is Got there first night and asked for an extra pillow. Told they would bring it up. After waiting 2 hours called front desk and they answered by saying hello we dont have any extra pillows. I asked if they were going to tell me that and they told me they just realized it. Not good service. Housekeeping every other day only. They knocked on our door at 830 in the morning. We asked that they come bcak later. We came back to room at 6pm to find they never came back. Breakfast was ok, but it was free. Shout out to the staff who handled breakfsst, they worked hard to keep everyone fed and kept the place super clean. 24 hour coffee was good but also empty several times during our stay and simply removed and not replaced. No dish soap provided for kitchenette. We would likely stay here again for the rate knowing that service might not be perfect.

A great stay for three nights. I stayed here several years ago when the hotel was under another name/management, but would say that the new management really improved it. Hotel location is superb - close to shopping, restaurants, attractions, and bars. It's really at the center of the city. Hotel staff was most willing to help and courteous at all time. The library lounge provides a good place to chat and have some snacks. One can also order drinks from the bar to the lounge. Bed was comfortable and room very clean. Showers and bathrooms were great; sometimes a few hairs here and there to be expected in shared bathroom but never ran out of toilet paper or anything like that. The hotel is perfectly situated for exploring Boston on foot. The start of the historical freedom trail is literally minutes away in the beautiful Boston common (considered the oldest public park in the U.S.A) Boston is known as walking city as it is easy to walk around and everything in the guide books can be reached by walking. I was so happy I had booked the W in the theatre district as after walking all over Boston, I considered this to be the best area. The hotel rooms are very clean, contemporary and the beds were extremely comfortable. Bathroom clean and excellent shower. Housekeeping service did such a fantastic job as room and bathroom always immaculate when returning to room at the end of the day. The concierges (Daniella & Marianne) were very helpful too when I had asked for some help planning itineraries and other questions. There is a bar and restaurant on the ground floor. Didn’t try any food whilst at the hotel but the bar was a very comfortable place to sit often with music. They have a DJ come in on Friday over the weekend I believe but also people playing guitar for example. A really great place to stay and would definitely recommend and return to.

This stay was designed to be relaxing and be close to Boston Common and The Public Garden. Not only did it show up as the least expensive but perfect location for what we wanted. Valerie was pleasant at check in. We were happy with our room on the fifth floor that had two beds, two TVs, and our own bathroom. Rooms are basic but our needs were fully met. I chose this hotel for three reasons – modern swanky look, closeness to T line station and moderate price for Boston during the period we stayed in the city i.e., if you could think an average rate of $350 is moderate ☹ The staff were quite pleasant – some more pleasant than others. Although the hotel was very busy, they are kind enough to afford us a couple of hours of late checkout at no cost. The room I stayed in had a simple but cool design cool. I liked everything about the room but not the fact that the rooms had carpets in them. I am sure it saves the hotel a bundle during the winters but its not the best hygienically speaking for clients. However, carpets in the hallway are a very good feature as it makes for a quieter stay ie less noise from the hallways My room was located the 13th floor. I felt lucky for the great city view. Although I did not like my very very small room and wardrobe. My wife and I had to hop over suitcases and around ourselves to get around the room. I liked the room toilet (albeit as small as it was) which was probably the best design feature of the room. The HVAC system is a bit loud when it comes on but I got used to it. The bed was comfortable. My wife and I slept really well. It’s a basic hotel with WIFI in the room but no laundry or room service etc. The hotel doesn’t provide proper breakfast or breakfast spread but has a contracted restaurant on site but its not quite the hotel breakfast you need to start your day. We didn’t get complimentary water in the room although the room has complimentary coffee and tea. What was annoying was that they sold water at an outrageous price of $5 per bottle in the lobby. They also did not replace the coffee that I used on day one. There are some convenience stores on West Broadway close to the hotel that we were able to buy water at a more reasonable price. Lastly, the hotel was busy and we returned in the evening of our last night to find out day unmade but we called and they sent – someone who I think was a handy man – not necessarily a house keeper to make the bed. The key question is – would I stay here again? Yes, especially if the more central Boston hotels have ridiculous prices. Its clean, safe and easy to get to the airport by taxi and other parts of Boston on the T network.

The advantage is that it is close to the hubs, Downtown Station and Chinatown Station, and there are many restaurants nearby that are easy to access. The room and queen bed were spacious. The downside was that the room was too cold, and the bathroom sink faucet seemed not to have been used for a long time when I first used it. At check-in, I was shocked when Reception told me that housekeeping would be done every 2-3 days. When I asked for a wine glass in the evening, it wasn't answered in a timely manner, so I had no choice but to drink from any cup.
