1.68km from Yakiniku KashoWe stayed here for about two weeks in April (2019) and loved the gorgeous sakura in the park across the street. In the short time we stayed there, it became like a second home and we were so comfortable there. It was small (as is most accommodation in Japan), but comfortable for 2 people with luggage. Pros: Extremely close to the train station, only took about three minutes to walk to Akabane Station (bonus, it's JR if you have the JR pass). The bathtub is a deep soaker, which is convenient if you've been walking a lot, or hiking as I did. There is a Family Mart and 7-11 even closer than the station. Shopping galore within 3-5 minutes on foot. Free WiFi here that was reliable. Laundromat on the first floor. There is an elevator here. Small fridge and microwave in the unit, which came in handy. Cons: When the weather got cold, it got quite cold in the apartment, but it was bearable in early Spring. It's close to a hospital (which can also be a pro) but occasionally it got very noisy with sirens nearby. Pros definitely outweigh the cons, I really loved it here and have booked it again since.
