0.84km from Yakitori Daikichi JujoomiyaI loved the decor and layout of this hotel. The zen garden is beautiful and the rooms are SUPER spacious - especially by Japanese standards. The breakfast was a nice touch but served a tad early and not the best (not quite hot enough), I wouldnt worry about getting that in the future (but it was included in the price so no big deal there). It is a fairly new hotel so not all taxi drivers knew about it (just show them the address in Japanese, they find it) and it was a bit too far to walk with luggage from the Kyoto train station (where the bullet train comes in) so worth taking a taxi. It is close to the local train line though and that is easy to get on and off. The room had a small kitchenette and even a washing machine, which is awesome. It was also so adorably decorated, obviously a lot of time and thought was put into the design. The only slightly negative thing that I would say is that the rooms are not sound proof so you can hear some cars and the cross walk from the room - which did not bother us as it was background noise but if you are a super light sleeper it may bug you. Overall, I would stay here again and would recommend!
