I travel as a teacher with students quite often. Selecting a hotel is one of the most difficult parts of planning travel. I was recommended to try the Aloft by Marriot in Louisville. This stay was awesome. We had to arrive late and our room keys and everything were prepared in advance which made checking in easy. Ryan at the front desk was very professional and a great guy. The rooms were spotless and some of my students commented that this was "The nicest hotel we've ever stayed in." I was impressed and I will definitely use this hotel again. I didn't get to try the pool but it is a great looking indoor pool.

In the past I have depended on my fellow TripAdvisors, and I thank all of you. Therefore, I am doing my part now. Sometimes we have to travel, and it is good to know when their is a safe place to stay. During Covid, we have declined many family events, but this one we felt we needed to attend. We booked three rooms: a King, and a Double Queen which adjoined our King two-room suite. When we came to the hotel, we were greeted warmly and safely. Each room was spacious and clean. The bathroom has lots of counter space around the sink for getting ready before an event. The two-room King was especially nice with a bar sink, mirror, microwave, and refrigerator. The beds were super comfortable. There are other Marriott properties next door, but there was no noise. There is a major shopping center/restaurants nearby. There was coffee and muffins available downstairs. I warmed my blueberry muffin in the microwave and it hit the spot. It has been a week since we were there and the only two who are sick played with the toddler with the runny nose. :)

Deciding to end our long drive from Charlotte, NC to Minneapolis, MN it was a last minute hotel decision. The location was based totally because of proximity to Costco. As gas prices are a bit steep and we wanted the most economical price. I also based my choice on the good food options mentioned in previous reviews. I was not sure how late we would arrive and food would be needed. Fortunately, we arrived at the hotel about 7pm. Tara who greeted us at reception was very kind. Unfortunately bar and restaurant were closed as it was a Sunday. After getting settled in our room we internet searched the area for restaurants that were full service and open. Again we were lucky to find Captain’s Quarters only 11 minutes away and situated on the river. Great! The hotel was very clean and Covid aware. It was not busy. We didn’t have time for breakfast the next morning so I can’t comment. The staff was so helpful, putting my ice blocks in their freezer and giving me other tips and suggestions of things to do in Louisville. I hope to take them up on their suggestions someday. We will mark this hotel as a place to stay on our travels back and forth from the north too the south or the other direction. The location is great. The Paddock Mall and its amenities next door are very inviting.

There needs to be some improvement to the outside of this motel. The parking lot was not in good shape, upstairs on the second level for the 200 room number had a dirty walk way, No internet service due to a virus was on the computer, so i could not use it, it was not fixed before I checked out. The only good thing was the breakfast bar which had a lot of fresh food to chose from and juices. Closed down at 9 am, you don't have a lot of time to get in there unless you are an early riser. Ice machine in the back of the building, you have to walk a ways to get to it, there is a laundry room in with the ice machine, you can wash your clothes and dry them in there, but you need your key to enter into the ice room. Uneven parking lot, dirty, and could use a replacing. Front desk service was good. Room carpet was dirty and old, could use replacing. Old cigarette burn marks on the vanity in the room. The room did have a microwave and refrigerator. Breakfast Bar, excellent!!

Stayed here for the second time, because it was on Saturday, so the price is more expensive than usual, but the hotel is good, the swimming pool gym has, do not like to eat old American breakfast, go out to the hotel for a few minutes to have Chinese food, location Very good, there are shuttle buses from the airport for ten minutes. Overall recommendation.

The design and layout is not what I am familiar with a Hilton Garden Inn but I really like it. It's more of a Modern style and design. The hotel is very clean, and nice nice staff. I stayed in Room 507 and it had a King bed. Room was Modern, very clean, and had a fun layout. There was no carpeting in the room, just tile and wood “ish” type flooring with the bed sitting on a rug. I did get to use the indoor pool. Also the Lobby is spacious and has a modern comfortable feel. Very inviting. Breakfast was served big the bar/restaurant area and was pretty good. Nice place and would highly recommend a stay here. I could see myself staying here again when passing through or not wanting to stay downtown. Plenty of shopping and eating option in the area and even more about 5 mins or so away. Nice location.

Excellent low spot rooms were clean well-kept linen was spotless the front desk Clerks tend to stare at you too much when you come downstairs for breakfast, and they hawk-eye your plates as if you're not going to eat a sausage biscuit and a bagel would you pay $6 for if you order on this website here. Either way, hot shower totally worth it, neighbors are quiet my room was near the elevator, and it didn't smell like a locker room in the fitness center. Although it was an excellent day and I was very happy, even extended by a day. I think you'll love it oh, it's typical Ramada Style at a price we can all afford!

This hotel had basic accommodations with some perks to add value while other amenities may be lacking. Stayed 2 nights in a King Efficiency; perks: large room, kitchenette, jacuzzi, proximity to most attractions are within 10-25 minute drive. Helpful Managers. Other features: grab-n-go breakfast bags, free parking, excellent, helpful staff. Dislikes: noisy next door patrons, both sides, odd location with no nearby restaurants, dated furnishings, decor, etc., low water pressure for shower (yet, more than adequate to fill jacuzzi). Location is between a freeway and a self storage facility. Note: this business trip required me to have easy access to the Expo Center, while convenient, all properties in Louisville increased rates, this hotel was no exception, so my rates were much higher than normal. Again, all hotels increased their rates for these premium events. Summing up, this was better than some previous stays elsewhere, not as good as other stays in Louisville for the same event.

The website says you receive free Wi-Fi, that there is a phone, desk, refrigerator, and microwave in each room. We were never offered a Wi-Fi password the rest didn't even exist in our room. The pictures on the website look NOTHING like the trashy room they put us in. There was no remote for the TV when we went downstairs to ask for one the one girl said to the other they say there is no remote in there. Like what? We've not even been here 10 minutes and that's after you sent us upstairs with keys that wouldn't unlock our door. There was a fire alarm hanging over the bed with a metal frame around it. I assume so it couldn't be stolen. The fire alarm was not attached to the ceiling, but laying in the metal frame. We wonder if it even worked. Bed looked broken and was leaning to one side. We asked for more pillows and another blanket as the pillows were the size of throw pillows one would buy for your couch. The ones that came with my couch are actually bigger. The best feature we saw in this hotel had to be the nicely decorated elevator. The only entrance door was through the main lobby. Half the parking is behind the building with no entrance into the building... The top lock on the inside of our door wasn't usable as the mechanism to lock it with that goes on the door itself was gone. Let's just say as 2 young women 2.5 hours from home we were NOT comfortable with this bait and switch room.

My daughter and I planned a vacation for a year. Upon arrival at the hotel, we immediately noticed it's smell, and the AC wasn't working in the lobby. The COVID barriers looked like they were built by 7th graders. We got our keys and went to our room. It smelled sour. No carpet on the floor. Just generally not clean appearing. I asked the desk about cancellation, but they said it was "prepaid" and nothing they could do. I called Priceline, who in turn contacted the hotel, and they offered to switch us to another room. I didn't see where that would solve anything. If one room is nasty, they're ALL nasty. This wasn't just in this one room. Since we couldn't get our money back, we elected to suck it up and stay. As it turned out, there was no maid service, if you needed towels or toilet paper you had to go get it. They smelled sour, too. After enduring the stay, and getting back home, we discovered we both have BED BUGS. Neither Priceline or Super 8 will refund since we did not take the alternate room that was offered. Needless to say, we won't be booking with Priceline OR staying at a Super 8 ever again.

Checked in on 12/14/19 for two nights. Check in went ok except for an employee, not the desk clerk, handing over her keys to someone with the admonishment, don’t lose these keys or I will kill you! Sorta spooked me. Room was on 3rd floor. Had no wi-fi and no tv signal. After calling desk clerk she came right up. This is a SWF alone walking into a strangers Hotel room! She did fix the tv and said she would have the next clerk reset the wi-fi. Long story short never got wi-fi. The next evening same SWF said there are some rooms on 3rd floor that never get wi-fi. Said she’d move us. Note 1: why was the room rented? The hotel wasn’t at capacity. Note 2: who wants to pack up and move rooms at 9:30 pm after a very long busy day? And finally: why did the corporate owners hold the desk clerk responsible to go alone into strangers room to fix wi-fi? This culture of running a hotel chain is not where I want to stay. There are other choices use them.

The hotel is beautiful and in a good location on 4th Street. Multiple restaurants and bars to eat but be sure to set reservations. The beds were comfortable but the sheets were very stiff and there was no thick comforter. Parking can be a little confusing, more signage needs to be visible because of valet and everything else the parking garages are hard to see. We had a larger vehicle and had to use a different parking garage, and due to all the valet in the front part you couldn't see where that parking garage was therefore we ended up parking in public parking garage down the road. Hotel staff was good about this and refunded us for the hotel parking so we was not double charged. One thing that I noticed that would be a big help to visitors is more signage within the hotel and parking garage. The hotel is very large and all the floors look the same so you can get quite turned around with which Tower you're going to or where the restaurants are located. For example, it would be good to have some signage inside the elevators so that you know which floors have access to which restaurants/skywalk. Would definitely recommend this hotel and will be staying here again.

The Aloft was very pleasant surprise. Everything about my stay was top-notch. The room was clean, comfortable, and well appointed. The front desk staff was prompt, courteous, and professional. Upon check-in, they thanked me for being a Marriott Member. They called my by name, each time I passed the front desk, and made sure that my stay was going well. However, hotel’s bar was the part of the stay. The bar staff was friendly and knowledgeable about the drinks that were stocked in the bar. The staff was especially knowable of their large section of Bourbons and Whiskeys. The bartender gave a great recommendation for dinner. Later he gave super information regarding after hours bars, after the hotel bar had to close. The location is the downtown bourbon district.

This property was a social media influencer’s dream, with high ceilings, artwork, and distinct spaces with color and texture variations. Check-in was smooth, and credit to the housekeeping manager who tried to assist me when the tasked staff were occupied with other guests. Breakfasts were delicious; the omelet station chefs and cleaning crew were attentive. We did not get to try the cocktail hour on this visit, but it was offered. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. Guests are asked to call to request service, which seems to be the norm in many hotels these days. Still, I was able to flag down housekeeping in the hallway for an impromptu cleaning and returned to fully serviced room with fresh towels, sheets, soaps, and coffee. The location was convenient for everything we did. There were no billing discrepancies or post-checkout issues. Overall, I can’t imagine choosing another property on my next stay in Louisville—and I don’t think that will be too far in the future.

There are several Marriott options to stay in Louisville. We were beyond delighted that I selected the Hotel Distil for six nights in every aspect of our stay. Rooms: I had booked a corner room but much to my complete surprise my six night SNA (Marriott reward for platinium members) got approved and was put in the connoisseur suite! Suite - all I can say is WOW. 710 square foot room, with windows in every room facing Main Street. Beautiful at night. Has 1.5 bathroom, living room and separate bedroom. Nespresso coffee machine, mini refrigerator, magnifying mirror in bathroom, in room safe and 2 televisions. My daughter had reserved a standard King room for 3 nights and the room was perfect for her needs as well. Her room also had Nespresso coffee machine, mini refrigerator, in room safe and 1 television. My other daughter joined us for the last 3 nights and they were also able to use their SNA award for a connoisseur suite for the last 3 nights. Happy for SNA! Check in: for both of us was perfect. Jenni was efficient and we were in our room(s) in no time. Our entire time spent at Distil, the front desk staff were so pleasant and helpful with any questions we had. Andre was super helpful with telling me where I could purchase bubble wrap as I need to wrap several bottles of whiskey for the airplane ride home. We were there when Thunder Over Louisville was happening and the staff was flawless in making it easy to get in and out of hotel; as Main Street was packed with sightseers. Valet Parking: Rented a car for 2 days – valet parking was perfect for the 1 night. Housekeeping was daily (in my suite) my daughter said housekeeping for her King room was every other day, which quite frankly for us is just fine. Breakfast: The member reward for breakfast was super generous and we ate in their restaurant Repeal. Delicious and filling breakfast to start our day. Staff at Repeal were super friendly. Just 1 day was the service slow. 1933 cocktail daily in lobby to celebrate the end of prohibition – simply brilliant and fun!!! Gym: eldest daughter exercises daily. She said the gym was very good. Location: Absolutely perfect!! Seriously you could not pick a better spot. This hotel was walking distance to almost everything we wanted to visit. That includes restaurants, bars, Louuisville Slugger museum, distilleries, NULU, etc. Repeal Restaurant: As mentioned, breakfast there was great. Our last night at the Hotel we had dinner at Repeal and was the best steak I’ve had in a very long time. We did not visit Repeal bar during our stay but have to say from the looks of people attending, this is the happening bar at night. Yes, there are many options of places to stay in Louisville. Having stayed for 6 nights I can say that Hotel Distil is a trifecta (triple win). I would return to this hotel in a heartbeat.

This hotel was a bit of a paradox because your first impressions are so different from each other. My very first impression was a bit of fear. This is practically on the interstate with quite a bit of trash on the frontage road area. If you come in at night, the front desk clerks lack quite a bit of a professional appearance and are rather scary looking. They also have to unlock the door to let you in to the lobby. However, the rooms seems very clean and updated. I was VERY surprised at how nice they looked. The beds and pillows were comfortable. Here’s the cons: 1. Earplugs needed. These rooms are by no means soundproof. You will hear all the jets and traffic. 2. There were some cobwebs on the ceiling near the mirror. I am guessing nobody has looked up in awhile. 3. The bathroom is tiny. You can barely get in the door to use the toilet. And I am a small person. 4. There was NO smell of cigarettes, but I did find a couple of cigarette burns on my comforter. Neutral: the breakfast is adequate, but not fancy by any means. There wasn’t one protein item offered—not even peanut butter for your toast. Good: cleanliness as a whole, updated, morning desk clerks have a much more professional appearance.

We stayed here after going to the World of Wheels car show at the KY Expo Center. Lisa at the desk was extremely friendly; I asked her about places to eat and she was helpful, giving us areas to stay away from and telling us about local places as we like to eat local and not chain. There was mild airplane noise; I know that's a concern and I live in an extremely rural area so I worried that any noise would keep me awake since I wouldn't be used to it. We were there on a weekend night so maybe less planes (?) I found the room to be clean. One small area in the bathroom where the shower curtain doesn't meet with the wall seemed to have some water damage. We did not take advantage of the free breakfast.

Booked online for family to see thunder on Ohio, front desk lady checks me im then asks how many adults I say 2. She says other guests name I say Adrian. She says "where is he!" I say well she's disabled so she's waiting in my car. This woman starts screaming furiously " if he disabled then how will he get up stairs!" I calmly said calm down I'll just help her up the stairs. I repeatedly said please just let me go get her if you need her While she says stay right there! Every time I looked outside she keeps screaming no! You stay right there! She gets on her phone says" I have security check your car for him where is he!" By now other guests gathered to laugh at me getting yelled at by her while her "security" looked more like her husband, wandered through the parking lot looking for a man with my wife's name evidently. She was just too irate to communicate with. I finally said look please just refund me. She prints a refund points to the door yelling get out! While other guests laughed. I walk past her "security" mugging me all menacingly to my wife and tried to explain why we had to leave. We were well dressed in a new car, well behaved. It was appauling. It all but ruined our very expensive trip to thunder. Wife was very upset. The extended stay was like heaven for a few bucks more.
