I went to Totsuka on business trip and stayed at the hotel which is located near Totsuka station. This is a business hotel and I stayed in a small room having a single bed. There is no room card nor key but I was told 6-digit number to unlock the door of my room. The room and bath were clean. There is a small refrigerator that let you keep some foods and drinks. Bottles of shampoo, conditioner, and face and body wash were placed on the edge of bath. I found chargers of micro USB, FOMA3G, CDMA au, and Type-C on a desk besides Run cable. And complementary WIFI was also available. I found 2 USB sockets on the headboard, that help me use my smartphone before sleep. The room had an air conditioner that was so quiet when working therefore it did not disturb me from sleeping. Weak Point The hotel has only one elevator therefore I had to wait about 10 mins to use it when busy time. Emergency stairs are available in outside of the hotel. The stairs would not be a choice when it is hot or cold outside. I would recommend you to use the elevator before or after the busy time.

Not the first Toyoko Inn that I have stayed at, but my least favorite. Helpful and courteous staff but....... the 1600 check-in time is late even by Japanese standards, no English language TV, breakfast is bread and coffee! Located 15-20 minute walk pulling a wheeled suitcase from JR Station. I would not recommend this hotel to friends.

I was staying for an overnight here, to meet with a friend, for the next day of travel. The person at the front desk was very friendly and polite. His knowledge of the English language was pretty good. Check in was very straight forward and I was given the times for when check out is suppose to be. I was also given instruction on room amenities, the use of Wifi, and if there was anything else needed, that the staff would help as best they could. Now for the room. The room I had was quite spacious and the layout was excellent. The bathroom was a normal size, for Japanese standards, but I had no problem taking a shower. When I stand at 6'-2" or 188cm. The room was very clean, as was the bathroom, which had all the amenities that I needed. Just an FYI. You have to put your card in the slot for the electricity to come on in the room and also look for the on/off button in the fridge. In case you are going out, you have to take your door card with you, you won't have power to the room, when you take the card out of the wall slot. That switch keeps the power on to your fridge, so nothing melts, gets warm, or spoils. Best part about this hotel, is that you are close to the train/ bus station, not too noisy, lots of places to eat (even grocery shopping if you wanted to), and even close to a mall to shop. Again, I was only here for an overnight, but I enjoyed my stay very much.

This hotel is a quick walk from station or 750 yen in taxi that is just the base rate, no tips are necessary in Japan considered an insult. Hotel is clean, very quiet and a little time worn. The Tobago cafe by the lobby serves a lovely breakfast choice of six fixed plates. Rates are high in Japan fri sat and low tues we’d and thurs. room was tiny but enough room for luggage and a little table and chairs. No English tv stations. Staff make a good effort to speak English.

I booked it on Saturday night, and it was only 400 yuan for two people. It is really a conscience price, and it is cheap in Japan. The room is 25 square meters, the space is large enough, and the room design is novel and unique. The TV is big, there are coffee machines and coffee beans, a lot of toiletries, hair pullers, bathtubs can make bubbles, and air purifiers. The most important thing is that there is free parking.

If you arrive at Yokohama Sta and can get out without circling, congratulations! The hotel is not hard to find once you exit in the proper place. I found the S. West exit near (the stinky) Lush soap store to be the most direct. There are a gazillion restaurants all around and despite being a lively area, my room was very quiet and I only really heard the adjacent neighbor's door shutting. The blackouts on these windows do not completely keep out light as most other business hotels I've stayed have (the shade doesn't run on a track so light bleeds on the edges). Front desk is very friendly and it's convenient that once you tap your key card it goes to your floor. The elevator always stops at floor 2 (reception). The body care amenities seem a little nicer than average for business hotel and includes a small packet of body lotion. The bathtub is a little less narrow than standard unit bath too. My efficient, single size room had a small sitting chair and side table between the foot of the bed and window. I wonder how many people have actually used that chair in the compactly tight space.

This has to be one of the best located hotels in Yokohama for the price- come on reviewers, it is DOWNTOWN! Clean and trendy decor, yes you have to carry your own baggage, but they will help you if you ask. I had a little juliet balcony and look outside to the ocean, KFC and the holiday delights for Japanese tourists or over to the canals and know that I would in less than 3 minutes be in a great and busy izakaya for really well known local food, REIWA sake and convivial chat in Japanese and English with holidaying Japanese around the bar. The hotel's associated restaurant too was good for this weary traveller- separate cost, it was busy and large but next door. I was a little late for lunch and asked how long they were open for, less than 45 mins to go. BUT, the staff all knew this and brought out fresh food for me, attended to my every need (this was a buffet), just so friendly and helpful. All types of lovely seafood, hot and cold dishes and of course deserts. The hotel to was on a little road that led down into the very busy shopping sector. (Golden week). A nearby pharmacy was so helpful, and gave me the appropriate medication. No English, but so helpful. Don't you just love Japan?

The value here is very good! If you hit the right timing, rooms can be low as $45-55/night. Same price as business hotels a stop or two away, but this IS IN YOKOHAMA and it's a lot nicer! Quite spacious too. Opened up my luggage and it remains open because there's enough space. Nothing to complain about. Comfortable bed, great view, great lighting, radio built into the cabinet, and they even play music in the hallway so you're not going to hear your neighbors... much. Internet that's actually usable! 40mbps and stable. I'm watching a Youtube video as I type this. I feel this hotel was once considered a very nice hotel (maybe in the 80s?). The decor and carpeting feels dated, but still nice. Staff was very friendly and had great eye contact. I was even given a free upgrade! Unheard of in Japan. Listed as a 3 star hotel, but definitely not in the same class as the business hotels like APA, LiveMax, MyStays, etc. They have company events and weddings here. They have a cafe and multiple restaurants in the hotel. Location is right above the tip of Yokohama Station. You have to walk a bit, but you do this walk in the train station. You don't have to take any extra train/bus to get to Yokohama, you are there. There are stairs you need to take up from the train station to get to the hotel. I'd say about 25 steps, but I lugged my 50lb luggage up so you can too! I loved that I can go downstairs into the train station at 8:30pm to buy up food on 40-50% sale before they closed. If you're considering Sheraton Yokohama, this hotel is not in the same class, but it's only another 2-3 min walk.

The location was great. The rooms are large and the night view is beautiful! I was very impressed by the rising sun from the front in the morning! I broke the glass in the bathroom, but he came to clean it immediately and cleaned it very carefully. Thank you very much! I was relieved from the stress of the corona sickness for a while, and I was able to stay with peace of mind because it was clean and had good measures against corona. It is a hotel that I definitely want to stay at!

This hotel feels like a Japanese hotel designed by Scandinavians. I love it; it's the favourite hotel so far in two trips to Japan. The hotel room was a reasonable size (by Japanese standards a large room) and was very well-designed so there was space for everything. It included a workdesk area and a chair with a side table by the window. Everything was very clean. Where the 'Scandinavian' part comes in is the furniture, a teak/ivory colour with simple lines, and the style, an overall light airy feel to the room. The bathroom was spacious by Japanese standards, with a tub with shower, and was spotlessly clean. A very useful feature of this hotel is their reasonably-priced self-service laundry room, which was easy to use. The buffet breakfast was very good, and there were lots of tables for one or two people, which is convenient for solo travellers. All people I dealt with at reception were efficient and spoke good English. The location was great, I felt, as it is right at the Shin-Yokohama station (great for access to the Shinkansen). The hotel lobby is on the 10th floor, and the breakfast room is on the 12th floor. There is a shopping mall on the lower floors of the building, with numerous shops, including a large grocery store on the second floor where I bought a Bento box for supper. Access into downtown Yokohama is easy, as the subway station is in the basement of the building. The trip to downtown Yokohama takes about 15 minutes. If I was in the area, I would certainly stay here again.

Daiwa Roynet Hotel Yokohama Park is a chain hotel with friendly front desk staff. The entrance to the hotel is inconspicuous. The hotel rooms are large and clean and bright, but the corridor is dark and there are many corners. Check-in is on the third floor. Below the third floor is the spa and restaurant outside the hotel. There is a convenience store on the ground floor entrance. The hotel is a little far from the station and the cruise terminal, but is close to Chinatown.

There are only a few reasons to be in Shin-Yokohama... Either your business trip makes it convenient, you plan on taking an early/late shinkansen train or in my case its close to my family... This has a great shopping and eating district all nearby but unless you are Japanese, little else... The hotel itself has reasonable sized rooms for Japan that are modern, have good amenities, and with fabulous views when the weather permits regardless of what direction you face...It's in a huge mall, so you will not starve or be bored... It does offer the fastest trip to Tokyo by train (18 minutes) by Shinkansen to Tokyo station from Yokohama... The prices are super reasonable for what you get and where you are (except Saturday- Japanese date night), just don't expect interesting places to visit nearby... In perspective you would spend $200 plus weekdays for an equivalent hotel in most major US cities or Europe...So its a bargain for what you pay for.

Praise! In Japan, this room is ok, at least two large 26-inch suitcases can be opened. The most perfect thing was that every day when I checked in, I was given a mask of beauty and beauty. It was super happy. And the ear-coffee coffee delivered by the hotel front desk also tastes special, and a cup every morning is perfect. It's a little far from the subway station, but it's ok. The hotel is in the middle of Sariya and 711, so seeing Sariya every day is equivalent to returning home. If you come to Yokohama next time, you can consider this hotel ~

We choose this hotel because of its location near the cruise ship terminal. You can see the cruise ships at the terminal from the hotel. If you plan to have breakfast in the morning, prepay for the breakfast. It is a very nice buffet from 7 to 10 AM. Our room was comfortable and well equipped except for 2 issues. When we arrive late afternoon it was very hot, because the air conditioning turns off when no one is in the room. It took quite a while to cool off - about 30 minutes to an hour. The second issue is the internet. There are two ways to access. We tried going in thru the “new Otani inn” and had intermittent success. The front desk advised us to go thru the room number that has a password on the TV. I had to actively share the access with my spouse. Both of us got on with our iPads, but I never could get in either way with my iPhone XR. The WiFi worked best in the middle of the night. The hotel is adjacent to the Sakuragicho train station. You have to exit the station towards the water and turn left. There is a shopping center building with an escalator going up one side to your right as you face the building. When you get to the top of the escalator turn left into the hotel lobby, which is on the 3rd floor. The express train from Narita airport goes to the Yokohama station, not to the Sakuragicho station. To get to Sakuragicho from the Yokohama station take the blue train from platform 3 and go one stop. The room is compact, but has lots of amenities, a fancy Japanese toilet/bidet, good shower and good lighting in the bathroom. The twin sized beds are comfortable. There is a safe, refrigerator and wrapped toothbrushes, Qtips, plastic brushes, etc. the shampoo etc are in large containers.
