The hotel seems to have no breakfast. When I started, I didn’t know why it was only for adults. Later, I realized that it was really a couple hotel for couples and couples. It really has some 18-year-old content, so it would be nice if the young couple came to live. More recommended, the location is a bit far from the subway station.

The front desk of the hotel is always unable to find people, Chinese is not available, and English is fully translated. Communication is difficult. But the bathroom stuff was great. Bubble bath. Toiletries are also good and can be taken away for free. Breakfast can be selected at check-in and delivery time. Breakfast taste is very good. This price cannot be imagined near Sannomiya Station.

The location is close to the Shinjuku Line of Hanshin Line and it takes 10 minutes to walk. The hotel is not small, the room is not small, but it belongs to the lover hotel, usually the front desk can not see the waiter. Deliver food to the room in the morning. The bathroom is large, there is a microwave oven, the refrigerator is fixed as a grid for drinks, and it is not convenient to put other things. There are 2 canteens nearby, which is convenient for eating. In the previous stop, there was a supermarket in the last stop. After the last stop, there was a king in the Yuying station. I often got off the bus and went back after dinner. The hotel is surrounded by the famous Japanese sake production area. You can walk to the exhibition halls and buy wines at various major wineries to make a special tour of sake.

Though a bit far from tourist spot, it is still a nice place especially for those who prefer a quiet trip. There are very limited shops around, but can satisfy the basic needs of a usual traveller. Service is excellet. I have mistakenly left something valuable in my room. Luckily this hotel found it and despatched it to my home with a very reasonable charge. All staffs I have met are very polite and helpful. No problem in English communication.

This was not the best of the hotels I stayed at in Japan on this trip. First, the positives. Check in staff were pleasant. The room and bathroom were both large for Japan. I had a corner room with dual aspect windows, which was nice. The breakfast views from the 18th floor were lovely. The hotel is extremely close to the station, and the walk between the two is through a mall, with a Family Mart convenience store and a 100 yen shop. The bathroom shower had great water pressure However, the room reeked of stale cigarette smoke, made worse by moving the curtains. The fridge was turned off when I arrived and this wasn’t mentioned, meaning the iced coffee I bought for the morning of the first day ended up being thrown away. I booked a double room and got twin single beds, which wasn’t ideal as I’m tall and my feet hung over the edge. The air conditioning unit was old and not great. Rokkō Island is an absolute ghost town. The river walk at sunset was pretty but there’s very little going on out there and I would rather have been closer to the action. The much-touted ‘bayside view’ is mostly port... best at night. Unfortunately this hotel is just like Rokkō Island in general: built with hope and promise but a faded version of what might have been.

Not bad, the boss is a very funny little old man who can speak English. If the accommodation conditions are ok, the bedding will be changed every day (the dormitory is the same), and the single room is a combination.

Western style delicious meal, room itself is Japanese style with cozy western style beds are set. Nostalgic hospitality. The 2nd floor lounge is open and they serve free soft drink and books are there. Location is good for sightseeng around the top area of Mt.Rokko and landscape, and if you phone the Hotel from the top of the Rokko Cable Station , they will pick you and others up soon. The rooms of 4th floor are good for landscape.

It would take a whole page of details to describe how nice this place is in 2020. I stayed there three times, each time in different rooms, each time perfect. It is just NICE. Location is perfect, quiet yet one stop from Kobe, the neighborhood is romantic like Greenwich Village or Montmartre or a nice place in San Francisco. The little house is very cute, very homey, with a large common space. The staff are incredible. Just rush to stay there before the team get old and change business. For the time being, they are super super master of genuine hospitality. They made me understand what is the pinnacle of a "guesthouse Japanese style". There is an elevated railway line running just on the other side of the street. It is not a problem because during the night, there are no trains. I fully recommend this place. This hotel was amazing. Great location (15 minute walk from the high speed train station), fantastic view (whole harbor and major buildings in the area), and great service. The proprietor gave us great travel tips to make the most of our short stay in Kobe, and even wrote out the Japanese address we needed to catch our flight the next day. The hotel room is literally an apartment, complete with a full kitchen, bathroom, living room and TV, as well as a balcony with a great view. Recommended for a night or better yet a lengthy stay. The proprietor is so accommodating (New York native) and is friendly and easy to communicate with!

Apartment is located near Sannomiya Station, a big hub for Kansai access.Perfect for 2 with 2 single beds. We have kitchen with basic cooking ware and utensils. There is a small dining table which is great for eating or planning your next adventure in Japan.

The hotel staff were kind and very accommodating to people with low Japanese language abilities. The Kobe beef shabu-shabu dinner was delicious and very filling. It came with many different dishes. Our room was spacious compared to other ryokans I've stayed at. There was a small hot spring bath in the hotel that we enjoyed. The breakfast the next morning was huge. I could not finish it. It was made up of many small Japanese veggie dishes, a fish, miso soup, rice, etc. It was tasty. I recommend this room to those looking to have a nice Japanese ryokan experience in a quiet residential area while being close to the shinkansen station.

I was able to stay at a great deal with the GoTo Travel Campaign! Speaking of Kobe, this hotel came to my mind first, but I was sure to choose it! The room was open with a deck, and the breakfast was delicious with a buffet. I wish I had a latte or cappuccino. There was a shuttle bus for guests every 20 minutes to Sannomiya station, so there was no inconvenience. I haven't stayed in Kobe for a long time, but it was a wonderful and memorable stay! Thank you 😊

Located at the port of Kobe this Hotel is at a location with great view to the port. On foot easy to reach the Mosaic at the port with many restaurants and bars, but also only 15 minutes walk to Sannomiya the city center of Kobe. I also like this Hotel because the rooms are really spacious and not like typical Japanese business hotels. As part of their health club they also have a 25m standard indoor swimming pool, sauna and hot Japanese bath, outdoor pool, tennis court, etc.. The breakfast is rich and has western and Japanese food to offer. The Japanese restaurants both are excellent and provide good service, but unfortunately close quite early, so late night dinner not possible. Most of the staff speak good English. A little disadvantage is that you cannot earn points on their loyalty program when booked through an agent. All in all a very good hotel and worth the money.

My husband and I loved everything about this hotel. It was one of the most beautiful hotels that we have ever stayed in. Perfect in every way. We spent three nights in a deluxe harbour view king room. The room itself was very spacious, beautifully decorated, clean and had a wonderful view of the harbour. To top things off it had a nespresso machine and a complimentary mini bar that was refilled every day. The public spaces were very atmospheric and conveyed a past era perfectly. We loved the bar with its amazing views. Although not on the menu the bartender made me a perfect negroni ( OK more than one). One evening we ate in the restaurant and found the food to be delicious. The service at the front desk, in the bar and in the restaurant was impeccable. The room attendants did an excellent job. We thought that our room, the bar and the restaurant all represented excellent value for money. Neither my husband nor I could find a single fault with the Oriental Hotel. Even better, the Oriental Hotel's location in Kobe cannot be beat. I am so pleased that we discovered this very special hotel. Highly recommended!!

The location is not far from the station. It is located in the quiet old town and calms down. There is no problem with cleanliness. Security is also solid. The staff is extremely disappointing. First of all, I have a business at the front desk and even if I call from the extension, I don't even get out. What do you do in an emergency? Not limited to that, the reception is very poor, which I can't think of as a Japanese hotel. Amakudari destination for civil servants? is it. It doesn't seem to be educated as a hotel man at all, and it's terrible.

Our 5 night stay here was exceptional. We were given a large room that faced onto a construction site but a request to move to the other side of the building was accommodated. While this meant a smaller room we were much happier with views over the Ikuta Shrine. The location is great, with easy walking access to Sannomiya train station, and other city highlights. The buffet breakfast was superb, with sooo many options and constantly replenished by attentive staff. The main man at breakfast was so good at his job and so friendly, it was a highlight of my day to see his smiling face. Seems to be a hotel used by tour groups, as one time we had to wait to enter breakfast due to a large influx of people. As others have mentioned, the rooms are small and there is not much space for hanging or storing clothes but we managed fine. Daily servicing of rooms was appreciated and we always felt comfortable and looked after. Thank you for our stay.

We stayed in an executive deluxe double room and couldn’t believe the room when we saw it. We had to double check what we paid for it as it seemed so plush and huge. It is very good value for money. The rooms are very tasteful. It was corner room with expansive views of harbour, comfy seating, comfy beds. Great toiletries, everything one could think of was offered. Wifi worked well, room was very quiet. Bath was huge and water stayed hot. Tea on offer was great with nice ceramics. Service was great. The only downside was it got a bit annoying to walk to the stations each time as it’s not so close to the stations but still ok with a 12 minute walk but transfers are needed. I think the hotel may be too small for a shuttle bus. When we arrived we were also given $100 to spend in their restaurants etc which was. Bonus. The breakfast was fine but not something I would ordinarily pay for. The hotel is part of the chain of leading small hotels of the world and this one is really great and we would stay here again if in Kobe. It is very plush and luxurious.
