Hotels Near Your Kitchen In Houston
1.16km from Your KitchenCheck in this past Saturday to attend my mother birthday celebration gathering. Usually when I check into every hotel I always sage and light incense. Even do this in my own home. I'm a spiritual person who just like to be around positive people and surround myself with positive energy. check out that morning and realize later on that afternoon the hotel charged me for smoking in a room, and in which me and my husband do not smoke.. I called the hotel to speak with management about this issue she kept saying the room smell likes smoke, I'm explaining to her that we lit an incense and sometimes incense do leave a burning smoke smell.. Hell you can even google it and it will say the same thing.. More so common knowledge, so I asked the sweet front desk lady name Courtney if she could go check the room tell me what does she smell. She said the room smell like burnt smoke but does not smell like cigarettes or Marijuana. She was very understanding to the situation. So when speaking to the front office manager she was so rude was not trying to hear what I had to say not even listening to her staff. Charged me 150.00. Like I told her there is no rule that we cant light incense. Even gave an example people come in and check into a hotel all the time to do special things with there love ones, light candles, rose petals, light incense to set the mood you name it. So my thing is when I asked management what the room smell like. She couldn't even tell me, All she said was the room smells like smoke. So if the room does not smell like cigarettes or weed why did I get charged when we didn't smoke in the room. No compassion was just trying to get extra money out of a person.. Johnny, Eric, Courtney, and Jasmine were all so great. Just wish they had better management cause they show no empathy or compassion to their guest or listen to them... I will say this if your trying to do something special with your loved one dont stay here. They will charge you. I stay at hotels at least 6 times out of the year and I've always sage and light incense and never encountered this to be an issue..

4.4km from Your KitchenI stayed here for work. I stay in a lot of hotels for work. My billing has to be very precise for reimbursement and I ran into a snaffu because I needed to separate an invoice to submit under 2 different jobs. Gabriella at the front desk went out of her way to take care of me. It was a pain because there was a rate change involved but she persevered. Thank you Gabriella! The breakfast bar at this one also had a higher caliber of food than normal. Ora brings her skill and love from home to make this happen. Best biscuits I've had at an IHG property yet!

Hotels Near Your Kitchen In Houston Review
My wife, her Service Dog and I stayed at this property. When checking in I was greeted by P. K. and even though I made sure to let the property know that we were traveling with a Service Dog it seemed like it was a complete surprise to P.K. He asked for proof for the Service Dog, this is against ADA rules, but since I was tired I showed proof along with her shot records. Once we got through this the room (which was handicap accessible) was amazing!! It was big enough to accommodate my wife in her wheelchair. Suggestions I would make are to install a 24 inch grab bar in the shower along with a shower seat. Also, the bed is too high for a disabled to get into, I had to lift my wife to get her onto the bed.Once these adjustments are made we would definitely stay here again. P. K. kept asking us if all was good.
I was looking for a hotel with a nice soft bed so I thought I would give the Hilton a try...I would give the softness of the bed a 3 out of 5 for 125.00 for one night, I expected for the bed to feel more like the softness of a tempurpedic matress unfortunately it was not even close, that being said, it was still soft enough for me to get a Great night sleep, it is not nearly as hard as the beds at the Holiday Inn Express, thank goodness. The pillows however made up for the not so soft bed , as soon as I layed my head down I was alseep in the middle of the day..lol...The room was set up very nice, and also I also liked the fact that they have free parking and alot of the parking is lite up and at the front of the hotel The Things that stopped me from giving this hotel is 5 1) Most hotels check in are at 11am, but check here is the 4pm 2) the bed was not soft and it sinks in when you sleep or lay in it the wrong way 3) the cable kept going off so I could not watch anything hardly consistently
This Doubletree is 3 minutes from Hobby. They have excellent van service departing to the airport every 15 minutes. The airport pickup is rapid. Just call and they will be there usually in 6 minutes pick up spot 14 outside baggage claim. The front desk staff are very nice and professional. The rooms are always clean and recently were upgraded with new large TVs The Sundance bar is open 12 to midnight which is where I eat. They have the same menus as the regular restaurant. The two bartenders are great. Lane and Christian. There is a nice pool and gym. For a change from staying in the 9 story tower I like to stay in the cabana rooms. They face the pool and are separate from the main tower. I highly recommend this hotel for location and value when in the hobby Airport area
Enjoyed our stay! Will be back! Was originally going to stay at another location but decided to stay here and was not disappointed. Staff was nice and breakfast was delicious. Great hotel and we really liked the location.
Checked in here – found our room floor dirty – an apologetic maid in the hallway came in and swept it -not her fault – she said our room hadn’t been used in a while. The room itself was clean and tidy - good having a basic kitchen and this Woodspring suites – unlike the other in Tampa we stayed previously – includes cooking utensils, cutlery and crockery at no extra cost - great for cooking a meal. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom – nice big walk in shower – but shower door track was broken. No hand towels, no tissues supplied. TV was good, but no TV guide for channels and programs. Also there was no motel info booklet. On check in the wifi not mentioned – so we had to go ask reception for the code. Guest Laundry was handy - $2.25 a wash and $2.25 a dry which we used. Whilst staying here the next morning the water went off. We had checked in 3 pm the day before and there was no mention of an outage by staff. We rang reception and they said it is was a planned outage and didn’t we see the notice at reception- this was not one when we checked in – it must have been placed there later. If staff knew they should have verbally told us and we would have risen earlier to shower etc. By the time we have discovered it it was already too late. We had to go out for the day and drive just to find a functioning toilet. Couldn’t have a shower and even clean our teeth properly with absolutely no water. Provision should have been made for water bottles and functioning (portable?) toilets given their prior knowledge. And why not slip a note under guests doors informing them. Not even coffee available as that had already run out just after 9am. Staff less than helpful. We don’t blame the hotel for the outage – but blame them for extremely bad handling of this event. When we returned that afternoon – water was finally back on but our bathroom sink cold water tap flow was non-existent. Rang reception and they said no maintenance until tomorrow. Therefore we had to clean teeth and shave in the kitchen sink- not good enough!! Staff were hardly ever in attendance at reception when you walked past. When they were there there was no greeting etc like most hotel receptions On the morning of check out we had to wait while they chatted amongst themselves about their weekly work schedule before they would serve us- so it took a while-not very professional. Extremely poor service from a hotel that could offer so much more. To top the stay off -a semi naked man knocked at door at 7.30am!
We stayed there two nights, the night we arrived at the airport and the night before we departed. We were pleasantly surprised from the time we got there to the time we left how helpful the Owner, his Family, and his staff were to ensure our stay was perfect. The rooms were clean and well equipped. The hot breakfast was great. The transportation to and from the Airport was efficient and on time. I would certainly stay there onec again when our travels bring us to Houston.
We have been here for awhile .. and seen a few staff members come & go. There is a new overnight house keeper named GLENDA! At first she was very quiet. Due to Covid .. the hotel is not doing coffee in the mornings.. so I come down to get to go coffe cups and sometimes creamer... Glenda must have a photographic memory.. because she remembers when I need cups sometime before I remember..which is a nice welcomed surprise .. it allows us to actually relax instead of jumping at the last min or getting dressed to go down stairs ... I often forget my key in the room when I take the dogs out! She was helping someone at the counter .. I assume she overheard me mention to my other half that I forgot the card upstairs… When we walked back in with her animals she already had two keys waiting for is right there behind the front desk... which was so wonderful... because of HER FORTHOUGHT , polite , & very thoughtful nature.. By having those ready before returning we were able to avoid ppl in the lobby including another dog. Some one walked in with the moment we walked out of the lobby!! Management :::: please consider Glenda as employee of the month or something! She really deserves it !!!
Conveniently located to nearby restaurants and shopping centers. Also Close by the airport. The hotel has complimentary shuttle service. The area is quiet. Rooms are nice and clean. Comfortable bedding and sitting area. Room equipped with a stove top, dishwasher, refrigerator, dishes and microwave. Complimentary breakfast during the morning and most evenings complimentary dinner is served. I looked forward to dinner most nights. A menu is usually located at the front desk. Front desk staff is friendly as well as the shuttle driver. Overall great location and great stay!
This Residence Inn is under renovation. The rims that are done are gorgeous and beautiful with all the amenities and up-to-date in every way. There is a lot of work in the halls and then the rooms that are not finished creating quite a mess and the common areas. There is a nice Courtyard with pool and BBQ and nice trees and foliage as well as a basketball court. The staff here is really nice and the housekeeping is doing an awesome job. Good part of town with lots of restaurants nearby. They do have gated parking but it is free. Only issue I really had was that air conditioning it does struggle to keep up with providing a cool temperature inside the rooms of low 70s. Can't seem to get below 72 this summer. 72 might be cool to a Texan but for anybody from out of town that's not used to the humidity 72 feels like upper eighties. Would recommend this hotel Once the renovations are done. I bet it's very nice once all the renovations are done
Guests were too loud. I work nights on travel and the noise was unbearable. No one cared enough to quiet it down. I moved to the second from the first floor and still no help with noise. I left before I could get rest. Drove all the way to Dallas sleepy.
This is what I would call a "sleeper" because it's pretty non-descript and ugly on the outside, but the rooms are actually very up to date and clean on the inside. New finishes, a couch, comfy beds and super fast internet. My only complaint is that the "hot" breakfast consists of a choice of waffles or boiled egg. Not bad for the money though.
nothing to complain. good price！
well. The hotel is located in the city center, it is very convenient to travel, the room is in good condition, the mattress is comfortable, the staff service is warm and thoughtful, and will come again.
I just stayed couldnt even make it couple of nights. I was in town on contract work, it was a terrible experience. Bathroom doors don't close right and are flimsy, everything felt cheap and in disrepair. The whole place has the aire of a cheap stripper motel. At $97/night you can definetly find a nicer place to stay in Houaton off highway 6. Going into our second night there I arranged payment with the manager - after he had trouble with trying to process my card over the phone - for after i got off work. Note I had tbis card on file from my initial online reservation. He assured me everything was ok and my family, staying in the room would be fine and left undisturbed. I come back to the room to my wife sobbing uncontrollably after the staff harrassed her twice for payment or threatened to be kicked out with our two young daughters and no car. When confronted about it the other manager scoffed and dismissed me. We left immediately. In short if you're looking for a place to cheat on your wife this is probably a good place to do it. If you have a family or any inkling of since I'd reccomend finding another place. They are unprofessional and not well veresed in the hospitality industry at all.
It’s always a pleasure having a warm greeting and thats exactly what I got walking into The Red Roof Inn with my family. Ms.Tamiko was a great help in booking our room and making sure we were comfortable with the room we were in. Definitely enjoyed my night and the service at this location. Plan on coming back real soon for another great experience. Thanks again Ms.Tamiko😁!
From start of booking our reservations with Kara it was wonderful. Kara was very nice, pleasant and patient with us on the call. Upon my arrival on Monday evening, Enrique made us feel right at home. His beautiful smile and down-to-earth attitude make us feel welcome. He made sure I received Gold Member treatment. Upon leaving for work on Tuesday morning, the young lady that was working around 7:30 A.M. (I don't remember her name) was very alert, perky and had a beautiful smile too, made my day start off well with her compliments and best wishes. During the evening social on Tuesday I met with Megan and her bubbly attitude with me while getting the information our company information was so great. I even invited my co-workers to come and sit with me during the social hour and Enrique made them feel welcome as if they were guest staying their. Thank you all for making this stay an extremely pleasant one.
This is my go-to hotel in the Energy Corridor area of Houston. I've stayed at many hotels near and far from here and I've got to say this one has the best service. The front desk staff is second to none. They do have a free complimentary breakfast in the morning that is nice and hot and fresh. Free parking. Clean rooms with all the updated amenities. Clean grounds and Nice Landscaping all around. The greatest thing about this hotel is if you are a loyal member they treat you extremely well. I come in every 3 weeks for business here and they always greet me by name and welcome you back like a friend. Can't get better service at a 5-star hotel. I highly recommend this place
I was staying at this property for business. I often leave my belongings out in a certain way along with my business paperwork and receipts. After returning to my room at the end of the business day I discovered that my belongings have been organized in a different way than I had left them and all of my paperwork for work was gone. Property missing!!! I called the front desk and told them what had happened. I was told that the GM (Brandy) would contact me the next day and hopefully offer some solutions. Brandy never called me, so I called her. She said that she had been busy but heard about my complaint. She immediately defended her staff and said they would never do anything like that. I told her that I needed my belongings to re-appear.. She said that she would speak with her staff and call me back in one hour. I returned it to the hotel room about eight hours later and still never heard from Brandy. I asked at the front desk if Brandy had resolved the situation. The front desk person said that she had spoken to Brandy about it and Brandy had not mentioned any resolution and she apologized to me (the front desk person not Brandy). I then said that I will need to check out as I do not feel comfortable staying in a hotel where the staff is committing offenses against the guests and the general manager is condoning it by doing nothing but defending them. At this point it has become a safety concern and the biggest manager on the property (Brandy) did not care and wasin fact perpetuating it. The front desk person called Brandy and told her I was checking out and Brandy told her to charge me for the night I was checking out even though I wasn’t staying. They charged me for three days but I stayed two. I have filed a complaint with choice hotels and I will pursue it until the end. I do believe that this person Brandy is in the appropriate position, of general manager. She clearly manages nothing nor does she Foster safety in her hotel. I recommend that you go down the street 1.5 miles to the Hyatt house which is significantly less per night and a great atmosphere and very comfortable Rooms.
I've stayed here on several occasions and there is pros and cons no matter where you stay but considering the prices between this facility and the others in the area you are getting great service for the price. This place is really cheap compared to the other hotels in the area and also offers great service compared to the others at their price point. The rooms are clean and well furnished and the amenities in the room are also great (coffee machine, ironing board, so many tv channels).
Mostly, this is a secure and decent place to stay if you are in the Willowbrook area. The people are easy to get along with, and the surrounding area has just about anything you might want to shop for. There are however a few detractions. First and foremost, the wifi. It is a public network that requires no login of any kind, and as they have no regulations, the network is usually congested to almost inoperability by gamers on their XBoxes and PlayStations. I travel full time for business, so wifi connections are critical for my job and the other projects I work on as a digital nomad. It was almost non-functional here, even with a VPN. All I heard for two weeks was excuse after excuse about how Comcast had been called, and the network statistics I performed clarified that both someone had set the router up in a reckless fashion, and they allowed people to run ramp shod over the network. If you want your credit card, banking information, and personal info stolen, this is the place to come. There was also the matter of the smoke detector dangling from the ceiling, the junction box without a lock that turned into a fight with the kids to keep them out of, and the fact I killed at least one cockroach, usually about three, every night we were there. I don’t blame the housekeeping team for the roaches; I think it was more likely the previous tenants of our room. But now they know, and they will probably fix that on their own. The mattresses need updating, and all the pillows are airline pillow flat. For the price you pay, it’s not a total loss, however I have been to other Woodsprings that are not owned by Gold Coast, and they were all much better handled. We still have not discussed the toilet I asked on the first night for a maintenance person and a priest, because I was convinced a toilet demon possessed it. You could go to the bathroom, flush it, come back an hour later, the tank would be empty. Fill it with water from the sink, flush it, come back yet another hour later, it would be fine. The tank couldn’t decide when to fill or stay filled. One of the particular staff told me when I asked for quarters they had none left. He was too into his phone to be bothered by a guest. Which explains why he did not, in a two-week time span, ever visit for the toilet with the aforementioned priest. When I asked the other girl behind the desk for the same roll of quarters in his absence, she handed them over politely and directly. Believe it or not, I have still been in much worse, but if you rely on wifi for your business, do not stay here until they decide it’s worth it to them to get this under control unless you come with your own Internet tethering capabilities.
Great place to stay for a wonderful evening. The tub was amazing! Loved the room service.
Stayed 6 nights in a one bedroom corner suite. The room was large and well appointed. Small shower room/toilet. Comfortable bed. The hotel consists of the Homewood suites and the Hampton Inn suites that share all the facilities. On the first morning the breakfast was served in the Hampton Inn area and consisted of paper plates, plastic cutlery and cups...eek we thought. Next morning a sign at the lifts directing Homewood guests one way and Hampton Inn guests the other. Crockery plates...metal cutlery. Food okay...cereal, fruit, yoghurt, juice, toast, waffle maker and a choice of 2 or 3 hot dishes. This area also hosted the evening "social" that provided hot & cold snacks and drinks...beer, wine, soft drinks. Needless to say there is always one or two people that seem to think these snacks should constitute their evening meal and proceed to over indulge. Staff pleasant and helpful. There was a water boil notification whilst we were staying as a result of a burst water pipe, it affected a large area of Houston. I feel the hotel was slow to react....no notification to guests and free bottled water only available after about 12 hrs. The ice machines were not turned off. Friends staying at a nearby hotel had notices put under their doors and 2 large bottles of water left outside their room. Apart from that we enjoyed our stay. Hotel is close to the tram service, and there is a bus stop for the free Houston bus service close by. Walking distance to several restaurants , parks and the baseball stadium.
I enjoy my stay at studio 6 every week, the managers Stephen and Mark are the best.. the staff Danisha, Latisha, maintaince Steve are all great..they make me feel warm and at ease every time I come .. the new security is way beyond awesome .. good job studio 6 👍
It was a great stay room was clean and had a good view
Our King suite was roomy, quiet and well appointed. The property is located among many restaurants and retail stores. The front desk staff performance was mixed with the Saturday morning staff exceeded all expectations, namely by a lady named Katy. She went above and beyond in meeting our request for an exception to breakfast and trying to locate the hotel's only luggage trolley. We were late for breakfast serving time by a few minutes and were hurried by having to be at a memorial service soon. Katy assembled (COVID-19) breakfast bags that were first class and more than ample. By contrast the front desk person receiving us on Friday evening was passive and didn't meet the minimum requirements for a greeter/front desk person. There was no mention of a breakfast service, hotel convenience kiosk, or even mentioning local services. such as restaurants. The Friday evening person was later lounging with another person in the lobby area with food spread out in the guest space. No attempt was made to explain or excuse the behavior, but it was unprofessional. The only other comment on the room was that there was a bare minimum of towels. Overall we were pleased with our choice of Homewood Suites in Houston Willowbrook. We've stayed in several Homewood Suites elsewhere in Texas and have been very pleased, especially before COVID-19.
Upon my arrival around 2:00 PM, the front desk attendant didn't acknowledge my presence by greeting me or at least looking at me. She continued looking down at her cell phone and said something that I didn't get. I politely waited for her to acknowledge me but instead, she continued talking looking down at her phone. My impression was that she was talking on the phone. So I continue waiting, but she repeated what she said before and this time I heard what she was saying. She was asking me about the name on the reservation. I responded by asking her "are you on the phone or talking to me?" At this time she looked at me with hateful eyes and with an attitude. To defuse a bad situation I added "I'm sorry that you've to be working for us the travelers on Thanksgiving" She didn't respond to my comments just printed my receipt (I paid ahead online) and gave my keys. She proceeded to tell me about where my room was and about breakfast. I asked her about the Hotels' Wifi to what she responded with an attitude that there wasn't a Wifi password. Later on, when my family and I were going to our thanksgiving dinner the front desk attendant gave us an evil look as we have done something terrible to her. These employees need a motivational talk before their shifts. When I was in the military I had these types of personality problems with some of nine soldiers. They can't differentiate between personal life and duty life. They can't filter their emotions. As a customer, I shouldn't have to be their napkin where they clean their hateful emotions. Please take action. But besides that unpleasant moment the place is nice, clean, and beds are soft enough for a good night of sleep. Thank you.
Convenient transportation, next to the top five children's hospitals in the United States
Great location, the hotel is very nice, the staff are all helpful and polite. The breakfast food is great, food wonderful and great selection for breakfast, the afternoon reception was okay not much selection. The rooms are nice and large. It was very convenient to the Galleria as we were able to walk there in just about 5 mins.
