Booked 2 nights last minute as we were visiting family in Giffnock and got a great price and the location was handy for town & visiting family. Dimitrios the manager acknowledged my request for a quiet family room prior to our arrival with a welcoming message. Upon arrival we were upgraded and our room was perfectly clean, well decorated, great shower and everything was to a really good standard, The staff (Dimitrios Nisa), were professional, friendly, warm and welcoming, we requested a hair dryer & iron and they arrived promptly. The room was serviced and fresh towels provided, the only niggle was that the welcome tray wasn’t replenished, so we had no milk for our morning drinks and I couldn’t get hold of anyone to request it. Great wee hotel, would happily recommend to others and return myself next time we’re visiting. Efharisto 🙏

Me and my friend stayed at the Euro Hostel Glasgow recently for couple of days. We had this place booked in 2020 but couldn go due to covid - staff were very accommodating and even though they couldn't refund us, they kept our reservation open. It was really easy to get in touch with them via email. Our room was a private bunk bed room with a bathroom. It was okay but I'd appreciate some extra drawers to be able to store our things. Also the bathroom light is annoying because it's on the sensor and it will turn off after a short time. Happened to me while I was showering so I had to open my shower doors to turn it back on. Our room was looking at the street and one of the windows didn't close properly which meant I'd be waking up due to loud noises. Also while it's great there is a heater in the room, it'd be helpful if we could regulate it's temperature as it was getting way too hot in the room. I would like to highlight some positives as well. The hostel has a very central location, perfect for getting around the city on foot. It also has good bus connections to some parts of the city that are a bit further. I also think it's genius to have little shelfs with a lamp and chargers next to each bed for phones, etc (although one of them wasn't working). There was also an option to have a buffet breakfast for additional 5£ / day. We had that one morning and it was fine with decent options.

This was our second stay here, having last been just a few months before the start of the pandemic. We arrived about an hour early due to our bus/train connections, but were delighted to be told our room was ready and we were quickly up onto the 5th floor. Had a quick look from the scary glass balcony at the end of the corridor - don't look down !! The room itself was just perfect for us and clean and not worn. The breakfast buffet is the favourite part of the HIE experience as we do not like too much to eat, but a good choice of decent quality food was available to suit us. All the staff were great and although we were worried about the breakfast room being too crowded, it was not bad, and well organised anyway. It seemed to us that great effort was being put into getting tables cleared and cleaned thouroughlly as soon as guests left them. We have only one slight grouse, however, as because my wife is an IHG Member we have been used to getting a complementary drink for us both, not just the registered member. We had had such very recently in both Edinburgh and Liverpool. The reason was very reasonably explained to us but we were still a bit disappointed. Anyway, it seemed to us the hotel was being run very well, especially as we understand it was actually full.

Location of the hotel is great and if you are driving again its ideal with the Q park opposite at a 50% discounted rate. The bar area and reception are also nice, as were the staff. However, the room we stayed in was poor, first of all we got given a run down accessible room which we did not request. The bathroom was disgusting, the shower would not get hot, and the power of it was like a watering can. The bed was hard, springs broken etc, We left the room day 2 all day to come back to clean towels but they had not even made the bed, shocking. Will never return.

Stayed here for the weekend with 2 teenagers in family room, which is not ideal probably but I loved it,a breath of fresh air. This is my first time at an Ibis budget hotel and I will definitely be coming back.I thought when booking, it's a great location, short walk from city centre, excellent price for the 3 of us,let's give it a go.Extremely pleasantly surprised. Yes the room isn't massive, smallest toilet ever, shower has good pressure but with no privacy except frosted door, but these small things didn't bother me,they were outweighed by the positives. The positives-the staff(this to me is the most important part,i dont really care about the accommodation, its about first impressions, then communicating, the people here are friendly, hard working, patient and look like they enjoy it which makes me feel good about being here,amazing)-great location(part of a small retail park near city centre)-excellent rates(triple room 3 nights for well under £300)-free parking(register car at reception to park free right outside or in the multi storey with lift up to reception)-electric car charging (as I have all electric car, this is very important, there is a pay for rapid charger in retail park outside hotel and a couple of FREE slower ones nearby, walking distance,BIG PLUS).-food(it is a continental breakfast, which I wasn't sure about but it was actually a great change from a fry up,all the fruit, bread, yoghurt, sliced meat, cheese etc was nice and fresh, proper coffee too and everything was well stocked by staff as they replaced it,plaudits.)-no coffee/tea making in room(this to me is a positive, get out your room,go downstairs and sit in the big lounge area or there is a beer garden for sitting outside inside, and have a coffee watching people and dogs go by,even strike up a conversation, bliss. Also gives the kids a chance to shower in privacy,easy.)-Dogs(we have a dog and if she was good at travelling in car,I wouldn't hesitate in taking her,and if you are worried about dogs,no need, most owners are sensible,I didn't see any issues, in fact it was great to see dogs and pet them as I was missing my dog.)-Cleanliness (can't fault the hotel, our floor was constantly being refreshed, lovely smell, hard working staff deserve a medal especially wearing masks, covid measures were followed all the time with cleaning stations everywhere, well done all.) Just to summarise, if you haven't tried an Ibis hotel, would highly recommend it,embrace the quirkiness and meet the friendly, hard working staff here who are a breath of fresh air.

What started out with great potential, ended with mostly disappointment. The apartment was clean and spacious as you would expect. TV in the lounge is a little small for the size of the room, and the one in the bedroom wouldnt pick up any signal. We were only staying for 1 night as a family. We had dinner in town and as my daughter is only 6 we were back in the apartment by 9pm. Thats when we noticed the surrounding noise. Music from surrounding bars, kegs being moved in the alleyway to which our windows faced as well as the annoying clatter of glass being emptied into the bins below us. The alleyway acts like an amplifier or noise box. You would think there would be a reasonable level of isolation from the outside noise in an apartment at this price range, however the single pane sash windows offer nothing, and in fact the one in the bedroom is broken and does not sit correctly in the frame, leaving a partial gap at the bottom. If that wasnt enough we were then woken in the night by the neighbours upstairs. I dont know if they were practising marching, working on their step count or herding elephants but the noise of the floor underfoot was ridiculous. I actually took a recording of it as I wouldnt believe it myself if I hadnt heard it. All in all a restless night with little sleep. Not exactly what we had planned. The cans of Irn Bru in the fridge were a nice touch though.

Had a lovely stay in the VIP suite recently. Nice and spacious, bed very comfortable and nice touch with a fridge in the room. We were facing central station which was quite noisy but to be expected. Had an issue with the heating in the room, but a heater was dropped off to the room. However there are only 2 UK plug sockets in the room which are next to the bed, so it was quite a stretch to get the heater plugged in and it had to be right next to the bed. The lights around the tv also kept turning on all throughout the night every time you moved in bed which was strange, as if there is some kind of motion sensor. Ended up accidentally leaving a just opened expensive brand of shower gel in the shower. Have emailed regarding this and yet to receive a response.

Location of the hotel is excellent although, like most hotels in the area, you have to park in NCP and, even with a discount, it is not cheap. Did not try the breakfast as it was not included if you booked through Booking.com! Internet was very variable and did not work for the first two days and the rooms are very small. We could only open our bathroom door part way as it hit the foot of the bed. If, however, you have limited physical ability, make sure of a room on the ground floor. There is no lift and the staircase is a tight spiral. With luggage, a porter service would have been useful.

Our stay was more pleasant than we maybe expected. Firstly it was easy to find and very handy for getting to and from Tollcross. Free parking was good, and plenty of spaces. Reception staff were friendly and extremely helpful - nothing was too much trouble, whether it was fresh towels, or topping up other items needed. Comfortable room and, despite a busy location, very little noise. We had dinner in the hotel on 3 occasions. For easiness. Good varied menu and drinks and good value. Service was good despite restaurant being busy at times. Staff were under pressure but kept smiling and did their best. There's also KFC and McDonalds right outside for fast food. Hotel met our requirements and was good value. We would stay here again if going to Tollcross. It's just so handy.

You can be too cool for your own good. Sometimes someone, something or somewhere is so achingly trendy that they end up being mildly annoying or intimidating. In hotel-land being too cool is almost as dangerous as pretentiousness as a means of putting off customers. Who wants to stay in a hotel where you look around you and worry whether you belong there or not. It doesn’t make for a relaxing stay. Moxy is going for the uber trendy, but luckily it doesn’t go too far. It has a relaxed vibe, but everything is polished enough to ensure you don’t feel that you’re staying in a youth hostel, because the prices definitely don’t feel like that. Watt you have is a modern take on a boutique hotel. Modern and retro influences mean that thirty and forty somethings are immersed in nostalgia, whilst still provided with the necessities of flat screen TV, free WiFi and quality soap. Moxy Glasgow is well located, one stop from Queen Street Low Level gets you to High Street which is literally next door, or it’s a simple walk through the Merchant City to get to the shops, or you could stay for the bars and restaurants. The room was quiet, the bed comfortable and everything was clean and in good repair. The service was slick and professional, but friendly and welcoming. All of the other functions ran with the efficiency you’d expect from the big Marriott brand who own the Moxy brand. Glasgow is not short of places to rest your head if you’re up visiting, but the Moxy nicely fills a niche you never knew existed. It’s not budget, it’s not luxury, it’s not too flash and it’s not shabby. It’s just cool. But not too cool…

The surrounding area is under construction. The actual check-in is the novotel at the corner. According to the service staff, the conditions are better than ibis. The store is too early. Recommended to eat Scottish flirt hot pot restaurant It is said that it is very popular in the local area, very delicious buffet

We arrived on a Thursday evening and staying till the Sunday morning, At first glance it looked like a ok hotel and was greeted with open arms, we was given our keys to our room and off we went, The room was ok (we where not expecting the ritz ) but the bed was so small so we asked for an upgrade, which was given at no extra cost (thank you) Now we went for dinner The place was packed with children ( just our bad timing not due to the hotel) and they was on a buffet , but we chose to go for the menu We orders a soup stater and a main corse After 30 minutes the soups came out we took a spoon and tucked in Unfortunately the soup was flat cold (my wife’s white wine was warmer ) The waiting staff was on the ball and took them away After hearing a few dings of a microwave the soups returned (plates was hot soup was like warm) Then the mains After a few bites of what was not fresh fish I had to leave it They don’t do house keeping unless you’d any more than 3 nights and then you have to ask We paid 100€ a night for the hotel (including breakfast) we had problems through out due to the hotel being old and out dated The staff was great so 👍 to you guys but they could be a lot of improvement in the kitchen and hotel rooms

Read books in Gera for two years. Every week I go shopping with my classmates through the doubletree. I held my dad for a few nights during the graduation ceremony. It is indeed the Hilton Hotel. . The service attitude is really good. Much better than the few hotels I stayed in London. Facilities are new and rooms are large. The front desk is fat! The elder brother is very handsome, thank you Mr. Robert Anton for helping us print the scanned file. Helped my dad with a lot of work. Next to it is the pedestrian street in the city center. There is a hot pot (seems to be closed). It is convenient for M & amp; S 100 points to lean over

The room was not available until 3.00pm even though we arrived at 12.15pm. The room was for a disabled person even though neither of us is disabled at all. When I queried this at reception they very politely said "you didn't book it directly with us so you get what we give you"... The room was very hot and when we left at 7.00pm to go to our concert I put the aircon on high at 10 degree's to cool it down. When we returned at 10.45pm the room was even hotter than when we left. I called reception and the duty manager came straight away to correctly set the air con. After 2mins he said "oh - its not working but I can't give you another room as we are fully booked". I will get someone to bring you a fan and see if that helps". The fan they sent was huge and very noisy indeed. The room as about 25 degrees and just to hot to stay in so we decided to leave and go home rather than have a sweaty uncomfortable night there. I went to reception all packed and ready to leave at 11.15pm. The duty manager said you don't have to go as I have a cancellation in a suite.... (he didn't have one 20 mins earlier and who cancels a booking at 11.30pm at night !) I was very unhappy and so told him no thanks I am packed and leaving now - he offered me a credit note for when we came again and I laughed at his optimism and refused. It was a genuine relief to get out of there. Due to the dreadful experience I then had a 5hr drive back to the Midlands. I will never stay in a Crown Plaza hotel again.

Absolute disgrace of a place. Yes the location may be great for SEC and Hydro events but the venue itself is terrible. Checked in for a pre booked 3 night stay to attend a conference last week. On check in was informed that the restaurant was closed. No compensation offered, was just told there are snacks available at reception (pot noodle or crisps). Allocated a room on the 2nd floor and told I would have to use the stairs as the lift is out of order. Organised an early breakfast (restaurant open for breakfast only as they only have a breakfast chef) only to arrive at pre arranged time (15 minutes earlier than normal breakfast start) to be told nothing available so I would have to come back at normal time. Room was small and in need of a deep clean. Stains on walls, shower hanging from holder, plugs not working. Had I booked this hotel myself I would have left. Went to the hotel bar after a conference dinner to watch the football on TV and the Batman informed us he would be closing the bar at 22:30 as he was back on shift at 06:30. Not an issue until the football finished at 21:45 and he decided to turn TV off and close. Not very professional at all. Breakfast is 07:00 to 10:00 but when we went down at 08:45 we were told all the food had been eaten as they had more people than they realised. Surely they know how many guests are staying. Never had any housemaid visit the room. No clean towels, no bin emptied or bedding change. Do yourselves a favour and stay well away

The hotel is like a newly renovated hotel with a small door in the city centre. The location is good. It is within walking distance of George Square, Princes Street, Queen Station and coach station. Next to the hotel is a bar, like a hotel, the day the front desk said to go to the bar to eat and 10% off. I have already paid the fee online, but I have to take out the card and record the card number. The front desk said that it is only for confirmation and will not deduct the money. There is no deduction, but there is always a sense of insecurity in the leakage of information. Early arrival, free luggage storage, hotel elevator, narrow corridor, room space is OK, the double bed is small, and there are no two single beds, the room is adjustable, do not understand the size of the Europeans, why the bed is this size? The bar next to it is very awkward, but it seems to have stopped after 12:00, because it is too tired, not affected by the bar.

Hotel in a good central location. Room decor nice (def not bland) and we had two double beds which were a good size and comfy. Drinks and caramel wafers in fridge was a nice touch. Bathroom was good, roomy shower. Staff on the whole were friendly, one receptionist could have been a bit cheerier and welcoming but the rest were nice. Breakfast was ok, nothing to get excited about but sufficed. Staff at breakfast were ‘mostly nice and friendly, especially the older gent. Didn’t use the bar or restaurant so can’t comment on that. I would stay again.

Positives Central location Nice bar area Friendly staff Lift Negatives Windows didn’t shut properly therefore Noisy Grubby Rubbish evident from previous guests No 28 inch tv as advertised Old fashioned tiny Tv only had 2 working channels Bathroom repairs done shoddily I was in a twin room no 107 and paid £92 for the privilege (I booked about 8/10 weeks in advance too). Although there were 2 sets of double glazing the outer ones were open and I couldn’t close them. When I went out I asked that someone went and did it but I assume one was stuck as it was still open on my return. The inner double glazing appeared broken and the tilt and turn window was hanging off one hinge. Therefore the room was noisy and I can only thank my lucky stars that the local bar underneath closed at 12. The bedding was clean and on the surface the room appeared clean but as you will see from my uploaded photos, there were stains on the skirtings and walls, leaks and there was an empty water bottle behind the bedside cabinet and bits of paper (from a sugar wrapping) on the floor. The bathroom had bits of sealant replaced messily, grout was dirty and the bath panel had seen better days. A friend stayed just round the corner for £65 with breakfast included and had a great night. I’ll be letting her book my hotels in future. This room should not be rented out again until it’s been upgraded. We wouldn’t put up with that quality from a B&B on ‘Four in a bed’ so why should a big Glasgow city centre hotel get away with such poor quality. Very disappointing.

The location is very good, right in the city center. The only downside is that the air conditioner makes me very uncomfortable. It's hot and cold. In winter, the thermostat adjustment is a comfortable electric heater, but this price is still quite cost-effective. It is suitable for short-term stay, and it is acceptable to stay for a day or two.

When we got to our room we discovered only one plug socket worked, we reported this and they got someone in to check the fuse box which turned out to be the issue, only another socket worked (so 2 in total) but this was fine because we were just concerned about charging our phones. Staff were friendly and nice to chat to, not sure on names but it was the young woman at reception and the man with glasses were who we spoke to. They did offer to provide us with another room but we decided not to based on the fact more than 1 socket worked and we had a lot of stuff with us so moving was a hassle. Some points i’d like them to take on board would be; - I agree with the comments around the check in being a bit intimidating, have to sign something that says if anything goes missing from your room they aren't liable, but Im guessing thats for the shared rooms not the double suites as these are locked with your own room card (maybe more clarity around this for guests would be helpful) because I did worry about this myself and had to pay to put my bags at reception just so i was assured they were safe but then realised after that this probably just applies to when you’re sharing in rooms with a few others. - The bedding did have some blood stains on them and weren't the cleanest, i didnt realise until later in my stay because the stains were so far in the corner of the duvet/sheet. - The shower fills up really fast, blocked drains maybe? (Room 302 i think i was in) But i had to turn it off and wait for 5 minutes before continuing to shower incase i flooded the place. -Netflix stops working on the tv randomly, it worked on our phones so was definitely something to do with the tv. We noticed it needed a few updates so spent time doing this so maybe the guests can be informed of this if they mention similar issues. Over all was a good stay and i’d stay here again. Its a good hotel for younger people or people who enjoy events in the city and dont mind it being a bit lively. Its right across the road from an old school which i found fascinating and had a good view of, the walk into the centre wasn't far and the staff were nice to chat to. Its a short walk from plenty bars and restaurants/takeaways too. Unless you’re living in the hotel room and not venturing out, the issues i mentioned above aren't major. Thanks

The strike at Heathrow Airport resulted in the cancellation of our flight. We changed other flights to Edinburgh first, and took a taxi to go to Glasgow overnight. It was already at 3 am, and we asked for Ctrip to help, the front desk and the manager have been Waiting for us, there was no room in the hotel that night. They sent us to the Hilton Hotel for free for one night and provided breakfast. We picked us up at noon the next day and returned to the hotel for free. We prepared a lot of desserts and drinks for us. Really very moved, thank you Li Wei, this is our trip for a month, travel to four countries in Europe, the most intimate hotel in 11 cities, leaving us an unforgettable memory.

Good in every way. I ca n’t add an extra bed, but I ’ll give you two quilts, and I will also give you breakfast the next day. For 3 consecutive days, I am truly amazing at checkout. Maybe some people think the location is not good, but it is really close to the city center, it is just over 10 minutes walk, both train stations are within walking distance, and I will stay here next time

Leonardo Inn, Glasgow West End I have just completed four weeks of radiotherapy at the Beatson Hospital and during that time have stayed at the Leonardo Inn which is situated very close to the hospital complex. Being away from home for a month could have been an ordeal but in fact it was the opposite because the staff at the Leonardo Inn could not have been more friendly or helpful. My room was attractively decorated, clean and warm with a bath and large double bed. I slept well every night. I also enjoyed my breakfasts and evening meals at the Inn and the atmosphere in the dining room was always friendly and relaxed. An Italian menu is offered in the evening but each day there is also the choice of a ‘special’ such as stew or fish and chips which were very welcome in the wintry weather. The Inn is next to a food shop and a car park. A bus stop across the road travels a short journey to the City Centre whilst the Botanic Gardens are just a mile along the Great Western Road. A lovely touch is the reed-fringed duckpond beside the Inn which makes a nice, relaxing stroll after an evening meal. Thank you again to all staff for your good cheer and great service.

We visit Glasgow regulalry and have stayed in some lovely (& not so lovely) hotels, the Kimpton Blythswood exeeded our expectations. We dropped our luggage in at 13:30 and they advised us they would call "should" our room be ready before 3pm. We used the time to have a little wonder and coffee in Waterstones. When we arrived back at 3pm, the check in was super quick and our luggage was in the room. As we are club members of IHG, we were greeted with a hand written welcome card in our room, nice touch! Room was beautiful and spottless, bigger than the stadard we had booked. Mini bar stocked, as well as a couple of free extras. The shower was nice and poweful, and the toiletries arevery good quality. We headed downstairs for the welcome drinks in the foyer, greeted immediately and drinks served. We had a family member join us for a birthday celebration and despite her not being a guest, she was given a welcome drink too. The restaurant is beautfully furbished, bright, welcoming and high class. We thoroughly enjoyed the meals, starters were scallaps, trout, pigs cheek, followed by duck, monkfish and hake. We were given complimentary prosecco, another nice touch. Finished off the meal with cheese cake and meringue, washed down with an irish coffee (warning, it's strong!). The waiter brought over a hapy birthday iced plate, another nice touch. We had a great nights sleep, bed was very soft (if you need a firm mattress, I suggest you mention this) and despite our room being near the lift, it was surprisingly quiet. In the morning we made our way to the spa in our dressing gowns and slippers, luckily we followed a couple of guests who knew the way (could do with better signage). The spa was lovely, couple of rooms were still a bit cold but we had a great time. We had our breakfast served straight to our room, the cooked breakfast was first class! Checkout was fast and easy. We would like to say thanks to all of the lovely staff, great service and we had a lovely time. We will be coming to stay again for sure.

A family-run hotel (always a plus in my book) with attentive, courteous hosts and clean, spacious rooms. It is located very near to the excellent Kelvingrove Park where you can always go for a refreshing walk. The city centre is a good 20 minutes walking distance through a very pleasant part of the city. If you don't feel like walking, the bus stop is hardly 100 metres away. Extra points for the wonderful Scottish breakfast included in the price. The only reason I'm not giving it the highest rating is the lack of a lift, so if your room is on the second floor like ours, it is a three-floor climb from the breakfast room, which is downstairs from Reception. (There again, you can look at it as an opportunity to keep fit ;) ) All in all, highly recommended!

Booked this online via the hotel direct. Two night city break. Quite hard to find first off as it is literally a door between two shops. The rest of the building seems to be admin offices for British Rail. Lift upto the 6th floor wondering what on earth I'd booked. The hotel is the whole of the 6th floor, one corridor with rooms either side. What at first seemed might be a bit dodgy turned out to be delightful. Friendly staff, modern, super clean rooms and lots of attention to detail. Our room had still and sparkling water to choose from and, shock horror, a plug next to the bed to charge your phone! Just off reception there was a selection of home made cakes and ice cream all free of charge. I think the real bonus was the room was super dark and quiet. Amazing for a city centre hotel and this hotel is very central indeed. Lovely breakfast and I deal with the local multi story car park. Glasgow? I wouldn't stay anywhere else. Well done The Grasshopper Hotel

I’m a platinum elite IHG member with 19 years on my card. This was the worst all round full service holiday inn in that 19 years. On arrival we went to our room and straight away the sofa bed was not full size. Really only suitable for one. Our toilet had already been used and was not clean. Went down to reception and was upgraded to an “ executive suite”. This was a double room in the loft with the same size sofa bed. The sofa bed was like it had been used in the BBC series “ Tenko” the mattress ( haha) so thin. Really not a suite and had no lift to that floor so you take lift to 4 then stairs to your executive suite haha. The bathroom door had no lock so that’s great we’ll sing in the toilet then. Didn’t notice until we went to bed that the midget sofa bed had single pillows. Drinks in the bar last night the bar staff called time at 10:15. Please understand this is an apparent “ full service” hotel so surely if residents are in the bar the bar has to stay open. What about room service drinks??. Breakfast. Went in no one at station so sat at ONLY clean table. Then the breakfast commandant literally frogmarched us back to the desk to “ check your room number” and then says “ let me see if I’ve got a table for you” and takes us back to the one we were sat at. As it was the only clean one there why not just ask us our room number at the table. Never ever felt so unwelcome in a holiday inn. It was like guests were a nuisance.

Efharisto 🙏
