If you are looking for a traditional yet stylish "ryokan" style hotel not far from Tokyo, I can not recommend Nipponia Sawara enough. Staying at this hotel was beyond amazing, and it was one of the most memorable experiences during my honeymoon! First of all, the staff is INCREDIBLY nice, and so genuine. Getting to know and speak with Satoru-san, one of the hotel managers, was such a pleasure. He and his staff tended to all of my wife and my needs during our short stay and truly made the experience memorable. We opted for a special large size room that was a few blocks away from the main hotel and boy, was it worth it!! The room was MASSIVE and had all of the accouterments and style of a traditional room that you'd see in a Kurosawa film, mixed with some delightful modern conveniences. The bathroom was AWESOME!! You get the full size wooden tub which allows you to completely submerge yourself all the way up to your neck while sitting in it, if you are so inclined, and the temperature and water level is maintained throughout your entire bath, whether you are in there for 5 minutes or an hour. The water never gets cold and no matter how much spills out over the sides and into the conveniently placed drains, the level always stays consistent due to constant refilling. My wife and I were hooked, this was by far the nicest bathtub ever. And it's large enough to fit two people plus plenty of space for bottles of sake, if you catch my drift ;) If you stay here you MUST opt in for their 8 course dinner and traditional breakfast. OH MY GOD the food!!! It was oishii beyond comparison, and each course was so meticulously crafted, and the staff so attentive to your every need, we really felt like royalty while dining. If the restaurant doesn't have any Michelin stars, then it deserves at least one! And to finish off the amazing experience, the town of Sawara is quite delightful. It's not far from Narita airport, the river that runs through it is lovely, and a 10-15 minute drive away there is a beautiful shrine to explore as well as an authentic onsen with the hot water bubbling out from a serene pool surrounded by shimmering rocks and verdant nature. I recommend checking out the local famous tea house and ordering their toast with red bean paste spread along with green tea, then walk a few more blocks to the local sake brewery and try out various samples before purchasing a bottle or two (or three or four). Hands down one of the best hotels I've ever stayed at, and I will never forget the kindness and hospitality of Satoru-san and his amazing staff. Arigato gozaimasu, Satoru-san!!

The manager Ken was wonderful. This is a real Japanese hostel with not many foreign guests, as not many foreigners visit Sawara. I was a bit worried about the floor beds in our private room at first, but they provided one of the most comfortable cozy nights ever. We stayed at other traditional Japanese sleeping hotels and always said they were not as comfortable as Coedo. It was of course spotless as everywhere in Japan and with a great location, nearest to the train station you could get with still being in "town". If you're not interested in Tokyo, but need a place near the airport, I would highly recommend this lovely town and this hostel. Also, it only costs about $10 to get here, so you can activate your JR railpass for the next day and not pay $38 to get into Tokyo and waste a day on the pass. (also if you can get through customs by 9am, Narita airport offers a free tour of this town, I highly suggest it.)

The breakfast was very good. I opened a twelve room for me and my friends to sit and eat. The decoration is very old. There are a lot of interesting Showa items in the first floor and the corridor. There are also many signature sneakers with Kashima antlers. And jersey. It is also close to JR, but unfortunately there are too few trains at Chaolai Station. And this time Shenhua was able to take one point away from Kashima Stadium, which is very satisfying and a perfect journey.

How about it? The hotels near the airport are very big, so the room space is adequate, but the facilities are very old. I have stayed twice before at other airport hotels. I think the facilities are ok, so I decided to check his home without looking too much. It's very close to the airport. Unfortunately, in the past few days, it was raining and I couldn't walk to the airport and then the disadvantages appeared. Without the shuttle bus to AEON and Ole, we must use the hotel's car. It used to seem very troublesome. Other hotels have direct flights. Next time I need to check more.
