First the good: It's clean and elegant. It's located in the commercial section of Hyde Park, so restaurants abound and it's a short walk and bus ride to downtown. Hyde Park itself is a wonderful neighborhood, so you can spend your stay touring this one neighborhood and the lakefront and be satisfied. Now the bad: Water costs money! According to the front desk they only have 16 oz. bottles of Evian for $5 a bottle! That's absurd and really unfortunate for an otherwise classy and pleasant experience. Offering people "complimentary" tea and coffee, while not providing filtered water to make said tea and coffee is not classy. The wifi security is questionable. I connected to their wifi without a password, so make sure you have a VPN on your device. The room I had was at street level so it can get a bit noisy. Bring earplugs if you're a light sleeper.

This is the second time staying, and I have nothing to complain about the hotel. The booking made by Ctrip was very unpleasant. I prepaid the room fee when I made the reservation. When I checked in for the first time, the front desk said that they had not received the reservation, and I needed to prepay the full room rate with a credit card at the front desk. Later, I contacted Ctrip's customer service and checked in smoothly. I encountered this situation again when I checked in for the second time. This time Ctrip did not pay the room fee to the hotel before I checked in. It was midnight domestic time when I checked in. I couldn't wait for the domestic work and they paid the hotel for the room. Check in again, so there is no alternative but to pre-authorize the full room rate with credit card again at the front desk. The trouble is that it took about a month for the US pre-authorization to be revoked. In short, I was still very dissatisfied with many international long-distance calls to Ctrip. I have been using Ctrip for more than ten years, and I have been upgraded to a super member. As a result of the communication, my impression of Ctrip is really discounted. In the future, foreign hotels will no longer be booked on Ctrip.

I was a little worried when I booked this. No worries!! Room was clean, bathroom spotless, towels were fine, clean bedding. Yeah carpet wasn’t super new but it wasn’t orange shag either. Clean. Front desk Juan was AMAZING. Super nice. Free shuttle to downtown large and perfect. Left 4 times a day. We checked in on a Thur and caught last shuttle to downtown at 6:30. Free. Dropped us off anywhere downtown. No shuttle back at 1 am Friday but Uber back was $14. Shuttle lady was helpful friendly. Booked through Agoda paid $125 for night w all taxes n fees. Came w free parking too. Agoda booking was smooth. Large dorm fridge in room. View of Lake Michigan cool.

This hotel has definitely seen better days. There are obvious signs of age and wear on the walls, carpets, and fixtures, and this is the first two-story hotel WITHOUT an elevator I've ever seen! If you can't handle stairs, be sure to request a first-floor room. The bed was adequately comfortable, the sheets and towels clean, and the facilities all clean, if somewhat worse for wear. The staff made up for the shabbiness by being courteous, helpful, and willing to assist me. Don't expect a luxury resort here, but the room was acceptable, clean, and the staff excellent.

I appreciate Greg and the hotel for several reasons. Mainly because the hotel has a no party rule and noise complaint rule, that meant quiet evenings! I had two rooms and was able to pick them, so our teens room were close. The rooms are bright and cozy, I'm a taller, bigger guy so this was a plus. The bathroom is a bit small however. Our room had a fridge and 2 sinks which was convenient. The parking lot wraps around the building, so there is plenty of space. The staff I interacted with were all friendly. Breakfast is not included but there is a snack bar, bar, Starbucks and restaurant on site. The pool wasn't bad, better for smaller numbers of people. No hot tub but for teens to relax or swim, it was fine. I'd visit again, they have several ballrooms and I can see hosting an event or two there. This was a NYE staycation and was worthwhile.

I felt impelled to write today to express my appreciation of Katie Royce the food and beverage manager at the Chicago property. Being a lifetime premium platinum elite member, it takes a lot to impress me. I made a reservation for high tea with my niece visiting from LA over the summer. I asked if the server Anar I know and love was scheduled that day. She called me back and arranged for him to be there the day I had asked. This is amazing as during Covid I hadn’t been to the property in over a year and a half. When I arrived with my guest, Katie was there to introduce herself and welcome us. The executive chef also came out and explained our exquisite tea box items as well. It was so nice seeing the server Anar and catching up on old times as well as hearing about all the new things happening in his life. We really get treated like royalty from him and everyone there! It was such a nice experience and the fact that the executive chef personally created all the food items around our dietary exclusions was really amazing! We were treated like we were the only ones there and Anar even reserved the table that we like to sit at. This was above and beyond a 5 star experience! This was so personalized for me there was nothing more to add. Where high teas at other hotels are timed and the same old items, we sat at our leisure and no one was rushing us or suggesting we leave. The tea box items were unique one bring the salmon ceviche! I love the staff here and will continue to visit as much as I can! They earned my business for good! Katie, Anar and the food and beverage staff do not disappoint! I can’t wait for my next visit this spring!

I came to Chicago for a week to celebrate my birthday and celebrate a new job. Upon arriving at the hotel, not only was the lobby immaculately clean, but the front desk staff (Kelly & Raquel) were incredibly nice. During my stay, I had the pleasure of meeting both guest services managers MK and Diogo who have put every other hotel manager to shame. Not only were they incredibly nice, but they really wanted to know what would make my stay more pleasant. There was an issue on my last day where there was an issue with room service and MK rectified the problem for me immediately. Additionally, the front desk staff Kelly and Raquel were especially helpful, they gave me great advice on restaurants, shopping areas, and places to go in Chicago. EMC2 is a unique experience with its robots (for small room service tasks), to the great restaurant and bar, and its location on Magnificent Mile. I recommend EMC2 to anyone who is new to Chicago, not just for the unique experience here, but for how amazing the staff is at making you feel comfortable and fufilling any needs you may have. I want to thank MK and Diogo again for making my stay extra special. Their level of attention to detail with guests should be recognized as it is not common, but beyond appreciated!

I didn't have a bad experience but I was shocked at what wasn't included. Like towels. We had two bath towels for the first two days. I mean, not a problem, but not exactly the service one expects at a place like this. There was a mysterious drip stain on the bathroom wall and another on the door of the bathroom. There was no fitted sheet on the bed. There was a loud crash in the middle of the night on our last night there and after that there was a loud whistling that came through the cracks in the wall. Also, I would expect windows. There were no windows. There was a glass wall that had holes in it that created a whistling howl that sounded like a fire alarm, but no window. So no fresh air allowed, right on the water. Seems like poor planning but whatever. There were two bottles of water available for purchase in our room. That's it. No mini bar. No vending machines, no way to get anything to drink other than the water from the bathroom tap. But we'd have no where to put the water anyway because we were given exactly two tiny paper cups to last the entire stay. There was continental breakfast...for like $20 or something ridiculous. Not so much as a cup of coffee, except the single serve machine, but I prefer to drink coffee from a cup and not brew it directly into my mouth, so I was out of luck there too. We could get a bottle of water....if we go downstairs and get it...and pay a lot for it.... I guess if all you want is a bed and a toilet and a tv, you're good. But why anyone would want to stay here unless they had no other option, is beyond me. Maybe the other reviewers are used to spending so much for so little, but not me. I only stayed there because we went to Golden Con, but after I got the rooms the con announced another hotel was the official hotel and so none of the extra events were in this hotel. I'm guessing that's why it was so bad, since they weren't "official" they didn't prepare or something. But the AC was so loud anyway it wouldn't have mattered. It sounded like a washing machine was constantly running in the room if we turned the air on. I barely slept. At least I could look out the window at the giant boat or football stadium style lights that were right in front of our window.

The location is very good - short way ro walk from the subway and in walking distance for most places in Chicago. The reception area is modern and very nice, and the staff were nice and efficient. The Wifi was functionning well. The room was very plain. There is almost nowhere to hang your clothes, and not enough places to hang your towells in the bathroom if they are to be dried - which is important as they don’t do your room if you stay less than four nights. There is no fridge and no coffemaker in the room (there is free coffee and tea in the reception in the morning). The aircondition was challenging - it either got too cold, or it was too hot. Obviously something was not right when 69 was freezing and 70 was steaming… The gym was well equipped, but the water dispenser was disconnected, even though the hotel on their web-site tell you there is water available.

Business trip, the hotel is 20 minutes walk away from the meeting place, very convenient, the hotel is fairly clean, hot water is provided. The hotel is close to Chinatown and there are supermarkets and small Chinese restaurants nearby. The consumption is not high. Close to the subway station, a few minutes. The only drawback is that it looks like the countryside, a few kilometers from the city center, but it's a thousand miles apart.

Our girls’ theatre weekend stay at the Cambria was great! I had reserved two rooms, one for one night, and one for two nights. Julie at the front desk was VERY helpful and understanding when I showed up first, and didn’t even know the last name of the folks in the other room, as they were a friend of my adult daughter and her mom. Julie arranged to hold my bag until they arrived, and then got us into their room well before normal check-in time, so we could ditch the luggage and find some lunch. Julie came through again with a recommendation to Petterinos, which was less than a block away and very good. This hotel is all about location, being in the same building as the Nederlander Theatre, so we had to walk only about 30 feet from door to door for our first evening’s show. The Sunday matinee show we attended was a couple of blocks away at the CIBC theatre. Off-site parking was just around the corner, but worked well, and at $38 was about the going rate (nowhere near the $70+/night the Marriott had quoted). The rooms were nice, and clean. We did have to ask for extra towels, as they didn’t have enough for a 2-night stay (no housekeeping), but a quick stop at the front desk fixed that. We loved the game room, and killed some time before our matinee show playing cards there. The purpose of this review is mostly to brag on Julie, who was one of the nicest front-desk staff I’ve ever run across. The Choice Hotels website only lets you review if they invite you, and I did not receive an invitation.), so I'm writing it here. Yes, it was almost $200/night with taxes, but it was in a great location in downtown Chicago, where that price isn’t uncommon. When one factors in the price of parking, the rate is much better than similar hotels.

If you are looking for a family friendly place look no further. I brought my teenage daughter her for her birthday and it was perfect location for downtown Chicago. From the moment we checked in the staff was superb!! They were extremely friendly from check in to breakfast. Ismeta was the morning hotestess and she was the perfect start to our day. She just made everyone feel like family. She was friendly and helpful and her bright, friendly smile just made you feel so welcome. We will definately be back. If I had to choose to pay a little more to stay here or another hotel it would worth the extra money! The rooms were clean and the bed were comfy. It was the perfect choice. We will definately be back.

This is my fourth stay at this hotel and I have always found the employees to be kind and helpful and everything working without a hitch. However, this time around my room had a problem with the thermostat and heating, and although it's March, the last two days have been very chilly, and the heater was emitting cool air most of the time, rather than warm air, even when I turned the thermostat up to a high temperature. This was very bothersome to me (I didn't want to change rooms since otherwise my room was perfect), so I talked to the front desk about this, and Mirsad, the assistant engineer of the hotel, was in my room ASAP and checked the thermostat, the unit itself, left to get a part, showed immense concern for my well-being (I was cold, especially at night), and took care of the problem. I was impressed by this employee's professionalism and the effort he made to ensure the heating/cooling unit and thermostat were working well. I have yet another three days here at the hotel, and my room is now warm and comfy. Excellent customer service, which is what it's all about.

The hotel is very clean and tidy. The biggest feature of the room is the floor-to-ceiling windows. The scenery outside the window is very clear. Although there is no bustling Michigan Avenue, it is still good! There is a bar on the 18th floor of the hotel, not big. The hotel has a restaurant on the left side of the hotel entrance, named Somerset, in the room can also book this restaurant in the room dinning, about twenty or thirty minutes to deliver the meal to the room. I really like the bathroom's minimalist wash suit, which is white tea, especially fragrant and comfortable. Shopping, dining and entertainment are nearby. Not far from there are Chinese restaurants, such as Imperial Lamian, Old Sichuan, MingHin Cuisine, Shanghai Terrance, which are just a few minutes from Uber. Royal chef and old Sichuan are very popular! It is also 10 minutes from the hotel to the famous scenic spot Michigan Avenue, which is also close to Navy Pier and Millennium Park. The fly in the ointment is that the sound insulation in the hotel is not good, the guests from the opposite side of the room can hear the opening of the door, but the overall is good!

The lobby is beautiful and fun. This is where the 4 star ratings end. Check IN: I ask for what upgrades were available. I always upgrade at the hotel when i book with priceline. At first she said they were sold out for the weekend nothing was available .I had to reiterate, I am willing to pay I don't want to be stuck in a closet somewhere. She insisted again they were sold out but then said you can upgrade to lake view for $50 a night. So we took it. Worth it....the view is beautiful. Room: The room is a motel 6 covered in Ikea furniture and wall paper. Signs of wear and tear everywhere as if the rooms aren't maintained at all. Sloppy caulking, sloppy repainting. Scuff and bangs on all furniture. And the bed gets a 1 star. The sheets actually felt like paper I could barely sleep. Bathroom: Fixtures in the bathroom seemed better up to par however the toilet paper was literally see through. Here comes the UGLY....They are having intermittent issues with their plumbing so when we checked in the water was coming out BROWN! I had to call downstairs and they told me to let the water run for a few minutes to clear the pipes. I expect this to be immediately communicated at check-in. It cleared up by the night but talk about shock. Service: Service to the room was quick. Internet and water bottles free when you are Marriot members. Lobby Bar: Vegas prices for their drinks. Almost double the cost for what I paid at the Hyatt during the week.

I have been visiting the Freehand Chicago for several years & have always loved the hotel for many reasons. Decent pricing, great atmosphere, fab bar & cafe, excellent location - the list goes on & on. However, I will say that after my most recent stay I was sad to realize that this hotel just isn't what it used to be. The seating area reeked of cigarettes, to be brief - our room was showing a lot of wear (scuffed walls, broken curtain, dusty, etc.), Cafe Integral was closed which was not mentioned at the time of booking our stay. It was just a bit of a disappointment to see that they have let the place go.

I had booked a last minute trip to Chicago's Virgin Hotel to spend some time with my daughters. From the first minute we walked in the service was impeccable. This continued throughout our stay everytime we walked in or out of the hotel (many times). The location was perfect to shops, restaurants, Riverwalk, beautiful architecture, and many other visual attractions. The only downfall to our visit was it was Covid season and many restrictions to places we could go to watch the football game and/or eat as the restaurants were all closed in the hotel. That was a safety issue for the guests so it was appreciated they weren't open. The one thing I'd recommend is for them to have a list of what was open nearby and what was offered (dine-in, delivery, take out, etc.). We were able to find places on our own, but it would have saved us the time from searching/calling around. Overall, I would definitely recommend this hotel!!

We traveled with three young children (6, 4, 1) and booked via Booking.com. We felt that the room was both spacious & thoughtfully designed. We loved that there was a separate room for the beds. It made the space feel bigger, and it made it easier for us to keep the kids away from the bed area during snack/meal time (all we had to do was close the bedroom door). We also loved the surface area that wrapped around the sleeper sofa in the main living room. We thought this worked better than having side tables since the whole family could sit around on the sofa and had our water bottles right behind us on this surface area. We LOVED the amenities provided inside the room: 1.) refrigerator and microwave; 2.) a desk/table with 4 chairs & a standing light; 3.) and a sleeper sofa. We were able to take restaurant leftovers to our room & eat them at the table. Also, husband ended up having to do a little catch-up office work while we were on this trip, so once again, the table/desk & light came in super handy! We also loved buffet style breakfast time! There were various breakfast items available for everybody in the family: hot, cold, & packaged items. Our kids can be so picky with food when we travel, so we very much appreciated this complimentary breakfast. The location of this hotel was perfect! The parking garage was right below the hotel, so even if we arrived in the rain, we could unload our car and transport all of our bags all the way to our hotel room without getting exposed to the weather. The hotel was located right in the heart of the fun downtown Chicago area, so we could get to all the fun places on foot & stroller in 10-30 minutes. We would definitely stay at the Embassy Suites Downtown Magnificent Mile again!! We didn't get a chance to use the heated indoor pool on this trip, but we would try next time. Cleanliness could be improved, especially in the bathroom area: bathtub drain, toilet. Not a deal breaker for us since we have young kids who make a mess all the time. We stayed on the 6th floor, which was the first floor above the atrium/lobby. When it got busy/loud in the lobby/atrium, we could hear some of the noise if we sat in the main living room area (right by the door to our suite). However, once we were inside the bedroom (which was the furthest away from the main door of our suite, and was separated by another door) we couldn't really hear anything.

The location is really the only reason to stay here. Location is fabulous, and near many options for dining and shopping. Do not pay extra for a view - because there is no view. Our king size room had just enough room to walk around the bed….and not much more. The bathroom was perhaps two feet from the bed - no joke. The bathroom and shower were nice given the small room. The breakfast was fine. There was supposed to be happy hour in the lobby on Friday and Saturday, but they cancelled it for some reason. I never did hear why…. They also only clean the room upon request. We had an extremely helpful staff member upon arrival, so two thumbs up to him. I probably wouldn’t stay at this particular hotel again….

This property is in a good location – walking distance to many things we wanted to do. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful and appeared to be following Covid protocols. The room was clean, but a bit on the small side. Housekeeping had left us with just 1 set of towels so we had to request more. The bathroom set-up was a little odd. When on the commode, my knees were cracking up against the tub, and I’m only 5’2” – a taller person would be most uncomfortable! And there was no place to hang a towel anywhere near the sink. Breakfast was what we expect at a Fairfield – a decent selection of both hot and cold foods. My husband has elite status and it would have been nice if we had been upgraded. The hotel was nowhere near full, so it would have been a nice gesture. Overall everything was fine – we’d stay again.

Upon arrival, the front desk attendants were super helpful about parking, the facility, breakfast, and even helped up to not leave one of our bags while unloading. Both of our suites were super clean and comfy, with room to prepare snacks, a small cupboard, wet bar, study table, couch with a chaise, multi-task coffee table, TV on the medium-size dresser, dividing wall, comfortable king-size bed. Breakfast was hot--scrambled eggs, sausage, oatmeal with toppings, big fresh English muffins, bagels, cereal, etc. With covid protocol, we took it up to our room to eat. Also because of covid, the fitness center and pool were closed. You could hear the planes overhead from O'Hare (muffled) and the south side of the property overlooks the expressway. Not deal-breakers for us.

I called the front desk, and Melissa reassuringly said, "grab the shuttle, we'll make sure you're taken care of." And she did. We got a beautiful room at a good price. Pros: Staff - The staff was very friendly and generally helpful, albeit with what may be purposely deceitful explanations of platinum benefits and the resort fee benefits. Location - If you need to be in south loop or near Michigan Ave, this is well located. Cons: Rooms - The rooms are tiny and not at all functional for business. The bathrooms are smaller than what is found in budget European hotels. Toiletries - The hotel was missing standard toiletries. I first checked into a room that had zero shampoo. The next room had only shampoo and hand soap. For a hotel of this class, this is very weak. In room coffee - I only received one caffeinated coffee pack in my room over 5 nights. I only was replenished with decaf coffee packs/pods. Often I wasn't getting to my room until after midnight and having to leave early in the morning, so I was only able to rectify this issue one day. In room toilet paper - It was awful industrial-class toilet paper. In my experience Marriott properties typically use the hotel series of Charmin or Cotonnelle, but this was the type you'd find in a public bathroom. It was part of a clear theme that the hotel is generally skimping on soft products. No iron/laundry bag - Not that big of a deal, but the room has no iron/ironing board and there was no laundry bag. *** In sum, most of the issues are fixable but quite annoying when added up. The general sense of this place is that they cut corners everywhere they can. It was clear it was a lower-class hotel in its previous life and that they upgraded some design features but nothing else. It is not up to par with standard Marriott properties. I have stayed in many other Chicago hotels, and I can affirmatively say there are much better properties to stay at (both Marriott and non-Marriott) for around the same price.

The bathrooms are all new. There is a subway track next to it, with a slight sound, but I think it is much better than the one that depends on the track. There are several convenience stores and restaurants around. You can walk to the river, Millennium Park and the Art Museum, but the guide said that it is best not to come out after 8pm. There are also several theaters next to it. Lived two days before the Chicago Marathon and it was so expensive.

We stayed here after we decided to stay in Chicago an extra night. The location is great. Parking was near for $28. The hotel is outdated but I can’t complain that much since it was only $87. There is not a fridge or microwave in the room. It wasn’t bad for a last minute stay. 7/10

Juan checked us in early after we explained we had to be at a very important family party in the early afternoon. We were very fortunate there was a room available for us. He was very helpful and the room we had was on the first floor for two nights. I agree that the place needs some updating and TLC, but the people that work there couldn't be nicer! That being said, one big suggestion from two senior citizens: put some non slip grips in the tubs because they are quite slippery and we had to be careful not to fall while taking a shower! Parking is nearby and not at all as expensive as the downtown hotels. There is a parking garage down the side alley that is $25/day and also another garage at Walmart across street. There is a nice bench out in front of the hotel where you can wait for an Uber, or just people watch. We have stayed at the Willows several times due to our daughter living nearby in Lakeview. Also, someone said they only got one set of towels and they were small. We thought the opposite. There were a few sets of towels, they were quite large and smelled good!

Spending in Chicago in February 2020, [Line] The hotel is located in the center of the city center, in the prime location of S Michigan ave, directly facing Grant Park and directly facing Lake Michigan, the transportation is extremely convenient. Harrison Station (Red Line) subway is nearby. Exit the hotel's main entrance, turn left (go north) (walk or take the subway), cross the river, it is a magnificent mile Magnificent Mile [Living] Hilton Chicago is a long-established, luxurious and individual hotel. Once you enter the revolving door and walk left, you can see the bronze statue of the hotel group founder and the founding philosophy. The Lobby, the second floor, and the eighth floor are all public spaces. I live in a lake view room. The view is fine and exquisite. The interior layout of the room is square. The sound insulation between the room and the next room is barely good. Anyway, everyone knows that you should not laugh and shout at the hotel. [Eat] Exit the hotel's main entrance, turn right (go south) two blocks, and have Yolk brunch From 6:00 to 15:00, the crowds of people lining up to eat are heard. Regarding eating, I don't need to repeat it here. Everyone is a travel expert. [Education] Various museums, symphony concert halls, and libraries are all nearby. Even if your stay is short, at least go out the door and turn left (go north), buy a ticket and enter the Art Institute of Chicago once [Le] The hotel is located in the Loop area of the city center. You can walk around the Chicago Futures Exchange building and take photos. Just a few steps to Willis Tower, you can go up to the 103rd floor and stand at Sky Deck to feel the glass window protruding from the wall of the building. The foot is completely transparent. (Tempered glass, steel frame support). Chicago is a famous wind city, and the power of high winds can be felt more at high altitude. To sum it up, choose Hilton Chicago and you won't regret it or be bored.

We are Hyatt Explorist members but did not feel any difference being here. There wasn't the personal touch I have experienced at other Hyatts. We were told we would receive a text when our room was ready but thsi never happened. Only found out when I went to ask the check in desk if our room was ready. T.V. kept spinning and we got it fixed once but then it did the same thing again. Someone on our hallway was smoking **** so we smelled that for a few nights in a row. Sound quality was not the greatest. We could hear people next door and in the hallway pretty clearly. You have to take two sets of elevators to get to your room and to get to the ground floor. Not very convenient. The bar and restaurant was nice. Requests for extra towels and water were readily met. Conveniently located a block from Michigan Ave.

Our first time in Chicago - we only booked this place because it is within walking distance of City Winery where we were scheduled to see a show. (NRBQ!) We didn't even realize that the hotel is within walking distance of the United Center too. Old building has lots of charm, nice original art, and the staff was amazingly friendly and helpful. (That alone made it a good place to stay.) Room was normal amount of square footage, though why it had a full sized refrigerator in it is beyond me. No onsite restaurant or bar but we found a good sports pub around the corner on Ogden, as well as an authentic norteño Mexican restaurant around the other corner on Ashland. We were on a road trip and so needed parking; hotel has an adjacent lot @ $25 day with full in & out privileges so we jumped on that.

The hotel is in an excellent location, very close to Millennium Park, Glitter Park, and the Art Gallery of Chicago. It is a 10-minute walk to Lake Michigan and the cruise ship terminal. There is a Cantonese restaurant near the hotel, which is very delicate and tastes very good. The net red deep pizza restaurant Giordano's is also nearby. Next to the hotel is a CVC store, shopping is super convenient. The hotel is in a good environment, the view of Lake Michigan can be seen in the room, the service is good, the room is clean. A recommended hotel

I was here 4 nights for a conference. I would not recommend having a conference here as the sales and event planning side of the business was about the worst we've ever encountered as an organization. For the lodging part, my room was fine. Rather small - two double beds with a bench-type chair and a desk. There were drawers, open shelves, and a closet. One oddity - the iron was mounted in the center of the back wall of the closet which made it stick out and interfere with hanging clothes. Very weird design - irons belong on the side or a shelf on top, not sticking out where you want your ironed clothes to hang freely. The bathroom was likewise a tight squeeze but there was a countertop to put toiletries. The drain plug in the sink didn't work. The shower had both a handheld and regular head but both leaked no matter who I tried to turn the lever switching between the two. After my first shower the floor was a huge puddle despite making sure the curtain was in place, so I angled the showerhead more toward the wall to try to prevent the leak. There was only one bar of soap that I had to move back and forth between the sink and shower, but on the 3rd day the housekeeper left me a new bar. The shampoo and conditioner in little bottles were fine. The fitness room was huge, just like a commercial gym. You can do any kind of workout - highly recommended. If you opt for the club lounge, Anita is a great host and the various buffet breakfast items were really good. Not open on weekends, though. The option is a restaurant also on the second floor and a cafe with lots of cold options in the lobby. Speaking of the lobby, it was usually crowded and not quite enough bartenders to keep everyone served. Be prepared for sticker shock - a simple domestic draft costs $12 before tax and tip. The doormen and bell staff were helpful and I felt safe walking around day or night. Lots of pot smoking on the sidewalks for some reason but the various stores and restaurants were nice and clean.
