I just left aka after a two night stay-was supposed to be three nights but s typhoon delayed our trip from Tokyo. You do have to walk 5 minutes from the ferry with your bags but we travel light so not a big deal. The room was small with two beds and that’s about it. There are two communal toilet and two shower rooms. The place is small, I think 6 rooms so this was not a problem. What made the place nice were the friendly staff. Always smiling and trying to help you. The ladies apologize for their English but we had no problem communicating. The food prepared was excellent. You eat on the patio all together at 6:20 pm for dinner and 7:30 for breakfast. The food had a good variety and very fresh with hisae cooking right next to the patio. We took the shuttle they provide to the beach twice and also took the little ferry to Zamami island 300 yen each way. The islands are very quiet and are for people that want a relaxing beach holiday with no night life other than a couple tiny bars on the islands. We loved our time on aka at the hanamura as this is what we were looking for.

I really love this place not just because they employed Enko-chan (the shiba inu greeter), but also because of the excellent facilities and above and beyond Service! They have complete sets of snorkelling equipments (goggle mask, snorkel pipes, fins, life vest), inflatable tubes, beach mats, tents, and coolers that you can rent for free. During our stay, they drove us around town to look for lunch (a lot of places were closed because of Zamami Cup, a big local fishing event), he even drove us to and fro Ama and Furuzamami Beach. He would've also drove us up the observation deck for stargazing if not for the bright full moon. But what truly set this place apart from the rest is Uema-san. He found my lost phone, and personally delivered it back to our hotel in Naha. He even refused to take the money to pay for his ferry ride!

I stayed four nights at Kerama Beach Hotel in April 2019. I had a lovely stay and the staff went above and beyond to make my stay enjoyable. They have regular shuttles that take you to all of the important sights on the island so accessibility and transportation are not a problem at all. The rooms are very comfortable and clean. Western style rooms with ensuite bathrooms. And I had a view of the beach from my room. I really enjoyed all of my meals there. It's a set menu for every meal. There were Japanese and Western dishes that alternated depending on the day and everything was delicious! Everybody who works there is very friendly and helpful. When I had a few hours to kill before my ferry on my last day and decided to walk around the island, they offered to send my suitcase with the next shuttle so I wouldn't have to carry it around or have to put it in storage at the pier. I thought this was a very considerate gesture! When I came down with a bad cold (that I caught from the plane), they went out of their way to take me to the clinic and the store so I could buy electrolyte drinks to rehydrate. They made sure that I was taken care of. I cannot say nice enough things about this hotel - I highly recommend it! If I come back to Zamami, I will definitely stay here again.

We went to Tokashiki in the End of May. We contacted Sea Friend in advance and they have offered to pick us up from the ferry. The location couldn't be better - just a short walk from the Aharen beach. There are also restaurants and a shop in the 2 minutes walking distance. The rooms were specious enough, in Japanese standards. The crew is VERY helpful and nice. We asked to book us for a snorkeling run, and the arranged everything on the next day: We were given wetsuits, vests and masks. Then we were driven by the Sea Friend van to the beach and went on a boat (they have their own) to a key location for diving and snorkeling. Our instructor, Saori san was very helpful and it was a very nice experience. Very recommended, we will be back!

Do you dream of a small hotel with good food and awesome friendly staff, close to one of the possible most beautiful beaches with turquoise coloured water, you probably dream of Kerama Terrace Hotel. There is nothing quite like this place. Well, probably there is but I haven’t found it yet. From to arrive to you leave, you are taken well care of by the staff here. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and the food. The food is a chapter for it self. Normally breakfast and dinner is included and you are in for a treat. We are talking high class cooking here and if you stay 3 nights or more you are also in for a super delicious Japanese dinner. The location is great in the little beach town and everything is never more than a 5 minutes walk away. We have been visiting here more than 4 times and we will come back here again and again. There’s something about this whole place that just makes you calm down and relax.

2 adults stayed in a western room, 1 night off season. We spent a night here so that we could experience a scuba dive which we hadn’t done before. All the staff were friendly and our limited Japanese wasn’t an issue along with sign language. The room was quite basic but very functional. Breakfast was Japanese and was fine. We were picked up from Tokashiki port and taken back the next day which was great. The scuba diving and instruction was superb. The area is very quiet with limited restaurants open as it was off season, however the convenience store had some good cold options. It is a stunning island and we wouldn’t hesitate to stay at the hotel again.

Great place to stay for entire trip. Very clean room, no dirt on edge of walls, no rust, even window frames cleaned. No complaint at all. Friendly staff members. Only thing is that there is no convinence store near building. Due to the speciality of location, you will need a vehicle to go to either lawsone or family mart; so make sure to get items while your on way back to hotel.
