We booked this place hoping it would be one of the many, very smart independent motels you find throughout CA. Check in was painless and easy. We got a great patio as we had paid for a sea view but it did mean we were around the side of the hotel. The patio doors were surprisingly insecure - held by a small bolt. The room itself was surprisingly small (two double beds), particularly with the fireplace in one corner. The lack of a desk was a shame and we had hoped the room would be smarter/have more character. The bathroom was also relatively small. The beds were very comfortable. Remarkably when we got ready for bed we discovered that the room has no AC - not even a fan! We called reception and they said all the free-standing fans had been given out for the night. We managed to get one our second night but couldn't believe the lack of AC in California - the hotel is older but not so old as to not offer this. The pool was well located and of a good size. However, having been advertised as heated to 80 degrees I would say it was a lot colder. The pool hours (9am-7pm) were annoyingly restrictive, but not uncommon for outdoor pools and explained by the fact that some hotel rooms were right outside it! Breakfast was very poor - a grab and go bag with water, a piece of fruit and an unappetising, dry pastry - which forced us to go elsewhere. Overall given the range of choice and competition in Carmel, and the reasonably high room rate, we were left disappointed. The hotel lacked the character we had hoped for and needs to up its game where AC and breakfast are concerned. We would look to stay somewhere else if we returned to Carmel.

Very close to the highway and close to the 17th bay. The facilities have been slightly improved and the sound insulation is not very good. Back to another similar hotel. There is a complimentary breakfast, the bed is very large and it is ok in general. If you drive by car, you can stop at the door. The gas station is separated by two streets.

Breakfast was delivered to the door. It was more general. There is a sofa bed that can be turned out, which is more suitable for a family of three with children. The parking lot is not very large, but it is certainly enough to park because there are few rooms. The front desk is nice and very kind. This hotel is very cost-effective.

The biggest advantage is that the room is big and the bed is very comfortable, but the room facilities are like an old house in the 80s. Breakfast is only a simple breakfast such as coffee and yoghurt. Even the eggs are not likely to be expensive. Carmel is worth more than two hundred dollars.

If you are want to visit the downtown Carmel area and plan to park your car and walk everywhere, you are in luck with this hotel. We booked a king room for a two night stay and did plenty of research so we knew both the negatives and the positives. We had a very nice quiet room with covered parking, so helpful. It seemed to be unseasonably warm in the afternoon hours, especially in the sun with the high humidity, so the lack of A/C in the room was felt, but opening the windows and using the old fan did help. Maybe they could consider a ceiling fan in the future. We left the door open several times to get extra ventilation in the room, but we found that the bugs wanted to enter the room as well. As previously mentioned, there is no elevator, just stairs. If you have mobility issues, be aware of this. The lady that checked us in was very kind, welcoming and friendly. Appreciated her helpfulness. Just a quick reminder that everything in the downtown Carmel area is ”smallish,” meaning that shops, restaurants and sometimes local inns and hotels, are not big on space. If you feel the need to spread out, this is not the place for you, but it is in a great location and reasonably priced for an expensive area.

The room set the night before the check-in, the price has nothing to look forward to, about 8:30 in the evening to the hotel, the front desk has been off work, the glass door is attached with two envelopes, respectively, the name of me and another guest, guide me self-help Stay with wisdom. I also served the old beauty. So I didn't report any hope, but the room was really good, two rooms and one living room, on the second floor, it was quieter and more private, the area was bigger, the kitchen supplies were complete, I made a Chinese meal there. The place for breakfast is also the hotel lobby, really small, 10 people can not accommodate. Many guests are brought to the room to eat, and there are few choices. Check out that my credit card is not the same as the reservation, but it does not matter, or continue to pay. But not long after, I received news that I did not stay and deducted the room rate. I have to vomit the old American way of working, but Ctrip is still actively handling it. Overall, it was a pleasant stay.

Le Petit Pali at 8th was amazing! We celebrated my 30th here from Fort Worth, TX and had such an amazing trip. We brought our 7 month old son and had baby rental gear delivered via BabyQuip. Karen and Shaq set up the gear and moved us to a bigger room before we got there which was so sweet, we definitely felt welcomed as a family. Shaq was so helpful with recommendations and Karen was always checking in to see if we needed anything. The champagne breakfast is a fun touch and Natalie our waitress was on top of it. I always felt like staff was on top of cleanliness and our room was always so clean. Valencia the housekeeper did a great job and I loved that they were always cleaning around our time out of the room and trying to make in convenient for us. The decor of the entire place is precious and such a fun vibe and the T3 straightener, blow dryer, and clothes steamer are nice additions as well! This would be a great place for a girls trip, couple, or families. I previously read concerns on parking and the walls being thin but I will say the little amount of foot traffic I heard from the room upstairs didn’t bother us or the baby at all, and the parking during December wasn’t much of an issue either. If having a parking lot is priority then you could select the ocean ave property that Le Petit Pali has. Chris at the front desk was super helpful at checkout explaining the differences in properties so I know for next time but we would definitely come back here because of the great touches and the customer service! The room did have a mini fridge but I also needed a freezer for ice packs for my breastmilk and the front desk was happy to keep the ice packs in their freezer up front, just a note for moms traveling with milk. Thanks for an amazing 30th birthday trip! A note on the AC….most hotels in Carmel don’t have them which worried me a bit being from Texas but in December we kept a window open during the day and heater on at night and the temp was perfect.

When I arrived at the hotel at noon, the uncle at the front desk told me that I could check in at 1:30 pm. When I checked in, I changed to another uncle and told me I was sorry to check in at 3:00. Room facilities are old, shower water is cold, water is not hot enough and small. Breakfast is very simple.

The hotel is near the town center, and it takes about 10 minutes to walk to the commercial street. It can be said that the location is very good. There are many varieties of breakfast, including orange juice, coffee, yogurt and several kinds of bread. Compared with other hotels, there are more choices. The front desk clerk is very friendly, because the hotel does not have an elevator, so if you have luggage, you can ask the room attendant to help you deliver it to the room. The room is not big, the shower room is not big, maybe it is exhausted to the level of Samsung in China

The room is small and complete, this is the first hotel in the town, not open on weekends, so good luck. Twin room, the bed is a bit small, but the baby sleeps in a small bed with a sofa, just fine. Breakfast is delivered by the hotel, but the tip is not rich, but the miscellaneous fruits are pineapple, cantaloupe, cucumber and so on. Next to the hotel is lush, smelling a scent, can not help but buy. Carmel Beach should be visible across the bed.

The hotel in itself was very nice. I was however very surprised and disappointed in how the staff handled our stay. This trip was meant to be a gift from a family member who had arranged this type of gift already three times with the hotel in the past month. At time of checkout the staff had us pay for our gift and I only hope we didn't double pay and they took advantage of an elderly person. It was a horribly embarrassing and uncomfortable situation as this hotel was out of our budget. The three staff members I talked to did nothing to try and correct this and I was not about to call my family member to confirm they would pay. That's just an awkward way to get a gift.

Stay for three nights. The hotel staff are very friendly and the store provides homemade biscuits for guests to eat for free every day. Free parking is available in the hotel's small square, and the bonfire stove at night adds a lot of artistic conception. The location is excellent, in the center of the town, you can walk around various restaurants, cafes, specialty shops and galleries. The rooms are warmly furnished, all kinds of configurations are complete, the bedding is also very comfortable, and I am very satisfied with the experience of staying.

This hotel is a satisfactory hotel for this trip. The room is a suite, just five people sharing, a little small but very warm. Carmel is a beautiful town. In fact, it is very beautiful, the biggest one. The advantage is that it can be cooked, the facilities are very uniform, the parking is convenient, and the flowers are filled with flowers in front of and behind the house. The disadvantage is that the female reception at the front desk seems to have a shortcoming in the brain, and does not understand the hospitality. The man’s duty is too vigilant. We asked wifi in the evening, he was like a thief, because it was so beautiful that we quickly forgot about it.

The town of Carmel is very nice and very casual. The hotel has a Chinese taste, and the plants in the courtyard are furnished in a southern Chinese style with a statue of Buddha in the garden. The service was very good, the room also presented a small snack, registered the room, the handsome guy took us to the room to explain the layout and facilities of the room, also sent a flower. Not too far from the beach, strolling through the past and admiring the town. Not bad!

I can't pick words how great it is.. but I want to provide details. First and foremost. we stayed 1 night on May 18, we got room 328, this is a suite with fantastic location and it is very very quiet. I and my wife celebrated 22 years of our first date and initially we wanted to pick Ritz in Half Moon bay but we decided to give this place a try.. and oh boy - we will never go back to Ritz. 1. Hospitality. staff is awesome. reception is the most welcome and I want to say - naturally welcome. Very smiley. 2. Valley Kitchen restaurant is fantastic and I can't find another word. it is probably the best restaurant in Carmel. it has a European charm I absolutely love. We dined and had a breakfast. both were great. 3. ”Little things matter the most”. you know what I do not like? it is a extra charge for cappuccino if you take buffet breakfast. I love to run this test, we travel to Hawaii often - 90% of restaurants do it. they say ”drip coffee is included but cappuccino is not”. Valley Kitchen waiter just said ”Oh. I will bring you a cappuccino and it will be on us.” . I love it. 4. room is great by the most highest standards. it has a soaking bathtub on balcony and we spent an hour inside sipping champagne. 5. fireplace with automatic timer - fantastic. you just click ”30 min” and it will go down in 30 min. 6. large bathroom with a toilet inside separated by the extra door. 7. cocktails at the bar - they have a special in house receipts - I tried one on whiskey and my wife got a lavender one. we repeated them. both are just awesome. 8. We tried to book Spa, but it was full.. I assume it is very good because I called them for 2 days in advance and they always apologized that all is booked, and could not find a spot for facial. you should book in advance . on a scale from 1 to 10 it is 11. there is only one hotel in my life I would put on the same level of excellence - it is Four seasons on Maui.. nothing else is better. Thank you, we will return back for sure !

This is a wonderful hotel to stay in because it's centrally located. The beach is not very far, within 20 minutes (or so) walk. Because the hotel is centrally located, we did not have to drive anywhere once we parked at the hotel, but instead walked everywhere. The guestroom was beautifully decorated and very clean, and had nice amenities. The breakfasts were delicious, and the wine and cheese hour offered in the afternoons was relaxing and a good pick-me-up after a long day exploring Carmel. And last, but not least, Betty (who checked us in) and Miranda (each one was at the front desk at various times) are the bestest of the best when it comes to answering any questions you may have, and making sure you have a pleasant stay. They have been nothing but sweet, gracious, patient, and accommodating. The hotel AND staff? 10 out of 10. I might also add that if you choose to have your breakfast and/or your wine and cheese away from the room provided, there is a sun deck which has patio tables and chairs in which you can enjoy your comestibles outdoors.

Super nice inn, super nice old lady, super nice landscape and super nice city. My old lady helped me find a trash can. I was so polite that I would like to taste the handmade biscuits. I would like to recommend the nearby delicious food (really fresh and delicious) and feel the warmth.

Free breakfast, less variety, twin room, big bed, two adults are very rich, parking is free, the location is very close to the seaside and town center, the bathroom and Yuba bath is very warm, very interesting, the hotel service time From 8:00 am to 10:00 pm, the check-in day is 11 o'clock in the town. The hotel sends an e-mail to tell me how to stay in the room, where the room is placed, WiFi password, how to park, breakfast, etc. The service is very thoughtful and the best. Is the fireplace, bringing warmth to the wet and cold rooms by the sea.

One of the most gorgeous Hyatt properties that I’ve been to. Beautiful ocean view, quaint yet modern rooms, lots of plants, close by to point lobos state park, Carmel, Monterey, Big Sur. 2 bedroom units are spacious enough for 2 adults and 2 adult kids. Heated swimming pool during the winter is a plus. Gym is good more for aerobic exercises than weight training but weights and machines are available. BBQ grill available to use, and Safeway is only a mile away. Highly recommended.

Dad likes Carmel very much. Every time he comes here, he will live here very happily. The hotel is well-equipped and has a good service attitude. Sitting in the yard at night and drinking a bottle of red wine, the air is great, birds and flowers are scented, I think I will come here

We spent 2 nights here in a premium King with fireplace. Reception was very welcoming and offered cookies and water upon arriving. Coffee and tea is available in the intimate reception area all day. Music was softly playing when we went into our room which I thought was a great added touch. Bed was very comfortable and room was very clean. Loved the fireplace. Didn’t use the large jacuzzi tub but shower was hot. We selected housekeeping and the room was made up nicely and fresh water bottles were given. Hotel is close to walk to the main business street with restaurants, shops and all sorts of stores, and about a 12 minute walk to the beautiful hilly beach. This is such a charming place to stay and would definitely stay again. Reception is open from 8a-10p so if you are checking in/out outside of those hours, you need to make arrangements beforehand but very easy to do.

There is no dedicated parking lot, all parked on both sides of the road. If you don't pay attention, don't leave it in someone else's home. Catch up with the Pebble Beach Auto Show, parking is particularly problematic... There are no elevators on the third floor of the hotel, and the luggage depends on the bell***. There are also many advantages, breakfast is OK, the room is large, the scenery is good, and the baby cot can be added free of charge.

Carmel Town on Highway 1 is a good place to stay. This hotel is equivalent to a motel. The room is small but clean. It has microwaves, refrigerators, and other facilities and services like most hotels in the United States. Basically no, there is a parking space in each independent room. The hotel is about 15 minutes walk from the center of the town. There are no street lights at night. In short, the hotel is convenient.
