An impromptu flight booking to Gdansk all the way from Malta, left me totally perplexed when it came to decide which hotel to book for the break, until eventually I came across My Story Sopot! What an enchanting, little, elite property this led to be! My Story Sopot encompasses 17 self catering apartments, each boasting very up market furnishings, with lots of fine detail when it comes to finishing. The unit was spacious, very much clean, a bed with a thick, comfortable mattress, not to mention all the bathroom little luxuries including bathrobes, slippers, refined supplies etc. The breakfast was also of a class of its own, very much fresh, ample and with options that meet even the most challenging of tastebuds. Having said all this, one cannot not stress how very lovely the team are. Katia having checked us in, ensured we are very well settled in the nick of time, Martha, a little free spirit with a warm, genuine smile and last but not least, Sylvia, ever so efficient, warm and gracious exclaiming that she is truly honoured at being part of the team and how hotel life is what she considers as most rewarding. One cannot overlook mentioning the Managing Director, who was also very warm and humble, encouraging us to not hesitate to extend constructive criticism, if there is any. Sopot itself will probably come more to life in the summer months but yet, despite the  low season, this is the right place for those that wish to rejuvenate themselves through long walks along the promenade, with some lavish cocktail or a hot beer in between. Gdansk is also amazing, most particularly at night time. Gdynia is also pretty and worth visiting including its renowned aquarium. All in all, this is definitely a see you soon rather than a good bye; My Story Sopot will definitely be my first choice, next time round.

The hotel is a small, friendly hotel in the centre of all the action, so be prepared for all the hustle and bustle that entails! There is a lot of music played in the square which is lovely to sit on the balcony and listen to, but less appealing when you're trying to sleep! The room itself is smartly decorated, but we wished there were blinds rather than shutters on the window as the light came in early. Breakfast was very good with plenty of choice and a lovely outdoor area where we sat in the sun. We were only minutes from the pier and beach, and right in the town centre.

Excellent holday place in Sopot. Just away from the Centre. Reservation made via the website, and confirmed by mail. I had to be in Sopot for several days of work-meeting and this Villa was near, and looked good. It was Nice! Parking of the motorcycle was relatively safe (but outdoors, and accessible for public) Tip for motorcycle-riders: possibly ask if you are allowed to park behind the closed gate. Reception is manned 24/7. Check-in was easy, payment by card was not a problem. The room was a small apartment: Very Nice ( I should have made a few pictures). It had a cosy living-area, a spacious bedroom with an Excellent bed, and a good bathroom. The fridge is stocked with a few drinks: complimentary! Breakfast was Excellent each day, and if you ask for espresso will get excellent coffee. Staff was friendly and helpful. Checkout was smooth. Recommended place!

First things first. It’s our first visit to Poland and there’s no downsides of note. I say so as we found only a few folk rude, surprisingly in a kebab joint and a cafe in Sopot - the hospitality industry - but that’s likely cultural as often we are polite through gritted teeth ourselves, so hypocrisy recognised Sopot is a real gem of a place and a base to tour this part of Poland. We visited Gdańsk and Gdynia too. The train station is under 10 minutes uphill walk from Sedan. We chose Sopot as it’s a sea side place and it was the end of the summer season. The Sedan hotel is quaint. It is also genuinely charming. Charming also describes all the staff we met on our 7 nights here. It wasn’t a long enough stay really. You do need a level of physical fitness for this hotel as there are steps into it, there isn’t a lift and the staircase is quite steep. We were fortunate on arrival that the chap who checked us in, very quickly, also took our cases to the 1st floor quickly too. Breakfast food here is first class, especially as I’m a fish lover. There’s herrings & mackerel on offer daily with cress and tangy pickles. My wife isn’t a lover of such briny, vinegary things but there’s lots for her to enjoy including scrambled eggs, ham, cheeses, jams, yoghurts, cakes and pancakes. They bake their own breads too but their white loaf wasn’t to our taste as it’s dry, open textured and coarse but that’s personal taste. We observed plenty of guests eating copious amounts of it with butter so we’re in the minority here. The breakfast coffee machine has an umbilical milk tube feeding into it for cappuccino, it also offers espresso and black coffee as it wheezes, grinds and then it eventually splutters out good coffee; if it were a human the sounds it makes at work would easily burn off hundreds of calories. It kept breaking down and it was retired on our second last day. Our 1st floor room had two cosy single beds. It was a small room with a separate shower room with a shower that’s even smaller than on Norwegian cruise ships. If you are thin you should be ok. I’m not. Still we managed just fine but there is a caution here as the temperature on the shower is finely set: a slight twist of the handle either way and it’s quickly scalding or cold. So beware you don’t accidentally knock against it - a mistake you won’t make twice. The prevailing noise outside our room was seagulls crying with the odd crow caw. There’s in-room coffee & tea but no milk and tv and air con we didn’t use. The hotel offers 2 course lunches at 35 pz a person. We did try to get lunch but the day we did they only had chicken as they were waiting on a delivery so that was that. The hotel also houses a Thai massage parlour (see photo) separate entrance so it was our first port of call day 1 but they don’t offer traditional Thai massages. We found this strange so we went elsewhere, just a five minute walk away. So we enjoyed a great stay and it’s a 5 star place all the w

So good we had to return! We last stayed at Hotel Molo in 2017 as a couple with a double room. This time we took a larger room with sofa bed as we were travelling as a family. The room was huge! Lots of space and very airy with a window running across three-quarters of the wall. True part of the view was onto the train station however beyond this were the quaint and stylish side streets of Sopot. The bathroom was the ideal size with lots of towels and a shower that had some power and heat which was a relief after a long journey! The room came with a minimally stocked minibar: a beer, some wine, vodka, and so on. The room was relatively quiet and with the window closed only the odd rumble from the trains could be heard in a white noise kind of way. With the window open at night it could become distracting. The hotel is ideally situated and in easy walking distance of everything you’ll need to enjoy in Sopot. Already looking forward to our return!

As a group of 12 friends, we travelled to Sopot on 14 - 17 June 2019 and stayed at the Focus Hotel Premium. A 15 minute taxi ride from the airport, this lovely hotel is in a great area and a straight walk down the road to the beach. The hotel itself is a new hotel, very clean and the rooms are lovely. Very comfortable beds. The breakfast is great - with many choices of hotel/cold food - and they kindly provide you with a sandwich and tea/coffee to take out free of charge, which we thought was a lovely gesture to guests. The hotel has a bar, ATM and a luggage room. The staff were extremely friendly and made our stay a very enjoyable one. Can highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel location is amazing. In the middle of forest but only 15 minutes away from Sopot city centre. Very picturesque location with lots of walking routes. Sopot Opera close by and if you familiar with Polish music scene you may fancy a walk. Arrived early and we have been accommodated without any fuss, dropped our luggage in a lovely room and off we go. The hotel has got an amazing vibe about it. It has been for almost 100 years ( I think ) and you can "smell" ( not literally)history of it. We got a room with fire place and using it in the evening was a treat. Good food in hotel restaurant both dinner and breakfast. Will be definitely back.

I stayed in the hotel for 3 nights and really enjoyed my trip. The hotel is only 2 minutes walk from Sopot beach (you can see the sea from your window!) and is situated between Gdansk and Gdynia. If you hire a bike or enjoy running like me you can visit both places from the hotel easier following the coastal path/bike route. The breakfast gives lots of choice and is very tasty. The hotel is generally quiet so is perfect for a quiet break but families would enjoy it too being so close to the beach. Restaurant below the hotel means you never need to walk far for food or drinks! I will go again for sure. Matt UK

My wife took me to the Mark Knopfler concert in Gdansk, and since had stayed at Villa Flaming before and much enjoyed it, we came here. The location is superb, a two minute walk from the (spectacular) beach. The hotel sports a relaxed, cool design without being stilted. There’s a cute garden restaurant out front, people come here for the lovely atmosphere. You’re also free to have breakfast here. The rooms are well equipped and clean - ours even sported a large (!) terrace. Its a seven min walk to Molo, the main pier just off Monte Cassino. We loved the location in a beautiful tree-lined residential street full of cute old villas. Breakfast was a fresh buffet with a wide variety of choices. Definitely a good place for a romantic getaway by the beach. P.S. a nice touch: the team gets together for breakfast at the invitation of the owners. Every morning. Less waste, more fun at work. A very nice gesture.

Above all, do not expect luxury - no elevator, the place is older than God himself, and brings my childhood memories from summer holidays. I think that back in a days it was some employee retreat for dunno, maybe miners, or railway workers? The place is clean - by clean, I mean my standard clean, which is high. I only ate lunch there, as I don’t eat breakfasts and I preferred to spend evening in Sopot Center - but the food was good, fresh, in reasonable price. Stuff is nice and helpful, very friendly. The place accepts animals with surcharge - i think like 20 pln per night? (Dont remember). But, forget it all. You didn’t go to Sopot, to sit in a hotel, right? Seen the location? It actually is like 2 minutes to the beach. Via beach it’s another 15 minutes of walk, and you are at the pier. And this is why I recommend this place - cause honestly, I just needed comfortable bed, good staff and beach within 5 min walk - all of this at reasonable price, as for the location and date of visit.

Seven of us stayed for 5 nights at this hotel. This area of Poland is comparatively expensive, but still less expensive than prices in England. 2 of us had a room with a corner balcony, which was big enough for all 7 of us to sit out on, as the weather was glorious! The beds were comfortable, the rooms clean and it was perfectly adequate for our purposes. The breakfasts were excellent - we ate far too much! However, I would agree with a recent reviewer that the dinners we had on our first evening was non descript - very ordinary European food - nothing 'Polish'. I found the staff pleasant and heard the blond receptionist being extremely helpful to other foreign guests, going above and beyond to help to change their flights for them. I would say that this was a good hotel in this lovely location.

We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Sopot. Location Hotel Sopot is a ten-minute walk from the beach and about a mile from the pier and the start of Monte Cassino. It is a pleasant 20-minute stroll along the paved path which runs alongside the beach. A park area runs along the other side of the path. The hotel is also ten-minute walk from Sopot Kamienny Potok train station from where you can get a train to Gdansk which takes about 20 minutes. This is convenient as the train gets busy, but this station is the one before Sopot main train station, so it is not as crowded. Room Quiet - and our room was on the 1st floor at the front of the hotel. Nicely apportioned with a coffee table and 2 armchairs along with a desk area and chair. There is a small flat screen tv which offers only Polish channels. There is a decent sized safe which should be large enough to accommodate a laptop. Very comfortable bed, good bed linen. Storage space is lacking with one small wardrobe and nowhere to store luggage out of sight. Some of the shelves are so high that there is no way you could use them without standing on a ladder. There are 4 or 6 coat hooks and a full-length mirror. Tea/coffee making facilities are provided and there is a small fridge (not mini bar). A complimentary bottle of water is provided daily. Bathroom Nice and clean, more than enough good towels for 2 people. There is ample room for toiletries. A hairdryer is provided. There is a towel rail which is heated during the evening so is convenient for drying swimming costumes. Shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and hand soap are provided, albeit on a somewhat random basis. For the first 3 days I didn’t think hand soap was provided so I washed my hands using the shower gel inside the shower compartment but then the next day some soap appeared. Breakfast If you book room-only and have breakfast in the hotel the additional charge is 70 zloty per person. As much as there was a large selection of food and drinks on offer, I felt this represented poor value for money plus the breakfast room felt very frenetic, crowded and not at all relaxing. I always book room-only, have breakfast in the hotel on the first morning then find a nearby café or bakery to eat breakfast for the rest of my stay. There aren’t any cafes or bakeries close enough to be practical for breakfasting. However, there is a branch of Lidl next to the Sopot Kamienny Potok train station so we bought breakfast items there which we kept in the fridge in the room. Lounge Area/Bar (indoors) Comfortable and secluded seating area with many books and magazines. 2 televisions were on showing sporting events. A limited number of food options are available in the bar. We had club sandwiches there one evening and were very happy with them although the barman could have told us that they came with a side serving of chips when I ordered chips as well. They never appear to have any change at the bar so use a card or charge

We arrived at 6pm and immediately went out again. On our return at 9-45 pm we discovered we had mislaid the tiny bit of card with the 6 figure key code to our room. Reception was closed and so we telephoned the hotel number several times but no-one answered. Eventually we emailed Booking.com and then we had a phone call from someone from the hotel who gave us the code. This took 45 minutes. The following morning at 10 am reception was still closed and another guest was trying to phone the hotel number as displayed outside. The room was pleasantly decorated, but the windows - all 3 of them had white Venetian blinds that cut out no light whatsoever, so we were awake from 5am each day. Very annoying. After 3 nights we were shattered. Nice walk from hotel into Sopot and the room was clean.

The location of the hotel is still very good, opposite is a very large shopping mall, go out to the right for five minutes to go to the square. After arriving at the hotel, the hotel specialization was very young. At the time of check-in, the staff members came to the sofa where we were sitting in front of the sofa with our mobile devices. This is still very user-friendly and does not need to wait at the front desk for so long.

The room has been electronically realized, the lighting is soft, and it is extinguished by people's actions.
