0.24km from Zatoka SztukiAn impromptu flight booking to Gdansk all the way from Malta, left me totally perplexed when it came to decide which hotel to book for the break, until eventually I came across My Story Sopot! What an enchanting, little, elite property this led to be! My Story Sopot encompasses 17 self catering apartments, each boasting very up market furnishings, with lots of fine detail when it comes to finishing. The unit was spacious, very much clean, a bed with a thick, comfortable mattress, not to mention all the bathroom little luxuries including bathrobes, slippers, refined supplies etc. The breakfast was also of a class of its own, very much fresh, ample and with options that meet even the most challenging of tastebuds. Having said all this, one cannot not stress how very lovely the team are. Katia having checked us in, ensured we are very well settled in the nick of time, Martha, a little free spirit with a warm, genuine smile and last but not least, Sylvia, ever so efficient, warm and gracious exclaiming that she is truly honoured at being part of the team and how hotel life is what she considers as most rewarding. One cannot overlook mentioning the Managing Director, who was also very warm and humble, encouraging us to not hesitate to extend constructive criticism, if there is any. Sopot itself will probably come more to life in the summer months but yet, despite the low season, this is the right place for those that wish to rejuvenate themselves through long walks along the promenade, with some lavish cocktail or a hot beer in between. Gdansk is also amazing, most particularly at night time. Gdynia is also pretty and worth visiting including its renowned aquarium. All in all, this is definitely a see you soon rather than a good bye; My Story Sopot will definitely be my first choice, next time round.
